Best Home Maintenance in Pittsburgh PA

Woke up to a furnace not working, called Lakewood Mechanical and they were at my home withing hours. Prompt service, excellent repair, and courteous service people. I will be recommending this company to all of my friends.

First of all folks I'm not even from Pittsburgh, but we are visiting some friends in the area. Found the site and called when my friends toilet went all nasty. Not the thing to have happen when you have guests over for the week. My friend made the call and they showed up super fast. Tried to help contain the mess before it got way out of hand (OMG that was nasty- those people have iron stomachs for sure). These guys were so professional - and they did an awesome job. They ended up having to take the whole toilet up to get a diaper out of the toilet that swelled up half way down the pipe. They cleaned up the job (too bad she couldn't convince them to do the floors while they were there) and were super friendly and professional. This is honestly my first review. I figured a business that went that far out of their way was worth doing a review. Thank you Pittsburgh Plumbing!

On time, friendly, fair and reasonable. Wore booties in the house, and tended to the repair quickly. The techs definitely seemed to know what they were doing, and offered a much more appropriate quote for repairing my water heater than I got from a competitor who offered a wildly overpriced replacement quote. Had what seemed to be a pipe burst but ended up being a pressure reduction valve breaking. They were on site and fixed the problem within 3 hours of the initial call. Tom, the plumber was professional and courteous. I would hire again.

I don't post Google reviews that often, but when I do it is because I think highly of the service man and business. I would most definitely recommend Chris Smiley and Mr. Rooter to anyone in need of plumbing issues. Chris was very professional and did wonderful work on our leaking hot water heater. He explained everything he was going to do to fix necessary repairs and went over the cost break down.

I was having trouble with my sewer backing up. We were 8 days into our whole family life being disrupted by not being able to run a single drop of water down a drain (and actually, I was getting tired of showering with the garden hose in the backyard!!), when Scott Christian arrived promptly at 8a.m. He listened and looked over everything and then pointed out what the first plumbers failed to do (I called Gillece instead of calling that same company again!). Scott had the drain unclogged and running within the hour of arriving. I was so happy, I cried! Thank you Scott and thanks for all your helpful tips. I would highly recommend Gillece for plumbing services, because they actually pay attention to what you are saying and trouble shoot the problems right on the premises. These people apparently can’t drive to save their lives. One of their vans completely ignored the yield sign when merging onto 376 in Edgewood and almost hit me.

Very professional.:40 minutes of total gentle labor plus 40 minutes of driving to pick up the piece and bring it back to install it. A small resistor, which should not cost more than a few dollars. Total: US$ 399. My bad, I should have asked the hourly rate.

The staff worked very diligently and even came back after the job was done to fix something. However, for the amount that we paid for the entire job to be done, the overall quality really disappointed us. The cement that was put into the basement was very rough, and there didn't seem to be an effort to smooth it out to the existing cement.
