He talked me through my many questions about our plumbing issues, and also gave me options on what to do. Things started out great. But ended in the worst experience I have ever had with someone doing work in my home, and left me feeling unsafe.

My husband set up the appointment and I was there alone with my two toddler-age kids when the two employees arrived. They were kind and congenial. In fact, one offered to show me how he installed something so I could do it myself on a different tub if desired. Great service. When the employee was finished, my husband called the employee with some questions about the bill. If you care, they were rate-related questions detailed below. If not, skip to next paragraph:

One question was about the rate we were charged being different than the rate agreed upon by phone beforehand (Which Paul, the boss, confirmed when he finally listened.) The second question was about how much time he was logging. He was charging us for time filling out the invoice, for example. (A previous plumber we used had the invoice and payment ready within sixty seconds. This plumber took 15 minutes out in the car after he finished the work. Seems nitpicky... but really adds up at $160 an hr. When you consider we are being charged for transportation time to the site, that means we are paying a total of $75 for time they are not doing plumbing work).

At the end of the conversation my husband asked to talk to Paul to verify the rate. Meanwhile, I had no idea what is going on, but within about sixty seconds into the phone conversation, I hear the employee downstairs yelling on the phone to my husband. I was upstairs in my bedroom with my two young children. The employee then called his boss and was ranting loudly about my husband as the employee walked up the stairs to my bedroom. At that point, this large male who was speaking loudly and aggressively was standing in my bedroom between me and the door, about five feet away from me and my children, both of whom were wide-eyed staring at the man yelling about my husband. I motioned and quietly asked him to please finish the conversation downstairs. He did not stop or move and instead said loudly into the phone Now they're both suddenly unsatisfied.

Honestly this is a major safety issue. The employee was so congenial and appropriate up until that point, and escalated so quickly that I wondered if he has an anger management issue. Here are a few rules that I should not have to tell you: Do not walk up the stairs to my bedroom while you're yelling on the phone. Do not stand in my bedroom, between me and the doorway while yelling on the phone. If a female with young children in tow, politely asks you (a stranger acting aggressively and unpredictably) to leave her bedroom, you say Oh my goodness, of course. You do not argue with her.

I probably wouldn't even be writing this review, if I had gotten a response from Paul (the boss and owner) that indicated he understood the gravity of the problem. Instead, Paul was defensive. His first response to me when I told him what was happening was settle down and then well yeah, he was upset because your husband wasn't paying the bill (This is not at all true. The employee told my husband he'd have to talk to Paul to verify what rate was quoted and then he hung up on my husband. There was no threat whatsoever of not paying, and Paul jumped to this conclusion before even talking to my husband.). Once I told Paul it would be really wise to just listen well and recognize that this is an important safety issue and that the employee needs to take responsibility for his actions regardless of whoever is making him mad on the phone, he finally said okay, okay, he understood and would reprimand the employee.

Frankly, it seemed pretty clear to me that Paul didn't see it as a serious issue. That is concerning. He was apparently more apologetic to my husband and said they have all be working really hard and are tired. I hope indeed this was an anomaly, but we won't be using them again and wouldn't recommend them.

Ken Scott was the plumber on our brand new house. When a problem arose with our sump pump, I reached out to have him come take a look. Between my husband and I, we called almost a dozen times over 2 months and received NO answer. I even left a message stating that I'm new to the Portland area, if he can't help me could he please recommend someone else. NOTHING. Do not waste your time trying to get a hold of Ken at KTP Plumbing. Worthless and disappointing.

I reached out to Meticulous plumbing and initially received a availability date out several weeks. Because the work was minor (replace kitchen faucet), they advised there was a possibility of pulling that availability in. They were able to come out 2 days after initial contact! Joe arrived quickly with an apprentice. They were able to assess the job, provide an price, and complete the work in an hour. They were both professional, pleasant, and they left the work area clean. Top notch! I highly recommend Meticulous Plumbing.

Kent arrived at 8am and the window was 8 to 10am, he called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. Very nice and knowledgeable! I signed up for the service plan just because of the service Kent provided. 2 thumbs way up!!

Polite plumber and very professional plumbing service! Called to schedule an appointment, the agent provided a great time of visit, The plumber arrived on time and provided full inspection and repair at the same day. I recommend this company! Great service!

They seem nice, and they came over very quickly. They were prompt about returning calls and texts as well, and while I got cheaper rate quotes, their rate was largely in line with the area at $180 for a call-out.

However, despite me mentioning repeatedly to Nathan that my shower was American Standard both on the phone and in my text message, Nathan took one look and was like: Yeah, I don't know. I don't do American Standard. I opened part of it for him and showed him where it was leaking, and he was like: Yeah, you need a new part. I explained that I had already replaced these parts at the advice of another plumber and it still leaked, so could he take a look if something was wrong with the installation perhaps. He just said No, I don't know anything about American Standard, so I don't want to touch it.

He gave me a helpful recommendation of calling George Morlan, and they connected me to a company that will be here in two days, but that means another two days without a shower and we have to delay leaving on our anniversary trip on Thursday morning to let the new plumbers in. This could have been avoided if AACT Plumbing had told me they don't do American Standard when I told them over the phone AND in a text: I need an American Standard diverter fixed.

Lois was professional and educational. He is definitely an honest and trustable plumber!

I clogged my kitchen sink after putting too much down my garbage disposal. After trying for two days to unclog it myself, I decided I needed help. I called later in the afternoon on a Thursday, and they were at my house first thing Friday morning! The woman that got me scheduled was friendly and informative. The man that came to my house was prompt, professional, extremely knowledgeable and communicative, and got the job done very efficiently. I even had questions about another job that needed to be done, and he was really helpful and gave me information so that I could fix it myself, because I’m on a budget. it was so wonderful to have excellent help, and not feel like I was being taken advantage of since I didn’t know what I was doing! I will refer this company to my friends, and definitely call them again if I ever need assistance!

Bob and his wife dont pay people that work for them the amount of hours that they worked for them, when i worked for bob he would say disrespectful things about his customers, called one nasty and a seal and etc,

Call the company for the first time a man answer the phone did not tell me the company name just said hello super standoffish I asked if he can come out to check out my home he said no he can’t I asked him if he can refer to anybody he said no and hung up on me super weird I would not recommend them
