Best Plumbing Leak Repair in Raleigh NC

3rd Generation Plumbing Plumber
Jason from 3rd Generation Plumbing went above and beyond to install our kitchen sink and faucet after the big name retailer (no names mentioned, rhymes with woes) we paid to install them proceeded to bungle the process for two months. He persisted in following up with said retailer and kept us informed, even while he was on vacation. Then when he was finally cleared to install the sink, he discovered that the DIY countertop tile job by the former homeowners was overextended and required additional work to trim away before the sink would fit. He dealt with this as well despite the extra time and effort involved. Final result looks great and we are very happy with it. Throughout the process Jason was courteous, helpful, and professional. We highly recommend this business and plan to use them again in the future.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup Plumber
I have to leave a mixed review for Roto- Rooter. We had a supply line water leak on our toilet that caused extensive water damage. A plumber came out on Labor Day weekend within a few hours and wanted $300 to replace the water supply line ($7 part and 10 minutes labor). Plumber was friendly, but that was a pretty high dollar amount for that repair. The water mitigation team that came was also friendly. There were some last minute changes in times for them to show up and appeared to be lots of staffing issues. They removed wet flooring and removed our toilet and sink in the bathroom. All in all everything went well until it came time for us to put our toilet back. The tech had put the toilet in our garage and covered with a black trash bag. We didn’t think anything of it, but apparently the toilet tank lid must have broke or something during the process and instead of telling us, they appeared to cover it up and left me scrambling more than a month later to try to find a new tank lid.I would not recommend them as plumbers due to their high pricing, and I would not recommend them for mitigation after finding out they either broke or took a piece of my toilet and didn’t tell me. I understand that things break, especially during demo but not telling me was the issue.

Do not use! I chose John Hutchins’ company because he seemed very knowledgeable and was priced reasonably. The project started off well enough to get the big draws, but then started dragging and dragging. It was like pulling teeth to get them to do work. Finally they just stopped showing up. I had another plumber come in to finish the job. The mistakes he had to correct from John’s guys have cost me thousands of dollars.

I've had Walston Plumbing fix a few things in my home, from small leaks to big-time pipe replacement and they are always professional, clearly explain what is happening, and get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. Wally and his crew have been around for years and it shows. I would recommend them for any plumbing repair or new install you might have.

Used their service to replace my old electrical water heater with Hybrid water heater, they did not finish their job of connecting the electrical cables to new water heater as cables were short, they left saying that an electrician has to do the job, which they did not give an estimate before starting the job.
They did not use CPVC pipes, did not put the water heater on existing stand, and they were asking for more to add extra CPCV pipes that are required for my new water heater.
Basically i can tell they were very unprofessional, but they charge as other professionals do. DON'T HIRE THEM.

Jake arrived early and diagnosed the problem with my kitchen faucet immediately. The faucet could not be repaired and required replacement. He agreed to wait while I ran to Home Depot to purchase a new faucet so I wouldn't have to schedule another appointment! He installed the new faucet in no time flat. Very friendly and professional. They will have my repeat business the next time I have a plumbing need!

Raleigh Plumbing & Heating, Inc. Plumber
I contacted Raleigh Plumbing on Tuesday, advising that I had a tub that had leaking fixtures. I was asked how many handles/controls there were and I responded there were two, a hot and a cold and an outlet spicket. I was advised they could not assist until Friday and I said fine. I had thought they might call and confirm prior to Friday, but they did not. I made a trip to the local dump and returned to find their man standing in my front yard. I inquired why he did not call and advise he was on his way and he said no one had told him he had to. He further stated they had scheduled it between 11 AM and 1 PM. It was only 10:30, but I did not argue the point, I just figured someone had dropped the ball. I showed him where the master bathroom was and he promptly went to the commode. I assumed he need to use it so I left him some privacy. When I heard him shutting off the water I asked him what he was doing and he advised he had been told there was a problem with the commode. I showed him the tub and leaking controls and he said he wanted me to shut the water off to the entire house. I told him there was an access panel on the side but he insisted that the water had to be shut off so I showed him where the input from the street was controlled and he shut it off. He replaced little spring loaded gaskets in both the hot and cold faucets and went out and turned the water back on. He had improperly installed the faucets and had to go back out and shut the water off again. He redid his work and went back out and turned the water back on only to find that he had not properly aligned the faucets and had to go and shut it off and do it again. When he finished he simply walked out the door w/o demonstrating that he had properly competed the work. I have to call them back on Monday because when you shut the water off the water does not stop flowing/dripping for 15-20 seconds. Not being a plumber, but possessing an engineering degree I would guess that the spring loaded gaskets are not properly set and that when the faucet handles depress them to cut off the water flow they do not immediately seat fully and that is why there is no quick shut-off. All told, this was an unnecessarily unpleasant experience. I called a plumber and fully expected to obtain the services a plumber is supposed to provide. I do not believe the individual who showed up is a licensed plumber and should not be allowed out on his own until he develops the necessary skills to get the job done correctly w/o needing 3 tries and still not getting it correct.
