I went with this company after seeing 4+ review stars on the Google, but I really wish I had consult with other plumbers! Before letting these people do the work, please look around and explore your option more, especially if you are new to the town!! These company’s prices are unreasonably high! I had them installed a pressure reducing valve, expansion tank, shutoff valve and 3/4” dual check valve. They charged me 3k for these which is absurd! I really wished I hadn’t let them do the work! Later I found out these can be done below 1k! I confirmed these with other certified professionals! Although they were on time, they will overcharge you, esp if are unaware and innocent. I would suggest looking other options too!

Steven Thompson - is the only plumber I will trust in my house. I had other companies come out, and no one took their time and did the quality work Steve did. He was honest with the pricing, stuck to his pricing throughout the process. He was so very professional, and incredibly knowledgeable - he took his time to explain the work he was doing and why it needed done. I would recommend him so highly to anyone and could not say more positive things about how trustworthy and professional he is.

Ed Stamerra, the plumbing services manager, was exceptionally attentive and effective in diagnosing and resolving our water heater issue. The speed, professionalism, and persistence in making sure our needs were fully addressed were outstanding.

I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience, but my experience with Luigi was EXCELLENT! He was very knowledgeable about our plumbing issue and was very detailed when it came to explaining exactly what the problem was and what it was going to take to permanently correct it. No sales pitching, just straight to the point. I recommend asking for him by name.

John Beard with Gillece did an exceptional job installing our new tankless water heater. From diagnosing the issue with our existing unit, to pitching multiple replacement systems, through the install of the new unit, John was very professional and his attention to detail was appreciated. We are pleased with our new system, and our experience contracting Gillece, and especially our interactions with John, exceeded our expectations.

THESE GUYS ARE TERRIBLE.We had them come out to fix our toilet. It was flushing with no problem but the water kept running after the tank was filled.They came out and fixed that problem for the moment but now our toilet barely flushes. You have to hold the handle down for the entire flush and even then it doesn't always flush. This is with the water pressure turned all the way up.We asked them to come back out. It took a week for them to come again and that was after 3 CANCELLATIONS. On the 3rd cancellation I demanded that they come out that day. They called back and said they'd come. Someone came and barely improved the situation.Now our toilet is running after it fills up again like before and sometimes the tank doesn't fill up at all, we have to jiggle the handle to get it to fill again.We told them to come out a 3rd time. It was a Saturday morning appointment. By noon no one called or showed up. I called them to cancel the appointment. Now I'm going to have to pay another plumber to fix their job which they over-charged us for.These guys are incompetent and they're rip off artists. They kept trying to up sell us the whole time they were here during the first visit. I strongly discourage anyone from using them.

Chad Conley was beyond wonderful, professional & personable. We had broken sewer pipes in our basement & called your co. We recieved prompt assistance and wonderful service! This employee should be at the top of your management team with his knowledge, expertise & compassionate attitude! The cost was high but we are very satisfied with the work completed. I would highly recommend your company and your professional team !!!!Also........Ryan Chiplaskey & Crissy Stephens doing the physical work needs praising! These two were so professional, personable and such team players! They worked so very hard & I was so impressed! Hopefully your co. will recognize these two exemplary employees for the asset they are to you !!!!

Called on a Monday and a technician showed up a few hours later. He diagnosed our problem and set up a future appointment to fix it since it is a fairly larger job. Great customer service!! Answered all questions before I even had to ask! Would highly recommend them and especially John beard for his great service!!

My husband and I called Gillece on 5/24 about a potential backup in our sewer line. We were told somebody would be out that same day before 4pm. However, when I called at 4, they then said someone would be out tomorrow. The plumber came (now on Memorial Day), to snake the drain. Then he says that it didn’t work and we needed to jet the line...for $1000. Okay, did that. After paying the $1000, it allegedly still didn’t fix the problem. So he told me that the line was broken and would need to be replaced. That would cost around $5300, “but could easily turn into a $20,000 job” which he reminded me of several times. While trying to figure out how we could afford this job, he went home so we could figure out what to do. In this, I talked to my husband’s step dad who had someone willing to come out and look at it.Meanwhile, We had to move into a hotel with our 10 month old daughter for 2 days because Gillece scared me into thinking I couldn’t use the plumbing in my house. When the other guy came out, he said that there were only roots from our bushes in the line and we only needed chemicals to put down the drain to fix the problem. So we did this and now have no problems.The line was never broken. We were lied to and feel like we were conned out of $1000, and potentially more if we had listened to this company. I believe this company preys on people who have little knowledge of these kinds of issues and uses fear to get them to pay astronomical prices by making problems appear way worse than they actually are. I called Gillece and tried to voice my concerns and was offered a half-hearted apology and a credit for a company I will NEVER use again.

Steve is a great plumber to have out in an emergency. He assessed the situation and went to work letting me know what was going on during the process. Shared video footage and more. When completed he let me know what next steps looked like. Appreciate guys like Steve that come to you straight and solution oriented.

A close friend recently had some work done from them. He had such a great and easy time and felt he had the best quality job and price. Said it all started from the first guy there, Luigi, who was very friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable. And he was easy to get ahold of, work with, and made sure everything went as smooth as possible. If I ever have and plumbing issues, Gillece will be the first call I make

Jay W was professional and helpful. The service was pricey, but they were timely and have emergency hours. I would definitely use them again (and him in particular) if I ran into an another electrical jam beyond my (limited) expertise.

I knew that my current HVAC system was no longer up to par, but Ron was able to explain what exactly was the issues causing poor performance and the best way to improve, in a way that I could easily understand. Definitely recommend Ron for customers that truly want to understand the whys and hows for servicing.

I contacted them to get an estimate on a furnace replacement, plus the addition of AC and an electrical panel upgrade. So we're likely talking about over $10K in services. Unlike everyone else I have contacted for an estimate, they want me to pay them almost $100 to come give me an estimate.No thanks!How is a fee to provide an estimate competitive when other companies provide estimates for free?I've never encountered another business that charged a fee to provide an estimate for house related services.

These people are scammers. Stay away from them. We saved $1,000 by using a different plumbing company. Beware.
They are by far the worst company I've ever dealt with in the tri-state area!

I was extremely happy with my service today. Kyle know exactly what my issue was. He corrected my issue then checked my heating and cooling system to ensure we were ok. I enjoyed learning from Kyle as he took time to explain what he was doing. Thank you for great service. Chazz Burke

Tiffany was efficient and professional. Arrived on time and completed all of her work with ease as a result of her knowledge and experience. I would recommend her to anyone needing electrical services.

I had electrician come to my house and try to charge me $681 for a breaker. I figured I’d give them another chance and not cancel the HVAC appointment I had on the upcoming Friday but they did that themselves. Even after calling and confirming the appointment on my lunch at 12:43 on my lunch. I missed a call at 5:21pm and called back at 5:23pm for them to tell me the tech has been rerouted and no one was going to be able to come. These people are total crooks, they try to rip people off and run promotions to cancel on you if they will make more money elsewhere.

I believe that giving one star, although not deserved, is more than a decent rating.Should you choose to hire Gillece I hope your experience is better than ours. The lack of common courtesy appears to be a rather fitting term. Very quick to charge AND overcharge (must be paid upfront) for services not provided and work not completed. Too bad that 7, yes, 7 months from the time they claim to have finished the work they were hired to do the mess in our backyard is yet to be cleaned up, top soil to be delivered, broken plastic pipes to be removed and damaged decorative property to be fixed. Endless phone calls resulted in being hushed with empty promises. Leaving several messages hoping for at least a return call, trying to be patient, giving them the benefit of the doubt. Tired of waiting and being pushed aside for whatever reason happened to be convenient at that time-weather conditions, shorthanded crew, etc. The next move is filing a report with BBB, then getting channels 2, 4 & 11 involved. Perhaps that will get someone's attention?It's not the technicians faults, after all their instructions come from their poor management. What a shame and what a rip off!

John was very efficient, polite, and walked me through the process he was about to do on the fuses.

Colin Z was the best service technician I've met from Gillece. He was very professional, courteous and was very honest. He shared a lot of great information about our equipment and answered all of my inquisitive questions. What impressed me the most was the wealth of information Colin had. He demonstrated a great wealth of knowledge on brands, equipment and service. Colin certainly exceeded my expectations of the more typical service technician. Gillece wasn't my first choice for service after the less than desired experience when they installed my system a few years ago, but after today's experience with Colin, I'll be calling Gillece in the future. Now, if only we could be guaranteed to get Colin again!As an added note, the customer service girl (Kelly I think?) was very good too. She called me every two hours with an update on when we could expect a technician. This was very much appreciated!

We really liked Hal service. He was quick to do the installation and answered all our questions with great details which helped us make informed decision about what all things we wanted to get done.

I had them put in a new toilet and replace a couple of valves. They got things do e fairly quickly and were very professional. Their services are a bit expensive but worth it for piece of mind. Ed is excellent at his job.

My appointment was scheduled for the am. However, it was 330 in the afternoon when the technician arrived. Although they were very late I was keep apprised of the rescheduling. Once the technician arrived Tiffany was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable as well as apologetic for the delay. She took time to listen to what I was requesting. She offered several different options for my approval. She worked efficiently and professionally. She was not able to complete the work on the first day, but rescheduled me accordingly to fit my schedule. The second day she arrived early and started immediately. I was having trouble with my sewer backing up. We were 8 days into our whole family life being disrupted by not being able to run a single drop of water down a drain (and actually, I was getting tired of showering with the garden hose in the backyard!!), when Scott Christian arrived promptly at 8a.m. He listened and looked over everything and then pointed out what the first plumbers failed to do (I called Gillece instead of calling that same company again!). Scott had the drain unclogged and running within the hour of arriving. I was so happy, I cried! Thank you Scott and thanks for all your helpful tips. I would highly recommend Gillece for plumbing services, because they actually pay attention to what you are saying and trouble shoot the problems right on the premises. Thank you Scott for doing a wonderful job!

I schedule on a Tuesday to have my downspout drains cleaned. The scheduled for the following day. Received several calls throughout the day letting me know I was on their service board but no tech was available. At 445 they rescheduled for the following morning (Thursday). Same thing happened. Rescheduled for Friday morning. At 245 Friday afternoon they called to let me know a tech wouldn’t be making it out again. Asked if I AGAIN wanted to reschedule. This time, after waiting for 3 days, I decided this company had lost my business. I’ll try my luck somewhere else. I am fortunate that it wasn’t an emergency but deemed the rescheduling for 3 days an unacceptable practice. Poor scheduling, poor time management and/or just a poor business practice.

We had a 13,000 dollar boiler system put in our house in December 2016. Came with a manufacturer warranty and a warranty directly written out from Gillece themselves. We have had issues from the install not being done correctly to water in the exhaust pipe due to installation and the flame ignite sensor kicking the system off. Which then results in having no heat in the middle of the night and freezing small children, which they don't seem to care about. They got the installation parts of the issue fixed, however, they still have not correctly fixed the ignite sensor. They come out clean it and say its all good and then it goes bad again months later. Well it just did it again Feb. 6,2020. So we called them out to honor the warranty and the work that they say was completed and done correctly. They tell us it will be a 95 dollar charge even though it has been a ongoing issue and we have a warranty. They give us the run around when people can come out to the house. We ask for higher management and they just say they will call you that they aren't in the office. So we wait and wait and wait and still don't hear from anyone. We wait and wait and wait around the house for someone to come and pray they are the ones to permanently fix the issue but just keep getting pushed till next day. The office says that we have cussed out the workers, which has never been the situation. If Gillece wants to know the real truth, Gillece workers complain about the company non stop and how the schedulers don't care about when they schedule appointments. Etc. Etc. I could go on and on but for my sanity I am going to stop. I feel the company does what is good for them and that they will keep you happy until they have your money and then they don't seem to care!! Be aware and do your research!! It's a shame because the technicians that come out know their stuff they just have to follow company procedures and this company is horrible for caring about their workers and their customers!!

Great response time, nice clean work, all options explained clearly. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive, and you can't beat a 36-hour turnaround from initial call to wrapping up the job -- others we called were booking 4 weeks out. Tiffany V. was a great technician and was both friendly and professional. She also brought some other issues to our attention, including one that even the home inspector missed: the electrical service wires to our house were broken and could have caused extensive damage due to unbalanced load. Recommended!

The technician,Ron, came on the same day that I called for service regarding my furnace. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I will use them again and will recommend them to family and friends.

I had a electrical technician Hal come to my house to give me an estimate on hooking up my pool heater. Not only was the trip and estimate free, but after he was done giving me the estimate it was definitely reasonable with a guarantee that my pool heater could be hooked up today. I agreed to have the work done, and Hal took the time out to explain everything step by step. After the pool heater was hooked up, Hal then took the time out to explain how things works and what to do in the future. He also recommended other service and even though I declined then for now he still was respectful and professional doing what I asked to be done. There’s a lot of talk about Gillece being overly expensive and not worth the money or time. I totally disagree Gillece was actually less expensive than several electrical company’s and definitely honest about being able to do the work that day. Hal was completely up front on everything and didn’t leave until all my questions were asked and I was completely satisfied. I will be using Gillece again for my plumbing, electrical and heating services in the future. Thanks Hal and thanks Gillece !

Ed installed a tankless water at my home and I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend Gillece Services . . .simply the best!!

The electrician, Tiffany, was fantastic. She was able to troubleshoot multiple wiring and breaker issues, put up several lights and fans (inside and outside), upgraded and installed new safe outlets (inside and outside). She was knowledgeable and personable. Her timeless and efficiency were on point. She kept me updated on all of her progress. I will definitely use their electrical services again in the future.

Gillece is always there in the case of an emergency. My A/C stopped working in the middle of a heat wave, and Gillece was there in a couple of hours. Dave, the HVAC technician, diagnosed the problem quickly and was professional and courteous throughout the visit.

Exceptional customer service does not begin to describe the level of services we received from Gillece Services. We awoke to a plumbing nightmare and Gillece was able to come out and help us immediately. It was a worst-case scenario, unfortunately, but Ed Stamerra was amazing. He took the time to explain what the issues were and the options that were available to correct them. His crew was always on time and respectful. We were never in the dark about what was going on and if we had questions Ed had no problem answering them.When it was apparent that we would need to contact our homeowner’s insurance, Ed was an absolute rock star. He helped us through the process even when our insurance company was being shady; he was there to have our back. You cannot fully appreciate what that means unless you have been in that situation. I would not recommend them at all to anyone. I had a pipe break in my basement so I called on Saturday morning and scheduled an appointment for Saturday afternoon. They called and cancelled and said there tech was called to an emergency and wouldn’t make it today they would have to reschedule for Sunday. They did the same thing Sunday and Monday so I told them to forget about it I would find someone else that is dependable. I don’t know how a company can do business this way and keep getting business.

Main line water repair -Had main shut off valve replaced. 3 days after replacement water started leaking behind the block wall. Had to have 2nd plumber come in and look at it (Not Gillece) . Leak was due to the fact they did not seal the new value properly . 2nd plumber was able to identify issues they caused and replaced the same valve properly been over 2 weeks with no leak or issues. I loved having to pay for the same repair twice. Price to also do this was over $600 to replace a $30 part.Company is over priced if you are doing anything other then getting a drain unclogged I would recommend reaching out to your local water authority many of them do side work as plumbers and have experience working with the water lines in your area.I am sure there is something in the paperwork I was asked to sign that wont allow me to get any of my money back. Love wasting $600 on Professionals

Tiffany Valentine is very friendly and knowledgeable about electrical work. She told me upfront exactly what was wrong and what I needed to do to fix the problem I had today, as well as what I needed to do to avoid problems in the future. I appreciate her willingness to go above and beyond what she was required to do in order to help me with my schedule also. No one likes having to call technicians to work on their homes, but when you get someone like Tiffany Valentine, it makes the whole experience easier.

The estimator arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. He explained the full job, in excellent detail. I got the estimate immediately, financing was quick and simple, and they are starting the job TODAY. Yes today. I'm pretty jaw dropped on that. I really recommend this company.

Dan and Jared were on time and very personable. They checked everything in great detail and explained everything to us in regards to our service. We had our furnace installed 4 years ago and have had nothing but exceptional service from this company. I highly recommend them. We have also used them for plumbing services and they fixed the problem immediately and very reasonably.

Justin DaleyThis last week has been extremely stressful at our house dealing with the issues regarding our hot water tank. I must say, the overall experience we had with Justin was awesome. He was very friendly from the moment we met him, he didn't beat around the bush about anything, didn't give us a hard time, he talked to us as if he was a friend vs someone that's just doing their job. He was here first thing in the morning, and was done working on our hot water tank faster than I expected. He truly did an incredible job all around and we are extremely great full. Gillece is one lucky company for having an employee like Justin.

Needed a water heater replacement called on a Sunday and was told a tech would contact in the afternoon, call from office said no tech available untill Monday. Not bad but not as advertised 24-7 service. Techs showed on Monday at 10.30 am. Discussed options with quotes. The techs were knowledgeable but very arrogant. They wanted 856 .00 to install a heater I purchased, with minimal labor ( old heater was already removed) and no warranty because I did not purchase the heater from them them, both items were Rheem with same warranty and size. Priced a tankless 1600.00 heater and with installation with filtering in the line was quoted at 6000.00. WOW. I am sure the work would have been done on time and professionally. Also a Rheem heater provided by them was quoted at 3000.00 with installation. I purchased a Rheem at HD with same warranty and size for 1075.00. Tech claimed his Rheem was much better .The tech defended the crazy prices by telling me how great he was and how much he needed to make a living too, and the company need to make money also. He claimed he was educated like a doctor. Consequently I hired another plumber who installed my provided heater for 350.00 same day with two men doing the job.

I was completely lied to about the services I would need & charged 65.00 just to have the electrician tell me that he couldn’t touch my circuit panel due to the age of it (which was a lie) upon having another professional electrician visit a few hours later today, I was told that all we needed was a weather hood & to have someone trouble shoot the circuit. I would never recommend this company to anyone. To make matters worse they were gonna charge us 7,000.00 for the project. Again I say I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!

Steven Thompson - Requested service from Gillece due to a what I concluded to be a clogged drain line that I was not able to resolve. The service man was able to quickly identify the issue and further explained in detail by showing visual proof of his findings every step of the way. There were no attempts of deception. The service man was able to correct the issue and also explained that it will reoccur and showed me why it will reoccur and provided options of how to permanently correct the issue. The service person’s name was Steven Thompson. I strongly recommend Steve if you can request a service person. If you can’t, you’ll be happy if Steve happens to be the guy that shows up to solve your issue.

We called Gillece because we had a drain backing up in our basement. Problem was diagnosed the same day we called them and fixed in less than week. Joe and Harvey were wonderful workers...the best. Friendly and explained EVERYTHING so we could understand. I would call Gillece for anything. Joe even brought donuts for my kids! Great people and job well done.

I scheduled a furnace check up for the older furnace in my home after seeing an advertised promotion. Two technicians showed up at the appointment time (I believe one was being trained) and they spent about 25 minutes inspecting the unit before going over some things I needed to be aware of. He suggested a few things I could look into getting done that would make the furnace more efficient but was not pushy and gave me a rough cost idea. He even suggested I call the electric company and request a rebate catalog that may save me some money. Good experience overall.

Steve is very professional, arrived on time, determined the problem, lifted the toilet to clear the clog, and explained everything clearly to my father. The cost was quite reasonable considering it was a Saturday evening. Great work - very much appreciated!

Not deserving of even ONE star, Gillece installation was so bad bare wires directly under dehumidified shorted out $11,000 5 year old furnace. Lies about not being a York dealer because they are such bad products. Then attempts to sell me a cheap new furnace and air conditioner Which was also improperly installed for 9 thousand dollars. Later found out from there peers that they are one of the worst dealers in the area always in court. Told that my warranty was expired Found out from another dealer that my warranty was good till 2021 all he did was enter the serial number for York. As result of their poor craftsmanship water shorted out the whole furnace, then the con man wanted to sell me a warranted part and labor on a circuit board for a thousand dollars and would not guarantee any of the work. If you look at the cheap plastic fixture that caused all f this problem it was stripped out and with what looks like some type of adhesive then forced on the dehumidifier fixture till eventually it gave way and flooded the furnace with water. It was inspected less than 6 months where on of other technicians the same on who accompanied the con man sheister was working and reports to have inspected the furnace mysteriously began leaking. They also charged my wife for a warranted AC repair while under warranty, My wife ordered new filters for the furnace charged 159.00 for them and they never placed the order pocketing a cool 6000 from a warranty repair, called them never returned my call. Buyer beware of this organization they came over to my house with a conman named Steve who is disguised as a technician with the purpose of conning me out of an additional 9 thousand dollars . Buyer beware, Buyer beware, Buyer beware, Buyer beware, Buyer beware. Run from theses guys I am a retired sales man an have never seen such unethical behavior. Conman Steve drove off telling me he was going home to his nice warm house.

I would like to first say that I do not typically do reviews, but I was just so impressed with your employee that I felt compelled to do so. On January 24, 2020, Tiffany arrived on time with a smile on her face. She quickly got to work to figure out why we did not have power to one of our bedrooms after she intently listened to my concerns. Funnily enough, the situation resolved itself! The power came back on after resetting the breaker, which we had tried multiple times, on our own, to no avail (as it goes when your car is making a clangy noise, but doesn't do it when you have it at the shop). She still searched for the culprit and found the offender...a burnt wire in the breaker box! She suggested that we replace the outlets and light switchs. They were originally installed the lazy way 25 years ago and thought it best to do so as she could not deduce what caused the burnt wire since there was currently power to all outlets. Tiffany also suggested a whole house surge protector and explained the unequivocal value of having one. She also offered me Gillece's service plan which included ALL of the services that they had, not just electrical, and told me about the benefits. She then proceeded to draw up a few estimates for me to review. As we went over them, she clearly explained what she would do, what the cost would be, how I could save money today with the service plan, and then let me choose what would work best for me. At no point did I feel any pressure to purchase ANY of the products and services she presented to me. She genuinely cared about my needs. After making the decision to go with the service plan, the surge protector and the replacement of the outlets and light switches, she immediately got to work. She finished in a timely manner and then took me around to show me everything that she did and was patient with me while I asked questions. Tiffany was great to work with! She was very kind and professional. She was confident in her abilities, but at the same time, truly cared about me as a person and engaged in conversation (and a few laughs!) as she worked. I called Gillece because I was having problems with my furnace. They sent a tech out to check it out. Tako was the tech they sent and he was professional and courteous. He was familiar with the model of furnace I had and repaired the problem quickly and efficiently. I would call Gillece again in the future for any problems that I couldn’t handle.

Scott Christian-plumber, came to our house same day called. It was close to quitting time but he fixed a drain pipe that was leaking water. He was so nice and did quality work. Would definitely recommend him. He gets 5 stars.

They charged a $95 service fee to look at the heater and said they would send an estimate. They left us hanging and we had to fix the heater ourselves. They refused to refund the service fee even though it took them 19 days to generate an estimate we never received. Never again.

Great experience overall for a leaky copper pipe, which seems to be a common issue in our area due to hard water. Service was completed within 36 hours of first phone call (this was not an emergency). Kaleb did the work. He was fantastic, explained what he was doing, why he was doing it and made suggestions about how to approach this issue if we experience it in other parts of the house. On top of him doing great work, he was a great guy, exactly what you like when you welcome someone else into your home to fix something.

I don't know what kind of fly by night trash this company hires, but there is no reason to refer this company to anyone. Some bum named scott went to my mother's home upon request of a smell of sewage. Instead of real answers, he said it would cost $20,000 to repair and did not say if there was a leak. Thats fine if you do not wanna give real answers and try to take advantage of single women homeowners, but he went a step further. The access panel to the tub is in a closet in a bedroom with a dresser next to the door. On the dresser sits a flat screen tv. This bum knocked it over, put it back where it was, saw the crack, and just unplugged the tv, without telling my mother. Then proceeds with his second rate inspection and looked my mother in the eye and charged her $95 with no answers to our plumbing issue. This company hires employees with no ethics and it's owners have no standards.

Our hot water tank stopped working while we were in the hospital with the birth of our child. We got home and needed a hot water tank ASAP, I am thankful for Gillece being quick and helpful during this time!

At my age of 79 years old and someone who always has a concerned as home owner about the level of repair and care being done to my home I am always careful and particular who I choice to provide services. The Gillece plumber, Mike D, performed with the highest level of skills, attitude and also kept me informed of every detail. That also is important to me. I must also must if Gillece has employed such a quality of workers, I have to be impressed with Gillece management and to rely on them as I no longer can do the repairs I use to do myself.

This is not a review of Scott Christian, the service technician, whowas punctual, professional in his knowledge, and pleasant to talkto as a fellow human being.This is a review of his estimate given on 10/23 in hopes that he isnot the one who sets this absurd pricing structure.A little over $8000...no not $800...$8000 to fix two simple leaks in a kitchen sink, and run new lines from easily accessible existing linesfor a new washer and laundry tub with sink. Then, tie laundry tuband washer drainage into existing main which is clogged. Obviously unclog or snake the main which is advertised as a $93 special on Gillece website. Also to replace 3' section of plastic pipe on other main that kitchen and bathroom drains into.Even the guy from Mr Rooter who came an hour later, who's estimate of $1200 for the same work (& admitted his was a little high, but that he has no control over his company's pricing structure) was shocked.If its any consolation, after discussing for awhile, the price went down to$2000 if I left a few things out, but I want it done once and correctly.My advice, stay self employed Scott if Gillece encourages or mandates these price gouging tactics!

No wonder why there was a lawsuit filled in 2020 against this company. Very unprofessional, they have an emergency service available if I pay $385 but no technicians for 2 weeks! I was also thinking to attach the link from other resources about this company but what matters their own people review this company I guess. At the end again I will never recommend this company to any of my friends or families not even to enemies!!!

I am usually not to post reviews but was compelled to do so after my experience today. I called Gillece for a oil furnace issue. First red flag is when the woman on the phone said that before technicians arrive they need a $90 diagnostic fee. I foolishly agreed. Their technician called and I paid the $90 fee. They completed the diagnostic and told me they would send options to fix the issue. 30 mins later, I receive 4 options ranging from $13k-$20k to fix the oil furnace! I have dealt with heat issues in the past but looking at their quotes was mind boggling!I called another company, they sent a technician in and we were able to fix the problem in 3 hrs for $300. I would ask the management at Gillece to stop fleecing hard working Americans. I felt all they wanted to do was collect the $90 ‘diagnostic fee’ and not do anything. Hence they sent out the astronomical estimates.Folks please be aware of this company trying to dupe you due to their unethical practices.

Ron and Tom were fantastic technicians. They both went above and beyond to explore all aspects of our problem, needing a new furnace. Gillece also provided this second opinion at no charge, which was nice. Ron took the time to take apart the furnace to show the affected areas and went on and taught me maintenance tips. We have young kids and Tom went so far as to test for CO2 leaks to make sure the dangerous gas wasn’t seeping into our home airways. They recommended the same furnace model as another respected competing company, but the reason we didn’t choose Gillece is that the price quote was more than three times their competitor’s. But I wanted to leave this review because Ron and Tom at Gillece went way above and beyond and deserve a raise and praise for treating this customer the way they did.

Same day service for a replacement furnace on one that was 40 years old and needed a lot of work to repair properly. The service manager Ron was very honest and knowledgable. Once he helped me decide from various options, whether to fix or buy a new unit, including various financing options, 2 installers (Dave and Dave) came to install the new furnace that day. They worked very neatly and were extremely polite. Though my condo is a 4th story walk up, they did not complain or bemoan the stairs. They did an excellent job. I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because my old furnace is in the hallway and will need to be picked up for removal at a later time. Luckily the unit next to mine is vacant right now so this isn't too big of an issue. Overall an easy experience.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They replaced my sewer line in 2019 and the work was warrantied. At the end of June, I began to have sewer back ups in my basement. Each time I called for a service appointment, I would stay home and wait only to be stood up. I have been rescheduled SIX times. Its August 5, I still have sewage backing up in my basement and after cancelling at rescheduling me six times, they are blaming me for not being available on Tuesday while on a work trip. I wonder if their management would like to live with sewage in their basement. Using them was the biggest regret of my life.

I recently hired Gillece Services to perform some work at my home. For the plumbing work, Gillece Services charged 3x for the same job I hired a plumber for at my old house 1 year prior. Unfortunately, I was not able to get another plumber in sooner than Gillece. Don’t hire this company unless it’s an emergency. They charge significantly more than their competitors but are the most responsive.Update 1: For clarification, the plumber provided two options for performing the work. One was around $2500 to replace an outdoor spigot in the same location as the broken spigot (a three-four hour job with about $50 in materials if I did it myself, probably 1-2 hours for a plumber).Update 2: The owner responded to my comment they cannot find me in their database. My name should certainly be in their database as I had used them for plumbing and HVAC work. To Gillece Services: please give me a call with the number you have on file if you would really like to discuss rather than posting a generic response.Update 3: I did not realize just my first name was shown and Gillece could not look my number up in their database. I called and left a message with the admin on Saturday for one of the managers to call me back.Update 4: Gillece did not have one of their managers call me back.

On the eve of the July 4th holiday we unfortunately had a serious sewage backup in our laundry room. We immediately called Gillece 24 hr service # and explained the issue. Being a Holiday we were pleasantly surprised when they called us that am of July 4th and Eric came to the rescue! He was pleasant and professional and immediately was able to identify the problems and knowledgeable as to what was needed to correct them, We discussed the options and determined what had to be done. He took his time to explain everything even though he had family obligations being it a holiday. The next day Tim and Chad came and began the process of repair followed by Harvey and Nate the following day which became a full week of difficult and stenuous reconstruction of our main sewer line. The entire Team was always pleasant and well mannered and most importantly were extremely knowledgeable and took great care and pridein the business of repairing our issue. This company is completely dishonest and unreliable. I called on a Friday and the operator told me someone would be out that day. Waited all day just to have the operator call me back and cancel and rescheduled me for the next day. The next day waited all day again just to have them cancel on me again. Spoke with them asked if I should call another plumber due to the fact they canceled on me twice ,they assured me that I would be the first customer the following morning and once again they canceled. The company came promptly when we reported our sewer line backed up during laundry day. They discovered the outside pipe was choked with tree roots and that they would have to excavate. Although I could have done without such an expensive repair, they did an excellent job of the repairs over two days, plus a third for the county inspection and filling of the hole. All three of the technicians who responded to my home performed well and did an excellent job of keeping us up to date as they evaluated the problem and planned solutions.

Tako was here within 12 hours of calling Gillece. Although he didn't have the best news about the repairs needed for our unit, he was knowledgeable and personable. He worked to get us the best cost scenario and answered all of our questions.

I had my annual furnace check today. Dave (the service person) had a multitude of gadgets (meters, monitors, etc.) that he used to test my furnace. He is the first service person I had that used so many monitors and did so many checks, and at the end I felt my furnace had a truly great check. He also checked how much gas was being emitted to burn and found that the gauge was set too high (waste of energy & $$$) and set it to the proper level (I look forward to saving $$$ on my gas bill). He also checked to ensure there was no leakage out of any of the metal pipe joints to the furnace or break in seals . This is the first time Dave ever came to my home, but when it's time for my air conditioner check (as well as future furnace checks, etc.), I will be requesting that he be my service person. He was a great service person and an all-around nice guy.

We purchased a water pressure regulator from Gillece since they wanted to charge us over $2,000 to install it and ended up paying $600 for a $50 part. 1 month later, we are now having to replace the water pressure regulator because it's defected. I will never use Gillece again and every positive review is due to the fact that they plead with their customers to write a good review so they can receive a gift card.

They charge a service fee to do initial visit, just to quote you 1000s of dollars more for services. Call yoir local plumber,hvac or electrician you will save tons of money compared to what this company charges. They don't repair existing items they only try to sell you new. I had my power lines replaced for 1/3 of what they quoted me by an actual electrician. And they tried to tell me my boiler was shot. I had the pilot replaced by another company and it fired right up. Saved 8000 that they quoted me for a new boiler. Trust me when I say this company takes you to the cleaner.

The man who came to service the house rang our doorbell upon arrival. He then let me know that there might be an issue with the Deed to our house (we just bought this house a month ago). He then told me he would go speak with dispatch to see what they could do to resolve the issue. I went upstairs to look for a deed or any other paperwork to possibly resolve the issue which took about 5 minutes. Mind you I am thinking he may still be on the phone as I did not hear the doorbell ring agin. So I went to speak with him once more and he had already left... without a word! We called afterward and he claimed to have knocked but like....we have a doorbell...that he used the first time.. I am just so confused and I this that this is very unprofessional. We are still without running water and this seemed to me an easy fix. Very unhappy and we will be going elsewhere.

THEY ARE NOT INSURANCE FRIENDLY! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF IF YOU ARE YOUNG AND AN ELDERLY. We called them because they are 24/7. We had water leak into basement and furnace. They sent someone out same day. We met Ron “the manager”. He was very determined to “show you the deals” and “let me show you our deal book”. He stated it after every sentenced while trying to explain what our “problems” were. At that point we should have known they are a money hungry company. We needed things fixed. For a price. They overcharged for the work being done and are known to rip people off. It’s all over the news. (Mind you we found out after they had already started working and taking things out- but again we did need our furnace fixed. We had Geno and David service our stuff. Ron claimed we had gas “leaking” but allowed us to stay overnight with a “leak” gas. We called PeopleGas that same day after we had signed papers and they said we didn’t have any gas leak or else we should have been evacuated. Also warning us about Gillece. Mentioning gas readers can be faked and set (which they showed me how it was done) so it can make a ticking noise , which Ron had done. We were stuck with the work being done. They knew we had water damaged and home owners but refused to cooperate and send our insurance an invoice of the work being done because they know they overcharged and overpriced. Could not break down the work being done including the price. They (Lauren- who is in charge of the paperwork) avoided all phone calls from both my insurance company and myself. What I learned…1. Never Call Gillece Unless You Really Need Too2. Gas Leak Readers Can Be Faked3. Never Sign Papers without Reading Fine Print4. THEY ARE NOT INSURANCE FRIENDLY!5. They still fixed the “damage”. For an arm and a leg. Even maybe a kidney.

Oh my goodness. The level of professionalism and awesomeness by Melanie and Hal was beyond what I was expecting. It’s always nerve wracking (for me) to have strangers in my home but I felt so at ease with both of them. They helped explain to me what was happening and even from the first meeting to work on the electricity of my new (but old) home, I felt confident in what they were doing. I can’t recommend them as people and the company more. 10/10.

The service member (Ron) was great. Extremely helpful and informative of what he was doing and what the issues were.My main issue was the cost. I only needed a replacement Contactor and was charged over $1000. When searching, these parts seem to only be anywhere from $10-75.

Dylan, the electrician, spent multiple hours working on our home which was previously wired improperly. He was very knowledgeable, personable, and professional. He took his time and answered all of my questions for a very great price. He provided quality work for the bare minimum costs and was upfront about his estimate. I would recommend him to anyone.

This was by far the best company I have had perform service on my home. I placed an emergency appointment request for my AC unit later in the evening on a Saturday, and they came out first thing Sunday morning. Very open and transparent communication, they had to replace the entire AC unit and other parts, and it was done quickly and efficiently. At first they said everything would be available and ready to install on Monday (the following day), and even though their installation team got caught up in another call and weren't able to make it out for that day, they had someone not only deliver the parts on Monday anyway, but they also provided me with a temporary AC unit until the team got there on Tuesday. The techs that came out to install it were fantastic. Professional, courteous, on time, answered all of my questions, etc. They are also doing a wonderful job communicating with my home warranty company to help with that process as well. Can not recommend this company enough, and I will be calling them for any future service requests that may come up!

Hal Callithen knows his stuff! After having 2 “handymen” from a local chain hardware store attempt to hang my chandelier with no success, I called Gillece. Hal was there in a few hours and diagnosed complex hidden wiring in my dining room that I inherited from the prior owner. Hal was professional, thorough, and educated me on this issue. Ask for Hal. You won’t be disappointed!

I do NOT recommend this plumbing company! They overcharged my mother for a simple faucet leak stating she needed a new faucet (which was less than 2 years old). The charge was $987.56! I contacted them to dispute this charge and was refunded $500. Make sure you read the contract, you have three days to cancel. We had also contacted this company a week before to have an outside faucet fixed and the amount was ironically—$987.56! Consumers beware before you contact this company!

Adam C was prompt and very courteous when he arrived at my home to make the necessary repairs to a malfunctioning natural gas line in my fireplace. He was very professional and I was confident he would be able to complete the work needed. His service was quick and efficient and I appreciate his quality of work. I had David S. help me today with my oil furnace. He was nice, knowledgeable, and determined to figure out what was wrong with my furnace. He figured it out and had it completed finished within an hour or so, then checked for carbon monoxide which was a great addition I didn't think about. I highly recommend!

I’ve used Gillece twice before and had good experiences both time so I had a electrical project that I wanted to use them again. The project was to install for lights in my drop ceiling which I had already purchased the lights wire and all the materials needed to do the project so this was to be labor only. I explained all of this to the office and they sent a technician to my home. The technician told me it would take about two hours and he was going to cut me a break on the price which was $3200. Keep in mind, I’ve purchased All of the materials in advance. That comes to $1600 an hour labor. They are out of their mind! That is taking Advantage and because of this I will never use them again

We had a break in our drain line and the workers did a fantastic job. From the beginning it was professional, with knowledgeable workers who did everything they could to give the best quality products and service. Harvey saved us. He did everything he could to get the job done. He answered every question and kept us up on the progress. He went over and beyond. There was Tim and Bill and Joey. All who did a great job getting everything back to working order! They all get 5 stars ! The project is finished now. It all began with the input and guidance of Service Manager Ed Stamerra. I'm very happy with Gillece. I called for electrical work I needed for my kitchen remodel and they were able to accommodate me right away. The Office was good at reminding me of my appointment and when someone would arrive. Tiffany arrived on time and was very professional. After walking through my repairs she came up with creative solutions to help me stay on budget and was able to complete the work same day. The following day Mike came out to cap my gas line and he also did a great job.. I recommend Tiffany, Mike and Gillece and I will call again.

So the repair man for my hot water tank shows up mind you I asked if they did work on got water tanks to get the woman expressed yes the check on my problem would be $95. The gentleman walked across the threshold of my door and told me that they do not repair hot water tanks. I go outside to call the company and he's already called in... Shocker my got water tank is unrepairable and they are more than happy to install a new one. So why if you do not do the work schedule an appointment to wasn't time and money. . I've used them once before outrageous cost but they fixed the problem. I would never recommend this company.

Tiffany was awesome!!! She fixed my crazy old old wiring that nobody else could figure out! She took my upstairs/downstairs hallway lights and not only got them to work but was able to make them 3 way switches. She went above and beyond A+++++

I've been wanting to amend this review for over year. While is true Gillece finished the job, it wasn't before they convinced me that two brand new dryers were defective because it just couldn't be the quality of their work, right? Well after two weeks of dirty clothes piling up in my house, I still didn't have a working dryer. Gillece kept insisting that It wasn't them. However after much prodding and arguing, I convinced them to try one final step that they swore wouldn't work, which was replace the entire line and not just to splice the line. But because they already charged me the quoted price for the splice they didn't want to replace the entire line and thus losing money. Well, when they replaced the entire line, low and behold the dryer turned on!! Gillece refused to believe the customer, continued to tout their decades of years of experience, when in fact they were wrong and the customer was right. This experience was completely stressful, unnecessary and costly. I retuned two perfectly working dryers because Gillece insisted it wasn't them. It was too much and frankly unbelievable. I'm not saying their work is always awful, but in this situation they put me and my family through so much just so they can save on cost and not abide by the misquote. Rough two weeks.

I had electrolysis going through my water line because there was something off with the ground wiring on an electrical unit. The plumber (Scott Christian) initially explained what needed to happen, and then called the electrician(Hal Callitten), to see his availability in doing the electrical part of the work, since I needed both plumbing and electrical done. Both identified the problem, worked diligently, and fixed my issue. The price I paid was substantially lower than the price I was quoted at after the scope of work to fix the issue was done. Some of the best service that I’ve experienced from quality of work to the reasonable cost.

Furnace went out on a snowy day. Hal showed up within the hour. Diagnosed the problem quickly. The furnace was beyond repair and over it's life span. He had the furnace and heat on in about four hours on a Saturday. Couldnt be more happy with the service would call again.

I'd like to begin by stating that I have serious breathing and asthma issues and when our A/C stopped working we unfortunately at first went to some other company and even in 3 days could not figure out the problem and my husband and I had to stay in a hotel because the house was too warm and I could not breath, once the first company just left me dry I contacted Gillece and I am so glad I did. The service from beginning to end was impeccable, extremely professional. When Kyle and Tom arrived they not only were able to figure out the issue and resolve it but they were very informative explaining to me how things worked and they checked everything to ensure nothing else was wrong. They were so knowledgeable and professional that I was overwhelmed. They were able to resolve the issue within a few hours. If you don't know who to contact you can't go wrong with Gillece. Also they take care of everything not just A/C, air filration, humidifiers, air duct cleaning, water heater etc. It's a one stop shop and Kyle and Tom were experienced in all the areas. Again thank Kyle and Tom, hope to see you soon when we have the Air Filtration system installed.

They did show up when they said they were going to and after a quick inspection he seemed to determine the issue with my electric. However when told about the work that he said needed done I was quoted a price tag of 10,000 dollars!!!! I proceeded to talk to other electricians about the work and most were absolutely as shocked as I was and told me that the work and materials at most should be around 5-6 thousand. I also priced out materials to do the job myself and found that I could do it for around 1500. When I called back to find out why they were so high on their estimate I was told that the technicians set their own prices. Basically I paid them 65 dollars for them to tell me they were going to grossly over charge me. Don't waste your time. If zero stars was an option that would still be to generous.

Gillece sent someone to my home named Ron for an emergency HVAC call. As soon as he arrived he started quoting me for additional work that I did not want or need. All we needed was a replacement air conditioning unit. I told him I needed to call my boyfriend, the home owner, to discuss pricing. He kept telling me not to call him and encouraged me to sign up for a loan through Ally Financial to pay for the overpriced work he wanted us to go with. From there I sent him on his way. We ended up with no A/C unit and had to shop elsewhere. I have never seen someone so blatantly attempt to sell unwanted services to a woman home alone. I would compare him to a sleazy used car salesman. If I could give Gillece 0 stars I would do so happily. My suggestion is to RUN don’t walk from Gillece and their sleazy business practices. I know Gillece checks these reviews and will say they can’t find me in their database which is because my boyfriend set my appointment and not a valid excuse for their behavior. I am actively consulting my attorney and am considering legal action at this time.

2 years ago I had a plumbing company come that advertises only $100 for drain opening. It was a disaster. The tech opened the drain but talked me into a $900 service then said we need a total repair totaling $12,000! I could not get him to leave. Last year I called Gillece. Took advantage of the $93 drain opening. The tech did his job, didn't push, and I was very pleased. I called yesterday to schedule another drain opening, and surprisingly they are able to come today. So far I definitely would recommend their services. Also the office staff are very kind, patient and helpful.

Tried to schedule a plumber to come on Monday to look at a shower smell, they couldn't make had to reschedule. Scheduled for a Friday, they said coming in an hour. Forgot to call again saying they were late after 2 hrs. Came in and claimed it was a gas leak problem and had to replace whole system. Call my gas company to see if leak was real, gas company showed no sign of leak

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They are con artists! They rip off and steal from the elderly! Last week one of the techs went to my parents home. Pulled a toilet, replaced the wax ring and reset the toilet. Changed them $1000.00 dollars!! I am a general contractor in another state. That is a $400 job at best. They have so many bad reviews on other sites, it's sickening! They have also had class action law suits. Again do not use these crooks!

My parents had a clog a few years ago without telling anyone & called this company. Gillece claimed the pipe was leaking through the kitchen ceiling & had the entire kitchen ceiling/walls demolished along with cabinets. They scammed my parents over 7k for a simple $100 clog that could of been fixed with a professional snake. These guys are the worst and scam artists. Do not call them for anything! You have been warned!

Ed was fabulous with adjusting my water heater. In the past Gillece redid the gas lines in my house when I had a gas leak. They also replaced my sump pump. Always excellent work and friendly service. Highly recommend.

14 yr old ac died had a technician here within two hours. By 430 I had a new ac system installed. This is definitely a highend top of the line company you get what you pay for. The warranty is fantastic and the technicians are quick, educated and skilled. I definitely received the services I paid for!! Installation was fantastic they even returned after I thought they where done to install new metal at the top of the new ac duct system. Like I said you get what you pay for and once you pay you will see what separates this company from the rest.

Steven Thompson Sr from Gillece, exceptional customer service!!! I called Gillece when I noticed no hot water and the pilot light was out on my 13 yr old hot water tank, and it would not stay lit. When Steve arrived he was very thorough and diagnosed the issue was the gas valve. He discussed all my options from replacing the part to replacing the tank. Once I made the decision to replace, he worked late into the evening to install my new gas hot water heater. Was honest and explained everything from start to finish. And pointed out the possibility that one section of pipe may leak if glue doesn't set... and when it did slightly leak, he was back at my house first thing next day to fix and replace that section. Very knowledgable and friendly professional that I would highly recommend. Thx Steve!

I had a service call with John Secrist to replace an old electric dryer receptacle with something more modern, as well as the circuit. I also had several 2-prong outlets replaced with 3-prong outlets, and installed a gfci outlet in the bathroom. John was able to provide me with different options, depending on how much work I wanted done. Very professional and the work was done in a few hours.

Advertised a Free Furnace with AC install. Called them out. Was charged $95 when all I wanted was a quote. They came out told me that wasn't the actual promotion that it was BOGO %50 Off. Called the main office becaaue of the false advertising, and they came back.out the next day to quote a free furnace. When they left I had to consider costs and when I called back to get a breakdown of the quote I was told another technician had to come out to do that. They were going to charge me another $95 for the technician to come out and talk to me about the quote which they should have already done and that would take a MONTH before they had a free slot. I asked to speak to a manager (who was out that day apparently) and I have since waited over a week for a return call. These people are a scam.

We had a new HVAC installed at our home last year by Gillece. The great part about it was we were living in another state at the time and they managed the work professionally and fairly without us is residence. Extremely trustworthy and they thoroughly communicated with us throughout the process.Now that we are back at home we are continuing to use their seasonal services for a system review and preventative maintenance. Of all the services and contractors we use Gillece is far and away the best. They communicate when they are going to be there and they show up as promised. If there are delays they call you. If they need a part they get it and return promptly, even if it is in the evening or the weekend. They get the work done!We really appreciate their service technicians. They are kind, courteous, professional and explain in detail what they have done and ensure all of our questions are answered. It is great to know that we have someone on our team that we can trust. It seems that these days there are plenty of companies that say they can do the work but not many that can deliver. Gillece delivers!

Horrible scheduling. Overpriced.I scheduled due to a pipe under my sink in basement backing up. They scheduled me on Tuesday from 8:00am-12:00pm, I received a phone calling at 11:55am informing me the service man is stuck at another job site and it be early afternoon. At 3:00pm I received a phone call that they were going to have to reschedule. Rescheduled the next morning 9:00am-10:00am and I would be the first customer of the morning guaranteed. At 9:45am received the phone call that again the service technician was stuck at another house and was running late. What happened to the guarantee?? No apologies. I had already taken two mornings off from work and had to try and have someone available to be at the houseI was informed they were unable to get a hold of the original technician but Steve (who was standing right beside her) would be on his way. I was told he would be there in 45minutes. I questioned this since they were in Bridgeville which is an hour and half from my house. Finally at 1:45pm (2 hours later) and 6 hours later then the GUARANTEED TIME, Steve (technician) arrived. Steve was a very polite and talkative technician. Steve started working. It was $93 or free if unable to clog which is what was advertised. I was informed the snaking wasn’t working and I was going to have to pay for them to use different equipment to clean the line. I was told that if it didn’t work they would deduct the $1900. I was told that in most cases this would fix it, but every house is different.The next day and $1900.00 later I was told it was not successful that the next step is for them to dig because there was a broken pipe and unable to clear the clog.I was giving varied quotes due to how I was going to pay but between $6,000 to 8,000. This was to dig a hole 4ft x 4ft x 3ft hole and fix a small section of pipe. This seemed a lot of money. There was no Place where they showed a $1900 deduction. There was “maybe we should call your local sewage company and work with them to fix this”. I was told to call them on Monday and let them know how I was going to pay and when I wanted them to start.After a restless night of sleep, I decided to talk to my neighbors about if they had any issues. Both informed me that they have had some local plumbers come in and replace their whole sewage line for $2000-$4000.So I called for a second opinion and thank goodness I did. The local plumber showed up at the scheduled time (actually he was a few minutes early). I informed that I Had called Gillece and everything that technician Steve has done and the information he told me. When I discussed that the break in the line was 100ft our from my house, local plumber stopped me and told me he would bring in the local sewage company. Five minutes after leaving my house local plumber game me a phone number to call to schedule an appointment with local sewage company. They were there in less than 30 minutes. I found out that the break in the line isn’t even on my property. The local sewage company will be fixing the break for FREE. He was surprised to hear the quote from GIllece for just a small section of pipe.Charging 3 times what it should cost!!!!I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone unless you want to flush money down to toilet.

I called them four times to fix a furnace issue from 9pm until 10:30pm. I was told repeatedly that I would be hearing from someone, but I never did. They advertise they provide 24/7 service, but they don’t! I won’t be calling Gillece again.

The techs where very friendly and knowledgeable. Only complaint I have is the service tech quoted us for a Goodman furnace; however, when the install techs arrived they had a Maytag. Not sure if the quality of both are the same but you should know in advance that Goodman doesn't make a trailer furnace? Overall installation went well. Not blaming the service tech. Must be management not communicating properly.

Steven Thomson with Gillece came to our home and did a very thorough and professional job getting our sewer back up cleaned up and working as intended. He came in with an inspection camera at our request and checked out what was going on. Turns out we had some tree roots growing in our pipes and clogging the waste. The very next day he was able to get in there and clean out the roots professionally. He was very thorough throughout the entire process at the same time keeping everything inside our home clean, always wearing boot covers and gloves. The before and after pictures he provided were night and day difference. 100% would recommend, especially with the service provided by Steve.

He wore a mask, gloves and plastic foot coverings and after assessing the problem, went to work. He was here for about 35 minutes, start to finish. We just used Gillece Services for the first time and are very happy with the care received. They were able to schedule us promptly, and our technician Scott arrived on time and was very courteous, professional, and obvious knowledgable in his craft. He promptly cleared a clogged tub drain, replaced two shower heads, one of which was very corroded and hard to remove, and he advised us on next steps for whole house water filtration. I have nothing but good things to say, First off, my burst water pipe occurred on Christmas Day, I called several places and Gillece was the only company I was able to talk to. They called me at 6:30 AM the next morning to follow up and. I had Kaleb from Gillece out by the afternoon and had fully restored service within a couple of hours which wasn’t easy due to the location of the burst pipe. I appreciate Kaleb’s attention to detail and professionalism; he certainly saved us from spending another night in a hotel!

Had Steve Thompson come to my house he is very thorough and trustworthy we put a camera in my line he showed me that I had roots and multiple shifts in the lines we are taking care of the problem for good that way I never have this backup again I would call the lease and ask for Steve in the future

We had a pipe burst on Christmas Eve. Bajro M. came today to fix the issue. He was very friendly and helpful. Made sure to show me the problems and what needed done. He provided great service.

Needed an attic ventilation fan replaced. They rescheduled on me three times, each time informing me the afternoon of the appointment that the tech couldn’t make it out (different excuse each time, tech was sick, death in the family, etc.). Said the fourth appointment wasn’t guaranteed either so I cancelled completely. Would absolutely not recommend.

I had a leak in my laundry room and I thought it was coming from my roof because the water was coming from a roof vent, I was told I had a plumbing issue, so I called Gillece, first off the costumer service ladies were so understanding I was having a bad week and kept canceling my appointment..I finally got them out to my place and Scott and Tom couldn’t have been nicer, they found the leak and took care of it and made sure everything was working properly and no more leaks Scott even vacuumed my house and made sure everything was cleaned to my liking..And the two of them were hilarious!!! After a bad week with work and a leaky pipe the two of them made it all better with their great personality and making me laugh!! Gillece recently sent a service person to our home to work on some gutter drains which had become clogged. We had seen their advertisement for drain cleaning and were aware that ours backed up during storms.In contrast to a previous visit, the technician arrived within an hour of when they said he would; Adam was polite and competent; he cleared one drain quite quickly, but the other one took significantly longer. He filled out the necessary paperwork once he was finished and they charged us exactly what they said they would! Overall, this was a very positive experience.

We had a broken pipe and sewage backed up in our basement, Gillece Services came to the rescue. They did a great job, I can’t speak highly enough about each person that came to our home. Brhett, Eric, Jimmy, Tim, Brandon, and Tom. They all were polite, worked hard and never complained about the job or the heat. It took 5 days to get the job done, they cleaned up each evening, gave us an update before they left and let us know what would happen the next day. This company is so shady!! They will not provide a written estimate, will not work with insurance companies and want $9k to replace AC system. Do your home work and call around. Most places are half the cost.

I bought a house about a month ago and it had several electrical service needs. One or 2 services of them were critical and the rest were just nuisances. Hal is the man! He came and fixed 10 different things over 2 visits. He addressed the 2 critical services, including: perfectly addressing an electrical panel issue identified during the home inspection and updating a basement outlet in preparation for a new electric dryer. Additionally, he professionally fixed all the nuisance issues too, including: getting my side porch light/fan fixture to come on, inverting 2 switches that were installed upside down, installing a new disk-to-dawn porch light fixture, replacing 3 dimmer switches, and installing a new wireless switch and fixture in my coat closet so no wiring was needed (and no drywall damage which typically accompanies this type of work)! I finally feel like I have a new home. He was very personable and professional explaining every service and the costs. He was even able to save me money with their discounts. If you need electrical work done at your home, I would highly recommend Hal and his work ethic.Regarding my feelings towards Gillese, on the other hand, I have mixed emotions. For my first 2 attempts at scheduling electrical services, I had difficulty getting a worker here, even though I had confirmed scheduled appointments. It reminded me of that Seinfeld episode where he made a rental reservation but they had no car reserved for him, ugh! Anyway, thanks to Marie, Lauren, and Nicki I was finally connected to Hal, a God-send! Gillese’s front office staff are also very professional and personable, understanding my frustrations and making me feel heard.My only complaint was the price. It was expensive. But, think about it like taking your car to the dealership where you know that all the work done will be completed professionally according to standards and not done haphazardly, like buying a house with upside down light switches, hall closet with a fixture but no switch, etc. Blessings to them all!Grant Harrison

I had a broken pipe above my water heater. I called Gillece and they sent their service manager to help this damsel in distress. Ed fixed the leak, and pointed out other problems in my basement. I had them fixed also at a reasonable monthly payment. Ed really looked out for me and my family. I would recommend this company to anyone that is reading this.

My A/C went out on Thursday, and I reached out to Gillece Friday afternoon. Within a few hours of my call, I had a tech on site inspecting my A/C unit. edit two years later: had the very same problem with our sewer backing up, called M J Flaherty Plumbing & Heating and had the very same service (over 4 hours labor alone) performed for less than HALF of what Gillece charged. And they were able to diagnose the issue to help prevent it reoccurring.Eric diagnosed a major clog in our main sewer line when had sewage backed up in our basement shower and zero flow from the house.the power snake could not clear it so a $1500 high pressure power flush was required.through the entire process, Eric showed me the camera video and explained in clear terms what we were dealing with.he was very experienced and never made assumptions or promises.i am a mechanical engineer, and while in no way do i pretend to be an expert on plumbing, i always felt confident what i was being told was the truth.yes, it was expensive, but our sewer was fixed in less than three hours.this included having the high pressure power flush truck come (Chad was the technician). the two of them were professional, courteous and made sure to not damage anything while protecting the floors with heavy plastic sheeting. when finished they cleaned up and we had very little work to do other than a light mop of floors and vacuuming.i don't know if the price i paid was average, higher or lower that normal, but i am very glad to have had Eric facilitate the job. he is very very good at what he does.

We were trying to get someone out to look at a sewage backup. Despite being on his way home, Kaleb offered to come on Friday night to diagnose. Urgent issue was fixed Saturday morning. Kaleb and team were courteous and professional.

I live in NC and called to get an estimate and to see where a leak was occurring in our one PA home. I drove 10 hours to arrive at the location, received 2-3 confirmation appointments of which 1 phone call I gave my credit card info. After ALL that trouble I received a call that our house was outside their service area. Had I been told that upfront, I could have called another plumber and saved 20 hours of driving and over $300 in gas. Totally unprofessional for this company not to figure the distance from my first phone call to them!

We hired Gillece to replace the outlet so we could hook up a new drier and they did an amazing job. They were very responsive with contacting me and scheduling me quickly. When the technician came out he was very knowledgeable and fast to get the job done. He even was very kind to be careful not to wake up the napping toddler upstairs while he was in the house and fully hooked up the drier for me without being asked to. It was a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of home services.

I am Cindy's husband. I had a major toilet clog problem today on a 40 year old toilet. Owen came out, unclogged it, didn't charge for the service call and installed a new American Standard toilet. I won a heating/AC unit from a charity auction. Gillece reached out to me to set things up. I won the auction on Monday and it was installed fully mid day Saturday. The people they sent out were incredibly polite and professional. When they were installing the system the techs offered me some of the pizza they ordered. Overall, I spent less than half of what it would normally cost, the money went to charity, and it was installed quickly. I can't think of a better service.

Great service in an emergency. I knew before I called that we were going to have to have a significant amount of work done. The team came out the next day, evaluated, and came back with exactly what I knew we needed and nothing additional piled on. The work was started the next day and completed faster than expected. No messes during or after the service.

I scheduled an “A/C tune up” since I had bought my home recently and not had the unit checked out. Mike and Tom came by as scheduled and immediately got to checking it out and also took a look at my furnace, explaining everything along the way. They provided peace of mind and educated me on how to maintain my appliances, and discussed options for when/if something were to happen to them. Gillece saves Christmas! Our oven quit working before Thanksgiving and we didn't want a repeat for Christmas. After many order delays, we received a new stove. Unfortunately, the delivery guys were unable to disconnect the gas line so we called a few plumbers. None of them could send a technician before Christmas. Then I remembered the Gillece jingle from their commercial. A young lady named Patience started the process and she was wonderful! She was able to set up a technician for today (Saturday) and there was no additional cost due to the weekend. She truly seemed to care about our issue. The technician that arrived was a young man named Mike and he was amazing! Very courteous and respectful from the start and he knew his stuff. He was able to remove the line within seconds using proper techniques that the delivery guys did not use in their attempts. He updated the valve, did a gas leak check, and installed the oven. In some of the tips he shared, he was humble enough to give credit to some of the more experienced technicians at Gillece. Now I do wish the cost was a little less, but costs everywhere and on everything has gone up. Nonetheless, Gillece got the job done right and professionally. If Mike and Patience represents the other workers at Gillece, then it is an awesome company!

We hired Gillece to do a full replacement of our plumbing lines, tearing out the old copper and replacing everything with Pex. While this required a lot of holes to be cut into our walls and ceilings. The workers were always conscious about keeping the dust contained and cleaning up after each day of work. DON'T CALL GILLECETook them about 3 weeks to complete a job that was supposed to be done in a day. They have very poor customer service. We've had to call them, to schedule various jobs instead of them calling us. I guess they were just going to leave the job unfinished if we didn't call. Their excuse was they were short on electricians. Well then, stop assigning jobs to the electricians until the other jobs were complete. I mean fully completed! We've asked to speak with the manager multiple times and told they would give him/her our information, but never received a call back. They asked for a review, this is an honest one... Don't call Gillece!

A few years ago, I called Gillece for plumbing services because my basement plumbing lines were having issues. They scheduled an appointment with me, and nobody showed up that day. Gillece called me that evening to reschedule for the next day, but the same thing happened again. I gave them one more chance, but after the third consecutive day of being on their schedule and nobody coming again, I cancelled my appointment.I tried using their service again this week because my drains were overflowing. I was hoping to see if it might be better managed and scheduled, but the same thing happened to me again. Gillece called me this morning to say I was on their schedule for today, and they called to reschedule AGAIN. This is poor management of scheduling, poor consideration of customers' time, and simply not professional. I will not use them again.Tri-County was able to get a plumber out the very same day with no scheduling issues, and their prices were lower than what Gillece quoted me this week.

Price gouging! I wasted $95 for a tech to come to my house and way overpriced my estimate. $3700 for a new water tank. Ridiculous!
I called another plumber next day and they did the work for $1000.
Save yourself the $95 estimate fee and call someone else. They should be reported!

We called Gillece after a failed plumbing DIY. From the woman who answered the phones, to the consultation, and the actual repair, the customer service was OUT OF THIS WORLD. When it comes to the actual repairs, they were done quickly, well done, and honestly this is the first time I've had someone come work at my house that I didn't have to clean up after! For a bit of a nightmare situation, they made me feel at ease and came up with multiple solutions to fit our budget. It was an amazing experience!

Useless company. Have a macerating toilet in basement leaking from the seal out the back. Told them on the phone make model and part that would be needed to complete the repair. Involves taking the toilet out to fix, which I did not feel comfortable with.Guy shows up, no part, almost breaks the toilet pulling on it to try to get it to seal without removing the toilet. Next thing he is quoting me to tear out the wall, put a door in the wall for access, and redo the plumbing.$2200!!!!Sent him on his way. Waste of $95 for them to even come out.Luckily I knew better than to trust him. $30 part. I understand a couple hundred to pull the toilet repair and put back, but not $2200.Outrageous. Run away from this company.

I confirmed with them that they could provide an estimate for me for certain services, and when they got to my property, they could not give me an estimate for the work that needed done. But they still charge me for estimates. Not a great way to do business.

Had a toilet handle broke, they assured me someone would be out Sunday morning. Their technician showed up Monday at 6 PM and immediately started talking about their financing options. Made me a quote for $400 to replace a toilet handle and then I was charged $95 for the service fee. Absolute rip off artists. Stay away

In the first instance, they were able to com over on short notice, which is always somewhat amazing! Also, the particular electrician that they sent over (sorry, don't remember his name), was one of the nicest people you could meet. He reviewed the situation, explained the options, gave me three estimates--one for each option--and stuck to the estimate/option I picked. He was also good enough to notice another potential issue I had with an overloaded switch box and gave me a separate estimate to consider on that. He completed the work quickly, and gave me the greatest confidence that he completed the work as it should be!

We have hot water baseboard heat and overnight the expansion tank sprung a leak. Called for service in the morning. Ed serviced the issue the same day. Very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. I highly recommend them.

The product itself rocks. The light fixture has all 3 brightness of LEDs. But Gillece didn't invent that. Gillece DID hire Hal. The man is a literal genius. Our plumber, Eric H, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in quickly resolving the problem. He walked us through each step of his process and resolved the issue in a through and honest manner. I have a warranty company. It took 7 days to get a tech at my house. When a tech arrived he said he couldn't do the work because there was not a kill switch on the outside of the house.Which now Gillece, Trane, and a local vendor have all debunked as a reason to not perform service.Gillece was called and they service my unit the same day. We determined that I need a new one, for it is a 1988 model/install.David Spieler was truly a Gold Standard Professional. He got the system to perform right away, but it failed not too long after. He had not left the street yet, because he has to knock out all that paperwork.David stopped what he was doing and came back to service the unit again!Pay him just to TRAIN the younger generation! Michael came out promptly to service the AC on our newly purchased home. He was prompt and very professional. He answered all my HVAC questions. Very reasonable prices!!!

They were the first to respond to my water heater springing a leak so I had them do a quote for me. Replacing the water tank and fixing 3 gas leaks came in at 16,000 dollars by their estimate. Literally three other companies ended up quoting me for 10% of what they said. In the end I paid Rhino Plumbing 1500$ to handle what they were gonna charge me 16000 for. This company will try and take you for everything you have. The only reason they get two stars is because their service tech was super chill.Additionally on the itemized estimate I received they had a 30$ valve at 237$ for the part and install. The EXACT SAME water tank I just got installed was quoted by gillece at 5,000. Seriously, even if it means waiting a week, use any other company than gillece.

I called Gillece because they were supposed able to be at my house quickly and open a clogged drain. called back 3 times. finally came out 7pm They advertised $93 drain clearing or free if they were unable. They were Unable to clear the clog and still charged me. They did leave me with a $7200 or $12000 option , and after stressing over night I read many reviews that this seems to be their norm. I can complain about being charged even though they weren’t able to clear the drain. I got another plumber to come look at in the morning. They cleared the drain in l15minutes and said they didn’t detect any problems with the line. I feel like i have been scammed. I feel bad for elder people or others without knowledge who have fell into the trap or scare tactics.

I was completely satisfied with the service experience. I had apperhensions do to past publicity re the company. Jim was very polite and informed re work that needed to be done. He put me at ease as he did what he had come to do. I will highly recommend the company to friends and will most certainly call to preform any future work.

I really dont leave such bad review, but i had to call them for the hood belt replacement. I already knew what the problem was and told the technician the problem. He looked at it said i was right. I was told the belt was to be replaced. I said ok go ahead, which i could have done by my self. The job only was to take out the belt and put the new one on, literally takes less than 5 minutes. They charged me 537$ for that job. The technician also gave me a quote of 1800$ for cleaning the hood. Which is almost the cost of buying a new hood. I got a quote from another company for 200$ to clean the hood inside out.Its literally stripping down the customers for money, nothing else.The only reason i am leaving such a bad review is when giving out a quote(which is super expensive) to someone make sure if the customer has any knowledge of how things works or not.It looks like this company is just happy with one time customers rather than long reliable customers, thats why exactly they charge so much money.

Terrible prices, Don't even waste your time. They didn't confirm appoint for $99 electrical outlet special. Had to call and they showed up two hours later. Said my switches didn't qualify on my new home cause I wanted to supply and change to new square LeGrande switches vs the toggles I had. Quoted $4200 to change out 20 switches, I was told on the phone they could do it for $200. Quoted $2400 to run a wire 15ft off panel and make and extra outlet. Charged me $550 to install a 20amp fuse in the box, I supplied the fuse for a wire I had run to a sub panel. Gillece is a Total Rip Off. Tried to sell me warranties. Spent an hr writing quotes then 5 minutes to put the fuse in the panel.I changed 20 switches myself in 3 hrs. I saved $4200, so easy to install new switches. Owner should be embarrassed to provide Pittsburgh home owners with these prices. What a Scam Artist!

I called to get a estiment on the pipe to shut off valve on sidewalk, that was leaking from Columbia Gas doing their sidewalk repair. I explained my problem and told Gillece I needed a paper estiment and a receipt for the $95 service fee and they agreed and set up appointment for me . They called morning of appointment and sad they would be coming out that day and wait for a call. 8 hours later I was called and told that they would not give me a paper estiment and receipt so they are not coming and canceled! They wasted days for me to get this estiment I needed, they must not want people to have proof of what needs done on paper, that way you don’t know how much your being ripped off! For $95 you should be given an paper estiment . I did get an estiment with another local plumbing company for free and with no problems!!!

Do not recommend. What they are doing is stating that a part and/or parts you need are extremely expensive and that a whole new system, in my case a furnace, would have to be purchased and installed. The part that was needed only costs around $120. The technician wanted me to pay either 3k for the part and labor or 13k for a whole new system. This is criminal behavior and I absolutely feel so bad for the people that they’ve bulldozed into this trap.Hard pass!!!Just an fyi, being that I’m permanently disabled and qualify for Liheap, they offered to come in and take a look at the problem. It ended up being an $18 part that needed replaced and they did so at no cost to me. I will NEVER CALL GILLECE for any future repairs. Be WARNED!

Steven Thompson did an excellent job installing our new hot water tank. He effectively communicated our needs and the cost breakdown. He was conscientious about our home, pets, and time. He performed his work promptly and efficiently. We have nothing but good things to say about Steven.On the other hand, the customer service representatives, most specifically, Olivia, did a very poor job of communicating with us throughout the process. We were given false information on numerous occasions, and only finally received our first call from her after Steven had already alerted us he was in route. We didn't receive any communication until 27 hours after our initial call.

We had a toilet emergency and Scott came out quickly to explain what was going on. He recommended the best step moving forward and got us on schedule for repairs for the next day.

I was very happy to be able to reach Gillece quickly for an emergency furnace repair today, a Sunday ! My furnace was failing to adequately heat my home and I was afraid that it would fail completely, leaving me and my avian companion,Rocky, in the cold, but I was calmly assured that there was a technician available and as promised I was contacted in a reasonable amount of time and knowledgeable and personable Dave arrived , explaining the problem,what he was going to do and what I could expect in terms of cost, and repair , which he was able to do efficiently. This was a costly repair ,but for what it was, I believe reasonable , I did not shop around for price,preferring prompt service and experienced technicians at this point in time.

I have spent almost $25,000 with Gillece. I have two warranties with them right now(furnace and plumbing). The furnace that is under warranty stopped working. I scheduled a service call and they called me at 5:30 pm to cancel. No resolution was offered and the woman on the phone was rude. I asked for a supervisor and was refused. I called back to get someone else and spoke to the manager. He was hostile from the get go. He refused to give me even his first name. I was frustrated and asked for him to get someone out today as promised. I tried to make a complaint with him but he kept yelling over me. I begged him to work with me but he just kept getting meaner and ruder. He then banned me from calling them and said they will not service my address even thought they are bound by warranty. I called back hoping that they had a reasonable employee and the manager answered again. He told me that if i call again they will call the police and I will spend 6 months in jail. Now, I have to go through an attorney to try and have the warranty honored.Update: A different manager reached out personally to resolve this issue. The manager who threatened me was acting outside of his role with the company. They apologized profusely and have done everything necessary to resolve the issue.

He was very smart and actually walked me through how my furnace works and some things to look out for, as well as how to read potential diagnostic lighting. I felt the call was worth it, and I like having some peace of mind that my furnace will be fine this winter.

The operator did not sound like she knew what she was doing, and held a conversation with a someone in the office between talking to me. It was confusing. I asked about whether or not I needed to contact my local water authority and she told me no, only to find out later I did which delayed us further. I will say they responded quickly, however after two minutes of just looking from a distance they informed us the repairs would be over $10,000. They seemed surprised when I wanted a second opinion and I felt I was being pressured to take their offer, they did decrease the price a bit when I said I'd call them back. I was able to contact a different contractor who did my repairs for a fraction of the cost and a fraction of hassle. My repairs have been holding long enough now that I feel certain the issue has been completely resolved correctly. When I told someone of my experience they told of two other people they knew who had work done by them at a much higher cost than what they should have paid. If you like spending lots of money they might do a good job, and they seemed to have the resources to get stuff done ASAP. However if you don't have like to basically light money on fire call your local contractor, get a reference from a friend it will be a much better route.

Contacted them for ceiling fan installation. the service was scheduled for early afternoon. instead the customer service called me that technician is overwhelmed and cannot make it. so they rescheduled me for next week, Unfortunately technician did not showed up again. Custumer service called me again with the same excuse and wanted to reschedule me one more time. That was so absurd and so unprofessional. I am totally disappointed and surprised with such a lock of professionalism.

Called Gillece originally to hook up gas dryer in home me and my fiancé just bought and to take a look at repairing the drainage stack. Gillece was able to have someone come out same day and that technician Mike was great. Friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything in terms the normal person would understand. He came out to hook up or gas dryer and found we had a gas leak from our hot water tank and on top of that 2 leaks from our gas stove line. He was able to repair the leak for the stove and hook up our dryer that same day. Another technician came out first thing next morning to replace the gas line that was leaking on the hot water tank and replace the tee and pipe on our drainage stack. Was helpful that they have financing especially given that it wasn't that costly but we could save money up front by just making monthly payments. I would call Gillece again for services I may need in my new home in the future.

I came home to a leak from my toilet on Sunday evening. I called Gillece shortly after noticing the leak. A technician was sent out Monday, diagnosed the problem and gave me options on how to fix the problem. Today, Bajro Menzil came out and had the toilet replaced in no time! He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and got the job done in a timely manner. I would recommend him to anyone. I’m happy I called Gillece.

Steven Thompson stopped by our home today to snake the drain for our tub, and we could not be happier with his work! He is professional and friendly, a real pleasure to talk to, and he works fast! If we can request technicians, we’ll definitely request Steve again!

We had two plumbing issues that appeared to us to be relatively simple, but beyond our do-it-yourself capabilities. Our shower regulator would adjust the water temperature upward, but not back down, requiring us to turn it all the way off and start over to get the right temperature. Also, the cold water faucet on our utility tub required three full turns before we could get the water to flow. Gillece came out, and without inspecting either item, told us that they both needed to be completely replaced with Moen products…the shower regulator for $1300 and the utility faucet for $900. The four star Google average rating almost convinced us to use them. But we checked Yelp, and read many negative reviews. We paid their $65 call fee and contacted another plumbing company. Both of our issues were resolved within one hour and at a total cost of $262!! The excellent, ethical plumber from Matt Mertz Plumbing replaced the regulator in the shower, and tightened a loose screw on the interior of the utility tub faucet. That’s all that was required. Gillece was going to rip us off for $2200 for two major jobs!!

You know it's pretty bad when you call to get an estimate on getting central heating and air put in your house and this company wants to charge 50 bucks just to come out and do an estimate especially when other companies do it absolutely free. Terrible..

we had a sewer line place inside our basement going outside across the road our yard was torn up in April 2023 dirt put back in we were told that the dirt had to settle to give it 4-8 weeks, it's July and have not heard anything about coming back out the dirt that was placed there is cracked and sinking the new pipe place outside is still sticking out ( suppose to cut) We also been asking for the invoice that we had done in 2020 all we get is the run around.

Dave was absolutely phenomenal, he came out and diagnosed my problem quickly, and resolved the issue for a great value. Moving forward Dave is the only guy I'm going to use for all of my HVAC needs!

I had a great service experience with Gillece. Our AC wasn't working properly and was leaking water from the air handler. Ron was on time and very helpful. explained everything including different service options. it was fixed quickly and done right. way better than their competitor that I used to use.

Gillece plumbing was called because plumbing leak was in return air vent of furnace. I removed the pan from the return air vent to find where leak was coming from and put a bucket under leak. Gillece was called, I was told they'd be there between 12 - 3, they showed up after 4! !My sister was on-call and inconvenienced by how late after the scheduled appointment they showed up and not doing the Job that was scheduled to be done! After showing up after 4, plumber complained that he had to stand on water heater to do the Job, if he can't do the Job, send someone who can! A estimate was written with the job being a Unit Price of $1175.75!After inconveniencing my sister again for being on-call, the next dayGillece did the work. The work done that was done included replacing 12 inches of CET (Pex) Piping, (2) compression valves and a water line to the toilet, less than $100 of material!! So, about $500/hr labor!!After returning home from work and finding that the water line was still leaking and water on my bathroom floor from the Pipe and the return-air vent pan not replaced or at the least reinstalled, I called Gillece to file a complaint. Gillece scheduled a plumber come out & repair the leak another inconvenience for my sister to be on-call. Gillece called and said they regretted that the plumbers previous Job was taking longer than was anticipated and they had to reschedule! ! After informing my sister that she had to be inconvenienced and on-call yet again on the following Monday. Gillece called the Monday that was scheduled and said the plumber was not able to come out yet again! !Gillece tried to re-schedule again inconveniencing and having put my sister On-Call yet again, I told Gillece to forget it! !This Job started on December 29 and the leak from the toilet was repaired by me on January 21! !Never use Gillece, not reliable in any aspect! Too expensive for work done! Not on showing up at the scheduled time, not showing up on the rescheduled time and not doing the Job right! !

Very thorough and helpful with all aspects of the process from getting me approved for the loan to talking to the insurance company to get access and recovery covered by homeowners.The rest of the crew that came to fix the pipes did an awesome job too. Scheduling was a nightmare. Bumped from the morning time frame twice. Once, they did not make it to me at all. Once they arrived at three.Office staff did not listen to me regarding what my problem was so when the plumber finally got to me he was not equipped to do the job I needed done.I arranged to have the plumber met at the house by a friend of mine. Office staff neglected to tell me plumber must be met by the deeded property owner for them to do work. I even specifically mentioned I was arranging having a friend meet the plumber. That did not prompt the office staff to bring this requirement up.Over a week later, plumber arrived early today. Was equipped to the job, and did it easily. Plumber was polite and personable.

Gillece to the rescue! Our hot water tank decided to go bad last weekend. We called Gillece and they were on the scene in no time. Jeff not only came out super late, but arranged to get us a tank that evening. He even stayed until the early hours of the next morning to assure our tank was working and we were up to code! I called at noon, and a technician was at my house less than three hours later. Kyle Q. was thorough, informative, and quick to diagnose and fix the problem with my air conditioner. He explained my options, made a recommendation, and offered guidance to me for the future so that once he fixed the problem, I could take care of it myself going forward and never have to see him again. He quoted me a fair price, did the work in about an hour, and left me with an AC that was working again. In and out. Quick and painless. I'm pleased with the service and would recommend to anyone who's AC decides to break on a 90° day.

Gillece has been to my house twice because the furnace they installed kept making a booming sound every time it kicked on. After they left my furnace still made the same noise when starting. Plus it was not heating my upstairs at all. The same people who installed this furnace didn’t repair it. The repair man said use cheaper filters so my furnace doesn’t kick off. I’ve never had a furnace that couldn’t heat a small house and just incompetent repairmen. They wanted to charge me 90.00 again to ascertain the same problem that they were originally called about. So if anyone is looking for a competent company please look pass Gillece plumbing and HVAC. If not just flush your money down the toilet.

THIS COMPANY THRIVES ON TAKING ADVANTAGE OF YOUR INEXPERIENCE.I had my AC unit checked over before summer. The representative didnt seem bad at first. Found out my ac unit was damaged from my dog using it as a fire hydrant. Quoted me 7 grand for a new unit. This isn't the scam...yet. I get they are expensive. But he offered to have a master plumber check out my thermo expansion tank for my water heater and i had some other questions for other issues. Ok, cool.Master plumber comes out with his trainee. He immediately says he smells gas when he was going to my basement. Yet nobody else that's been in the basement noticed a thing, including me.He pulls out his detector and checks the gate valve and some other union joints. His meter goes off and he tells me that he should tell my gas company to turn off my gas after 5 leaks identified. I not trying to threaten you he says.Then he tells me my thermo expansion tank is failing because it has water in it. (I know nothing at this point about any of this) I'm getting worried. He doesnt test it, he just felt how heavy it was.Next I asked his opinion on a drain underneath my sink that broke. He told me I needed a new sink.....and set up.Dude quoted me over 10 k to get all this done. OVER $10,000!! Made me think I was in bad shape. I'm stressed out now.I did some research, bought gas leak detection liquid from home depot, called my friend over who had more experience than me. Found out, I only had 1 small leak coming from a gate valve. The other joints weren't showing bubbles after multiple test on the same joints he tested.All it needed was a stupid gasket.....Also found out that ny thermo expansion SHOULD HAVE WATER IN IT. Half water and half compressed air.The drain under my sink just needed plunged and we replaced the pipe with pvc. All took 2 hours of our time and like 60 dollars worth of parts.I recommend you start doing your own research and further understanding of the systems in your home. That master plumber is a crook trying to make money off you.

I called gillece because my toilet was leaking water. Thry came to give me an estimate and gave me 3 prices for different amounts of work the lowest being $810 to replace to plastic toilet ring and they said that it might not fix the problem long term. The highest rate was $4380 to open up my floor and repair everything. As a young single mom and a homeowner I asked what the best option would be and they said of course the $4380 repair. I thought that was extremely high and called another plumber to come take a look. The problem was never with water leaking through the floor or anything major.it turns out The tank was leaking from a loose bolt. Not only did he retighten my toilet and stop the leaking but also changed the toilet ring for $150.00.I will never go back to gillece!

Called and scheduled an appointment to have a plumber come to fix my drain, the receptionist told me they would call when a technician was available the next day. The next day I received a call in the morning stating I was on the schedule for the day and they would call later with an eta of when the technician would arrive. Late afternoon they called to inform me my service appointment would not be answered that day and offered to reschedule for another day when I would not be able to wait all day hoping someone would actually show up.

Used the online service scheduler in the AM and within 30 minutes had a time for a representative to visit same day! Ed Stamerra was prompt and professional - reviewed what needed to be done and gave me assurance that this should fix the problem of the clogged sewer line and the $93 clog bust or it's free would be the way to go. Within a couple hours he had the sewer running free and was packing up - great professional service at a reasonable price.

Steven Thompson did an excellent job servicing our sewer line to remove build up using the high pressure jetter and helping to improve water pressure throughout the house. He walked us through each step showing us the issues and what he was doing to correct.

I called three weeks ago to set up an appointment for a technician to put in a new thermostat for me and fix a faulty light switch. I was pleased that they offered weekend hours. They said that they would be able to come out that Saturday. That day, they called at 9am to confirm, and that someone would call when they were on their way, likely early afternoon. They called at 3:40 and said that they were sorry, but could not be out today. We rescheduled for the following Saturday (yesterday), however I said that it had to be morning. I was told that this would work fine and that they would call Saturday morning. They did call, however the person who called at 8:15 could not tell me when someone would be out. I reminded them that I needed a morning appointment. I was told that they knew and would call when someone was on their way. By 11:00, I had not heard anything, and when I called at 11:10, no one was on their way. I asked to reschedule for Sunday, the next day, since even if they were on their way at that time, I would have to leave before they could finish. She said that was fine. They called this morning (Sunday) and said that someone would call when they were an hour before arriving. Perfect, since I was going to be home all day. I finally got a call at 3:30 saying that they would not be able to come out today. When I said that I would go with another company because this would be the third time they had to reschedule, the lady started arguing with me about whose fault it was that yesterday had to be rescheduled. This company may do a great job when they complete the work-I unfortunately never found out.

I called Gillece because they were able to be at my house quickly on a sat to open a clogged drain. They advertised $93 drain clearing or free if they were unable. They were Unable to clear the clog and still charged me. They did leave me with a $9500 option to replace the sewer line and after stressing for about 24 hours I read many reviews that this seems to be their norm. Joe was really personable so I can’t complain about him. I can complain about being charged even though they weren’t able to clear the drain. I will be seeking other options to get the drain taken care ofEdit: I got another plumber to come look. They cleared the drain in less than 30 minutes and said they didn’t detect any problems with the line. Thanks Gillece. Scammers.

Our microwave was acting up and kept blowing the fuse so I called Gillece and Ed showed up. Long story short it was not a fuse or bad outlet it turned out to be the almost new microwave that was bad. Ed waived the $95 fee to come out to our house. Will be using this company again for sure!

Our furnace of 2 years (Goodman) stopped blowing hot air and was showing a pressure switch error so I contacted a different local company and they diagnosed it as the heat exchanger needing replaced. I found this odd since the unit is only 2 years old. I called Gillece to get a second opinion on what really may be the issue. Ron from Gillece was there the next day. He was extremely knowledgeable in his trade and was able to diagnose that the switch was the problem causing the burners to quit. As well as diagnosed the improper air flow from initial vent installation (not originally done by Gillece) that caused the switch to go bad in such a short time. I was able to get the switch ordered and installed myself as well as address the air flow issue. Would highly recommend Ron and the Gillece team.

Today was my first experience with Gillece (basement floor drain clog). There were some issues with scheduling, which Gillece compensated me for and apologized for, so that alone was enough for me to leave a positive review. Everyone I interacted with over the phone was kind, understanding, and professional. **Kaleb** came to our house to look at our drain issue and was EXTREMELY thorough and explained every step of the process. I was very pleased with the work and we even shared some great conversation as well! I would certainly use this company again for any future issues! 5 stars!!

The entire process of using them was great - I called at 8pm and within minutes had a phone call back from dispatch confirming that they didn't have anyone on the road at the moment, but someone would be at my house between 8-9am the next day. Loren was super professional and was able to diagnose the issue and recommend a few different options of how to fix it, was done within a few hours, and even cleaned up my basement as much as he could which was wonderful!

Tiffany did wonderful job upgrading the electrical on our property. We had the electrical box upgraded, 3 new power outlets 7 others updated. Tiffany was kind, professional and courteous. There was no mess left behind, the wiring that was installed was clean and tidy. Highly recommend her for any electrical work.

If I could give them a 0 I would! First, the sales tactics are lame. When you get called to a house to do one job you don't go through the house and estimate on things that are not even needed. Second, when a part costs no more than $65 bucks (I know this as I purchased the needed part at Home Depot to replace the broken bracket on the one we have). and you come back with a quote of $1k (meaning it's like $900 bucks for labor) on a job that would take a skilled person no more than an hour. Goodness you all should be ashamed of yourselves. I get you are a business, I too own my one but I'd never over inflate a price just because I could. Should have called Ace Handyman Services to begin with and saved a $90 diagnostic test charge!!!!!

DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR $95 SEWER CLEANING AD THAT YOU SEE ON THE BILLBOARDS. IT IS A BAIT AND SWITCH TACTIC. They came out and charged us $95 and said they couldn't clean it, that we would have to pay $2,000 to have some additional work done. We had to pay the $95 dollars but refused the other services. When the technician left we called Sewer Flow, who came out immediately and fixed the problem for us for $370... And that included them snaking our drains in the basement.

Melanie was Professional and cared about fixing my electric problems. Really seemed like she wanted to help. I had water get into my panel due to very old lines outside. Lights flickering, partial loss of power, and no sunifigant heat when it was 0 out. She got everything up and running. She took time to explain everything that needed done and why. Very happy with her work. I give her 5 stars but I feel i was overcharged somewhat by the company after doing some research that why i only gave 4 stars. But all and all I am please And would recommend her.

The services provided were okay, but required FIL to take out a $13,000 loan through their loan company for a water heater replacement. $13,000 for a water heater replacement?! They badger for a positive review before they leave your home (literally walked my 80 yr old FIL through the process of leaving a Google review ) & before the outcomes of their practices are really felt.

The service technician, Ron H, is extreemly knowledgeable and informative concerning changing from a heat pump system to a gas system. He gave me optional choices that I had not considered. These options would save me considerable costs of installation. He is a great representative and an asset to both customers and his company.

Extremely poor service, ill informed, but earnest technician and downright unprofessional supervisor. I needed help with installing an attic vent fan. The technician that arrived explained that as part of their standard procedures, he had to examine all electrical outlets in the house and that he could examine my request only after he had completed the inspection. After 45 minutes of this inspection, he pointed out that we needed 2 GFCI outlets and proceeded to present me with 3 plans to fortify the the electrical system the house. When I explained that all we needed help was to put up the attic vent fan (which we had) through the opening, they presented us with an estimate of over $1,000. The technician was a nice guy and genuinely seemed interested in helping, but would go back to his truck and come up with these unreasonable estimates from his supervisor. Finally I said just show me how to take the attic vent fan motor and fan through the tri-mount. He want back to the van and said that he spoke to his supervisor and that he could do it for $258. I felt obliged to pay him for his time. I think they were not upfront and unreasonable in their approach. The technician seemed to be a genuinely well meaning person, but the entire engagement left me dissatisfied. They did not address the problem and tried to sell me expensive services which were not needed.

Tiffany was my electrician. She did any excellent job and will request her again. Fit me in quickly. Phone receptionist and electrician were friendly. Again Tiffany was excellent.

This team was amazing! They listened to all of my questions showed me the existing problems and really guided me in this process. Overall everyone is was amazing and will be using them for years to come.

Steve Thompson Sr was the one sent to our house to address the sewer problem. He showed up on his day off! And stayed at our house for several hours to get an accurate diagnosis of the problem. Within 24 hours we could at least flush the toilets again. The entire process took a few days. Before the job was inspected by the county, Steve returned to the house to re-camera the lines and show me everything was 100% clear. We had several people here doing the work over a few days. Being self employed and my wife is management, you can see when someone cares about there work. Steve and (Tim ) I didn’t catch his last name, are real assets to Gillece! You’ll be happy with there work !

I had paid to have someone come out to provide a diagnostic on my furnace as I was having issues. I was promised, a copy of the pictures and full report. Instead of providing reasons, they only sent replacement estimates. Upon calling to inquire what I had paid for, they refused to send me the diagnosis. Disappointing business model.

No ShowI Called Gillece to repair a leaking hose in a water purification system they installed within the past year. One of the first things the telephone rep asked for was a credit card number to pay for a service call. I mentioned to her that we had just paid $2000 for the installation less than a year ago and I told the Gillece rep we should not be having this problem. After putting me on hold for about a minute she came back on the phone and told me there would be no charge for the service call. The customer service rep mentioned someone from Gillece would call to let us know when the technician was due to arrive. We did receive a call back a few days later mentioning the service technician would arrive in a few hours. The service tech did not show. I waisted an entire day waiting. There was no follow up call or apology on the part of Gillece.As a result, my wife called another company which came on time and did an excellent repair at a fair price.

Steven Thompson was extremely helpful and thorough. I had sewage backing up in to my basement and he explained everything as he was fixing it. The back up ended up needing additional work and he helped me understand what needed done and how to go about submitting a claim with my homeowners insurance. He helped make a literal stinky situation as smooth as possible.

We've been using gillece for several years. they ended up selling us a new furnance, ac and tankless water heater for 20k. And we've used them for other things. I just had an electrical safety check done but, the last couple times I've called them to check on things I keep getting rescheduled over and over again. I called them for an emergency electrical issue and they didn't call me to set something up for DAYS at that point i just kept hanging up on them... I've now been rescheduled TWICE so I've been waiting what will be 4 weeks (at least) for service... this is ridiculous. I guess they've squeeze all my money out and I'm not worth anything to them anymore. What happened to loyalty? Ugh very frustratedIn response to the response from gillece. I don't have any info available on purpose so my reviews are honest and i can't be tracked down. I will not be calling and there was no miscommunication here. I called for service, I was scheduled then I've been rescheduled twice so far... we'll see what happens next I'm not hopeful... and this has happened several times this year...

I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience with Gillece. My quote was accurate and fair and the work was done perfectly in less than 24 hrs from my initial quote. I’m looking forward to working with Gillece on my service contract that I purchased as well as additional work I’d like to have done. My technician was truly the difference between having work done and having an extremely positive customer experience.

Called gillece for ac unit repair, they came within a few hours, Ron and Tom came out and was very informational and educational about my worries on my ac and furnace and along with other problems and worries I was having with the new purchase of my home. They came and got my ac running back new and replaced my old ac unit with a new product from gillece. I recommend if you haven’t gotten your ac and furnace serviced to do it now through gillece

Scott came out on time and was very professional. He answered all of my inquiries with thorough explanations so I knew exactly what was needed to happen in order to solve my problem. His personality made me feel at ease, which is great for a person who struggles with anxiety. I 100% recommend Gillece because of Scott and their receptionist team. Their receptionist team works 7 days a week and is always pleasant on the phone. In addition, they reach out often to ensure I know exactly when to expect the technician.

Loved the Honesty and professionalism but was not happy with the price to complete the job, but I guess the truth hurts. Ron showed up on time and was all business. He showed us how the other guys (that were already here) were wrong in their reasons that our furnace was not working and proved it to us by making the furnace work but told us that it was only a temporary fix and we would need to get done the things he showed us were bad. I trusted his diagnoses and would have hired him today but I must see if I can get the funds before I do it on credit and time with Gillece. I will call them first if ever a problem

Called out to look at a breaker. Was told I needed a whole new panel. Was quoted over $5,000. I called another company because that seemed high. They quoted $1,200. Seems like they rely on the business of people in an emergency that don’t know any better or have the time or awareness to get multiple quotes .

Walked into our spare bathroom today to discover water all on our floor and underneath our vinyl flooring. Called Gillece and Ed Stamerra showed up within two hours. He ID the leak, and the repair process was fast, courteous, knowledgeable, and 100% professional.I will be requesting Eddie for all my plumbing services from here on out, and I recommend you do the same.

While they were respectful and easy to deal with, they are of extremely poor value. I got an estimate from these guys quite a while back. They tried charging my father $12,000 to install a furnace and replace a few pipes so that we’d “instantly have hot water” as they phrased it. They probably thought because my dad was old and that he needed the furnaces installed immediately they could rip him off. Avoid these guys and go with AirPro heating and cooling. They installed a Bryant furnace for us within than the week for $2700. They also have a 10 year warranty and both parts and labor unlike most companies. And yes, I understand your business not a charity but attempting rip off customers because they may not be as knowledgeable is not a good look.

The good part is they did come out the same day to replace the main valve coning into my home that was leaking. The Plumber they sent was great a friendly. Te bad part is $790.00 for 15 minutes of work is outrageous. Definitely feel that I was taken advantage of, other estimates that I checked into were 1/4 -1/2 of their price. WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. After seeing Gillece’s many ratings on Google, I decided to hire them to fix my clogged drain. SPOILER ALERT. SAVE YOUR TIME. HIRE SOMEONE ELSE. I called yesterday and scheduled for a technician to unclog my drain today. Their secretary called me this morning to verify my appointment this afternoon and said that the technician would call me 45 minutes prior to my appointment. Unfortunately, I felt like I was being blown off around 3:00pm. THEN I took the time to dig into their one star reviews and it looks like this happens all the time. After waiting around ALL day with a very vague “afternoon” timeframe, the secretary called me at 3:30pm saying that the technician would not make it out today and wanted to reschedule. I called off work for THIS. I am just one of many people who had this same experience which makes me so angry. How dare you schedule your customers in for “next day” service when you know full well that they will be put on the back burner at the end of the day. It’s so disrespectful to waste people’s time. I won’t be calling this company ever again. I’ve seen enough. Disgraceful.

Well I was having problems with my sink and called Gillece. Came out the next day and Ed Stamerra came to take a look. When he opened the door to our basement he said that he smelled gas!! Went to get his meter and we had a major leak at the service line and multiple smaller leaks throughout the basement. He immediately told us to call the gas company to turn off the gas. Gas company came within 15 minutes. Ed spoke to the gas company about the situation. My husband and I owe our lives to Ed !!!! We were all pretty rattled but Ed kept his cool and knew just what to do. Since the gas issue is first priority and we have a homeworks plan the gas work will come first. Ed asked us to keep him informed about how things are going with the gas repairs and the plan is to have Ed to start work on our sink Tuesday. He went over all our options. Amongst all the commotion he was able to put a plan together for the sink repair and the the gas repair if needed. We feel he was divinely sent … God bless you Ed!!!

All those that I dealt with--from the receptionist who answered the phone to my technician--were awesome! My technician, Gabrielle, was quick to troubleshoot my problem and I never got a sense I was being ripped off by him. Most importantly, he took the time to explain the issue to me and taught me different methods to prevent issues with our AC unit. This is something that you typically don't see because it's usually the case that a company wants to squeeze every penny they can out of you. Would highly recommend Gabrielle and Gillece!

Call to make appointment for Saturday needing a plumber that could work on a grinder pump. Dispatch called at 3pm to say nobody could come can we reschedule. We reschedule for Friday at 3, they called asked if they could come early i said 2pm earliest. Friday at 5pm Dispatch called said no one available can we do Saturday again. Once again no call till 230pm so I just said nevermind i will call someone who wants the job.

BEWARE THEY LIE AND OVERCHARGE. YELP IS 1 STAR. They are obviously manipulating their ratings on Google. Wow where to begin. I had a ceiling fan light stop working two weeks ago and decided to have it fixed. I live less than 5 minutes away from this Gillece plumbing, hvac and electrical company and as I like to patronize local businesses I figured we would try them out. My wife and I both work so we needed a service appointment after 5:30 pm. The initial phone call seemed promising. I wasn't crazy about the $65 service visit fee but they told me this would be deducted from my bill anyway so I scheduled the appointment for the following Friday. Friday morning comes and my wife and I both get phone calls from Gillece at 10:30am trying to reschedule our appointment for earlier in the day. A bit irritating since I clearly told the gentleman when I made the appointment that we both worked but no biggie. They called later in the day and said they couldn't make the appointment and wanted to reschedule for early the next day (Saturday). Again irritating but things happen, no biggie. Saturday comes the service tech come and diagnoses the problem, a loose wire, good I don't have to replace the unit. Well then it gets interesting. This guy tells my wife the bill is $195. Apparently this guy wants to charge for a trip charge of $65 and a flat ceiling fan fee of $125. Not at all what the guy who made the appointment said. My wife said no. (good for her) She asked what the hourly rate was. The service tech LIED straight to her face and told her it was against the law for him to charge her a hourly rate because of some made up PA statute. ( I looked there is none). We ended up paying $125 to fix a loose wire for 10 minutes of work and learned a valuable lesson about never using this company again.

Gillece services came to my home and installed a filtration system for both my water and my furnace/ac (2 separate units). The technicians were polite and worked hard, and even got the job done earlier than forecasted! My dishes are cleaner, my skin is clearer, and my dogs hair (as well as dust!) is NOWHERE to be found! So glad I took their recommendation on these systems - it definitely wasn't cheap, but both the results with the systems along with the quality of work (and warranty) justified it all! Thank you!!!

I had a catastrophic failure of my main water shut off valve on a Saturday. It was leaking profusely and only worsened by my own attempt to fix it. Mike arrived promptly, assessed the situation, gave me best and worst case options and quotes for both (he was unable to immediately fix the issue because it required an emergency shut off at the street by the water company...which became another disaster all together). Mike returned the following day and was able to quickly fix the valve (the best case) and avoided further catastrophes. Thanks Mike!

Thank you for the quick assistance - we used the website to reach out; this was nice because they called us, so we didn't have to wait on hold, and they already had all the information that way, too. In less than 24 hours, Mr. Steve Tako was ringing the doorbell to check on the situation. He advised us professionally and honestly, and was also personable and knowledgable. Then, the next day, we had people installing the new unit. For peace of mind, I would recommend.

I had Ed Stamerra from Gillece perform diagnostic services on my gas line to ensure it would not interfer with a fence installation being performed by my neighbor. Ed was very helpful and knowledgeable as to what needed to be done. Gillece provides technicians with the customer in mind. I would recommended them for future heating, plumbing, cooling and energy problems.

They installed the lights as requested. Work was fine. The wiring was already there and I had already removed the old fixture and had the new fixture ready to connect. I just wanted to make sure that the new fixture was connected correctly. I paid over $1000 for less than 30 minutes of work. If I had declined the service it was over $100 for the fee just for them to offer the estimate. I should have watched a YouTube video and done this work myself.

We had issues with our HVAC system cooling our space and reached out to Gillece. They sent out Kyle. We had a semi-large job to install a new shower and drain lines in our old 1920s home, as well as replace the old copper water lines going to our bathroom. Gillece did all of the plumbing work for us over the course of a few months, and we were pleased with them being courteous, flexible, and professional.Scott Christian was the first plumber from Gillece to work with us. He diagnosed the leak, and drew up plans for the necessary repairs. John Beard from Gillece was the primary plumber doing the construction and repair work. I was impressed with both Scott and John, and will definitely look to have them do work for us in the future.I also appreciate how Gillece handled unexpected issues that popped up during the project. They worked with us on the cost of new repairs that were discovered, and they recognized that the job deserved someone with John's experience.Secondary thanks go out to Nate, the interim plumber who helped get the project started so that we could start demoing the shower. And John had an extra set of hands for the bulk of the construction, but unfortunately I've forgotten that plumber's name.Thank you Gillece!

I was quite busy over a recent weekend when my garbage disposal failed. Rather than replace it myself, I contacted Gillece. They offered to repair the garbage disposal for a whopping $1,824+$95 service fee. Yes, almost $2K for a garbage disposal!!! To charge any person to install a piece of equipment that is about $150 in any hardware store and takes about two hours is crime. While I realize there are admin costs, insurance, rent... along with skilled labor that price is so outrageously high it should be considered criminal. Folks wonder why we are suffering from severe inflation. You can blame companies like Gillece that will rob you blind rather than charge you a fair rate for an honest 1/2 day's work. I will note they did return my $95 check for the visit/assessment; but I'm sure that was in hope of me not writing this review. Oh, I had a another local plumbing install it for $175! (I bought my own for $125). Total cost $300.

Stay far away from scam artists Gillece. I installed 2 Daikin ductless units from Gillece about 3 years ago, after the first year the one unit started to leak onto my brand new kitchen cabinets. My units were under warranty for two years. I spent a year trying to get in contact with them to come out to look at the unit and fix it, they kept saying that they would call me back and NO ONE ever called back. When they finally came out to check the unit they told me that my warranty was almost up the technician looked at the unit said it needed to be reinstalled. And then no one ever followed up and I wasn’t able to get in contact with anyone. Another summer passed and I reached out again and was told someone was supposed to come check out the unit. The technician didn’t bring the proper ladder, and he claimed that the water pump was clogged which caused the leaking. Charged me $95 and then the unit started leaking again. This has been a disaster, I way over paid for the units and they haven’t worked for more than a year and Gillece has purposely been ignoring me and shoving me off to the side until my warranty was up. Stay FAR away from Gillece. My unit should have been reinstalled properly from the start and should have been covered under my warranty since I notified them a year before my warranty was over.

After having some issues with getting a technician to come out, Mike V came to our home to diagnose our water heater problem as we had no hot water and many problems with our water heater. He was extremely knowledgeable, efficient and polite. He needed to return the next day to finish the job. Mike scheduled the appointment for me and was timely showing up the next day. I would definitely recommend him as a technician.

Steven Thompson Sr just left and even though the drain didn't clear he was very helpful, and very personable. Steve explained what was to be done next and i said I will give it a shot myself and if I can't I am to call him back. I had ask about my hot water tank and he also gave me great advice. Our plumber was Ed. He did an excellent work in our house. He replaced the garbage disposal, kitchen faucet and shut off valves. It was pricey but he did the job very professionally and it was quality work. He cleaned everything after himself when he finished his job. My husband called Gillece because our furnace is making a loud noise when it turns on. This company installed our furnace ten years ago, and we wanted to see if it was still under warranty. We scheduled a service and the technicians came to our home within hours. They told him that it needs a new balance fan and pressured him to make a decision that day. We missed the warranty date by three months, so they wanted $800 just for the fan. We just moved into our home and didn’t know we had a problem until we turned on the furnace in November. When the new fan was installed, the noise actually became worst and the technician saw other issues that we won’t originally told about during the consultation. I started doing some research on my own and found the fan online for around $100. My husband called the office for a week and the manager did not call him back. So we decided to contacted the BBB and the manager gave us a full refund. Buyers Beware - this company will take advantage of people that do not know better.

All four plugs now gfci in my garage done as scheduled and promised! Update, March 2021: moved into my new home this week, turned on the water which was off at the main “so the pipes don’t freeze”, well, every thing is leaking or broken! So, Ed to the rescue, sure knows how to take care of a customer, and easy on the eyes to boot. Sent me Joey, spent time caring for all of my needs, new valves, gas line, water line for fridge, new drain lines, hose bib, hot water tank...what a fantastic job. I now have them installing my dishwasher, and of course the shut off valve under the sink, new electric outlet for dishwasher, and my valves for the washing machine have also failed so those gotta go too. (No ladies, they didn’t take me for a ride, all the valves are easy 50 years old, and really failed). Quality work, quality employees, great job again!

Jose came out to repair the 2nd floor toilet. He needed to cut a hole in the drywall in the 1st floor kitchen to gain access. After he left, went to grab a bowl for a snack and noticed wet, drywall debris all throughout my cabinets.After paying a significant figure , I now have to take the time to re-wash all the dishes before tonight’s party. I expected a company of this caliber to at least throw down a dropcloth and to cleanup after the service.

Joe helped me out more then absolute needed. Every step he let me know what was going on and then Harvey and Jeff were so wonderful. Everyone made me feel at ease and confident they were there to do what was in my best interest. Thanks Joe, Harvey, and Jeff I loved having you guys helping me.

We’ve used Gillece anytime we have an issue in our home, from plumbing to electrical to HVAC. Everyone is polite and professional and knowledgeable. Matt, our electrician, gave us our options without pressuring or scaring us into something we could not afford. I love Gillece!

This was one of the worst experiences I ever had with any company. I had used them for an electrical panel repair and upgrade at the beginning of 2022 without any major issues. Then came this adventure. Flipped the switch to turn the lights on in my basement. Could feel something break, and no lights. It was a weekend. Called Monday morning, set appointment. Day of scheduled appointment #1arrives. Get a phone call from their team saying that they won't get to me today, and need to reschedule, with no other explanation. OK, fine. Reschedule for two days later. Appointment #2 comes. Get another phone call in the morning One of our technicians called out. We need to reschedule. Set appointment #3, this time with a $25 credit. Date arrives, and this time, in theory, I'm supposed to be the first appointment of the morning, because if I'm at the end of the day, they don't seem to get to me. It snows the night before, and once again, get a call halfway through the day that nobody is coming due to weather. I grew up in Western Pennsylvania, and attended school at Edinboro University, where the weather was worse than I've ever seen here. I was raised with the belief, from high school onward, that the professional world, the business world, does not stop due to weather without a serious weather incident, which this was not. Set Appointment #4, with a $40 dollar credit now, for the repeat cancellations. Again, scheduled for first thing in the morning. Wake up at 7 on my day off, so I can deal with the technician at 0800. 8, 9, 10AM, come and go, no technician, and no phone call. Call the company. Speak to a woman who might as well have said Here's a generic excuse for why someone's not there yet, and we have no technicians available, as they're all on other jobs, but you'll be next on the list. Guy arrives, (at nearly noon, after the company telling me I would be the first job of the day) and when asked about this, basically blames a computer algorithm. You see, we are told that we have (x) number of jobs, with (x) time allotted for each, and (x) time for travel. So if the first job of the day has something go wrong, and it takes longer than expected, every job gets pushed back, and sometimes we don't get to people. While I have no issues with the technician, or the quality of the work, the office staff and the schedulers treated me, and my job like it was unimportant and inconsequential from start to finish, and spent more time making excuses for not showing up and fixing the problem than was actually spent fixing the problem. I suppose if you have a big, expensive, important job, or are a high-value client to this company, or maybe if you have a serious enough emergency, such as loss of your entire heating system, that presents possible liability if its not tended to fast enough, you may be treated well, and your situation will be resolved in a timely fashion. If you have a small, low-value job that isn't a crisis level emergency, expect to be dismissed, rescheduled, given excuses, and treated like a non-entity whose job, and money aren't a priority to the company from start to finish.

Scheduling an appointment was easy and they came out very quickly. They showed up in the time frame they promised. And the work done was excellent. I even had them do additional work for me and plan to hire Gillece to do further work at my new home. Highly, highly recommend Gillece!

Though I had a friend pay for me to use their plumber, to unclog my sewer. They charged by the hour and because my friend only had so much to spend. They hurried up the job and did not even run the water to make sure things was okay. Within two weeks my problem was back worse than ever. Then came a recommendation for Gillece Plumbing. I had a very nice young man named, Loren. He kept at it until he got to the bottom of my issue. He was knowledgeable and was very kind to this older in years lady. I easily understood all he explained. So now yay, I can take a shower without having to fill up my tub and let it drain out over night. In the words of their parrot mascot, Call Gillece.

I had Matthew to my house to fix a breaker that was tripping. He was very knowledgeable and helped to show me exactly what was wrong and what he was doing. I would absolutely use his service again.

Shady business practices! Their services are severely overpriced and then they give you a small discount if they sit there and watch you submit a 5 star review, hence all the 5 star reviews here which is what led me to call them in the first place. They don't properly notify you that you can cancel their absurdly expensive services, and then hide the cancellation notice in the back of a folder of coupons and not attached to the email they send you with the invoice/terms and conditions.

I had Jacob and Matt do my electrical service today. They were great. Super informative and willing to go above and beyond without nickel and diming me. I would definitely recommend and use in the future.

We had a sewer back-up in our basement and called Gillece for a 2nd estimate after we received a quote from a competing company that we had used the year prior. Joe from Gillece came out and walked my husband through everything he was doing, showed him where the issues where and explained all of our options. He cleared the clog in 5 minutes, something the other company claimed they weren't able to do. Joe offered to come back 2 days later to explain everything to me to make sure both my husband and I were very comfortable with our options to fix the issue. There was absolutely no pressure from Joe to go with either of the two options, one being significantly more expensive. The best part is they were able to start the work as soon as the very next day. We are more than happy with the customer service and the work that was done by Gillece and will be using them for all of our plumbing, HVAC & electric needs going forward. Thank you Gillece!

Perry Gallo was very professional and respectful of my home, family and time. The experience was everything I would expect.

They'll upsell you by scaring you into paying for more reliable materials and throw out a complicated estimate to tack on more charges. I chalked it up to being a new homeowner but I'll never make that mistake again. I asked to be contacted by a manager, no one called. Wish I thought to put in this review much sooner to save others from getting ripped off.

I could not have asked for better service on my recent plumbing crisis. Ed and his entire team were friendly, professional and efficient. Everyone I dealt with at Gillece were very professional. Jeff G worked on my basement and did a fabulous job. He answered every question I had and there were alot. He walked me through everything when he was done and I couldn't be more pleased! Gillece can be pricey but for the professionalism and knowledge that they have I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

We were in the process of selling our home and had a issue with our sewer main not passing test due to a cracked elbow at the foundation. Gillece quoted us $16,000.00 !!!! The guy who came out went out to his truck and called back to the office to discuss what needed done and his office gave him that number...so he says ... Long story short our realtor referred us to a local plumber and he did it in 8 hours for $2,300.00 ...I can't believe these people are in business don't let them take advantage of you!

Woke to find lights out in part of the house. Breaker kept flipping when i tried to turn it back on. Called Gillece and they got a guy out that day and found the issue was a pipe and leak in our dishwasher on the junction box for the dishwasher. Gillece was able to fix both the plumbing and electrical issues plus updated multiple outlets. They did great work and made us feel safer.

I called them in for the $93 clog special (even though the reviews led me to believe they might try to rip me off). Tech came and did not attempt to unclog. He “used his camera” and told me my entire septic system was compacted and he wasn’t able to use the snake or eel or whatever they call it these days. They wanted $1500 to get it “jetted”. I called a local plumber who was $225 and he had everything unclogged within an hour. I will never make the mistake of trying to go the “cheap way” again. Thanks for nothing, Gillece.

Jake and Gillette did a great job of identifying our blinking light issue which was the meter box loose fixture. They replaced the meter box and they re-installed the meter. The job was taken care of in a very timely and professional manner. They also installed a whole house surge protector and a new man breaker. Great work!

Steven Thompson was extremely courteous and provided excellent detail on the problems. He went above and beyond to help resolve the immediate issue and identified a shorter and longer term solution depending on budget. He explained the issues thoroughly and even showed photos of the interior to our sewage lines to confirm the issues.

Joe and Eric at Gillece were so kind. They worked on a house that a purchased 2 years ago when I was 23. I had no idea what i was doing and Joe walked me through every step of the way. He made sure to save me money where he could because I get married in a few months. The whole process was just smooth running minus the unaccepted surprises when they got into the basement. I would suggest them to everyone!
