I am so happy I found Sutherland Plumbing. We've had them out for a couple of jobs before (replacing an ancient water heater, installing a pressure valve on our supply line) and they just came through again for us.

We had a tile company out to install a new bathroom floor and in the demo yesterday, we found that the toilet had been leaking. In addition the supply line valve wouldn't close completely so we had water continuing to leak. They sent Sean out here the next day and he not only fixed the leaking valve, but also figured out a sturdy, temporary way to install the toilet on the subfloor while also raising the flange so that it will be the appropriate height once the tile is installed.

We only have one bathroom in our house so if he hadn't been willing/able to make it work, we would have no toilet until we could get the tile installers back out.

I have confidence in the work they do, which is really important as I plan to live in this house for the long haul and I want things done correctly. Plus, everyone I've dealt with has been really nice and they explain things to me that are helpful to know as a home owner (without treating me like I should already know these things). They have earned my loyalty.

They were the first to call about our need for service. They were professional courteous covid concerned. They were the most reasonable quote allowing for senior discount and cash discount. Saved us almost 300$ from the next service estimate. Installed a gas hot water heater. Then cleaned up the area and answered many question. Would certainly use them for any new problem. Excellent.

Their prices were astronomical. Charged over $300 to replace a simple shut-off valve that took 15 minutes. They wanted over $600 to replace the workings of a toilet. I purchased a kit for $25 and fixed the toilet in 30 minutes. I would never call them again.

We were having a new toilet installed and the original installers could not finish the job due to a broken flange and it is a very old building so there were complications. I called D & F Plumbing and explained it was an emergency as we only have one bathroom. Within about an hour they sent over Warren. Warren was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done and had to find a part that worked for our old 1927 building. Warren was cheerful and professional and got it fixed for us. We had Patrick out to install our new kitchen faucet and garbage disposal in our renovated kitchen. He did an excellent job and was quick, professional, and very personable. He was also very understanding of our limited budget and was kind enough to give us advice on where we could save money on the project.
