Frank fixed a leaking gas supply line in my kitchen. He was on time, easy to communicate with, and completed the job quickly. Other companies were able to schedule me a week out at best- D&F Plumbing had Frank at my house within 3 hours of my initial call. Could not recommend them more highly- I will definitely use them for any future plumbing needs!

A water pipe broke in our garage, and the water shutoff valve was stuck. Warren from D&F arrived as quickly as he could, got to work and handled everything while remaining calm, professional, and courteous. The over 10 yr old instahot was removed and replaced with the unit I bought at a local store. The whole job took around 2 hrs.

After waiting a month for another plumbing outfit which repeatedly canceled, we were able to get a same day appointment with within 2 hours. They showed up when promised and did a great job.

I am sure they have been given 5 stars from many customers for exceptional service and my review was only one experience. I appreciate the kindness and professionalism of this company to take the time to follow up with me. They refunded the $ 119.00 that I paid for work that was not done. I've used these guys three times at two different homes and dealt with 3 different plumbers. All have been a pleasure and I don't think I'll ever call anybody else!

Hey, would you like to spend $1,800 on having a plumber work for one hour to replace a sink and two valves? Then D&F Plumbing is for you.Like a lot of people, we were in a bind after the big freeze we had in late December 2022, and after we turned the water back on -- our kitchen sink had clogged hot and cold taps.We had Randy from D&F come out to look at it, and they got us in quicker than any other plumber we called. After assessing the situation for about thirty minutes and discussing with me all the options, he recommended replacing the fixture and the valves. The fixture was something that I could pick up at Ace for $90. The valves were about $10 each. After about forty minutes, he had the work done. He explained everything in great detail and was very kind, helpful and professional.Most plumbers in this town that I've called charge around $120 an hour (plus parts). If he'd have charged twice that -- even three times that -- I'd gladly give D&F 5 stars. But this was TEN TIMES what anyone might expect to pay for this kind of thing. Do not call these people. They will take advantage of you. Use them only as a last resort, and maybe not even then.

Trevor and Matthew were just awesome; installed the free standing tub. Excellent workmanship my Matthew.. Also very good at follow up appointments, had a question with how the Faucet was installed Trevor showed up on a short notice and resolved the issue.. Plumber arrived right on time at 8 AM. I thought that was a good sign. The job was pretty involved. It required the plumber to be here for nearly six hours. He worked the entire time and only took one break of about 20 minutes. He was not a smoker, so he wasn't running outside every half hour and he never talked on his phone except to check with his office about issues involving the job he was doing for me.He was very pleasant and courteous. There were a few different times that I asked questions pertaining to the job he was doing. His answers were easily understandable and in language that was not industry jargon, but every day terms that anyone would understand. I never felt like he was looking down at me for my lack of knowledge, either. When I apologized for asking him too many questions, he said that was not necessary and he wished everyone was as interested in understanding what he was doing.I would not hesitate to use D and F Plumbing again. It was an excellent experience because of the professional on the job.

Lifesavers. Had an emergency technician out within two hours, replaced the burst pipe, and had the water back on within an hour.

Randy came out same day to solve an issue we were having. It was a super simple, quick fix for him, and we were able to get our water back on. Great experience from start to finish.

Johnny Walker was very knowledgeable, did a great job on repairs, shared information and tips about things he saw, went above and beyond, and is a super person!

Called them because our culligan undersink water purifier was leaking. D&F installed this 5 years ago and it took abouy 30 minutes. So the plumber comes out. Looks at it goes to his car for about 15 minutes and comes back says you need a new one and it will cost $780. to replace. !!!!! We said no, and then asked if it was okay to use now. He said no problem you can use the faucet but not the water filter. He leaves and we discover NO we can't use the cold water on our faucet cause if we turn on the cold water under the sink the leak starts all over again. He was here 30 minutes total, we paid him 120$ and we have the exact same situation when he walked in the door but less money in the bank. They suck!!!!!! Do not recommend

Had a really bad experience with D&F plumbing service and customer service and would not recommend them. I scheduled an appointment to fix a licking pipe in my laundry room and after 4 hours of delay I decided to cancel it. With no further explanation to why the plumber was 4 hours delayed they agreed to cancel, but both customer service and the manager Kevin were extremely rude over the phone. With so many great services and customer services in Portland, I’d try a different company for sure.

We had an emergency for which we would have gladly paid the emergency call out fee. After 45 minutes we resolved the problem on our own and called back to cancel the call out - for which the tech had not yet been dispatched and well before the estimated time (which was an open window after 7pm). We were still charged the call out fee with no options. I will never use this business and will inform anyone I can of this predatory business practice. Had they given us a refund we would have been customers for life.

Replaced toilet in the main bathroom. I am pleased that they were able to do the work the work the same day. John was very helpful and did a great job.

The work came out well, but the rates were high. On one hand we were warned this would be pricey. On the other hand, it was very pricey. Good work though and the guy who came out was nice.

I've never had such detailed plumbing done, really clear what he was doing and very good communicator, clean, polite. And my dog loved him.

I asked them to hookup (hand screw on washing machine) 1 hot and 1 cool water hose. They charged me $119 to come out and $141 for 3 minutes of work. These guy are pathetic at best, when you overcharge for 3 minutes of service. The positive reviews on here are probably from family friends and not real customers.

This company is honestly fantastic. They're affordable, responsive, knowledgeable, and always so kind. I won't go anywhere else for my future plumbing projects. #customerforlife

Replace sump pump. They even drove out of town to pick up a special replacement version (with battery backup). Fantastic job!

Robert did a great job getting our pipe unclogged. He was responsive to my questions. He explained things well. He was neat and tidy during the whole process.

******THIS COMPANY RIPS OFF THE ELDERLY********. There is a special place in hell for people like this. Charged over $3000 to install a hot water heater and then wanted to overcharge for some additional work. I used Bruner plumbing and their bill was reasonable (and $800 less than D&F for the same job). Thank god I intervened and stopped my 86 year old parents from being ripped off again. Shame on you D&F. You are absolute garbage.

Was charged $785.00 for 1 hour of work. All the plumber did was cut a pipe and put a plug in it! Would not use again due to high prices!

Made appointment for plumber to replace a standard kitchen faucet. We were told it was a $119 consultation and that fee would go against the labor. The plumber arrived and quoted us $600-1000 for labor - for a standard replacement of a faucet we had already purchased. I called D&F before posting this review, and listened to 20-30 min of hold music about how D&F treats you like Framily - aka friends and family - and would treat me the way they would treat their Nana. I guess they would gouge their Nana.... we also paid the consultation fee for the pleasure of being gouged.Made a new appointment and replaced the faucet for $119 and under an hour of labor.

I heard a leak in the wall by the water heater. They came the same day and fixed it. My home sustained very little damage and my water's back on. Thank you to John!

Although I cannot give the phone people I worked with at D&F Plumbing an enthusiastic endorsement, I was 100% satisfied with the knowledge, workmanship and professionalism of Joel who performed my work.He came prepared with parts & equipment to resolve my plumbing issue, even though he had no idea what he was going to find. He worked quickly and creatively in my unusual situation. Just as importantly, Joel made sure the area was clean when he was finished.I would certainly use D&F Plumbing again, but with the understanding that I may need to be patient dealing with the process of getting a plumber on site.

This company is Price gouging, especially  if you are in a bind. I had a gas pipe leak emergency. I called them at 3pm on a wed. to come the same day. They said it would be a minimum  of $199 an hr to come out at 5pm   because it was after hrs. I agreed, when they got there they gave me a same day price to fix of $1800 and next day $800. My Plumber came out the next day to fix for $395.  I was charged the $199  and the D&F Plumber was  there for  15 min to give the price gouging estimate . Don't waste your time or money.  I had also done all the excavating so that was not included in there price.

I set up an appointment a month ahead of time for them to come out and do a bunch of plumbing repairs I took the day off and I used a vacation day, which cost me $150 and they called me and told me they didn't have enough people to cover all the appointments that day and they called me a few hours before my appointment.Thry should let me know the day before, that way I didn't have to take vacation and burn a hole in my pocket. The right thing to do would would have been to give me a $150 credit. I mean don't get me wrong they're very nice people it's just unfortunate but this happened to me twice!

D&F assisted me with a basement bathroom remodel by completely rerouting my septic lines for washer, sink, and tub. They also installed all necessary water lines and vents along with several smaller but necessary details. This was a very large job that gave me an opportunity to watch the various professionals, who were responsible for different aspects of the work. Every single person always acted in a professional manner from the moment they entered my property to the moment they left. Polite, clean, hardworking, few breaks, no cigarettes or foul language. After a full week of these guys in and out of my home, I have absolutely no complaint. I was so impressed with the respectable talented staff of employees, I would recommend this company, hands down, every time. Thank you, Evan, who oversaw the entire project. Evan never made me feel ignorant for my plethora of questions and explanations. Evan recognized my desire to know each employee who entered my home, and made effort to introduce or give me heads up on who was coming in and what they would be doing. Evan kept me informed on details and was never frustrated by my popping in to the work space, to take a picture or ask a question. I could go on all day with accolades regarding this most professional and respectable company. So, I will end with this thought. If you chose to invite strangers into your home to assist with your home plumbing project, make sure you chose who you can trust. D&F is trustworthy.

I called D&F to repair a tub drain. After providing me with a quote for replacement of around $2000, they requested a downpayment, which I paid. They sent 2 plumbers out to perform the job, at which time they were not able to do the job because they discovered a bigger issue that required the whole tub to be replaced. They provided me with 3 more outrageously expensive quotes (5-6k, not including tile work and cost of tub) of which one was not even possible to do due to physical constraints.For all this, they charged me a diagnostic fee of $500 and told me that if I want the work to be done they would charge me the cost of labor on top of that. I am still waiting to be reimbursed for the remainder of my deposit. All in all I would not recommend this company to do anything in your home, as simply having them show up could cost you hundreds of dollars with no work being done.

We scheduled them to come out and find a leak in our basement that we assumed was involving our washer. At first the service was fine, the plumber was friendly but happened to misdiagnose the problem. The flooding continued so we called them to come back.For the follow-up appointment, They completely missed their appointment without giving a courtesy call, and called us 2 hours after the window that was given. We set up an appointment for the following Monday, a week later. The day of I called to cancel because of an emergency and there was no record of my appointment. The man on the phone proceeded to tell me it was not their fault that they didn't contact us and for not showing up, or that they had no record of our appointment ... and instead of trying to make it right he just hung up on me.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

2 hours late. Guy shows up and says he can't do any work cause he'll be on Overtime. Then talks for about 20 minutes. Does absolutely no work. We got charged $120. Nope. Never will try to use this business again.

I've used D&F for remodeling my home and most recently an apple slice being flushed down the toilet (4 year olds 😤). The plumbers are the nicest and the job is done right. I've been impressed with how quickly they can show up too. Highly recommended. Expensive, but that's Portland for you.

I had a sudden pipe failure with water gushing. The water turnoff was four me and 3 neighbors. The receptionist was careful, and got full information, and Ben was out the same day to do repairs and get us all water again. He was very efficient, knowlegeable, and did a great job. I highly recommend them!

A very mixed review as the first technician that came to repair a leaking faucet I would give a 1 star rating as he pretended to replace a part but then when leak continued and I called he admitted he never actually replaced the part because he couldn’t get it. The second technician who came back to install a new faucet was outstanding.... Ozzy. He was very friendly and professional. The reason I am giving 4 stars is because Ozzy was so great but couldn’t give 5 stars because the first technician was so bad.

I contacted D&F plumbing to replace an old cut water line to my refrigerator. The previous path was already drilled and outlined, so a fairly simple job. The operator said a plumber would come out and charge a diagnostic fee of $119 to “address what was wrong”, I explained a diagnostic was not needed, as this was a new service. I asked for a broad price range and was informed the plumber had to come out to provide an estimate and the $119 diagnostic fee would be waived if I had the service completed.I made the appointment and was told it was scheduled for the afternoon and would likely be around 1:30. Day of service and the plumber shows up at 10:30, 3 whole hours earlier than expected, with no heads up or warning. I had moved all my afternoon meetings to the morning to accommodate the appointment… I told the plumber what I needed, he punched it into an iPad and said D&F would charge an outrageous $1,210 for this…!!! No reason why this couldn’t have been provided over the phone, to which I would have said “thanks for your time, no thank you.” For a $119 the plumber was literally inside for two minutes. After I said no and thanked him, he knocked on my door a minute later and said he could do it for $695, why not lead off with that price!?! I said no initially and now the price magically drops by 40%! Shady business practices; they come out to see if they can cheat you and worst case scenario they fall back on their “diagnostic fee”.

The fellows were kind friendly even looked in the nest at the baby birds and put on there feet blue shoe covers so they wouldn’t get field muddy also decided to bore under ground for piping to septic to save top soon good job see them again on Tuesday

I'm only writing this review because it's my last hope at getting management to return my call and honor what they said.When I first called to schedule an appointment, I was very specific in asking if D&F Plumbing can do copper radiant floor line repairs in concrete. I was told they could. Because this was an urgent matter, I called them back a couple days before the scheduled appointment and explicitly asked if they would have the correct tools on hand at the time of the appointment to do the repairs, to which I was also told yes.The plumber that came out was very nice and I have nothing against him, but there was a lot of confusion on what method for repairing the line was actually to code and it just gave me a really uneasy feeling about going with something and then having it be wrong and not up to code when I had the inspection done. I asked if there was any guarantee/refund they could give me if the method recommended was not to code, and I was flat out told no. I was also informed that the equipment needed to braze the line was with another plumber, so if I decided to go with that method, it wouldn't have been done that day like I had been told it could be. So I called the city inspector, left a voicemail, and waited. I had every intention of getting the line fixed that day, that's why I called and asked very specific questions ahead of time, but it never happened.Since this was a very urgent matter, but I was given very uncertain and conflicting advice leaving me feeling uneasy, I called and spoke with a manager and he said he would give me a full refund for the $119 service fee that I was charged and I was very appreciative of his understanding. Well, here I am, 3 months later, and I still haven't gotten the refund. I have emailed twice, called 3 or 4 times and have been told a manager will be in touch, but I'm still waiting for that call back.

Fast, Friendly Service!! Our technician wears friendly and took lots of pictures so we could see the problem (or in this case no Problem) definitely hope I never need service again, but will call them if I do!

Charles was amazing! Fixed my issue and explained what the problem was and how to prevent it. He was efficient and left my house in a clean condition after he left. I’ve used D&F plumbing before and will continue to use them!

I had the greatest of great experience with Rob D. of this place with service. The employee was very kind and generous to my delicate need in getting my kitchen sink fixed. He was quick and considerate after checking out the problem with getting my sink fixed as soon as possible. He was concerned about me not being able to use my sink for a week. So he juggled some things around to get me taken care of in a couple days. The service only took 3 hours to remove and replace the sink and pipes with his helper and left everything clean afterwards. He was humming a happy song that was contagious and pleasant. If you want your plumbing needs taken care of with care call Rob. Thanks for everything.

Patrick was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He explained the problem and the options. I was so impressed with him that I decided to go beyond what was necessary to solve the problem and do other work to stave off future problems. The price was high, though.

People are polite and punctual but very very expensive. They quoted me $800 + charge to replace leaking Delta brand shower carteridge. I never imagined that it will be that expensive for that kind of job. Wasted my $119 for visiting/diagnostic charge.

Joe Hammers did an excellent job today fixing our broken pipe outside. He has outstanding customer service skills and explained in detail how the repair was going to be made and when finished it was soooooo much nicer that before he had started the project. Highly recommend Joe and D&F Plumbing A+ service!

Randy with D&F Plumbing discussed many aspects of the plumbing in my older home. He seemed very knowledgeable, experienced, and confident. He easily addressed the replacement of my washing machine valves. He was very professional and personable, and I feel confident the work was done well, and I won’t have problems with this issue any more. The price was higher than I expected, but I really don’t have any other experience with plumbers to compare it to. Overall I feel good about my experience with D&F Plumbing, and would definitely use them for future plumbing needs.

Jason was very on-point for our plumbing emergency. Pertinent updates before, during, and after his visit to the property. Personable and professional. Hope he can help us again when it's not an after-hours call!

James was on time, clearly experienced and professional. He unclogged the drain and gave advice. Happy with his service. On the other hand, I had asked the company to send someone who could fix my faucet also, but the person answering the phone didn't understand my request and so the plumber dispatched didn't have the right tols to work on the faucet. Which means I'd need to have a second visit at $119 minimum if I wanted my faucet worked on.It was $450 to get my pipe unclogged. About 30 minutes of work.

Steve was incredibly friendly and great to work with even when there was no leak to be found. Not condescending or arrogant like some contractors, will definitely be reaching out to D&F again!

I called D and F to help me figure out how to turn the water back on that was accidentally turned off. They were supposed to call me back, but instead showed up within minutes and fixed the problem free of charge. I'm very happy with how they handled this issue and I'll definitely be using them on the next job.

Derrick was great. Walked us through our possible choices with the installs. Had good suggestions and explained the benefits of each. Once we chose, he did a great job explaining what he was going to do. Showed us how to use the new system with the water heater and the new features with the sink when he was finished.

Replaced leaking laundry room faucet. I provided the materials. They were fast, courteous, and professional. Unfortunately they were also ridiculously expensive. I paid $370 which included a 10% discount. 5 stars for quality, 1 star for value.

Our plumber was extremely nice, knowledgeable, and honest. Amazing work and customer service! However the prices quoted to us we're VERY high. $700 to unclog a toilet, and $600 to replace parts in the tank. This meant we were not able to afford all services we needed, but our plumber was very helpful and open about our options, and we found a way to cut the cost down to $300 (still more than we were hoping to pay, but it was an emergency) for a more minimal service that got one of our two toilets working, and got advice on how to fix the other one ourselves since it was just a tough clog and not a repair. If we had chosen to not have any work done, it still would have cost us $100 just to have them look at our toilets.

I had to rewrite this, it was a 5 star review beforeThis company has such dishonest billing practices and policies. The new owners are no where near the same. After 8,000 worth of incorrect plumbing I had to hire a new company to come and fix the actual problem for $2000

Price seemed pretty high for the amount of work done (less than 10 minutes.)After dealing with less than competent repair people in Portland, it was nice to have a pro here who fixed the issue quickly. We could've actually done the work ourselves, but wouldn't have known what to do.I believe the deal was $750 flat fee for the work. Not a bad day to be in the plumbing business!Would be nice to find some good, honest people who won't charge such high prices. I used to have a mechanic who would routinely reduce the estimate cost when I came in to pay. That was awesome! That's a different review, though.

I had called several plumbing companies and no one could come for at least 2 weeks. D&F arranged for after hours appointment and then had a cancellation so was able to waive the fee and come during the day. Randy was outstanding-found the problem with our outdoor faucet, fixed it and answered some other plumbing questions for me. Would hire them again for sure. Very responsive and great communication.

Brittany did a great job of getting the installation we needed set up, and scheduled within 24 hours of my call, even though it wasn't urgent. Joe was prompt, knowledgeable , and thorough. I really appreciated his pleasant attitude and helpful explanations. Will definitely call D&F the next time we need plumbing service.

Edit:Dont give them your card until after work has been done.They are the only plumber requiring this. Not only did they charge me after not coming into my home but they refused to refund the charge.I have put in a dispute with my card.Original:They said they needed my card on file when I called for a deposit to come look at my kitchen sink. They never came and then they changed my card anyways.Be careful!

Dealing with them was the worst experience with a service provider.After this experience with the company I can only say one thing to this company… Just because you know the trade, that doesn’t mean you should be in business. Their services are extremely high priced.One of their plumbers came out to my house because my bathtub was draining slowly. He said he wasn't sure if snaking the line would resolve the problem, but if he even attempted it, they would have to charge $449. Instead, he recommended replacing/upgrading the plumbing underneath the tub for $1304. I declined both and had to pay a $119 inspection fee, since I didn't have any work done.It's worth noting, I tried to get a quote over the phone before the plumber came out, but they don't provide any quotes over the phone. Only their plumbers can provide quotes after determining the scope of work. Had I known the cheapest option was going to be $449, I never would have asked them to come out.I went to Home Depot two days later, bought a $25 snake, and had the drain cleared in 15 minutes.

I called D&F to install a sink and faucet that I supplied at my small business. They quoted over $900 to install the sink with a 10% discount to bring the total to $832. I assumed that at that price, surely this job would take them 4 hours or more. In reality the job took 2 hours from when the plumber arrived to when he left. I unpacked the sink and faucet for the plumber. No special tools were used. The plumber didn't even mount the sink centered underneath the light fixture or bother to ask if I would like it centered beneath the light fixture. Instead it was installed up against the wall. When asked, he said, yeah...customers usually like it centered beneath the fixtures. My thought: so why didn't you center it or ask if we'd like it centered or against the wall? The caulking was poorly done and I had to redo it two days later after it cracked where it met the wall. I later had to hire an electrician to move the light fixture so that the light fixture was centered above the sink.Understandably feeling that I was robbed by this company I called their customer service and asked for a partial refund, considering that the job took two hours, their hourly rate was effectively $416/hour. They refused and said that they charge flat rates and not by the hour. The representative said that they charge a flat fee whether it takes 2 hours or 10 hours. Irrelevant. It took 2 hours. Furthermore, how often does it take 10 hours and how often does it take the 2 hours? It is clear to me now that they charge a flat rate to take advantage of customers who are either on a deadline and need something done (as I was), or might not know how long a job will take, and therefore it allows them to maximize the amount that they effectively make per hour. It is clear that they charge such an exorbitant rate on a customer supplied sink because they don't have the added benefit of buying a sink at wholesale then drastically marking it up.When given an opportunity to make it right, they refused, saying that they had already given a 10% discount--absurd, like, they were initially planing on charging over $900 for this job!? I strongly dissuade any potential customers from using this service and choose a company that charges by the hour, or whose flat fees come close to aligning with the amount of time the job will take. If given the opportunity, they will charge you over $400/hour for the simplest jobs.In short: this company charges over $400/hr for simple plumbing jobs, strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

This company is horrible. Stay away! They are NOT honest! They told me the diagnostic fee is $119 on the phone, then they sent someone to diagnose my water heater. The technician went there and told me the diagnostic fee was $399, but he refused to tell me the details of the issues. When I told him that the customer service told me the diagnostic fee was not the number, then he told me to pay $119. He asked me to get a new water heater which was far more than the market price.

We were having a new toilet installed and the original installers could not finish the job due to a broken flange and it is a very old building so there were complications. I called D & F Plumbing and explained it was an emergency as we only have one bathroom. Within about an hour they sent over Warren. Warren was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done and had to find a part that worked for our old 1927 building. Warren was cheerful and professional and got it fixed for us. Was assured they would be here on Tuesday between 8 and 9 am. I was also assured they would finish the job that day. (6 feet of gas piping). Taking them at their word I scheduled gas company and HVAC company to finish the project that week. I take Tuesday morning off work to meet with the plumber. He arrives 5 hours after scheduled time determines he doesn't have material for the job and sends an estimate, tells me to reschedule and bills my card for 119 dollars. So I missed a half day of wages was charged 119 and have to reschedule 3 different appointments. They promised all the right things but were unable to keep any of them. I would not recommend them.

The plumber(Joe) was professional and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all my questions and provide a quick service. I would recommend these plumbers again.

On top of this he also extended a 10% discount to ensure complete satisfaction for the customer. There was a mix-up with a prior scheduled appointment and Trevor's enthusiasm for the customers satisfaction constituted for this. Our old water heater broke at 9pm at night and semi-flooded our basement. Randy from D&F was out at our house the next day by 10am even though we had never worked with them prior. He quickly assessed the situation and replaced our water heater that same day. He worked super fast, was very helpful with his explanations, and we have running water in the house again! Plus our dog loved him - so bonus points for that :)Thanks, Randy!

These guys were really great! The valve for out main water line ruptureda main line and we had to shut off our water. We called a few places that night but no one was able to help. The next morning I did a quick Google search and D&F was one of the first places I decided to call. They were able to come out that evening and within 30 minutes they had everything fixed. They send you a link so can see your plumber coming and know exactly when they will arrive. This was pretty helpful being we had some other things going on at that time, so we were able to move things around.John was very friendly and professional. He took his look around everything and showed me all the fittings and things he was going to use, and described how he was going to fix it. I don't know much about plumbing so it's nice to see these things laid out for me and explained what they do. I felt pretty comfortable with his work and everything works perfectly.The invoice was great too, because it had photos of the work as he went through. The next day my property manager asked if I had any photos before and after and I was able to use those.He probably could have been done even faster if not for the fact we had to wait 15 minutes for the water lines to drain after we shut off the water (our property manager forgot where the junction box was so they had to turn off the water for the entire housing group, and we are at the bottom of the water lines lol).I'll most likely be looking to these guys for any future work because I had an overall good experience with them. Fast after hours service and Ben was very professional and kind to 2 senior citizens. He made us feel that our leak was important to get fixed and we really appreciated all his efforts fixing our the leak in our very awkward corner kitchen sink cupboard.

I called D&F plumbing for a leaking toilet problem, I got and appointment for the next day, Steve came out, assessed the problem, gave me information that helped me make a decision, the work was done in a timely professional manner, problem solved. Very unhappy, had a leak under house, easy to get to. Paid $724 for maybe a 10 min. job if that, cut an inch of pipe off then reattach to existing shark bite. Apparently did not inspect cut piece to realize crack goes down further than 1 inch. Going to have to have another company figure out how far the crack goes back and was quoted almost half the price.

Came to my house and wanted over $5000 to install 50+ feet of a gas line. Then wanted to sell me other services without me asking. All their services are over priced. Would not call them again.And the kicker is, they charge $119.00 for the estimate. They must use gold plated pipes.

We loved Joe Hammers. He was very professional and quite helpful. Although he only came out originally to discover the problems and schedule repairs, when he couldn't find a plumber to fix things today, he stayed and did it himself. We were very impressed and our dog loved him.

Took the extra time to listen to the situation and followed me through all the experiments I did to possibly figure the problem. They also asked questions concerning problem. They were prepared however the project ended up taking two days but was repaired and the situation was resolved. They also wore masks and maintained the distancing rule. Ozzy came in and took care of business right away and let me know exactly the steps he was going to do and then he did them. The leaky galvanized pipe valve was cut away and replaced with a new valve in the line. The kitchen sink plumbing leak was solved too. I would highly recommend him and the staff answering the calls made sure that we were connected today for a one-day service.

We recently used D & F plumbing and weren’t initially satisfied with the service however the management here was very responsive, kind and easy to work with to ensure that our needs were met. We will be using this company again in the future because of their great service!

D&F has always done a great job fixing the plumbing on our 1940’s home and the quirks that come with working on older piping. The estimator gave us good options for fixing a shared kitchen and laundry drain that was at end of life. The plumber that did the work adjusted the installation as he worked through the job and it turned out a million times better than I had expected. All of this one week after estimate and complete in one day. Excellent speed and quality.

This is our 2nd time using D & F Plumbing with Jason. We had a great first experience with Jason when he did our washer and dryer reno to the garage. This time our bathroom shower needed to be fixed and he wowed us again. Professional, kind, explains things, great price, and he always leaves the area clean after doing the job. We will be moving on to the kitchen sink soon, and my wife and I are definetly calling on D & F again, and asking for Jason. He is our go-to guy!

I feared an expensive repair would be necessary for a pipe under the house. It turned out to be an embarrassingly minor problem--crud in the faucet filter screen. Jason B. started with the easy stuff, finding it right away. But here's why the 5 stars. Got the appt quickly; got a call that he was available ahead of schedule; he was polite, professional, asked if there was anything else I wanted him to look at while here; checked pressure & cleaned another faucet screen & left me a spare; wiped counter when done. Sometimes it's just the little things that make you happy to do business with a company.

James came out and found the leak in my water system right on target. He explained the whole process while he was working and I had confidence that the leak location he found two feet down was correct and it was. The three stars is because I find D&F's pricing excessive.

Had a great experience with the D&F team. Scheduling was easy, with great communication and our plumber Loren was very professional and knowledgeable. Not only did he fix the issue but showed me the steps to fix it myself should it happen again. Would give 5 stars but the price was steep. Loren was upfront with the price so no issue there, just a surprisingly high hourly rate.

Technician was nice and reasonable. The original prices that were quoted ($750 for outside faucet replacement) was ridiculous given that the parts are $50 on Amazon and the labor was less than an hour. I have no problem paying good rates to skilled technicians, but $700/hr is insane

D&F plumbing is my new go-to company for plumbing repairs. Living in an older home, it seems there's always a need for a good plumber. When we discovered a leak in the kitchen ceiling, we put off fixing it for years (yes, years)...We finally decided to remodel the kitchen and called in a pro. Not only did they fix the pesky leak, they updated our fixtures and added a deep sink. Awesome work guys!

This is now my go to plumbing company! Called them at 7:00 am and they had a plumber out toMe by noon! He came over in a really cool converted bread truck, ask where the problem was( in the crawl space ). right under my house he went, identifying the problem and fixed it right on the spot. Extremely professional and very very skilled craftsmanship from top to bottom. Jason was fantastic. This is a union outfit as well. Just shows what quality training looks like when a problem needs solved. Thank you D and F Plumbing for your help! Will alway use you moving forward!

Had a leak that started to drip from the ceiling downstairs. We already cut a hole in the ceiling inpin order to try to see the problem before the plumber came. He arrived and looked around in the hole downstairs as well as cutting two more holes in the wall upstairs and still didn't know where the leak came from exactly and recommended replacing two pipes. $1100 for diagnosis which took 2 hours as well as capping the lines, $2800 total if we decided to replace the pipes.

Do NOT use D&F plumbing. I just had a quote for $600 to snake a drain in a utility sink. That is insane. I will never use D&F services again. I made the mistake of overlooking recent reviews about high pressure sales so you don't lose your $119 site visit fee and grossly inflated prices, and am contemplating collecting all of these reviews saying people experienced the same thing and filing a complaint with the state Attorney General for predatory business practices. D&F, if you're going to charge quadruple what other businesses charge, you need to tell customers up front before they agree to the $119 site visit fee, which I'll be contesting as well.

Journeyman plumber Frank Salvatore is excellent!He communicated exceptionally well; listened carefully to my description of the problem; presented a prioritized sequence of repair options; was clear about assessing them & comparing costs; extraordinarily skilled & creative in solving the problem.One couldn’t ask for a more attentive & friendly service provider able to resolve an emergency problem as quickly as possible. D & B plumbing is the only company I’ll ever use.

The HOA uses D&F and there was an emergency of a simple clogged non overflowing toilet on Christmas. A person was sent by HOA but my sister was Never told any prices. The plumber took 10 minutes to auger the toilet. The charge was a $90 dipatch fee but the total was $560 dollars. She was never told any figure by the technician. The company hung up on me when i tried to talk to them. They took advantage of a person with emotional issues. Unethical

I have used D & F Plumbing several times and am very pleased with their work, everything from a hose bib replacement, a new water heater, kitchen faucet replaced, and a bidet. They are very reliable, and reasonably priced. I would recommend them highly.

Asked the person on the phone what price to expect for replacing a faucet. Told them I couldn't afford more than $500 and was expecting more around $250. Wouldn't quote me on the phone and when the plumber showed up today, he quoted $750 and charged me $119 for the visit when I declined. Buyer beware.

Very quick and excellent service! My bathtub has never drained so well.

I called them for a service because our ceiling is leaking water from our bathroom upstairs. They charge $199. I’m told if they can’t fix the problem, they can patch it. It’s pricey compared to other companies, but I said ok. At least they can patch it. The technician named Ben came, told me there’s water leaking from the bathroom and it’s going to be $1400 to open the ceiling. So, what did $199 get me? Absolutely nothing. He just told me the problem that I already told them. This company is not trustworthy. Do not use them.

I referred this company to replace a 2” P-trap in a basement setting and set a new shower pan. The certified plumber assured me he knew how to set the shower pan and reinforce it on a cement basement flooring with mortar.See attached pictures of the work preformed. I’ve tried to call them and to correct the issue along with the homeowners. The Neo-Angle shower pan is 1/2” out of level and when we did a water test it backed up into the pan.

WARNING - RIP OFF!!! DO NOT USE!!!I called D&F plumbing to get a broken sink drain plug and toilet bowl that wasn't filling properly fixed in my condo. I explained in detail the issues and what fixtures were used and they said they were very familiar with my building.The plumber that showed up said he had never been in the building, looked at the issues for 5 minutes, and recommended replacing everything for over $1,000 which I declined. This felt very predatory and like they were trying to price gouge me.I immediately called another plumber and they came out immediately and fixed the drain plug and toilet in less than an hour for $170.D&F then charged my credit card for their service fee of $119, which I disputed with my credit card company and won since no services were performed.Fast forward 4 months later and D&F's AR team has been harassing me stating that they are going to send me to collections if I don't pay. Needless to say I don't want to ruin my credit so after being harassed and pressured I went ahead and called to pay.After giving the AR person my credit card number I was told that I was also going to be charged a penalty for making a dispute with my credit card company. Extremely predatory.I have submitted a complaint to the BBB and will update this review based on the outcome to protect people considering using D&F in the future.

I am not a novice to plumbing repairs. I own several properties for many years and have had everything from a simple leak in a shower to a main water line replaced. The amount that I paid for such little work is horrific. When I called, they stated that the job was harder than they initially thought, and told me it would cost me even more to have them come out and finish what I paid them to do, but would not credit me a dime in the work they haven’t actually done. It cost me $1037.50 for less than an hour of work total. (They came out twice, but even two trips fees + one hour work doesn’t add up to what I paid.)

Excellent and very fast service. Extremely courteous. Pretty expensive to unclog a drain (425 bucks) but I would still use them again.

Honestly I wish I didn't have to call a plumber to fix a clogged pipe - but all things considered I am very happy I called D&F Plumbing... It wasn't cheap, but the tech Jason was able to come same day, when he got here he took the time to root cause the problem. He was also friendly in explaining the problem and showing me what the best solution was. All in all, Jason did in 2 hours what would have taken me a day to even google search which equipment I really needed to rent (if I could rent it at all).So overall a bummer of a day, I had to call - but if I had any other plumbing issue D&F would be first on my list to call back.

W/E not a big deal. He looks everything over without saying a word to me, then starts writing and then shows me what he's quoted for the project which was over $600.00 to snake the toilet!! Thats absolutely nuts! I paid him the dispatch fee, and then he left. We are going with Mr. Rooter instead.

I had a leaking pipe under the house. After calling six other plumbers who did not return my call, I called D & F. I was grateful they could fit me in the same day. Ozzy, the tech, was on time. He was polite, friendly, and amazingly cheerful about having to crawl under the house, and work in four inches of water. The job was finished in less than an hour. I can sleep easy tonight. I had a terrible sleep last night, because I didn't think I could find someone to come the same day.

Only plumber that said they could see me same day after calling at least 6 companies. Came promptly, actually early. Wayne was very fast and friendly. Expensive, but I’m grateful they could come the day I called and get it done so quickly and done well.

I called 4 separate times for an emergency situation and waited all night for someone to get back to me. I had to call yet again the following morning to get through to anyone. Things were great until I got hit with a $600 bill to replace one plastic piece behind the toilet that took all of 5 minutes to replace. Seriously? How is that not price gouging?

I work for a general contractor in the Portland metro area. We do a lot of home repairs mainly dealing in dry rot. Every once in a while, a guy does hit a pipe with a nail in this case it happened. I googled around and found the D&F are other plumbing company that we us couldn’t make it out to us. Keith was so professional and on board with everything I was saying he was able to schedule Eric to come out. Eric did a awesome job. Got the repair done fast and quick so I can go back to work, Brad called later to check up on the the job just to make sure I was satisfied with the work. I told Brad I was very satisfied. I told him Keith had excellent customer service skills, and I’ve been in customer service since I started working at a young age. All three of these guys made a good team, executed the job in good timing and it was worth every penny. My boss was so impressed. He added them to our list of contractors to use from here on out I’m only using D&F good job guys you knocked it out of the park. I was impressed. My homeowner was impressed. Even the homeowner said if he needs plumbing done in the future he’s calling you guys. If I could give six stars , I would.

the worst service that I have experienced. I had an appointment with them on Wednesday from 8-10, so I need to take a day off. 10:30 I called them to ask why they still did not come yet. They told me that they will come in 1 hour. 2 hours later, I called a gain and they told that they will come on the next day. Cool. On the next day, they came. At first, they sent me an estimate that was $2130. I'm ok. After that, they told me that it's changed to $3123. I did not agree with that, they charged me $119 for taking a picture of my vent pipe. I was totally not satisfied with it and called customer service to refund me. They told me that they can not refund. Okay :/ What a nice company.

A great day to have him come so fast to save us from a clogged main drain. Water all over the basement and we couldn't fix it. Thanks for the quick repair.

Johnny was great, again, and now we have a new brass fitting so we can drain our water heater ourselves. He was on time, quick, thorough and fun to chat with. If we need any plumbing help in the future (hopefully we don't) we'll definitely use them again.

My gutter downspout was clogged in the pvc pipe about 2 feet off the ground next to the house. I had just had new gutters and downspouts installed about six months ago. Apparently someone stuffed part of a trash bag in there around that time. The bill was about $1500 for a three hour job which seemed a bit on the high side for cutting a pvc pipe, removal of the trash bag, repairing the pvc pipe and reconnecting the downspout.

Working with D&F Plumbing was a dream. I had recently tried to get a number of different plumbing companies to come out to Forest Grove, but nearly none would, and the ones who would were quoting us a wait time of 3 months. D&F made things happen quickly and efficiently.The plumber we worked with was named Warren. He was timely, professional, and answered all of my questions. He gave me practical tips for extending the life of our existing plumbing and showed me how a number of things worked around the house.The service we received was a combination of a shower repair and a toilet installation. Warren mapped out exactly what needed to be done and explained it all in great detail. He finished quickly, and our shower is better than it's ever been, as is our new toilet.I really appreciate that D&F does a full inspection of your house's plumbing, both inside and out. They give you a very good idea of which parts need the most maintenance. It also alerts you to potential catastrophes you might not even be aware of.Overall this was an amazing service, and we will definitely be using them for our next plumbing project or repair. I recommend you do the same.

High pressure sales, high prices and poor work quality. D&F charged $1,100+ to replace a 2 ft. PVC line and hose bib. The job took an hour to complete. Shutoff valve installed in a way that doesn't allow me to cleanly close off the crawl space. D&F recognized that I was desperate and took advantage of the situation. Stay Away!

No complaints about the tech sent. Professional, knowledgeable, quick. Disappointing that the company didn't do weekends so I had plugged plumbing for days. 5 stars for the tech. 41/2 stars for the company not having weekend service. Call them anyway. They are good.

Chris, our plumber, was awesome. He was friendly, knowledgeable and understanding. He did our job with no issue whatsoever (about 25 minutes), reviewed his work with me, and gave me guidance on some related questions. We were totally happy with Chris.I did, however, have a problem with the pricing structure of the company. Initially Chris plugged the details of my job into his system and it spit out a price of over $1200 to replace a temp control handle and a cartridge, both provided by us - that’s obviously an astronomical price for what we were asking to have done. Chris explained that they are a flat rate company, so they don’t charge by the hour like most. Ultimately he was able to make a phone call, and whoever he talked to allowed him to come down to about a third of the price as initially quoted.Would I hire D and F again? Maybe for a bigger job - they definitely seem to know what they’re doing from a plumbing standpoint. But for a simple fix, the flat rate pricing model felt almost predatory to me, given that I had to pay $120 just to get them to come out (the $120 then is applied to the price of the work when the work is approved). It would have been a shame to pay $120 just to say “no thanks” to a crazy price, and I definitely would have had a horrible taste in my mouth if I paid $1200 dollars for what turned out to be 25 minutes of actual working time using parts that I provided. As it stands I only have a slightly yucky taste in my mouth for the hoops we had to jump through to get the price to a somewhat reasonable place. That’s a crummy position to put your plumber in my view…So, save the small stuff for someone else and maybe hire D and F for the bigger jobs when the flat fee model might make more sense…

D & F saved the day today, after being abandoned with dripping pipes by another plumbing company for 2 days they came out and fix the issues I was having and then some. Dylan was amazing and really informative.Four stars only because the cost was a surprise but from an emergency standpoint manageable. This was my first time working with a flat rate plumbing service.Highly recommend for urgent/emergency jobs!

I have worked with D&F plumbing a few times now and every time they have been very professional, on time, and have provided great service. I have used their services to fix a toilet, help unclog a drain in my basement floor, and I'm going to use them to permit and add a toilet and sink to a big closet in my house so I can make it a bathroom. I have worked with Arce, who was really great at communicating and did a great job. I also spoke with Seth on the phone a few times, and he was awesome at talking me through the process and answered all of my questions. Will hire again for sure!

This company is so expensive, I can’t review their work because they quoted twice what another companies quoted for exact same small job, plus they charge $119 just to quote so lost $119 in a matter of 15 minutes, so frustrating! Tread carefully!

S& F Plumbing came right away to see the problem and make a bid. They patiently waited while we got our finances together. Then made the appointment in a timely manner and got the job done. Warren was very professional and the hot water heater not only works well but was brought up to code. Definitely recommend them! And will use them again in the future

Phil did a great job of repairing a leaking kitchen sink drain! He explained exactly what he was going to do and was upfront about cost for services.

Our garbage disposal decided to die on a Thursday night. I called D & F plumbing on Friday morning. They were here by 2 PM, and by 4 PM we had a new garbage disposal replaced, hooked up, installed and working. Highly recommend.

NO CALL - NO SHOW! They made an appointment with us to snake our pipe and replace under the sink pipes. The person who came seemed professional and courteous after coming for an after hours appointment. They gladly took our money and promised to try to get us in early as it was MLK weekend but there was no follow through. So disappointed in this local business.Three Mountains it is!Then the next day after the appointment that was missed for NO GIVEN REASON- they called trying to collect more money.

Late Thursday night we had every renters nightmare… A clogged toilet that was backing up into our bathtub. We tried every online hack to unclog the toilet and tub but finally gave up the battle. I called D&F plumbing at 6a Friday morning to schedule an emergency service appointment at 5. Not only did Arce (our hero) arrive early but was professional and kind during his inspection. He was clear and thorough when talking through the quote with possible outcomes. I was home alone and cautious about having an unfamiliar person in my home with me, despite this, Arce immediately made me feel respected (ran back to the truck to grab a mask once he saw me wearing one) and comfortable. To me, the prices are a little high but well worth it for the level of customer service and plumbing services.

Evan Brightman and Phil (last name?) did an excellent job. They were personable, knowledgeable, and very skillful in putting in the plumbing for the new bathroom in our basement. I felt like D&F's price was quite fair, and that the work could not have been done more professionally.

I needed an estimate and gave them a ton of information for my inner NE Portland house. They charge a $119 for estimates - I was reluctant, but okay I was in. But the kicker is that they needed a credit card on file before the estimate, I am not game and was out. I had to say that I was out. I spent about 20 min on the phone and they seemed very corporate. My issue isn't an emergency so I decided to not do terminate the appointment.

Scam. I called to get an estimate on price of replacing a sewer line. I was getting 3 estimates. They were the only company to charge a fee to come out to do a bid. I thought that the $119 fee was to pay for the actual work needed to do the bid. When he got here, I was informed that it would cost me another $400 to actually do the camera before they could do a bid. I refused the other companies did this without cost. At that point he left and I had absolutely nothing to show for it! When I called the company directly to complain, I was yelled at and talked over by a very rude man. Beware!

D&F's business model is a pure scam. The best thing you can say about them is that they will come at a specific time on short notice. It costs $99 for them to show up and quote a price between 4 times and 8 times what any other plumber in town charges to do the same work. Check this out: $800 to set a toilet (a half hour job), $500 to install a lavatory faucet and $609 to install a kitchen faucet. This is labor only. Unbelievable. And the tech said this was a their bulk discount price. What?Don't even bother with your PR response to this review unless you are ready to specifically address your OUTRAGEOUS pricing which in and of itself represents taking advantage of unsuspecting or vulnerable Portlanders.

Our water heater decided to bite the dust after 18 years of trouble-free service. It was installed by D&F then so we did not hesitate to call on them again. Just like before, amazing service all around. Thank you to Joe H for your work and taking the time to teach us the nuts & bolts of our new heater, and being so kind to my crazy old dog. 4th time calling them since buying a new house. 1st was to fix an amature install on a utility sink, 2nd to install a garbage disposal, 3rd emergency toilet disaster. Now a busted outside spigot feeding a hose and the sprinkler system.Each time they were fast, responsive and totally professional.

Warren was on time, knowledgeable, responsive to my needs, got the job done, and was very pleasant to be around as well.

They never did anything to find and fix the leaks They dug with a shovel 2 es 5 FYI trenches that were 12 in wide across the pipes and that is all they did all day Thursday. Marc was extremely knowledgeable and was able to locate and fix my dripping shower spout. He also gave me invite to why I’m having pressure and discoloration issues. When it’s time to repipe the house I will be calling D&F and requesting Marc to do the repair. Thank you very much!!

The plumber was very pleasant, clean, efficient. If I'd had the time to obtain bids for the work I needed between a few businesses, I might have paid less, but sometimes you get what you pay for and cheaper is not better in the long run. Overall, I'm happy with the services today.

Ben was great, appreciated his expertise and even though it was late and the clog wasn’t easy to sort out he got to it and took care of us. Left us with a good referral for a clean up crew afterwards.

I didn’t end up using the company as I felt they were over priced. The plumber was 3 hours early and was nice and professional. If money is no issue I’m sure they would be great to work with.But I was quoted $265 for a job that I ended up doing myself in 10 minutes. The plumber said it would take him about 20 min, he was honest and told me what the issue was and perhaps felt a bit sheepish to give me that steep quote.Not sure their hourly rate but my quote would have been $795 an hour. Plus a $119 call out fee, which they did say would be waived via a special offer if the plumber did the work that same day. I paid the call out charge and thanked the plumber for stopping by.

Dont do business with these people.. Very rude people. Called Tuesday morning for emergency call$199, called back 20 min later and cancelled, said they would adjust the charge to $119 appointment for Friday. This was never done , then they wanted to charge me $600 just to attach the washer hoses. He did nothing to investigate why the water was not shutting off, although I had it shut off myself after alot of work myself

I have a toilet that is not filling. The plumber who arrived immediately wanted to rebuild the inside of my toilet for over $500 and recommended changing out the lines for an additional $400 plus. The third option was changing out the Toto toilet for an American standard toilet for over $1100.I asked if he could first check and clean the fill valve as the instruction manual suggested. That didn’t work so he recommended replacing the fill valve for $419.99. I signed for that but the toilet still didn’t work.The toilet is filled through a cistern, which the plumber was not familiar with at all. He spoke with his supervisor and told me he was not even sure his company could help with a cistern pump replacement if that was what needed to happen. He also told me that the company, according yo his supervisor, would only charge me the assessment fee of $115 since they were not able to fix the problem.I called three times this week to get this resolved and spoke with a very rude manager who did his best to talk over me and tell me that the $419.99 charge stands because I signed for it. Do you think I would have signed for that much expecting no resolution of the problem? I am asking my visa company for help resolving this next. Beware of this company. Bad business practices all around on this job.

Our toilet was actively over flowing, the plumber that came to our house and didn’t go into the bathroom where the toilet was located. He then quoted us an outrageous number, saying they would be able to snake a different toilet, we asked if they had a way to empty the overflowing toilet and snake the toilet and he said that wasn’t possible. He told us he was just here to “give an estimate” and the dispatcher knew we had an urgent situation.I was then charged $214, the tech didn’t go in the bathroom. He only gave us a quote.Very frustrating and expensive experience.

Yikes. They quoted $2,700 to install a new water heater, or $750 to repair. Two local competitors quoted $1400 for new or $170 to repair. Proceed with caution and a big, open wallet.

I broke my kitchen facet on a Sunday. I called Sandy at D & F and she sent over Mike. Mike was well dressed in uniform and well spoken too. He explained the fix the process and the price very well. He gave me several options for repair and also recommendations for replacement. I choose to replace it with a part that was not on his truck. Since I had met him that day I left the door unlocked and went to work. I was great to be able to trust a contractor enough to do that. They got the job done and at a far price. Just the best! Had a plumbing problem at 12:30. Called D&F. Had a plumber at my place at 1:05 and was done by 3:30. And all that on a Friday afternoon. The plumber, Robert, was wearing a mask and gloves. And couldn't have been nicer. Never once did he suggest he couldn't get the work done that day. When he needed a part, he just went and got it. Also, when you call D&F (during normal business hours) you get a real person at their office. Not an answering service. Forget other plumbers in the Portland area. D&F are the only plumbers you'll ever need.

I don't typically write reviews but feel compelled in this instance. Here's a recap of my experience.I needed an (already paid for) garbage disposal installed, sink line flushed and a couple minor toilet parts replaced. When I called D&F to get pricing info, the receptionist declined to provide an hourly rate and said billing is by the job with no further guidance. He stated there would be a $119 visit fee which would be waived if I move forward with their services.I trusted the estimate to be provided by the plumber would be reasonable and scheduled a visit. The estimate came to $2.2k which is 2-3x what it should have cost. Unnecessary parts were quoted and apparently their hourly labor rate is $300. If I would have known this was their rate from my first call, I would not have requested a visit.The plumber was a very nice man but this experience left me wondering how much business this company generates from collecting $119 visit fees when customers are shocked by the quote. They should provide more transparent pricing upfront to avoid this. Would not recommend.

D&F has been the go-to plumbing company for my family since they began in 1927. That's 3 generations of us who've lived in NE Portland. First my grandfather, who had a business near to D&F in the 1920s, then my father, and now me. These people are reliable, and the technicians they send to a home are always people you can be comfortable with. When they do the work, you know it's been done correctly. Very happy they've now added heating and cooling to their repertoire. Most recent work they did for me was to get my AC back on speaking terms with me before some very hot days.

Phill was the consummate professional through the course of the work performed. He was prompt and very effectively communicated the scope of the job and the timelines for completion. He was very thorough and took extra care to mitigate any damage to my recent new landscaping.Was a pleasure to work with and feel your company has an extremely valuable asset in Phill.

Luckily, the phone was picked up upon the second ring and I was surprised as what a painless experience it was! The operator was very nice and assured me that Joe Hammers was going to be arriving the next day.Joe arrived on time and immediately seemed like a long time friend while also being very professional. I will be eagerly recommending his work to family, friends, neighbors, anyone who needs anything plumbing related done. Not only did he show me how to mantain the work he did, but also gave great advice for my next steps in home improvement. My super old house will eventually be neeing a full pipe re-do, and I'm almost looking forward to it because I already know exactly who to call for the project. :) Pricing is great, work was quick and he didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't want or need.Again, amazing work. We contacted D & F Plumbing the morning of Feb 27th in need of a drain cleaning for our pending home sale and let them know we were working with a pretty tight timeline to get this resolved to prevent the sale from falling through! To my surprise they had James S. onsite by 4:30pm the same day! If you've tried to hire plumbing you most likely are aware most companies are weeks in not a month + out!Our plumber James was awesome -- friendly, knowledgeable, happy to help, provided advice and talked us through what he was doing every step of the way! In most cases when you have to call a plumber it's typically a pretty stressful time but he made this as painless as possible and was so kind.Thank you D & F for painless and quick scheduling and a big shout out to James for his stellar customer service! Given my great experience I will certainly be calling them in the future for any needs!

Completely incompetent. Do not use this company. The service man did more harm than good. Now what should have been a simple repair will cost me far more to replace the parts he broke. Yet they still have the nerve to charge for a service call!

Steve quickly diagnosed my plumbing problem and offered me tiered fixes that meet my needs and my budget. I use D and F for plumbing services in all my home and rentals because I'm always impressed by their workmanship. Also, you can't go wrong keeping your dollars local and they're a family owned operation.

Called DF plumbing and they showed up literally the same day. Aaron was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. However while they did attempt to fix my plumbing issue the fix didn't correct the issue I had.

D&F came through as always. Warren was on time and professional. Explained multiple options for the repair. Answered all my questions before he left. D&F is the only plumbing company I call now.

If you're looking for plumbing, than stay away from this company. I was quoted $380 for the first 2 hrs of work and each additional hr at $180. This was an emergency after hours saturday (mid-day) and it was kind if hard to find someone. I would have kept calling around but I waited a couple hours for them to show up based on their quote, but when they got here. He came up with a 1600.00 cost. At this point, it was crucial to get the work done, which was literally 3 feet of running plastic pipe line from the base of the floor to the new shower valve he put in. ( No other cost, that was it!) It took him 2 hrs to do the work. I felt totally robbed and taken advantage of! I had no choice but to sign to agree to the charges because I was running out of time to do this. I called and talked to the manager and explained to him exactly what I was quoted on the phone and he even acknowledged the person was wrong. I pleaded and tried to get empathy for this charge so he could take off some of the amount maybe, but he simply didnt care and the first thing out of his mouth was; you signed a contract. Now, I own a business myself and that treatment and dis regard for a client is absolutely disgusting. If you have plumbing work, do not call this company if you have an emergency. Complete waste of time and a rip off! This is not a review for the worker. He was a great guy.

Had an emergency plumbing issue arise Sunday night. D & F Plumbing was able to get me on the schedule first thing the next morning on Monday. They arrived on time, were responsive to my needs, provided amazing quality of service, and helped me understand what the underlying issues that led up the the problems. I feel like D & F scammed me after charging me $119 to come and verify what I already told them over the phone. Refused to provide pricing up front and quoted me a ridiculous $600 to snake a shower drain. Went with Three Mountains Plumbing instead for the low price of $99.

Warren was very pleasant and totally competent.

We needed a vent pipe moved, the lines to the kitchen from the hot water tank and main line replaced and the drain moved about a foot. We called a number of places as it needed to be done quickly. D & F Plumbing said they had a plumber available on Monday to do the work. When Monday came, a man arrived and we reviewed what was needed. He was a pleasant and knowledgeable man which was appreciated. So i went back to work (at our home). About 30 minutes later he said he had everything ready and proceeded to give us the cost of the work. Turns out that he was only preparing an cost sheet, not doing the work. So now i have to push our contractor out a day plus pay about double for the plumbing. As we found another contractor who could do what was needed for half of D&L’s bid, we canceled. They then told me that i would need to pay $119 for the estimate. When i called them, I was quite clear what was needed and that I needed the work completed today. Had they done that, I would have gone ahead and paid for the plumbing to be done today. But to charge twice as much for a straight forward job (plus my cost for not having to put off the contractor) is unreasonable. I never asked for a bid and had I been told that that was what they would do, I would have moved on to find someone to do the work today. (They get two stars because the person who came out was knowledgeable.)

For a plumbing issue it was a good experience. The women that answered the phone was friendly and provided sympathy

David was amazing! Explained everything and worked hard to get the problem solved!

Joe was very professional through the whole process. He gave me an estimated before starting on the project. He was very considered of the space he worked in. We have hardwood floors, so he taped the work area with plastic, to protect the floor and walls. Joe worked quickly and knowledgeable to find the problem, and fixed it. He was very careful in removing the the plastic covering and all the garbage dry wall, he even went the extra step and wipes the whole area of the floor. Joe came in under the estimate, that was a very much appreciated. It was absolutely great working with Joe.

Plumber was quick, pleasant and efficient. He also helped us figure out a billing snafu.

We arrived home after being gone for 3.5 months. We turned the water back in the could gear water gushing in the crawl space. Da da. Here comes D&F Plumbing to the rescue that afternoon. Great job but extremely expensive.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They do not charge by the hour, they charge by the job. The replacement of my shower cartridge ($60 part at Home Depot which was not in their well stocked truck) should AT THE HIGH END cost no more than $400. They charged $750. I tried to contest the bill and they were inflexible about it. As far as I'm concerned they owe me $350. I will never use this company again. Also, I was on hold for 15 minutes before I gave up. I finally got through on the 3rd number I tried. We treat you like family is totally false advertising. They are out to gouge you with unreasonable prices. DON'T USE THEM.

Kurt was amazing and spent thoughtful time repairing our concern and explaining our options for the future. The entire team was very kind and prompt and will be my first choice moving forward.

I’m not sure what to list this as because what I call a pipe Robert referred to it as a stack...this work was done efficiently, unfortunately it was not the actual problem to the outdoor sewer line...being a single, fixed income person I could not afford the price quoted to continue with the repair and did not feel comfortable without another bid....and so I obtained another bid which was considerably lower, still expensive, so I will not continue with D&F to do the repair....Robert & Evan were very professional and kind and I appreciate the work they did and realize that these jobs are very time consuming and laborious...thank you...

Aaron did a terrific job replacing a burst pipe in our basement. He stayed busy the whole time, answered all my questions, and even did a couple extra bits while he was in there at no extra charge. Service was prompt and price was reasonable. I would hire him again.

Highly recommend choosing a different company to do business with for several reasons. To start, they will misinform you of what they will charge you. I called for a simple sewer scope to be done to cost $119, which is about average or a little high for the industry. We agreed on a date and window if time when a plumber would arrive. The day of service to be done they called and canceled and said they were all booked up. Rescheduled for the next day during a 2-hour block from 10-12pm. The company made no effort to call me to let me know they would be extremely late. I called them at 1130am was told plumber was finishing up a job and should be on his way shortly and said he should have called me by now. Advised of no calls made. This plumber did not arrive until after 1pm…again not even a phone call by the office or the plumber. The plumber walks up and has no idea why he is there. I advised him of the requested service and attempt to charge me over $450 for a job that would take about 15 minutes. I advised him that is certainly not what the office told me the charge would be. I called the office back and they tell me the charge is just to have a plumber drive to your house…nothing else. This company is clearly trying to take advantage of uninformed people. D&F plumbing is Awesome! I needed a plumber they made it happen! Where the other plumber company’s either didn’t call back and one canceled on me and the appt was less than 24 hrs old!! The plumber technicians Paul Sosa and David were also awesome!I would highly recommend them.

We had a leak coming from the bathroom upstairs. Jason came out on time and evaluated the problem. He explained what was needed to be done to fix the leak. He is very courteous and easy to talk to you. He answered all my questions. The leak was repaired. It is very hard to get a plumber to come out when you have a situation that needs immediate attention.and D&F came when they said. I would recommend D&F and use again.

Came for a quote. Quoted me a price I said thank you but its a little to high, and then the plumber turned around and said well I am going to have to charge you a service fee. They were supposed to come and give me a quote on Wednesday but got a call Tuesday saying they have an open slot and the plumber lives in the area. So I said sure they can stop by for the quote and then all hell broke loose.

The gentlemen came as scheduled and unplugged the drain. He was very good, and made sure things were cleaned up and running great before he left. I will call this company in the future for anything..

Unaware we were being charged $119 for a 3 minute consult. Price for job 3 times what we anticipated. Was told they charge $300-400/hour as their flat rate for a job. Way higher than any other gross estimate I’ve looked into. What a scam.

We are a non-profit community center in an old building with lots of plumbing and steam line issues. D&F Plumbing - and particularly Rob Dilday - have been super responsive to our issues and need for cost effective solutions.

I had them come out to quote installing plumbing for a toilet and a sink in our laundry room. Plumber was very nice and uniforms were sharp. The quote was $6000, which seemed high. I am a residential service electrician and estimator so I am very familiar with how estimating works. The plumber said it would take about a day, maybe a little more. I assumed it would take 2 plumbers. I reverse engineered their numbers and found them to be very very expensive, way more than I would charge for the same amount of time and approximate material cost. And electricians are about the same cost of plumbers. Second, the plumber asked us if we wanted the project permitted; that means he was willing to do the job without a permit and inspection, which would be illegal. Lastly, their terms and conditions (I read them all) are very very one sided. I am sure that as long as nothing goes wrong, it’s fine. But if anything goes wrong, the homeowner seems to take the vast majority of the risk, even if it’s their fault. So, read the entire estimate, and get 2nd and third opinions. I think I can find this same amount of work for $1500-2000 less.

We had a bathroom sink that quit delivering cold water. We had another plumbing company come out, and they told us we needed a new faucet. We replaced the faucet, but still no cold water. We called D & F Plumbing for a second opinion. Their customer service was fantastic, and set us up with an appointment right away. If I could give them a zero I would. After the inspection, I paid 1/2 down and did not rece8ve a detailed invoice as requested... only a summary. Within an hour of the service technician leaving, I had water all over my bathroom floor. The office lied about discussing it with the technician. I had to go the entire weekend mopping up water every few hours on my bathroom floor. When the serviceman arrived Monday morning the lies continued. He said he forgot a part and drove away. No work was completed, but I feel like I dodged a bullet. When I asked for a refund of my 1000, they still wanted to take out the 119 for the estimate! I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. Stay away from these shady operators!

The company did a great job just what I wanted done but with company issues. Bid came in high but they seemed more knowledgeable so I went with them. I will give them 5 stars on work done. However! They said I needed a back-flo valve installed but when the inspector showed up he said why you have them install that your on ground level and only need those in basements??? Plumber said I had to have that or inspector wouldn’t pass it.Bid was high for they said they may have to cut 3 different spots in the concrete. They cut one hole but a bid is a “BILL” not a bid. If they tell you it’s a 4 day job and get it done in one expect to pay for all 4 days. Now the inspector had to come back for they needed to add a blender valve so water temp is no higher than 120. No communication on when this takes place. Next communication was a email saying if you don’t pay balance due now we are taking you to collections. They did apologize and said we will install the blender and have an inspector come back. Job is done and we paid them in full but really wish I could have gave them a 5 star review on the work done.

Considering same-day service, distance traveled, and cost of labor that is still an EGREGIOUS overcharge. I honestly can't understand how they would ever get repeat business. I had no idea plumbers could be this expensive. I used their emergency services and I would have saved half the amount if I sent my renters to a hotel, paid for two days of meals and scheduled a plumber. The emergency plumber only had plastic available to replace a break in a copper line. Learned my lesson and will never do this again.Brad from D&F reached out to me and expressed concern about my experience. We agreed it would have been helpful if I had been given more information about how long it would take for the emergency plumber to get to our location so I could better weigh my options. D&F prefers the plastic pipe and I prefer copper, something that would have been better to resolve when I scheduled the appointment rather than four hours later when the plumber arrived. My learning is that I should have left site to get my equipment and replacement parts and taken four hours to sweat in new copper. The D&F plumber was professional and competent and Brad was concerned and helpful; so, having made the decision to contract for emergency services, D&F was five stars.

I was told for $119 I would get diagnosis for clearing a downspout drain. However, upon arrival I was given options ranging from $500 to $1000 to fix what it “could be” without knowing what the actual problem is. If you choose wrong, you are out the money, then they would charge another price for the next possible remedy to your issue. I ended up paying $119 for a guy that didn’t do anything but explain pricing for services. Did not receive a diagnosis.

Plumber shows up and after having gotten the job details over the phone from my husband, which consisted of connecting a 1 1/2 pex pipe in one location and nothing else, tells me the least he can charge me is $299 and then states if we don’t do it, it’s an automatic charge of $120 for just walking up to my door to tell me this. He also then tells me that this will take him no more then 30 mins and basically let’s me know it’s a pretty simple job but then also complains that he is probably going to get dirty since it’s raining and he has to work in the mud as if this justifies the ridiculous price. On top of that, this plumber tries to tell me he’s doing me a favor by only charging me this much and it could be a lot more. Found out today, we were charged more. $418 for less the 30 mins of work. I do not recommend this company if your looking for fair pricing and/or good customer service

The story begins with our water heater and pump effectively giving out causing the hot water to come out slow and not get as hot. Initially I would have given this review 1 star because the plumbers before Phil were not up to the task of this job. Communicating with the service desk is pretty responsive, but the real shining star is Phil who not only fixed the problem completely but did it in a way that made you understand that he truly cares about the customer and his work. Thanks tophil we have hot water, radiant heat and trust in d&f plumbing again.

Oh no! I went to make coffee in the morning and found my kitchen had turned into an insufferable swamp thanks to a ripped dishwater line leak. We turned off the water, notified our landlord, mopped up the mess and waited to hear when a plumber would arrive. When our landlord told us D&F Plumbing would arrive in a few short hours, I breathed a sigh of relief. I worked with them a lot in a previous job and have recommended them to friends, and I’ve never heard a bad word about their work. But this was the first time they were fixing something in my apartment.So how did it go? Amazingly. Matt Bloom showed up earlier than expected, priced the repairs to my landlord, and the problem was solved in slightly less than 30 minutes. He was masked (important in these COVID times), communicative, and the very definition of a professional. I already sang D&F’s praises to friends - now I’m thinking about purchasing a bullhorn and doing the same thing from my roof.

tl;dr -- Quoted me $700 for a 'simple, straightforward job.' No thanks!I called D&F on Monday to come out to fix a leak with our kitchen sink and to clear two drains in one of our bathrooms. They were able to have someone out to take a look on Friday. 1 star for the quick turnaround time.Ben showed up within the 1PM-4PM arrival window and was polite and professional. I showed him the kitchen sink and bathroom and he made it sound like it would be a piece of cake. 1 star for Ben being pleasant enough to work with.Then came the price estimates for the work. Good grief. They wanted $700 to snake two drains! That wasn't even pricing out potential work on the kitchen sink or including the $119 inspection service fee.I told Ben that felt like robbery to me and that I just couldn't pay it. He was really understanding about that. Hmm. He offered to call the office and see if they could get me a better price but I declined. It would still be hundreds of dollars cheaper for me to pay the $119 inspection fee and send him on his way and hire someone else. The last plumber I had out to clear a drain for us was able to do it for $93.So yeah. I guess I should thank D&F for teaching me a valuable lesson. I won't have anyone else out for any similar work without better understanding their pricing. Worst $119 I've ever spent.

The service was perfect the plumber arrived on time and spent approximately an hour and 20 minutes to install a faucet. I have no issue with the plumber. However, when I called to schedule the appointment I was warned about $119 that would be charged if the plumber did not install the faucet. However this would be waived if he went on to complete the job. This was a straightforward installation. I think I should’ve been worn that it was gonna cost $600 for the faucet to be installed. That was never mentioned only $119 . That works out to over $300 an hour!

Brandon from D&F came to our house to replace an outdoor hose spigot that had frozen and cracked over the winter. We had an emergency plumbing issue come up where the city had to come out. D & F Plumbing was recommended by a neighbor and I called immediately. They were able to send somebody out within a few hours and fix the problem with ease and for a very reasonable price, especially for an emergency. Laramie Harding was professional, thorough and made recommendations. He had all tools and supplies on hand and completed the job quickly and with much needed humor. We have used different plumbers throughout the years, but D & F Plumbing will be our first call next time. I would highly recommend them!

They quoted me $1400 to replace an exterior spigot, when another reputable and large plumbing company in the area quoted $400 for the same work. The D&F person quoting the work said the part alone was $900, despite the fact I explained I could get that part for less than $100 at a hardware store. He agreed that was true, but said their part prices are set by headquarters. I contacted D&F to ask why the quote was so high and to ask for a refund on the initial visit. I explained that if they had given me even a sense for the price, I would not have asked them to come quote the work. After a couple emails, they stopped returning my emails and calls.I will NEVER contact D&F Plumbing again.

This was to replace a water heater in my basement. My water heater was starting to leak, so, I decided to go ahead and replace it with a new one considering my old one was +20 years old. Robert Shock was the technician they sent. He was very good. Explained it all to me and gave me quotes on a tankless water heater too. He came over on a Wednesday and he replaced it the next Friday. So, all is good.I would use them again. It's not cheap, anymore, to replace these things but, I'm glad it's done with.Still recovering from price shock : ).

I am an owner of several multi-plex rental units. I called and spoke to Sandi about an issue I was having with one of my units, at that time we scheduled an appointment for service for the next day at 3pm. At about 3:40 my tenant called me and said they hadn't showed up. My tenant had called D & F directly to see when they would be there. My tenant said he spoke to Randy (who was extremely rude and unprofessional), and Randy and said he didn't have any record of an appt. that day and basically buzz off.I then called and spoke to Randy and tried to explain the conversation Sandi and I had the previous morning. Randy told me he didn't care to hear my story and that we don't have an appointment. I asked him to call Sandi (the owner) and see what they could do for me since they dropped the ball and I was certain Sandi would recall our conversation. Randy refused and continued to be rude and disrespectful. I told him that the reason I called them in the first place was that I had used them before at my previous employer. Randy told me that he didn't believe that I ever used them before (calling me a liar), so I offered to give the service address and he wouldn't even take it. Next Randy said he could send someone out that evening but he would charge me $199.00 to show up since I was making an emergency call. I told him I thought that was ridiculous since they dropped the ball and didn't show up, I asked him again to call Sandi and see if she was willing to charge the non-emergency fee of $99.00 since the original appt. was not after hours. Again he refused. Finally he told me that he was going to risk getting fired and not help me at all. He told me that he could tell that once his plumber showed up and told me the price that I would just send his plumber away anyways. Again, I am the owner of several mulit-plex units so money wasn't really an issue but I didn't appreciate being charged an emergency after hours fee when I actually had an appointment that they didn't show up to.Sandi was very nice and helpful, even though the appointment got screwed up. Randy was terrible and really should be fired. If I was the owner of this company I would never allow my employees to treat my customers that way. In this case it's especially harmful to D & F because my regular plumber just retired and I was looking for a long term plumber for all of my properties. I use plumbers on a very regular basis.

Wondeful people! Great service, they did the plumbing on my remodel and a new build. I still use them for clogged drains and other fixes. I wont use anyone else! They are the best!

When I called, I informed them that my crawlspace has water in it, so they knew that I'd need someone to look in there, but failed to inform me that it would be $500 ($538 with Washington tax) just to have someone enter the crawlspace. They know that when they send someone over, but you don't get informed until the plumber is about to go down there, so this is dishonest.I called and spoke to the person in charge while the plumber was still at my home. Very awkward situation. The supervisor was not nice and refused to reimburse the service call fee. So this plumber literally showed up, stood in front of my crawlspace, told me their fee just to enter it (which is about five times the service call fee) and somehow they feel you should pay for that. The crawlspace fee does not cover actually fixing anything, by the way, just going in and diagnosing.After the fellow stepped away from the crawlspace opening, he proceeded to walk through my home and try to find things needing fixing. The pricing on everything they quoted me is crazy high, too. ($1,000 to replace belts on two water heaters!)I ended up paying $119 for the plumber to come out, but since I wasn't willing to pay their crawlspace fee, nothing got fixed. I wouldn't have even paid that, but they refused to refund me when they took my money, did nothing, wasted my time, then the supervisor being rude on top of it all.They still have not offered to reimburse my $119. They could have one less bad review if they refunded me, but here we are.

This company scams you into a $119 fee. I requested a quote to tap into my line and install a valve so that I could then install a backflow for my irrigation system. The technician even mentioned it would take ‘a few hours’, but I was given a quote for over $3k. Their business is obviously built around scamming people out of the $119 by pricing themselves out of the work. And if someone takes the bait, they’ll happily collect the 300% markup. The $119 was not communicated well up front, and I was not given an option.

On June 15th My tile guy called dandf plumbing because we didn’t have our own plumber, our shower was torn down to studs, Joe came in and looked at our shower and told me it would cost $3580.00 to do the job of installing a rough in box and running a small amount if pex pipe, I was shocked at the price but was at their mercy since my shower was already torn up and the project couldn’t move forward until the plumbing was done so against my better judgement I agreed to have him do the job that day, Joe was at my house for about 7 hours, at the end I asked for a senior discount and he took $200.00 off the price, I ended up paying $3380.00, still way out of line, I feel I was taken advantage of considering the situation I was in, on 7/13 Evan came out and installed our shower fixtures, he spent 3 hours at our house, 10 hours total, that’s over $300.00 an hour, I have no complaints with the 2 plumbers, both were curious and professional, my issue is the price I was charged for the work and time spent doing the work with minimal parts on Dandf’s side, I called and tried to get a detailed bill from dandf and they refused to provide me a break down if the charges. I would like to speak wit someone in management regarding this

These guys are very expensive and aim to over charge. There is a $99 diagnostic fee... however, the first thing the guy did that came out was ensure I signed the repair estimate to replace a hose bib to fix an obvious leak behind my homes hardi-plank siding. That didn't fix it so the first thing is said is I don't know how much it'll cost now... ok sure. The guy goes into the crawl space and looks to find a broken pipe. Great, there's the diagnosis... but I've already initialed the $250 estimate that I have to pay for a $15 hose bib. Completely unethical.The repair cost then went up to $700 to do the repair which would not include drywall repair (of course). He then told me it would cost $2000 to run new pipe to two of my hose bibs if I wanted to do both... then it just went up from there, well maybe $1200 per bib he said, or maybe a 1000. How can it cost $700 now and over $1000 at another date?? None the less the written estimate was $2200 for re-piping both bibs. Garbage.I know I have old CPVC pipes so I inquired as to how much it would cost to re-pipe the entire house with PEX as I have some other major projects going on. To keep a long story short, I was told $9000. The once again written estimate comes in at $9500, which was later scratched out and said $9200. I asked how long the estimate was good for and he said 30 days but 60 days would be fine then went back and said, no 30 days but if it goes past that we'd just come out for the $99 fee which would be applied to the final bill.... yeah I saw how that worked out for me for NOT fixing my problem and up charging me within the first 10 minutes of this diagnostic. Garbage.I will never do business with these guys and can't recommend it. Extremely shady business practices though they claim to be so upfront with pricing.

I called D and F on Christmas Eve Eve and a very nice lady set me up with an appointment for Christmas Eve. We had a broken pipe in the outside wall of our home and had the water main turned off.Ben came out at 2:00 and promptly diagnosed the water leak which was up in the alcove of our breezeway by the garage. Luckily it caused no damage to to inside of our home. Ben was great, he was able to cut a hole in the ceiling of the cove and reach in and find the break. He was professionally yet kind and considerate of our stress level as this was on Christmas Eve. We were quoted at first a large sum 3-6,000 possibly but after he found the break the cost was lowered because it was easier to fix. Because it was on a holiday it was spendy, twice the price 2600$ but Ben worked quickly and the quality was perfect. Normally the cost would be lower but on a holiday it was more. We were so relieved that he could fix the pipe break so we were able to enjoy our holiday. I would call them again. Hopefully not on a holiday. BTW. D and F was the only company that would come out on the holiday. We called 5 companies. Thank you Thank you D and F and Ben.

Had a bit of a plumbing emergency when my sump pump stopped working. Rob showed up on time, explained options as he assessed, and got a new sump pump installed within a couple of hours. He was responsive, friendly and did the job right.

I am very pleased with my experience. I had a broken pipe and was very stressed. Amy and Hannah were very helpful and understanding while making my appointment. My tech Randy Sosa was very professional and patient….answering all of my questions and offering re-piping options. I will use D and F Plumbing again.

Called D & F after noticing black specs in hot water. The plumber arrived quickly and replaced the hot water heater. However, the black specs remained in our hot water for 6 days. Then D & F sent a 2 nd plumber, Robert Shock, to see why the water wasn't clear. Robert flushed the pipes and cleared the specs. Robert was VERY helpful and explained the process and solved the issue. This should have been done on the initial visit by the first plumber. We were happy with Robert but disappointed with the time wasted.Note: We were shocked how high their price was for an install. Twice as much as George Morlan. After multiple chats with the owner, we agreed on a small discount. (Next time I will call George Morlan because they do the same work for a much more reasonable price).

Had a leak from pipes in the kitchen and we couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. Called 2 plumbing companies, one was booked through next week and the other still hasn’t called back. I lucked out because D&F was next on the listWhoever answered was polite and extremely efficient. She found a same day appointment and by three o’clock that afternoon Joel appeared.Joel was polite and got right to work determining what the problem was, how he was going to fix it and the cost involved. I signed off on the estimate and he got down to work. Joel was quick to discover the issue and worked on fixing it.When Joel was done he gave advice on how to avoid having the same problem in the future and he answered some random plumbing questions threat had been bouncing around in my head.This was my first experience with hiring a plumber and I really lucked out with D&F and Joel. Randy was at my place today (June 4) to replace a valve in my kitchen. He was great to work with, punctual to the point and super careful with our brittle pipes. He came on a very short notice and while D & F is expensive, you know what you sign up for with your very first call. They explain in detail how their cost structure work and if you don't want high quality work then don't sign up for it. I will call on them again without hesitation. And Randy is my hero right now.

I had a plugged drain in the bathroom and a leak in the kitchen sink. I called D & F Plumbing and one of their plumbers just left.I am beyond happy with the service, price and professionalism. He took the time to tell me what was wrong, gave me an estimate and fixed all my problems in record time. He then showed me how to check the drains myself and how to clear them. They company gave me a bid of $119 to come out and find the source of a leak in my bathroom. When the plumber showed up her told me it would actually be $400+ simply to find the source of the leak. The $400 wasnt' to replace anytihng. Con artists is all I can say. Bait and Swtich. Fraud. If you are on the fence with this company do not use them. Now they are threatening collections becuase of thier unethical behavior. Could not be more irritated.

They lost my business. $60 part and charged $560 overall. And they didn't fix the problem. Called them to talk to a manager on Tuesday, didn't get a call back till Friday. I suggest Stan The Hot Water Man. Don't waste your time with this company.

Water heater died before Christmas. Scheduled an appt as early as I could which was a week and a half out. Scheduled an afternoon appt so I was going to leave work early. Got a call at 10am saying the tech was on his way. Then got a text 20 minutes later saying I have to reschedule for Thursday. I've been without hot water for the coldest 2 weeks of the year. How is this ok?

I recently contacted D&F to get some work replacing all of the old galvanized pipes in my house. I've tried to get several things done with the house over the past year and it's been a real pain trying to get anything done in a reasonable time or without having to constantly reach out and follow up to have people follow through.D&F was able to send Trevor out the very next day for an estimate and he began work the following day. He was able to get the whole job done in two days and made everything as painless as possible. Once the work was done he went above and beyond and fixed a slew of other minor issues to make sure all of my faucets, toilet, and shower head were working great. I grabbed his contact card and will be using him for any future plumbing work I may need. Would definitely recommend.

I was really thrown by sticker shock. Joe was a very professional representative of the company. And his work was done quickly and with a high quality.. But the cost for a simple faucet installation was a blow. We will do some checking around should the need for a plumber arrive again.

WORST COMPANY EVER! After multiple calls and working into thousands of dollars for a toilet repair only to find the toilet isn't fixable. I had been told there would be a discount but only received a $1200 bill. I requested an itemized invoice for multiple reasons; verify parts ( ~$200), to show the discount applied, for HOA needs (condo), homeowners insurance and as a legal requirement to disclose to future buyers. Simple request. Instead, after 2 months of trying to get a reply, their owner was horribly rude and refused to acknowledge my request. Here is an example of what kind of response you will get with this company:Randy said he would check to make sure you were given the discounted rates we give CMI.. and you were. Scott did tell you we would not charge for Matt's overtime call, which should not have been done, but was, so you were not charged for Matt's time. We definitely had a laborer during the job, which encompasses any parts delivery and/or clean up etc. This invoice is correct, however in order to get this resolved I will offer you another $200.00 off of this invoice which means: Any of the $100.00 profit I MAY have made off this job is gone and I am paying OUT OF MY POCKET the balance to cover any labor charges!! . You have already received more discounts than should have been given and basically at this point I am paying to work for you, which is not how business works!! This is the last adjustment I am willing to make and will be good only for the next 24 hours. I feel this is beyond reasonable and would look to conclude our business together once this is paid in full. Thank you.SandiFor the record, the initial quote for toilet repair was for $1200. No adjustment had been made prior. I never asked for an adjustment. I asked for an itemized invoice.

Buenaventura was very professional and skillful to unplug a downspout drain. I appreciated his prompt arrival.Making the appointment was the biggest negative. The office needs to straighten out their procedures. For example, I called on March 2nd, the email confirmation I received for the appointment was for March 1st, not March 3rd.

We have used D&F for the past few years. We have found them to be knowledgeable, efficient, and customer service-oriented. Our repair today involved a leak at a shower head, which required turning off water to the house, pulling apart the fixture, replacing it while he obtained new parts, and then installing them. By company policy, evidently, he offered two alternative approaches that involved considerably more expensive replacements for the entire fixture; this surprised me and seemed unnecessary. Before leaving, he inspected all plumbing in the house and identified a few things to monitor. From arrival to departure, the job took something under three hours. The cost of $850 struck us as high, although that's not atypical from what we're experiencing with other repairs during the pandemic. Less expensive plumbers might be available, but over the past 20 years we have worked with three different companies, and D&F technicians have consistently provided the best service.

I contacted D&F because of water in our crawlspace. They responded the same day and had someone out on the following day to determine if there was a water or sewer leak, using sonar equipment. There was none and they provided a sump pump installation estimate. There were discounts for a first customer and a senior citizen. The next day, the pump was installed and successfully tested. Now, with rain pouring outside my hillside home, I am relieved that any groundwater will be managed by my new pump. Phil and Javy, the installers, were professional, courteous, and efficient. The bid was far below one obtained from a rival company. So...for timeliness, quality, and value, D&F is A-1 in my opinion.

tl;dr undisclosed $300/hour traveling fee after hours is ridiculous.We had a plumbing emergency. When we called they told us that because it was around the holidays and after hours, there would be a $300 dispatch fee which would go towards services rendered. When the plumber finally showed up, he quoted the entire project would cost $850.We asked for an itemized breakdown, which he was reluctant to give. $300 was from the dispatch, then there was a travel fee. He told us he's not supposed to tell us how much they charged, but finally told us that they charge $300 AN HOUR FOR TRAVEL TIME. Then the added $250 was for parts and labor. None of this was disclosed to us (especially the $300/hour travel fee) and we would not have called them out if they would have been upfront. We told him these were not the terms we agreed to and refused to do work with their company.When we called them the next day to say that these fees were not properly disclosed, the woman on the phone laughed at us and called us liars multiple times. We had someone come out and do the same job the next day for $150. Do NOT do business with this company.

The cartridge in my shower faucet failed and left me without running water to my tub/shower. D&F was able to get someone out within 48 hours (this was by far the fastest any plumbing company could schedule a technician ). Phil, the technician, was prompt, courteous, resourceful and extremely knowledgeable. He explained the possible causes and the repairs, and presented me with estimates for all possible scenarios. Luckily, the repair was the simpler, more cost-effective of the scenarios, but it still caused me some sticker shock. But, the work needed to be done, and Phil took care of it quickly and made sure everything was working correctly.

When you have an emergency, you need to feel like you will receive excellent service, as you are paying a premium. Especially on a Sunday. Sounded like this was a very busy day for Ozzy, our plumber. Upon arrival, he put us at ease with the questions he was asking and what he wanted to see, showing his knowledge. I appreciate knowing I can find a Union Contractor available even for emergencies.After checking a few things, he came to us with the service we could do and the one he recommended. We went with recommended, which was drain snake and camera work. This would tell us exactly what the problem was and if or where there was a major failure.Turns out, we had a major clog at a questionable fitting on the old side of an addition where the newer ABS pipe meets old Cast Iron.He was able to free up the current blockage and get us back to using toilets, showers and all the other places in the house that have/use water. After 2 days of trying not to flush, not being able to do dishes or laundry, plus an emergency septic pump out earlier in the day that did not fix the issue, Ozzy was our savior.The camera work cost more, but we know for sure about what needs to be fixed, which we can do on a non-emergency basis. We now have peace of mind for what is going on under our home, and have a plan of attack, while fixing the immediate problem that was about to send us to a hotel.I could not be happier with the service, communication from both Ozzy and the office, and the fact that we were able to shower tonight. I look forward to working with D&F Plumbing on future repairs, and hope they can send Ozzy.

Just completed a project with D & F, repiping portions of our 100 year old house. Tina and Brittany in the office did a great job of helping coordinate our schedule with their plumbers. They were friendly and helpful. The plumber, Joe, helped evaluate the job and made a number of suggestions to try instead of completely tearing the house apart to get better water pressure. He was friendly, professional and cleaned up after his work completely. We plan to use D & F again for another job that wasn't in our original scope.

I had a leaking and slow draining kitchen sink. D@F were here in a couple of hours. My technician was great!

The guy came out and I guess he tried to find any underground leaks and to look for my shut off valve. I had a doctors appt that morning and couldn't be there when he was done. I never got a report on his findings and I have called the company 7 (SEVEN) times to get said report and as if today- Aug 22nd. Still no report.To say the least, I am not a very happy customer at this time

D&F’s plumber, Joe, was on-time for our 8am service call. Joe was very courteous and respectful. Joe replaced our Insta-Hot at our kitchen sink. Would highly recommend D&F plumbing and Joe. Very professional. Quality service.

The entire process for this after-hours work was painless. Our drains suddenly stopped working at 4:30. D&F dispatched Phil Deuel, who arrived 30 minutes earlier than the estimated time. 2/7/2023 Vancouver WA. While making appointment for 2/8/2023 for leak detection in front yard I was told that it raining outside would not cause a problem to locate leak in front yard. I was told they will send their best plumber with the absolute best leak detection equipment. They called the day of appointment to change it from a late afternoon to an early morning appointment. After waiting 5 hours I called them and they said they’d be there by the end of the day. The tech showed up 2 more hours later (Brett was very nice) but after putting his equipment (a prob/listening device; no other equipment was used) into the ground he said it’s raining and there is road noise so he can’t locate where the leak is in the front yard. Then gave me an estimate of $9,000.00 to replace the main water line from the street to the house. Approx 50ft. And said; but he’s not sure if that will fix the leak but it’s the best place to start. Then gave a referral to another leak detection company. Said he spoke to his boss/manager and he said to call about a reduced charge.I called to talk to his manager who said there’s nothing he can do but offer me 50% off for a second visit charge to come out again try to locate the leak. Why would I pay you a second time for a job you couldn’t do the first time?? I was charged $550 from them to tell me it’s raining outside and that’s not their problem. Oh well!I want to point out that Keith at the office was very friendly and tried to be helpful but his boss wouldn’t even take my call or call me back.I would think twice before giving this company a call or your money to tell you they can’t find the problem because of rain and cars driving by and give you a very over priced quote to not know if it will fix the problem. Not a company I would recommend for leak detection.Absolutely the worse experience I have ever experienced by any company!!update as of 2/13/2023 They called and offered a 50% refund for their initial visit. That's better then nothing.

I'm posting to hopefully prevent others from getting scammed by D&F Plumbing. My house had a leak on a Saturday that was causing property damage. To their credit, D&F did show up that day after a $200 fee was agreed to. Once on-site, I was quoted $1600 to fix a leaky valve. That is an insanely high price, but it was causing property damage, so I had few options at this point. It was agreed to with the plumber that the $1600 was the total price for the day, which included the initial fee. I was then billed $1800 ($1600 + $200). I called the Contractor to resolve, but they told me the $200 was already paid for before they showed up, so they were not lying when they said $1600 was the total for the day. The repair does appear to be working, but I recommend finding a different plumber.

Read this before hiring them!Our old garbage disposal broke and the handful of other plumbers that I called only had appointments two weeks out. So I called D &F, and they had an appointment the next day!Later on the same day I called, Steve, their plumber came to our house - he was a day early, but I was excited to have the work done. He quoted us a large amount for the work, but to be honest I hadn't done my research, and with covid floating around I felt weird asking him to leave. So he did the work well and quickly.When I called their manager the next day to try and have our bill explained (because how can an hour of work plus a 150$ part cost so much?) The manager wasn't able to explain or share a breakdown of the cost.TL;DR: do your research ahead of time and be ready to ask them to leave if they quote you something astronomical.

Flying out to one of our project to deal with a huge plumbing issue. Whoever I called kept saying it's a $119 fee to meet us on site, then he put me on hold and said sounds like it will be $500 fee. I told him I will be there for 3-hours and I'm only meeting with one company I'd be happy to pay the fee but we are a commercial company and need to set them up as a vendor and such. That didn't work for him, so I guess it won't work for me. I asked to speak with someone actually in commercial plumbing, and he said I was talking to the right guy. If that was the right guy, I can't imagine what talking to the 'wrong' guy would have been like.

I've had nothing but great experiences with D&F. They are fast and friendly and do high quality work. I've tried several different plumbers in town, and D&F is by far my favorite!

D & F way over charged me for the same work my neighbor got. It wasnt until I asked why the difference, that they were willing to not just try and get more money out of her like the office person told the technician at my home, but finally charged me what they charged my neighbor for the exact same work. I do not reccomend this company their pricing is arbitrary and their managers are unprofessional leaving their hard working technicians in the field holding the bag looking like jerks because they are trying to have conversations where they are being reprimanded for not gouging the customer.Bad news dudes.

I called to get a dishwasher installed. They refused to give me an estimate over the phone.When the tech arrived, he was very nice and professional, however he then told me it would cost $750 to install and remove the old one. This is over $300 more than another estimate I received and almost the cost of the dishwasher itself, which is ridiculous.I told the nice tech we could not pay this and would go with the other company, which he understood, but the company then charged me a $120 dollar dispatch fee that I was not told about beforehand.Overall very shady and expensive company. Would NOT recommend at all.

This was the biggest rip off ever. Charged $567.00 to swap out a $50 faucet that was available upon arrival and the exact same as the old one. The plumber was out of there in less than 45 minutes. I still can't believe the price they charged for such a quick and simple job.

I had a simple leaky pipe situation but it took me weeks to find a plumber, as I would leave messages and no one would ever even call me back to say that they were too busy to do the job. I found D&F through Next Door and when I called someone actually picked up the phone (!), and offered to make the appointment the next day. They were super professional and organized, and the plumber they sent (Matt) was friendly, helpful, and did a great job - even took extra time at the end to tidy up really well (the leak had caused a little rust stain on the floor and he scrubbed it up). The price was about what I expected it to be, and was reasonable. I will definitely use them again.

I was charged $405 for an hour of labor to repair my kitchen sink. The only part needed for the repair was one that I provided. Though the person doing the work was cordial and professional, it was an outrageous amount for the work provided.

We've been using D & F Plumbing for several years and have always been pleased with the service we receive. They are quick to get us scheduled and Jesse does a fantastic job every time.

Out of three companies, we selected D&F because they promised to be there when they said and to complete the job the same day. Frankie arrived as expected and went right to work after providing a quote that was agreeable to my wife and I. The work was a leak at the meter that the city was not responsible for. Frankie without delay was able to restore service to the house and kept to the agreed upon quote without making a big mess or any work around. Frankie's great attitude and professional skill got us back in water to the house. He answered every question and evaluated the house systems prior to leaving.

Jason is the MAN! We hired for an install of our washer/dryer to be placed in our garage. He did a beautiful, clean job of water hook up and proper venting for both washer and dryer. They even moved our machines from our third story all the way down to our garage as part of the price agreement. My husband and I have several projects ahead of us, and we want Jason for all of them! Professional, on time, clean and tidy, easy to schedule and get the work done when WE need it done! SO IMPRESSED!!!!!! We called several plumbers and they either canceled their appointments on us, didn't even show up, were hard to get a hold of, or over estimated the price. D & F made it....so easy! You guys are the BEST!

Plumber lied and tried to add another 650.00 on top of the 250.00 for a detailed insurance report. I checked with my insurance company and they stated they only need an invoice . I felt he was taking advantage of me. The customer service lady that answered the phone was great but could not give a good score to the company for what the plumber tried to pull. Very upset people do this to older people in need of help and His dishonesty. Don’t trust this company.

Robert was terrific! Was on time, solved our problem and gave us good advice as to how to prevent the problem from reoccurring.However, we were shocked by the charge of $680.00 for a simple kitchen snaking! This alone would dissuade us from calling D+F for major plumbing projects planned for later this summer. Scary!

Do not use this company! They are scammers and will take advantage of your plumbing woes not to mention they are very rude.My client and I were very clear when we made the appointment with them, which they couldn’t get the time right to save their life, where prior issues required attention - namely under the home. They stated to come out and inspect it would cost $119.ON THE PLUMBERS WAY OUT TO THE HOUSE he called my client stating that in addition to the $119 inspection/quote, D&F would charge $499 for looking at the pipes under the home. This was not disclosed at the time when we made the appointment. I'd like emphasis this was IN ADDITION to the $119 and it was stated that if work commenced, the $119 would count towards that work, but not the $499.The plumber did not inspect the pipes. He literally walked around the house with an iPad taking pictures and he called it a “Visual inspection” not to mention he didn’t touch ONE plumbing fixture in the house and had a major attitude. He did not look under the home or run water, check leaks, give a report, assessment or quote. He was rude and derogatory after having not accomplished any portion of the task they were scheduled for at which point I asked him to leave, he had been at the property approximately 11 mins when I asked him to please leave.After leaving several messages to have a manager call me regarding this no one has returned any of my phone calls meanwhile they charged my client which we are disputing.I’ve worked with 100’s of plumbers and a visual inspection includes touching, looking, testing, running water, and checking for leaks NOT walking around the house only taking pictures with an iPad, I can do that. What we needed was a plumber. They are not here to help people with their plumbing needs. Save yourself a headache, time and money and don’t hire D&F!

Do not use this company! We had a pipe break leaving us with no water for our whole house and needed a plumber ASAP. Most plumbers were booked for new construction. D and F said they could get out in 10-12 hrs and required a credit card. I received a callback from another plumber that could get out 8 hrs earlier and called back to cancel and D and F would not refund a $199 dispatch fee even though it was still 8 hrs before they were going to be here. I have asked for copies of this policy twice and they still have not provided it to me. A real plumber fixed the leak for $75 more than their stupid dispatch fee

The first time I called should have given me a clue not to proceed, as the person who answered did not even act like he worked there, just annoyed that he had to answer the phone. But having not found a plumber during the next week or so, I called them back and this time the office person sounded very knowledgeable and seemed to be saying yes to my questions. In the end, however, they were extremely expensive for a simple kitchen sink clog that took exactly 5 minutes (or less) to unclog. The bill was $160.00 and that was supposed to include a senior discount, but the bill did not show the discount clearly. I called the office to see if I did in fact receive a discount because it did not show on bill. Anyway receptionist could not answer that question so I left a voice mail with the billing office. They have not called back. Anyway I would not use them again because of the price and the attitude I received from a couple different employees. They could not give me an estimate to begin with (I called others and got est. for $88, $99, $125 if no other problem. Thinking D&F cost would be about the same I went with them and got a ridiculous bill for $160 (and was told by plumber that included the discount which did not show on bill)???? Next time I will not call D&F for certain.

The plumber they sent over was very professional and did a great job explaining everything. The problem for me was the price. After a breakdown of services it was 325 dollars an hour for minor repair with the walls open already. Thats way more than I would be willing to pay. I will not be calling this company again

Joe H. was a delight to have working on our plumbing to remove a clog between the street and our basement. He spent five hours trying different things on a very persistent and hard to remove clog. He went out and got more equipment and returned. Above all, Joe's can-do attitude is exactly what made this experience a very good one, when it could have been very bad. He kept saying WE WILL GET THIS DONE! with a smile, never frustrated, just tenacious. And believe me, it is very easy to find a sour-attitude plumber. Not Joe, though! Frank was professional and on time, he reviewed the situation, explained to me the problem, and was clear about the possibly scenarios to resolve. Thankfully he was able to perform the less invasive of the fix of the options by working with the existing pipe and successfully fit the existing toilet with a new seal back to the flange. Friendly and easy to talk with.

We just needed maintenance and check up in our drainage and pee-traps.

Johnny Walker an D&F were willing to work with us making a toilet replacement a two step process. First the old one had to be removed so I could replace and paint damaged drywall that was behind. Johnny then came back and installed the new toilet. His professionalism and quality of work are very impressive.

I called D&F plumbing to ask for help with installing a new sink. Frankie, the technician came out the next day. He took some pictures of the sink and then went sat in his truck for a while. He then came back and told me that they don't do undermount sink installation. They only do plumbing related to the sink. I told Frankie that I wish they were honest at the start so we didn't have to waste our time. Frankie also agreed with me that the service call should not be charged. It's clearly a miscommunication. A few days later they did go ahead and charged me $119 for the service call. I called them back and asked to speak with their manager. Kevin, the manager came on the phone. Instead of trying to remedy the miscommunication, he was justifying the charge due to the technicalities of my request. The fee charged is not a huge issue for me. It's the dishonesty and lack of integrity that this business demonstrates that's concerning. There are a lot of good honest companies out there that will try their best to earn your business. Too bad D&F plumbing is not one of them.

A few scheduling issues and delays, but when their plumber showed up it was first class service all the way. He explained things clearly, worked cleanly, and left with a very satisfied customer.

Hired this company to give us a quote on a home we were thinking of purchasing that we were told needed a re-pipe by another plumber. Told them REPEATEDLY not to discuss the repair or scope of work with the seller and they acknowledged. They also told us we would not be charged for the inspection if we used them for the work. The feedback from the home seller was the plumber discussed the entire job with them and told him the pipes weren’t “that bad” And might not need an entire repipe. Yet, when the plumber sent us an invoice it included an entire re-pipe that was $10k over our other quote and no other “cheaper” or less invasive options. The seller didn’t believe us and didn’t want to negotiate a portion of the work because of what the plumber told him. On top of all of that they immediately charged us for the quote on my card on file. When I called them to discuss my frustration the response was “well, we gave you a discount on the quote and didn’t charge you full price for it.” Very frustrating, I would not use this company for anything. They cost more and can’t seem to follow simple instructions or provide quality customer service and try to remedy the situation.

We had used these plumbers once before to fix unclog a drain pipe in our basement as we own an old house with galvanized small pipes. We had the issue arise with our tenants one year later so we called them again since they are done so well the first time but this time was way different! The tech didn’t test that it was actually working and it’s cost wayyyyy to much!! So not only did we pay a ton of money but nothing was actually changed and they didn’t even acknowledge the clogged toilet that we called them about aswell. So now on the other end of the service we are dealing with the customer support team…my nine month pregnant wife we left ok hold for 45mins before the phone clicked off when she called back to get reconnected with the guy that she spent more than an hour dealing with the lady said “oh he actually went home for the day 30mins ago”.Overall, absolutely terrible and I would never recommend this company to anyone!!

They charged $500 just to book the appointment because it was an emergency but it still took 8 hours for the plumber to get there. It was another $385 when he showed up even though the issue turned out to be just a loose pipe and clogged garbage disposal. The plumber did a decent job but I do not recommend this company and will never use them again.

So in the beginning said plumber was very informative which I appreciate, however I had just had hip surgery so I couldn’t really stand there to talk details as I live in an apartment community. The plumber ( I was never given his name nor did he introduce himself) fixed some of the issues but according to my son the water isn’t hot it’s Lukewarm on the hottest setting. So, I leave my house to go run an errand to come back after he had left to see that he had used my personal 450.00 dyson vacuum cleaner to clean up after he had cut the sheet rock which left the wall droppings on the ground and now all in my vacuum. I then call the office to complain about said plumber and Kevin is the manager I spoke with. He said (and yes it’s on the recorded phone conversation the previous day) that he was going to send someone to my house in the AM to pick up my vacuum and clean it. I never heard from anyone, never got a call so after 12:30 I decided to give them a call and that’s when Kevin went off on me after I confronted him. Let me tell you I have never been treated so poorly by a business. I will never allow this company back in my home. They also left holes in my sheet rock and left it that way.

Great job by Jason our plumber. He not only fixed it but cleaned up everything and was very professional about the job. Plus, he was very kind to our rowdy pugs. We will definitely be using D&F again and will be requesting Jason.

I paid $100 and still have a leaky faucet and leaky shower. I was given lots of professional advice that was useless or common sense. The plumber obviously did not intend on doing any work; he parked in the street with his hazards flashing and blocking traffic for the visit. I have never been more unhappy with a service call.

The dispatched worker was professional, considerate, clean and did the job well. Unfortunately they charge $120 for dispatch and assessment (which is fair), then they show you the proposed invoice, which for snaking a kitchen drain was $500 (with the 120 waved). At that point you're stuck because you'll have to pay the dispatch fee and call someone else. It's hard to feel this is fair pricing for 1 hour of work + travel, and no need for additional parts. No criticism of the excellent plumber who was here, but the company pricing is exceptionally high.

We thought the whole crew, Phill and including Justin as lead on the work were all fabulous. Justin's crew were very friendly helpful and polite.

I was very excited with how quickly they were able to get me set up with an appointment. Unfortunately when it became time for them to show up they didn’t show up or call. They said they tried to reach me but my phone never rang and I was able to text them via their texting service. I also tried to call them 2 times during the no show and no one picked up.I can’t comment on the quality of the work but I wouldn’t recommend them.

Very mixed experience here. It started off well with the service technician (JOE) showing up and discussing the issue. I explained the problems we had been having, provide him a map of what I had discovered for the waste lines and pointed out where i believed the clog to be originating from. I had taken half a day off of work to be there and help with the process, pulled our toilet for access etc etc. After a couple hours he had broke loose the clog and water started running again. However, the clog had been clearing itself previously and then backing up again which is why the video scoping was the most important part for us. Joe tried several times to get his camera through the pipe but was unsuccessful. He suggested another technician come out later that week with a smaller camera which we agreed to rather than having Joe go under the house to access the clean out. I was told the dispatcher would CALL ME AND SET UP AN APPOINTMENT. Great experience up to this point. The next day I get a phone call in the afternoon from dispatch telling me that the technician was 10 minutes away from arriving. When I explained that nobody had given us a call to set this up and that I at least needed to call my wife to make sure she was even home the dispatch lady was very rude and impatient. She didn't even let me finish suggesting I call my wife to confirm she was there and just HUNG UP THE PHONE while I was talking. I was astonished at the lack of professionalism here. This is basic communication and what should be the simplest of customer service. So I called my wife and she was happened to be there and the new technician showed up with a smaller camera but was still not able to get through the pipe. Less than a week later our laundry room flooded again due to the same area of the clog. I called back the next day to see if someone would be in the area to swing by one last time and I WOULD CRAWL under the house and help guide the camera through the clean out (from an outside vent - a completely straight shot to the clog area that would have taken less than 10 minutes to get the camera to where it needed to be). I was told I would have to pay again for a service call to discuss what would need to happen to remedy the situation. They would not even entertain the fact that I did not receive what I had already paid for - clear the clog and provide video of the section of pipe to verify. Even when I was willing to work with them to make it as time efficient and easy as possible.Technician service was great - especially with Joe.Experience with dispatch - absolute garbage after being hung up on.Quality of work - I would say great - if it was followed up onFollow through and guarantee of results - I wasted my money. Paid $400 and did not receive the stated services that were agreed upon.

My parents have done business with D & F Plumbing for over 50 years. First we resided in the neighborhood on Humboldt and moved away when I turned 12 and continued using their services. When I got my own home I to used them needless to say had I not seen my parents as satisfied customers I wouldn't have bothered. As Igrew in my position in the workforce we also used D & F Plumbing and believe you me,the first job they tackled for us was no small feat it was fir tree roots in the water pipeswhich called for them to bring in a backhoe to dig down far enough to get at the area for repair in a tight area. My Mother is still living in her own home at 93 and this morning finds need in plumbing repair as usual she called on faithful D & F plumbing!!

Do not use this company. They charged me almost $400 to look under my house. Then quoted me $3000 for a possible repair and then they demanded half to even make the appointment. The $400 they charged to look under my house wouldn't even go towards the repair! The repair ended up just being a poor toilet seal and was handled in an hour by streamline plumbing for $125. You can find plumbers that do free consults and I wish I hadn't panicked with a repair and let the first people I called come into my home. Lesson learned. In this economy it's honestly downright unethical the amount of money this company got off of me to simply look under my house. I hope the poor technician finds a decent and honest company to work for. He was a good guy with an unethical company behind him.

I called D&F to see what they would charge to replace my sewer line from my house to the curb. Their plumber showed up 2 hours late and spent 15 minutes at my house. I am self-employed and had to cancel a client meeting in order to accommodate the plumber's tardiness. The quote came in at over 3 times what another qualified professional quoted me ($24k vs $7,200). I declined to pay the plumber when he left and asked him to have his office to call me. They did not call, but emailed. I replied and said that we should call it a wash since I lost money due to their employee's extreme tardiness. They charged my card regardless.I am certain that they would have subbed out the work and paid their sub significantly less than what they charged me. Do NOT use D&F Plumbing.

Our kitchen sink started leaking. Called someone else and they were booked out a month. Called D&F and they had Randy out to us just a few hours later. He quickly diagnosed the issue, priced the repair, and was able to do fix it today, all in one trip. Very happy customer.

Woke up to my toilet seal disconnected and water running through the floor to the basement. I made one call and the dispatcher was so kind he asked if he could call me back to hopefully get someone out to repair it before the weekend. He called back within an hour and were able to dispatch the amazing and wonderful Aaron who was kind, polite!, helpful and did an absolute wonderful job! He went out of his way to make sure I was completely satisfied, he was honest and didn't try to upsell me or over charge me in any way! I will be using them again in the near future!!! Our home had a collapsed drain line that traversed under the basement. This was noticed on a Thursday night. I gave my phone number on their website. The next morning at 7 o'clock their office called, by eight o'clock their technician arrived! The problem was assessed and after a short amount of time a proposal was drawn of which we accepted. They started the following Monday and by Wednesday the work was ready for the city inspector. True artistry in the plumbing craft. They were clean, friendly and enjoyable technicians. We were able to stay in our home while the work was done. I couldn't have picked a better plumbing contractor for the work that was needed.

Steve changed our house filter housing to a similar but different filter. He was courteous, VERY professional and obviously experienced, on time and let us know about each step. The whole thing was more expensive than the quote we received from another plumbing business, but we feel much better about D and L, and about Steve particularly. I would recommend him and the company in a heartbeat.

We had an emergency call from our rental that there was water leaking from the upstairs shower into the lights below. D&F scheduled us fast, but then I ended up having an over lapping appointment with the time they were supposed to come, Duncan was amazing and took care of me and re-worked the schedule to make it one of the first appointments of the day even though they were really slammed. Timing was perfect they send a message to give you heads up that they are on the way which is about 30 minutes give or take which was perfect as I had to also drive to the location. Loren the technician was very personable and knowledgeable and gave us many tips and ideas to help our issue. Will most definitely recommend and be using D&F plumbing for any future needs.

I cannot begin to tell you how thankful I am for Joel, Andy and Ben! My condo units plumbing needed major repairs and these 3 worked until 11pm at night to make sure it got fixed. Who knew not being able to shower, use the toilet, do laundry etc. for 2 days would be such a nightmare. But these 3 made it happen and I cannot begin to tell you how much we all appreciate them. Talk about going above and beyond! I will forever be referring D&F Plumbing in the future!

I call the number and ask if there’s any way we can make an emergency appointment. I told the lady if there’s no way we can get it done today just let me know now, because we’ve got water blasting out the pipes in our bathroom. She says she’ll call me back once she gets in touch with an employee on call and in the middle of responding to her she hangs up in my face. We never got a call back and thankfully ended up fixing it ourselves.

If you're looking for plumbing, than stay away from this company. I was quoted $380 for the first 2 hrs of work and each additional hr at $180. This was an emergency after hours saturday (mid-day) and it was kind if hard to find someone. I would have kept calling around but I waited a couple hours for them to show up based on their quote, but when they got here. He came up with a 2,600.00 cost. At this point, it was crucial to get the work done, which was literally 3 feet of running plastic pipe line from the base of the floor to the new shower valve he put in. ( No other cost, that was it!) It took him 2 hrs to do the work. I felt totally robbed and taken advantage of! I had no choice but to sign to agree to the charges because I was running out of time to do this. I called and talked to the manager and explained to him exactly what I was quoted on the phone and he even acknowledged the person was wrong. I pleaded and tried to get empathy for this charge so he could take off some of the amount maybe, but he simply didnt care and the first thing out of his mouth was; you signed a contract. Now, I own a business myself and that treatment and dis regard for a client is absolutely disgusting. If you have plumbing work, do not call this company if you have an emergency. Complete waste of time and a rip off! This is not a review for the worker. He was a great guy.

D&F Plumbing saved us after multiple other plumbers failed to replace a failed water heater. They came out quickly (next day) and even provided us tracking so we knew exactly when to expect service. Robert was fantastic to work with, friendly, very knowledgeable about the industry and the work he was doing, & thoroughly explained everything he did afterward. Extremely happy with Robert and D&F Plumbing, just wished we had called them sooner instead of trying to solve the problem with budget plumbers.

I Hate to give a bad review but, We use them all the time at work and have an account with them never had a problem so I decided to call and have them ruff in a shower valve I had the sheetrock removed so easy access and supplied the valve, it took 2 hours Ok not bad seemed reasonable I was charged over $600.00 that's $300.00 an hour Wow I doubt we will use them again for personal use I hope this does not fall on deft ears

The tech who came to our home was exceptionally courteous. The reason for this review is the pricing. Their estimate was over a thousand dollars for two repairs. The next plumber I called (Colt's Plumbing) came out same day and charged $250. D&F also charges a dispatch fee of $119 when most plumbers provide free estimates. This was definitely a burn to me - I figured the work would be a few hundred and the dispatch fee would be taken off that total. Instead, I made a donation. Just so's you know.

DO NOT USE D & F!!! I was charged $660 for a simple valve change under my sink. A one hour job and about $50 in parts at best. That is absurd. They were going to charge me another $600 to change my faucet. I told them no and did it in 10 minutes myself.I made the mistake of not reading reviews, don't make the same mistake! There's plenty of reviews explaining how much they charge.

They were recommended by a neighbor who was highly impressed with their work and they did a quality job. It was a combination of installing a new faucet and snaking a clog in the pipe. Not an urgent job and I made clear but one that definitely was done well.

We did a basement remodel, which also led us to a complete re-pipe, new main line, and a new water heater. While the initial quote was way less than I actually paid. The company was upfront about how the costs could be more with additional work. My advice is to know EXACTLY what you want done instead of deciding while they are working. Add-ons are not cheap when it comes to plumbing.They did an excellent job with everything including cleaning up. It was easy to communicate with them, and they always got back to me right away. I would definitely use their services again.

Exorbitant pricing. I had a tub with a leak and a sink with a p-trap that needed replacing. They wanted $1700 based on their fixed pricing, and made me pay $100 just for the honor of being given a quote. I found a guy on craigslist that did a good job for 1/3 the price. These guys and 3 mountain have roughly the same model. Fixed scheme pricing, pay-per-estimate to take advantage of people that don't know any better

At a time when everyone I know is complaining about service workers and trained technicians being hard or impossible to find, I feel extremely fortunate to have found a company that provided complete, prompt communication and shockingly quick appointments and quality work. I feel this all the more strongly now that my family has hot water again.

Warren was very efficient. And he explained very well the options available. He did a good job and I'm very happy to have water again!

Frank was great and very knowledgeable. He examined our problem and decided that it didn’t need repair. He looked at another problem we had and was able to add an expansion tank to our water heater so that we are now up to code. That solved our second problem. We will use them again if needed.

Bret was delightful and thorough. He was informative and guided us through what could have been an overwhelming experience. Yay D&F Plumbing.

$620 for 60 minute consult?!Called D&F to help me troubleshoot a frozen pipe.  To their credit, the plumber showed up in less than 4 hours.  Other companies offered to come out the following week. After turning on/off some faucets the technician found the problem but as he said, nothing to do but wait it out.  He then charged me a $120 service charge and $499 exploration fee.  Not sure what the legal definition is for price gouging but if this doesn't qualify I'm not sure what does.  Do yourself a favor and check out the smaller outfits (those that don't spend half their advertising budget online).  You'll probably pay far less and find the same or similar expertise.

Mike was excellent! Personable, knowledgeable and did able he can to help. On time, service we promised. Cost is a little higher than average but you do get the right service.

No stars if I could!!! 7,000 for a shower valve installation. And valves were crooked and broke. day in a half job and I am still fixing your work. You should be embarrassed of your work. You play these people and take advantage. Disgusting!! This is why I'm going for my license because I've seen so many people like y'all that rip people off and do half a$$ work. D&F was able to come out to replace my water heater the same week I called. Joe was super friendly and very communicative in helping us choose the right water heater to fit our needs. Will definitely use them again!

Nice work, but dishonest and predatory business practices. I was billed $1040 for less than 90 minutes of work. On the phone I was quoted $199 for an after hours service call, and told labor and parts would be charged on top of that. When the plumber arrived he said they only bill by the job and not for actual hours worked. By the way, he arrived at 4:30 PM and still charged after-hours rates. I had no water in my house and could not wait another day to find an honest company to work with so had to pay this outrageous bill.

D&F was great! We were nervous about cost because a few other plumbers we called weren't even available for several weeks and we needed the work done ASAP. Not only could D&F come out right away but they didn't charge us an emergency or rush fee and they did the work the same day as they identified the issue. Hassan was our plumber and he was very quick, knowledgeable and courteous. We are calling right now to hire them again for a different project.

Terrible company, way overpriced and refused tonwarranty their work , they called the morning of waranty repair snd told me to go pond sand that leak repairs had no guarantee , i had another contractor out thst explained to me rhat a 2$ part and a wrench would fix the problem, which i did, i disputed the entire bill and am fighting credit card company over entire bill. These guys/ girls spend 100000$ a month on advertising to get new customers because they have a zero retention rate of customers, i guarantee you willBe sorry if you call these people

Patrick arrived exactly on time at 8 am. He easily diagnosed the catastrophic problem with our toilet and offered us 3 solutions.
We ended up replacing the toilet, option 3. Everything was done by 11 am.
I would call D&F again if a need arises.

THIS COMPANY IS SCAMMING PEOPLE. DO NOT USE.I called to have someone come out to unclog 2 drains, knowing that the company charges an estimate fee of $119 that is waived if you use them for the service. The estimate they gave me for unclogging the two drains, was $740. When I asked why the price was so much higher than I had ever paid before, the plumber said a bunch of stuff about supply chain, Covid, etc. I figured maybe that was true, and it has been many years since I have had to hire a plumber, didn't want to lose the $119, and it was somewhat urgent, so went ahead with the service. I called around afterward and found out that drain repair should be MUCH less, it's still on average around $150/drain. When I called D&F to complain, they said their customer service team was all in a meeting and they'd call me back by the end of the day -- which of course did not happen. I now see many similar reviews for the company on Yelp and Google.

Told my wife it may be a couple hundred dollars. Their “plumber” shows up looks at a leaking water spigot and says a minimum of $600. This place does the bait and switch and takes advantage of their $119 service call.

I highly recommend D & F Plumbing! Brittany (in the office) is helpful, friendly and professional. Robert did the work to clear our drain, and he was great. He's professional, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. He talked me through everything he was doing, and also gave me good tips for future clog prevention. I hope I don't need their services again but, if I do, I won't hesitate to call D & F.

I contacted D & F Plumbing to help me with my shower remodeling project. I wanted an experts assistance with replacing the shower mixing valve and re-installing shower drain over fiberglass pan. They've sent a total of 3 plumbers out to work on what I thought was a relatively simple project. Plumber #1 misunderstood what I needed him to do and so ended up quoting me a dramatically cheaper price than what I paid (ended up DOUBLE what was estimated) and could not complete the work on the day he came. Plumber #2 completed the job, but I could hear him complaining about it while on the phone with someone else (I mean, seriously?!). Plumber #3 had to be called out because the job plumber #2 completed ended up leaking into the room below the firs time we used the shower because it was completed improperly. Plumber #3 has been the most helpful and responsive. As a result of the diagnostic work and testing that plumber #3 needed to do, the drywall in the ceiling below the bathroom developed a large bubble, which plumber #3 said the company would repair at no cost to me. Well, it has been weeks (months?) since this agreement was made and I still have no ceiling repair. I'm not really sure what the deal is with this company, but I would not recommend them for anything at this point. Their estimates were way off, the work was shoddy and damaged our house, and have been slow to non-responsive to doing the agreed upon repairs.

Looked for evidence as to where a bathroom leak is coming from. Restoration going to get bathroom ready for repairs, and new plumbing.

These guys went above and beyond on a weekend when our tankless water heater broke and needed replacement. Not only did they spend Saturday finding the right model to fit into a tight space, which wasn't easy to find, but then they came out on a Sunday morning to install it. John did excellent work. Personable, experienced, efficient--that's how I would describe John. His work is just the best and I can't recommend John or D&FPlumbing highly enough.

Started in the 3 o'clock hour and wasn't done until almost 8.Found and repaired a small leak we didn't know existed, thank you, and replaced a very tired gate valve with a ball valve and all done in L grade copper pipe. If you want it done right by a Pro who stats after hours until the job is verified as complete and charges a fair price, not cheap those guys work fails and not expensive as those guys s***, go with D&F plumbing. Rob from D&F Plumbing did an outstanding job on our two bathroom remodels. Was on time, explained exactly what he was doing, and took extreme care handling and installing the new fixtures. Working with some tight tolerances, he had everything figured out at rough-in which made the finish trim installation seamless. A true craftsman and professional. We hope to get the chance to work with him again.

Just had a shower kit for a clawfoot installed at 3 times what I was quoted. The invoice shows nothing other than a total, absolutely no itemizing. Pay attention to the reviews is all I have to say, there is a pattern of this and a reason why they only rate 3.5. Quality was sub par at best and first time using the shower, there was a deafening sound coming from the pipes. They wanted to charge me to come back and fix this but my question is, did they not turn it on to see there was an issue or did they just install it and pack up their tools?! Will NEVER use them again!

Could not have asked for better service. Ben Carter was prompt, very professional and had a great personality. He removed an old faucet fixture on an old claw bathtub. I had made a mess trying to remove it myself. One look and he said no problem and he meant it. I highly recommend D&F Plumbing. I would definitely use their services again.

Service needed was to replace old non functioning shutoff valves under kitchen sink to facilitate installation of new dish washer. Chris was very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous in explaining what the process would be and provided an estimate for my approval prior to beginning the work. Chris completed the necessary work in a much shorter time frame that I had expected and then went over how the new valves worked. He then conducted an inspection of all other valves in both bathrooms and the water heater and provided a check list of items that needed to addressed at some point in time. Chris was also very neat and cleaned up when all work was done. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the level of service provided and with Chris’ professionalism. As a result, I will definitely keep D&F in mind for any future needs as they arise and will not hesitate to recommend D&F to my neighbors. Thank you for a great experience.

They have come twice to do some work for us, and they have been always on time and very professional. They gave us fair estimates and honored them. Also, you have to pay for their visit to get an estimate, but it gets discounted if you actually decide to do the job. Although well recommended for a friend they seemed busy but well staff because you don’t have to wait for month to get the work done. Thanks guys!

My experience with D &F plumbing was great. From setting up my appointment to James who came out to my home and did the repair. Would call them again!

They did not perform any service, but still charged me $119. First, there were two mistakes in scheduling the appointment resulting in an additional day delay and multiple phone calls. Second, I have not had a need for a plumber in many years and asked them if they could give me a ballpark figure on how much it would cost to swap out a kitchen faucet and they said they could not give me any rough idea on potential cost, but for $119 they will come out and take a look. The plumber shows up and tells me it would be $726 to swap out a faucet, and $1000 if I used their parts - even though I was clear I had my own faucet. He said the work would take about 45 minutes to complete. The plumber himself thought the price was too high so tried to connect with someone to get it reduced, but they said no. He then went on to say that he noticed another issue with my sink that he would like to provide me a quote to fix, even though I didn’t ask and it wasn’t causing me any problems. This would involve cutting a hole in the wall, doing some other work on the sink, etc and sounded more involved. The cost for this would be $742, basically the same price for swapping out a faucet, for a much more complex job. So I didn’t have them make the change and requested I not be charged $119 due to the schedule mix up, the ridiculous cost to swap out a faucet and not giving me a hint on their base price. I called the office and they gave me the patronizing response, but would not refund the $119. I asked why they couldn’t give me a price as a starting point if they all seem to start at around $700, and he said it was their prerogative to choose not to share that starting price. He then abruptly ended the call.

The worst. They broke equipment on install and then didn't want to be responsible. The charged my credit card twice without permission or an invoice. I would never use them for anything. I would give zero stars but had to for review to post.

Complete scam! I called to have a toilet set in my business. I had all of the things needed and agreed to the credit card transaction of 119.00 which was required before they came out but I didn't realize I would get a quote of 743.00 just to set a toilet. It was a easy cash grab for them to just charge my card for the 119.00. No way was I going to be charged 743.00. That is ridiculous! I ended up with another company and paid 140.00. Another company quoted me around the same amount of 129.00 but didn't have time to do it as soon.This is the first revue I have ever written on anything, I just couldn't hold back on this one.

James was very friendly. My pets loved him. Solved the problem, but said it could happen again. Then the toilet should be replaced. Which is a 1997 vintage.

No show. I called a week in advance and scheduled an appointment. They did not show up nor did they call to explain. Also the person I spoke to on the phone was borderline rude.

Tech was very helpful and worked very hard though this whole process. Stayed late when we asked him and did his job fully to find out the problem. We would always recommend this plumbing service.

My overall experience was very positive. I had a plumbing emergency and was fit in the next day (which is what worked with my schedule). Brandon was quick to diagnose my problem, fixed it with ease, and even found me a coupon to save me a few dollars! I will definitely use D & F Plumbing in the future.

We would be in a very sorry state indeed without D&F Plumbing!We discovered them a few years ago when our sewer outflow pipe malfunctioned and backed up sewage into ourbasement. No local (south Columbia County, OR) plumber would come because it was a Saturday night. Joel from D&F answered our call for help and not only discovered what was causing the malfunction, repaired it, and got everything under control, but even connected us with a great damage remediation company for the needed clean-up.More recently, due to a municipal water system problem, our local water pressure has become too high and widely varying, making the water hammers were suddently experiencing difficult to identify and correct. Frankie was a godsend! He is always prompt, polite, thorough, and explains everything very clearly. He's now got the water hammer problems sorted and even got the city to come and verify that the problem was widespread so that we can warn our neighbors and have better leverage to get the city to correct the larger system problems.

Frankie gave us a variety of options and costs to have a plumbing line moved and another installed. Professional and prompt service, would recommend to anyone.

Jason installed a new natural gas line for my new gas stove (replacing an electric one). All work was done expeditiously and with great skill and in a quite reasonable time frame. The entire work area, including the crawl space was kept well clean and orderly. It was a pleasure to have Jason do the work for me and I would not hesitate to ask him for any future work I may need and to recommend him to others requiring quality plumbing work.
