Adam showed up wearing a mask and quickly diagnosed the problem. The previous plumber from a different company installed the sink drain gaskets incorrectly and caused the eventual leak. The cost for services was quoted up front and the repairs were made in a timely manner. I would use Mr. Rooter again.

I highly recommend Mr. Rooter for plumbing and sewer line repair/replacement. I have a home that was built in the 1950's and my sewer lines were backing up on a more consistent basis. Chris the account representative came and took pictures of my lines discovering they were broken. He worked with me on the cost and proceeded with the job. The actual workers were timely and efficient. When digging they found additional work that need to be completed in order to pass inspection. The manager Michael called me and explained what they had found. After he explained the situation, I was extremely pleased that he was willing to go the extra mile to complete the job with the highest standards. The technician arrived within an hour of my call and was excellent! Best experience I've had with a call like this. He was a real problem solver--worked multiple angles to fix my backed up main line in an old house. Couldn't be happier with how things went!

He was friendly and he unclogged my sink and fixed the laziness that was done by someone prior I just think the prices are a little too much for what they do, but it needed done. Sadly there are no dependable local plumbers or handyman in this area.

Exorbitant prices for even minor job…..To replace a valve - 600To replace expansion tank -600I would never call these people….ridiculous… 1000 more I can get full water tank replaced with brand new.

Made it in the day after Christmas, and was able to make a difficult repair to a shower without a plumbing access panel, and a broken piece. He spent the time needed to do the job without us having to cut open and replace our shower. He definitely takes pride in his work and making the customer happy.

Service was good and quick, but they ended up charging me $99 for some kind of membership fee that I was never told about and didn't want. I called them a few times to get it removed, and they kept telling me they would inform management. Pretty sure they tack on extra fees just high enough to improve revenue and just low enough that no one would bother pursuing it too far.I mean, the shower works now, but otherwise this place is a shady scam.

Chaquan came out to fix the other technician's work. He did a great job and saw right away what was the problem. The original technician Jeff, did not do a good job, wrote on our paperwork that he did two repairs, which he did not do and we did not need. He also charged us double what the job should have cost, came an hour late, (10:00), left and came back to start at 2:00, left again to get some supplies, an hour later came back, went again to get something else...and more, just plain didn't do a good job and as said prior, charged us double for what the cost should have been.

I was going to give Mr Rooter 5 stars. However I only gave them 3 because they were supposed to come & put a new toilet in at no charge. Also the basement it starting to smell again. Joe told me that they wanted to come back out I check the work when they brought the toilet. The initial work was done on July 29th. I called about the smell in the basement on Thursday & no one called me back. I really wanted to wait to post my review, however I think waiting almost 2 months is long enough.

In June 2021, I called Mr Plumbing for checking a water heater issue and they responded quickly. I did not know how competitive the quote was but they did a quick job to replace my water heater. However, the invoice does not show the diagnosis why the water was not heated anymore. For reimbursement purpose, I called them for a diagnosis sheet and they agreed to check it for me. But they didn't. I called again after a few weeks, and the person answering my phone call promised the same. No solution. So, after another few weeks, I called again. Now, it is October. I totally lost my hope.

What ever this man makes an hour, it’s not enough. He was so kind and professional. The water heater pooping out came at the most inconvenient time. But he made the issue a little more palatable. 10/10 I would recommend him as well as Mr. Rooter as a company to anyone that needed home plumbing repairs. Thank you Matt Pitts

There was an unexpected back up in my basement drain. Mr. Rooter was helpful and came within the hour. These services run competitively, but it was far under the local repair guy I called. They sent Nick Smiley who was very helpful, fast and efficient. Highly recommended!

Terrible, was told after I got the work done last December that they would be back to pour concrete in the hole they had to dig to fix the pipe. It is now almost the end of September and it still hasn't been done. I've called, my husband has called and we've been told we'd get a call back from the project manager and they have never called us. I'm getting really fed up. I have trip and fallen into the hole, the mailman has almost fallen into it and my dog has almost fallen into it.

They showed up at my door 2 hours after I called. Technician cody was very professional and was quick to explain what he was doing. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough about how upsetting our experience with Mr. Rooter was. We experienced a plumbing emergency in a rental property we own – the downstairs bathroom was having water pour in when the upstairs toilet and shower were used. My regular plumber was unavailable, so I looked online for an emergency plumber. I called a company called “Neighborhood Plumbers” and arranged a visit. I was surprised when Mr. Rooter’s truck pulled up.The plumber, Darion, was unable to definitively diagnose the problem. We learned later he never pulled up the toilet to check it. He told me he thought the problem was in the main stack and we’d have to have the Cleanup Services company come and rip up the walls and floors to identify the problem but not to worry, our homeowner’s insurance would cover that. I should have stopped the process then and there but I didn’t.Eventually, the Cleanup Services Company identified the problem as a blockage in the line and an incorrectly attached toilet flange, problems Darion should have identified immediately. It was 4 days after our original visit before the problem was resolved, causing great inconvenience to my tenants. Before doing the repair work, the second Mr. Rooter plumber, Adam, came to do the work. It took over an hour to get the figures for the estimate, which came in at a whopping huge amount, but I OK’ed it since it had already been so long and I didn’t want to inconvenience my tenants any longer. I did not put the charge on my credit card, however, as I wanted to pay by check for record keeping purposes.When I got the invoice, I did some comparison shopping online, then called the Mr. Rooter company to complain about how high the charges were – more than twice what they should have been according to my research. I eventually spoke to Bob – one of the owners, who said he couldn’t do anything about the charges, but the next time I had a plumbing issue, I should call him privately and “he’d take care of it for me”. The next day, my husband called and had a long conversation with Bob. He asked for a printout of Mr. Rooter’s customary charges, and a more detailed invoice, detailing what was done and how long each procedure took to justify these outrageous charges. Bob refused to send any information, and finally said “Well, I’ve just charged your credit card for the full amount”. I believe this unauthorized use of my credit card is fraudulent, and we immediately called our credit card company to file a dispute. I don’t know how that will be resolved yet.Meanwhile, we are stuck with a mess that we have to get a contractor to fix, for the floor and ceiling demolition that was probably unnecessary. I think the Mr. Rooter Company is in cahoots with the Cleanup Services Company to rip off insurance companies by doing unnecessary work. But that’s a different fight…

My water heater broke down a few days ago and called several companies to repair. Some didn’t work on my brand of heater and one kept dragging me along promising I was on the schedule “tomorrow”. This repeated for a few days and finally got sick of it. Called Mr. Rooter and with in 1 hour a repairman was at my home with a replacement. The repairman quickly removed the old one and had the new one working in a couple hours. Very friendly and polite. I only wish I would of called them first! Great company and outstanding service. This is the second time we've had Ryan from Mr. Rooter come out to fix a leak. He was responsive and so helpful. Although it's never fun to have a leak, it's great that we can count on him to come and fix the issue!

My water heater went out and I called Mr. Rooter. My call was answered immediately in a courteous manner. A plumber was dispatched to my house and arrived within the hour. Cody Luzer was polite, knowledgeable and efficient in analyzing the problem and coming up with a solution. He handled all communication with the company regarding the warranty and kept me aware of the process even though it was after business hours.Cody returned first thing the following morning, removed the old water heater and installed the new one. Sewage had backed up in my basement because of roots clogging my sewer lines in my house and garage. This has been a very hard and lengthy process but Roto Rooter charged a flat fee upfront so I wasn't surprised later. Earl Barrick was especially nice and knowledgeable and worked tirelessly. Everyone was great. The final step to complete the job is tomorrow. I would recommend them and use them again.

Our hot water tank went bad yesterday (leaking everywhere on a Friday night) and we found a great guy. T at Mr. Rooter..he found the cause of all the issues, replaced the water tank and stuck to his $89 cost to come out and diagnose..which comes off the price of the product purchase. He spent alot of time diagnosing and repairing problems that caused this and was extremely nice. Good to know especially in an emergency during peak times.

I bought a house with an ancient septic system, we’re waiting to tap into local sewer expansion project upon completion, but I’m not very experienced in septic systems and need to keep this one running for the foreseeable future. What I learned from the experience was worth more than what I paid for the service.

absolutely the worst. had them come out only to get charged 89 dollars for the technician to tell me i had to call a plumber. who does this? would never call these people again. Funny thing is, that everyone I tell says that I should never called in the first place. They are worse than Gillece for ripping people off. Charge me money to give me advice to call another plumber!!!! And if this page would have let me I would not have even put 1 star!

Will Copney arrived on time when the appointment was scheduled, worked quickly to diagnose my issue (pinhole leak in water line) and acted performed very well to fix the issue and restored water usage in my house. He was very knowledgeable and professional when speaking to myself and explaining to me what was wrong and how he was going to fix it.

We had a sewer backup in the basement after a heavy rain. Mr Rooter responded very quickly: they had a plumber here in a hour to assess, then a whole crew to do the emergency repair. The emergency was resolved and plumbing restored by 5PM. It was a huge relief!

I called Mr. Rooter and they were able to send someone the same day to quote and they were out the next day doing the work. Especially since it was the coldest night of the week. If needed I would have them out again without any hesitation.

When his snaking couldn't resolve the issue his colleague Earl came. Earl was funny, friendly and fixed the problem. Repairs were done the same day I called. Very courteous staff, quality workmanship, and reasonable prices. I would definitely use them again over other local companies.

We have used Mr Rooter for a number of years. Most recently within a few weeks they did two major and expensive jobs for us. On the second job the estimate was over $5000. They gave the estimate on Thursday and scheduled the work for the following Monday. They also took my credit card info prior to the work. On the day of the job there were some discussions on the scope of what they would do and because of some scope changes, the cost dropped by about $500 (not exact). The technician updated our invoice and said he would let the home office know of the change.To my surprise, when I got the credit card bill, the higher amount was charged with no credit. I called Mr Rooter office over three times over as many weeks and was always told that the accounting department would call back -- they never did. My husband called last week and escalated this issue to management and we scanned and sent the corrected bill. We were promised a refund. Now a week later still no refundI am really tired of being ripped off and getting the runaround.I plan to contest the charges with my credit card company since Mr Rooter still has not made good on the promised credit.

Mr. Jackie was in time and wonderful. Fixed our clog and was done in no time. Better service and price compared to the competitors we had dealt with earlier. I would recommend him to anyone that needs plumbing.

He is unstable young man. Was waiting for him, opened the garage door for him to come. He knocks the front door. Came out to look for him, and just said that the door is wide open. He began to screen at me, refused to do the job, I begged him, apologized 100 times for miss understanding . But he left, what a big crime I commuted: told him that the garage door is open. May be he is a good plumber. But he needs professional help.

Horrible experience. This seems to be scam and fraud to earn money.They send you a person for estimate. Person will come and give you a huge estimate that even not considerable/discussable and charged me $89 for showing up.Its easy way to earn money. List an online business, put fake reviews, answer customer call, send a person who will give you very very high estimate. Customer will say no, charge him $89 and leave.I talked to manager but he was rude in responding my call.Never ever experience these guys.

Adam did an amazing job helping us get a new shut off valve for our refrigerator and repairing some piping behind it. He was professional, very informed, friendly and helpful. Our technician Mike was super pleasant and professional and got our sewer drain unclogged super quick. He explained the charges clearly and for coming out on a Sunday, we felt it was a very fair and reasonable price. highly recommend them!

I received exceptional diagnosis and repair planning service from Matt Pitts followed by quality repairs by Chris Smiley. Their professional and courteous handling of my immediate and future questions on the plumbing needs for my home were very appreciated. They ended up addressing emergency repairs that would have been avoided had I accepted a recommended service quoted 18 months prior. These people know what they are talking about and make sure that the job is done to satisfaction. I also had Matt come back to install new shower trim that really elevated the look of my shower.

I guess that previously I was always scared to call in a professional plumber. But Mr. Rooter Plumbing, and especially Bryan Bell who did the work were absolutely amazing to work with. The work was done as promised, and exceeded my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

These guys are great. Very responsive, professional, and quick. Another plumbing company said they'd have to tear up the whole driveway to replace a sewer line when they couldn't clear a clog. One of Mr Rooter's Associates came out and had the drain unclogged in 30 minutes. No need to tear up the whole driveway.I've used them a few times since, and they're always great. And if they don't clear the clog they don't charge you.

Brandon was great. Picked up the toilet I ordered from Cranberry Home Depot and hauled old one away, and replaced a PRV, describing the water pressure issue thoroughly. Would have given Brandon 5 stars but gave 4--not Brandon's fault--because I never received a call from the main office giving me a window when I could expect someone. As a result, I had was waiting around all day before Brandon hot here around 4. But he was great when here!

Earl Barrick was the service professional that came to scope our sewer system. He was very professional, very thorough, and gave great explanations to my husband and me on what the problem was, and what needed to be done. I am very disappointed with your company I called to ask a price and they told me the technician would let me know when he got here, she did not tell me it would be $89.00 just to come out and tell me what I could do to fix the problem I went to Home Depot and purchased the item to fix it but still couldn’t get the old flange off to replace it. Tim told me what I could do to fix it and it would cost about $450.00 for them to fix it. He also said we would not be charged the $89. If we called them back out to do it. I called a local plumber out to fix it the next day he repaired the flange and set the new toilet for me for $65.00. I would not recommend your company to anyone.Thanks David Lamphear

Darian was my tech let me tell you, from a small business owners point of view I would hire this man in a heart beat. VERY professional polite very knowledgeable I could see me having a beer watching the game this guy so all around great experience!

Called these guys over a clogged drain.The guy who showed up was very pushy trying to sell me a hydro jet drain cleaning for the drain outside the house, saying it was absolutely necessary, without even looking at the drain inside which was the one actually clogged.He quoted it at $1500, that's at least twice the market price in the area I live. Absolutely outrageous.When asked why such a high price the only explanation I got was they work with flat fees 🤣So I paid him $100 just for him to gtf out of my house.The next morning I went to Home Depot, rented a snake and fixed the problem myself in 45 minutes and $52 (plus the $100 donation I gave Mr Rooter).Their reviews on Google are great, but if you look at BBB, TrustPilot, Angie's List, Glassdoor and other websites it tells a completely different story about their business practices and modus operandi (outrageously overpriced often unnecessary work and collecting dispatch fees after high balling you)Go to these sites and read the stories.There is no way their positive Google reviews are legit.I took the bait but never again.

The technician was great. I started to install the faucet but realized it was beyond my abilities. He got the old faucet off and the new one on in short order. It looks great and the old, leaky faucet is gone. It was a little pricey, but worth every penny.

Bryan came out today to take a look at the water issue in basement. He listened tl what I had to say about the issue and what I thought the issue was. He looked at several different spots in our basement before running the shower and checking the drain. Brain was very thorough and point out so good things that were previously missed with the shower and drain. I had a sewer backup flood the basement. I called multiple plumbers and they all said they could be there in 12-24 hours. Mr Rooter said they could send someone out in an hour. Cody was there in 45 minutes, jumped right to work and had the drain clear FAST! He was professional, kind, and explained what the problem was, how he would fix it, and what it would cost. Price was more than fair and he even showed me the clog on his camera in the drain. Super helpful, very polite and professional, on time and priced reasonably.

Horrible experience and would never recommend. They cancelled and rescheduled on me 2 times before finally coming out. Had an issue with my water heater. Chaquan was the technician and was completely clueless. Looked at it for 30 seconds and told me he didn’t feel comfortable repairing it and would rather just replace the whole thing for over $2000. Mind you it’s only 5 years old and just needed a new pilot assembly. Then charged me $98 just for coming out and not doing anything. Had a different plumber come out the next day and they fixed it for $450 and didn’t charge anything to come out. Would never recommend mr rooter or chaquan to anyone!

They got us a plumber to clear a drain with in 2 hours after calling. He did the best he could with the cold and set us up for a better cleaning of the sewer pipe the next day. So under the lifetime warranty from the previous sewer replacement we did 6 years earlier.

T did a great job of getting our hot water tank replaced and didn't seem to mind my thousand questions.

They showed up in a timely manner. Was able to get the problem fixed within 2 hrs. Our guys name was Will. He gave great advice on how to keep up on the water lines. Also helped us to diagnose a problem near water meter that he was not even there to fix. Took the time to talk with us, and also helped my elderly grandmother bring groceries in from the car with out being asked. The price was a little high, but overall we would recommend due to customer service and how fast they fixed the problem!

They didn’t show up when they were supposed to, they lied about why they were a day late and also tried to blame me for their mistakes.They didn’t furnish us with the before and after video until we hounded them and never returned phone calls.We contacted the owner and the home office in Texas with no response.This is not a customer friendly organization.

It's never fun (or cheap) to call a plumber, but from the initial contact to the last, these folks are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable.

First off, this is not about the plumber that did the job. He was fantastic and I'd give him 10 stars. Dude was great and deserves a raise and an extra 3 weeks of vacation.The poor review is for the $670 bill to unclog a pipe in my bathroom. I used them because they were the only place of many I called that had someone free to come out. This was my 1st and absolutely last service with them entirely due to the outrageous price.

CHANGING MY REVIEW!!! Will hadn’t even done anything when he first got here, but said he still had to charge me a service fee of $200. Then he said he could run a snake down it & it would cost $250 & eliminate the service fee. So I said to go ahead & run the snake. Then he said he couldn’t do that because it was too clogged, so he had to jet it, which cost almost $900! He gave me an estimate for almost $8,000 to fix what he said was the problem. He tried to pressure me into contracting them by saying he’d take the $900 I paid to have it jetted off, if I contracted them then & there. Luckily I didn’t do that. I had a second company come out the next day. They checked it & said the problem wasn’t even what Will said it was, and then he fixed the problem same day for $1,000. Glad I didn’t let Will pressure me into contracting them, but I wish I wouldn’t have wasted the $900 to have him jet it out! I will definitely never be calling Mr. Rooter again & I will strongly advise others against it!!!

1st time using this company, called at 10AM on a Saturday was directed to my local office and got upfront pricing. ($89 for them to come out and look at the issue. They would tell you how much the job will be after looking at it you can accept or decline) Tech had arrived by 1:30 Anthony was able to clear it in minutes. Very professional, and friendly, even gave a warranty if drain clogs again in the near future they would come back. Definitely will use again if needed in the future.

Joe came this morning on a cold day and saved us from a sewer back up disaster! He first ran camera down the drain and located the problem, and he was able to unclog the house trap for us without even charging us! He warned us the old cast iron trap would not last long and it's only going to be a temporary fix, but this was such a timely help!

The leak occured under the kitchen drain.Mr. Brando Mannarino figured out the reason and explained it to me. It required removing the pipe and installing a new busket system. The cost reflected the high quality (stainless steel) of this system. I was impressed by Brandon's professional knowledge and the accuracy of his work.

They sent a new employee who did not understand how to fix. He ordered two parts that took 3 weeks to be delivered. I had to hire another plumber to remedy I would never recommend Roto rooter to my worst enemy.

Easy to set up same day service. Our pipes had frozen before and the company that did the pipes had come previously and said there's nothing they can do at the time but that they will gladly take payment for coming over and to call them again next time they freeze. Luckily we did not call the original company again and called Mr. Rooter instead. Brandon came promptly, told us that we have PEX pipe which cannot be heated to thaw but at least will not burst. He pointed out issues with our insulation. There was nothing he could do at the time but we had issues with sewer gas in the basement as well so he diagnosed the issue for us and offered to return to fix it. He did not take any payment from us that day and came back in a couple days to re-do our pipes. He was fast and clean and did a nice job. Would definitely use Mr. Rooter again!

It took him 2.5 hours, but Earl never gave up and got the job done. He worked his butt off and I am completely satisfied.

The service and technician were excellent. My only complaint was the cost. No breakdown of labor and material costs, but I conservatively estimate $250 / he. I do think these guys are really good and I'll use them again. Kirby Nelson was excellent.

What impressed me the most was they unclogged a badly clogged drain. While the price was considerably, it re-clogged not only once but twice a few days later within a week or two. They offered to come out and fix it for free and back up their guarantee. In the end, they came out to work on it the second and third times but eventually didn’t need to because the water worked itself out. But still, “free?“ In this day and age? Very impressive. I highly recommend it. I tried to other places In my hometown before Mr Rooter and they offered me appointment dates at least a week out. The first time, Mr Rooter came the next day. The second and third times it was same day. Same day service people. I now only have one plumber in my phone on speed dial and that’s Mr Rooter.

Brain was very helpful to my problem he told me what need to be done and they will be out there on Friday. Rooter have good people working for them and I'm glad because i won't have to worry about any more sewage back in my basement once they fix it.

He was here within an hour of calling, showed us exactly what was wrong and listed our options. We decided to replace the entire tank which he immediately went to get and was efficient in installing.

Called early Saturday morning. They came out in less than two hours. Technician was Desimond. We thought it would initially be an easy job for the router, but turned out to be anything but!! Desimond perserved through the work. Eventually we made some progress, and the draining was going better, but not quite perfect. I feel like at most points most plumbers would have quit, but Desimond agreed that we needed to hit it again and once again got out all the tools and went to work again. Great work ethic and very friendly too!In the end, did we pay a bit for this? Ya, but we were ready for that (we had issues with this drain system before and used a different company that wasn't as thorough.) However, I definitely feel like they worked for it and I'm glad I did not try to DIY this myself.

Both Gabe and Brandon were absolutely awesome. Brandon was really knowledgeable and communicated everything perfectly. The whole experience from start to finish was as good as it could be when you are dealing with a leak. Even the receptionist was friendly and kept me up-to-date on arrival times. Mr. Rooter rocks! We had to have old (60 years) sewage pipes replaced in our basement. Mike, Sean and the whole crew went above and beyond what we expected. This was a huge job and they worked hard and provided more service that made a positive difference in our basement. Mike was very knowledgeable in how to complete the job. Every person on the crew was polite and I felt comfortable with all of them in my home. We found out that this kind of work is complex and labor intensive. Earl Barrick was very proffesional and very easy to deal. Very hard worker.

Charged $89 to show up and quote $700 for putting a wax seal on a toilet. I Refuse to believe this company has 5* with how they run business. Like other reviews say, they charge a “show up” fee and then offer services at a price you have to refuse. Easy $89 for 10 minutes of work. Why Google even has this listing up and how it has 5* I don’t know, but it reeks of shady business. Will look for alternatives and change review if it really does cost that much to put a $10 seal on a toilet.Edit: I did find a plumbing company that did the job very well. Turns out it wasn’t even a wax seal (misdiagnosis on my part), but a problem with the tightening the water tank. The solution costed much less than 700, even with a water supply valve replacement I added on. It seems as though the this company is extremely focused on making a profit more so than finding the best/economically-efficient solution for the customer… I won’t fault them for adopting this business tactic, but I’d rather support a company which adopts the model of retaining happy/satisfied customers for the long run.

Very professional, good communication, super speedy response.Problem appeared to be solved (blocked drain running clear) but next day it was back.Mr rooter sent someone else very quickly (no extra call out charge). Turned out we needed to replace all the pipes under our basement. Painful news but they had a digging team there within two hours and they have been very good explaining what needs to be done and why. They are also mostly managing to keep us able to use the plumbing while they work.Work not finished yet but so far still very happy with them. Thanks Joe.

Matt arrived to my house within 30minutes of my call.His mastery of his craft was evident by the way he explained many things including how he had to check the house water pressure first, before replacing my leaking potable water expansion tank. When he determined the pressure was way too high, he explained in detail why and how he would have to replace the water pressure regulator before installing the new tank. He explained every step of the process, and he patiently and politely answered all my questions in great detail. Since I bought the five year extension, he checked all exposed pipes and faucets at the end of his visit, clearly noting what improvements needed to be made to some hoses and faucets.I am not happy that my thermal expansion tank was leaking and that I had to incur two important repair expenses, in addition to having to miss a daylong prepaid teacher PD workshop, but I am grateful that it was a polite, intelligent, expert, and patient professional who serviced my plumbing emergency. As it turns out, by checking and lowering the water pressure from 130 to 60 (!!!), Matt spared me future leaking disasters.Thank you, Mr. Rooter, and thank you Matt.

Fantastic service from Mr. Rooter! They were at our home a couple hours after being called. Our sewer line had backed up into our garage. The tech Orlando (693) was absolutely amazing. We can't say enough good things about him. Very knowledgeable about his job. He was able to get a camera down into the line and quickly determined what the problem was. We were able to see on the camera that the terracotta pipe was busted from the massive tree that was only several feet away. It was late at night and he was able to temporarily clear the pipe just to get the line flowing. The price he charged us was WELL BELOW what we expected because the entire pipe has to be replaced. He truly went above and beyond to give the company a five star review from us. Thanks again Orlando!!

I’m changing my review from 5 stars to 2, to reflect how Mr. Rooter has been treating us since we started service with them. They forget about you, do not care that you are unable to use service in part of your own home. For the past almost month, they would no call, no show. I would get no updates unless I called and was confused about why no one showed up. Sometimes they’d even say we slipped through the cracks and they forgot about us or skipped us. We’d get it, if it were once or twice because they are a BIG company. However this happened every day, about 6 times. We began to get angry obviously as we are paying them thousands of dollars, and they just forget? I decided to stop calling them to see what would happen.. it’s been over a week at this point and NO ONE has showed up to continue the work they’ve started or even call to update on when they might be able to come. It’s clear they forgot about us. So for weeks, we’ve not been able to use our garage because they tore it up and have piles of rock and dirt. There is raw sewage because our pipes still need attention. The workers that do show up are mostly great, and kind, but it is not worth it at this point. I wish they would just show up and finish their job.Please, for big projects, do not use Mr. Rooter. The only reason I am giving them two stars is because when people do show up, they are kind and knowledgeable. Still, use a local owned, smaller company who would be appreciative.Per my original review, Anthony still gets 5 stars. He was initially able to come help very quickly, and was super kind and knowledgeable. He helped us understand everything within our new home rather than just doing his job and leaving. We cannot say thank him enough. Will hopefully always be able to use him if we need more help!

Mr. Rooter was highly responsive and was able to get out immediately. They opened up a clogged sewer line another plumber said they couldn’t. The full repair quote was also much more affordable than other quotes I received. I’ll be happy to use them again.

I would most definitely recommend Chris Smiley and Mr. Rooter to anyone in need of plumbing issues. Chris was very professional and did wonderful work on our leaking hot water heater. He explained everything he was going to do to fix necessary repairs and went over the cost break down.

I called to have an outside drain unclogged.Technican arrives ,I tell him about the drain,dirt,some grass thin roots,no tree.Doesn’t look down it, it’s dark, you would need a light to see .He asks me where does it drain out?walks to edge of the yard doesn’t look for it at all.Told me he didn’t want to risk his snake.Here is the terrible part. Technician recommended for me to cut my pvc pipe to the ground and get a bend for my downspout and just have it pour directly onto my driveway. I’m disabled by the way, I had my cane with me.The reason I called to begin with !The answering service was great I told them that’s what I needed.Get this when I paid 40 dollar dispatch fee in cash. Told me didn’t have change said I was fine with that, said a lot of people get confrontational over that dollar. Oh and wouldn’t snake but offered a 895 dollar service. I guess that’s why he gets to keep a lot of 1$ ,refuse to do the work you set your appointment for and get a 39 dollar fee.Because the customer is obviously going to refuse.How easy to get them fees , Just tell the customer outrageous prices that they must refuse and get 39 dollars for a 15 minute visit. Disappointed,hurt and have to pay another plumber who agreed to do what I tried to get done here.Blaise HalePs I was charged 39 not 89! Why the difference? Looks very shady to me.

We reached out to Mr. Rooter and within 3 hours of the call, someone showed up to our door. Will Copney, our service professional, was very polite, helpful, and professional. He took the time to explain our system to us and help us understand how it works. In the event of an emergency where we need quick response time and efficiency, I'll call Mr. Rooter.

DON C and Bob W were wonderful. They were very professional and courteous. They explained what they needed to do, cleaned up after themselves and were a pleasure to have in my home. Within 2 hours of a call to Mr. Rooter, Bryan Bell arrived to initially give me a quote on replacing a gas pipe to hook up to a new dryer. Some other work was also identified by me. The price was okayed by me and as it was near the end of the day he was able to do some prep work. He arrived the next day on time and with all the appropriate equipment and material. Bryan was personable, knowledgeable, willing to come up with alternates and cleaned up after. He is a master plumber which is imperative to have on a gas project. I've been looking for a plumber that I can without hesitation call on. Bryan Bell/Mr. Rooter is being added to my contact list.

The plumbers that arrived were very professional however the pricing for the work that needed to be done was at least 6 times what another company did it for. Not only did they want me to pay a $89.00 dispatch fee but they quoted me over $500.00 to replace a hose bib. I respectfully declined and called another plumber that was far more reasonable and only charged me 135.00.

They came within an hour on a Saturday afternoon. The young man that came was so professional and nice. The price was more than reasonable. I will use and recommend them all the time.

Had a pipe burst in my garage during Christmas. T was over very promptly after we called, deftly assessed the issue with the piping, offered some repair options to give me a chance to manage the repair cost, and ultimately replaced the piping very efficiently and skillfully. He was very professional and ended up saving me some money in the end which I appreciated as well. Overall a great experience and relief!

I had to go to work. Mr. Sailor told me I did not have to hang around, told me to go to work. When the job was complete, he closed the garage door and left. When I returned home, the work was completely done. Even though it was supposed to take 2 days, it was done in 1 day. My wife and I are very pleased at the job that he and his crew did. Service was dispatched within an hour of calling, even for the non emergency need as I had. Pricing was terrific and was not charged an after hour fee (around 6:30pm). Service provider’s name was Desimond. He went above and beyond and was extremely informative on the service i needed (laundry room water and drainage), and gave me quotes on services that I am expecting to need in the near future (camera inspection of sewage lines) .Would certainly use again.

They came out and tried to sell me parts I didn’t need. Quoted $1700 when Armstrong charged under $500 for everything including labor. I do not recommend this company at all!

We have a 2 year old that loves to put stuff in the toilet. After searching for 25 minutes or so, Mr. Rooter found the small item that was causing the clog. We were so relieved and happy with service we received.

The Technician was on time and diagnosed the issue quickly. He provided me options for repair with clear explanation on why the issue existed and what the best course of action was to avoid future issues. Overall I was very pleased with the work.

DON'T DO IT! I would never recommend Mr. Rooter Plumbing. I called Mr. Rooter last Sunday. The pilot light went out on my hot water tank. They were not able to send anyone on Sunday but did send someone late morning on Monday. The technician tried to light the pilot but it would not work. The tank was installed in 2003 so the technician recommended a new one. I asked how much it would be and the quote he gave me was $2,016. Realizing that it was extremely high, I asked the price of the hot water tank. He told me around $700. I then asked for an itemized list of the cost. He told me he did not have one and I would need to call the company. I had been without hot water for over 24 hours so I was anxious to have the situation remedied. The technician told me that in order for him to do the work, I needed to sign an emergency work order. Emergency? It was not an emergency. He was there during business hours on a Monday. The technician was able to finish the job completely in about an hour and a half. He only needed to install the tank and nothing else. He was able to use the existing vent. While he was working, I called Mr. Rooter and asked for an itemized list of costs. I was told that the, Man who does that isn't in right now and that they would get back to me. Of course, that didn't happen. I also sent an email to the company and not surprisingly, I received no response. This was NOT an emergency. $1,000 or even $1,200 would be a fair price for this job but over $2,000? And no itemized list of the cost?

Mike Jones was pleasant , fast and efficient. It was a good experience to have someone knowledgeable and friendly replace our kitchen faucet.

The company is very pushy with wanting a credit card # rather than actually listening to what the customer needs are.You have to speak through a receptionist rather than talk to the tech, very frustrating to call several times rather than speaking directly to the tech.I explained several times, had to repeat myself several times to the receptionist when making an appointment.Overall, poor customer service. No email or breakdown to show exactly what the tech did for our $90 service charge.I would call around to other companies before Mr Rooter.

Absolute WORST on the market. Plumber showed up and literally had not a clue what he was doing. Could not unclog our sewer and used a kitchen snake to try to get out a clog in a sewer line. Kept calling his boss to help and instead of the boss offering to come out and help or come the next day, they just said we cannot get it and wanted to charge us $5,000 to rip up our basement. Called a wonderful and reliable plumber the next day and within MINUTES got the clog remedied and taken care of. These people are crooks and should be reported. WORST WORST WORST! Hire people that know what they are doing OR follow up with your customers. I cannot say enough horrible things about this company and my experience.

Excellent service today! We ended up with a clog towards the main sewage line. Lee and Bob worked very hard to rid the clog. Tried everything possible and ended up being able to clear it outside working in a confined space. They used a camera to make sure it was cleared. Also made sure everything was clean and sanitized. Very happy with their professional service.

Brandon Mannerino was my plumbing technician and he did a great job helping me unclog two drains at my house. He was on time, respectful in use of a face mask the whole time, super friendly and helped educate me on how the plumbing in my house works. Is my starvation for human interaction during this pandemic isolation potentially swaying my review? Who’s to say... but he was a great guy to chat with while watching him pull hair and gunk out of my pipes. 10/10 would use Mr. Rooter again.

My parents had a plumbing emergency. Their plumber was Tyler Smith, who came out right away and worked for 2 days getting their bathroom up and running again. He was courteous, professional, honest and very hard working. No one wants a plumbing emergency, but I'm glad we had someone like Tyler to help us out.

My first point of contact after I set up my appointment was Nicki (Nikki), she was VERY kind and professional on the phone. She provided reassurance in my time of plumbing panic letting me know that everything was going to be fine and she’s here to help! Then Angelo arrived. Prior to his arrival I received texts and live gps to review how far he was I LOVED that! Angelo was SO respect of my house, he was VERY professional, quick and kind. He was upfront about costs and what he would complete for me! Pricing was fair and affordable. I had this SAME problem previously, went to a different company (started with a G and rhymes with peace) and they were “cheaper” but didn’t do the best job. They tried to tell me that to fix it, the price would be 5K - 10K (hard eye roll). Nevertheless, this is an awesome company!! If you found Mr. Rooter, just got with them!! I promise you, you won’t regret it!

Had an agreement in place with Restano. Signed a bid and waited to schedule an appointment. A week went by with no contact from them. I called to find out what was going on and was told someone would get back to me. Almost a week later again and nothing. Meanwhile, I've got water damage in my kitchen and a shower I cant use. My next call was to cancel that order with Restano and see who was actually interested in helping me out.The work was SCHEDULED and DONE within 3 HOURS of placing a call to Mr. Rooter. Desimond showed up within an hour and knocked it out quickly. He was able to accomplish this without damage to anything else. The other guy wanted to knock a hole in the ceiling and create more work for me patching it up later.Am I happy? Yes. Now I can get on with renovating the rest of what was being held up by this plumbing hiccup.I was 2 weeks behind schedule because of Restano's poor service but back in business now thanks to Mr. Rooters' quick response.

Will Madden did a great job replacing the thermal expansion tank on my hot water heater and adjusting the water pressure in my house. He was professional and very knowledgeable about the proper settings and the impact on all plumbing fixtures when water pressure is too high. I would recommend Mr Rooter and Will to anyone looking for a plumber.

He thoroughly explained what the problem was with our backed-up sewer, and he fully resolved the issues - two separate clogs, one at the house trap but another one way down at the junction with the sewer main - within an hour. He is a consummate professional, very efficient. While I hope I don't need sewer services again, I wouldn't hesitate to call Mr. Rooter if necessary.

I manage propeties all over the northeast, I am 4 hours away from my property in West mifflin Pa. John runs the commercial side of the Mr rooter office, He and his staff are amazing! Ryan, Billy, and countless others are the best! They treat my property like it was their own. Will was at my house yesterday, he arrived on time, understood the problem, explained the invoicing, and worked very hard to resolve the problem. He was a pleasure to work with.

Mr. Rooter scheduled me quickly and sent Nadjim on short notice to install a sink. Not only was it overpriced at $500, it was poor work a competitor had to fix. I called them to diagnose the issue they caused in the first place and they required a diagnostic fee should I not proceed with their services - this is insane because it should have been under warranty. When I asked for ballpark pricing (which is fair considering I was ripped off the first time), their manager patronizingly replied, between $0 and $100,000. Just stick to smaller business where possible, what a disappointing experience.

I've used Mr. Rooter services for at least 16 years. The technicians are always on time, polite, and very personable. I always trust their opinions about what needs to be done, and have never felt pressured to agree to extra services. The pricing is always reasonable.Today I got a text before the technician arrived, including his photograph so I would recognize him when he arrived. I really appreciated the extra security of knowing he was who I was expecting, before having him into the house. Great idea!

I had an unexpected late afternoon emergency on a Sunday, and they were one of the few places available to respond...and did so within 30 minutes. Rob was at the house shortly, explained the issue, answered questions and was very professional and courteous.He returned the next day to install a new tank; everything was completed in a timely manner, and he even went to get a new part to replace one that was unexpectedly no longer usable. He was a lifesaver!

My tech was Marcus ( his name isn’t on your site). He was very professional, personable and has a great work ethic. I was very comfortable with him in my home. He explained all that he did and answered any questions. Very thorough and cleaned up. One would never know that anyone was working here. I would recommend him to anyone.

We used Mr. Rooter a year ago to unclog a basement line. They arrived quickly however that’s when things went bad. The plumber was able to unclog the line for the low price of $1000… At this time we were in a tight spot and needed the line unclogged then as there was backup forming. After he left there was still massive amounts of sewage and waste left all over the basement and back deck. He also quoted us $12,000 saying part of our pipe was collapsed and we needed to have it dug up and replaced. I told him we weren’t interested after the horrible job already performed. This year the same drain began to clog and according to Mr. Rooter they have a 3 year performance guarantee. So they came back out to try to unclog the line again however this time very little effort was made and he was here and gone in 15 mins. This second man also quoted us $6000 for a repair that did not sound correct. After he left I had another plumbing company come out. Not only did they fix my problem they did it for $90… they also said both quotes I was given by Mr. Rooter were incorrect and had absolutely nothing to do with the issue at hand. Also those problems did not exist at all. This company will rip you off and then try to rip you off more! I spent $1000 and my problem was never properly fixed and to find out it was able to be done for 1/10th of that price is infuriating. I will never use this company again nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. STAY AWAY!

I ended up needing to get a a hydro jet done on my sewer line. The first plumber unfortunately wasn't able to get the clog cleared, but when the next plumber came with camera and hydro jet he had it cleared and cleaned in like 10 mins. Mr Vasquez was very astute and professional and I was pleased with his service.

Very difficult to get pricing on phone. Stated $89 for service call and the plumber will give pricing. Not a problem there. Plumber arrives very friendly. We go over situation and he goes to his truc . Before any work is started he states to snake the line it would be $190. Almost $300 to snake a drain. When looking to site to write this review an ad pops up stating a $95 dollar sewer line cleanin . Why was I not quoted this price. Will never deal with them again. Found a competitor before calling Mr. Rooter for $64 to snake and give estimate if anything further was needed. Just had to wait a day or 2 because of the holiday.

We had a sewage clog that backed up into our basement floor drain, flooding a small portion of the mechanical room. Called them and the first technician that came out was responsive and talked through the process of what would be needed and had enough experience to get the correct service and not waste our money. Second technician was Tyler who immediately went to work, took the time to show/explain what he was doing, and in about 20 minutes had the issue resolved. Would recommend.

Wanted to provide a better review as our initial experience with Mr. Rooter was great, but three months later the negative has outweighed any positives. If you have work that requires their excavation team, you should probably look elsewhere, as they do not communicate with their customers. When paying a company thousands of dollars to do repair work, the bare minimum they can do is keep you updated when they're not going to complete the work in a timely manner. First called Mr. Rooter in mid-November for a backed up sewer line, and replacement work began in mid-December. We were told they'd come back to finish the work in a couple weeks, as they were unprepared to do so at the time. However, we were still charged for the work before it was completed. Two months later, multiple follow up attempts and two scheduled appointments where their crew did not show up/did not call to reschedule (or even simply call to tell us they weren't coming), the work is still not done. We've called Mr. Rooter numerous times for updates in the past month, but every time we're told their Excavation Manager, Bill, will have to give us a call back. However, Bill either never receives these messages from the person taking the call, or he simply chooses not to respond, as we never receive a call back from him. Since their most recent no call/no show last week, we've been told three times that they would call us back, and still have yet to hear back from anyone...

This is our 2nd experience with Earl and we can't say enough great things about his work! Very professional, experienced, and he always gets things done in an efficient manner. THANK YOU, Earl!!

we thought we had a backed up sewer line and they were able to come out the next morning after we called. anthony came and checked things out, and luckily we didn’t have a backed up sewer line. anthony gave us some good info to maintain our drainage and noticed that we actually had a lot of ground water coming in (result of a cracked drain pipe), so he gave us some suggestions for future repairs. super friendly and helpful, will do business with them again!

He tried his best to get the pipe opened but as it was a very old pipe and he didn't have a camera on his truck to enable him to see what was obstructing the electric snake he couldn't get the pipe opened. They were out in an hour for diagnosis of our main line backup and then had crew out to dig a temporary sewer line soon after. This probably saved my marriage. Woke up to our water heater pipes busted and spraying water everywhere. More than likely was doing it for over 12hrs and Mr. Rooter was here 15min after calling. Two young guys showed up looked at the problem and 2hrs later it was fixed. What more can you ask for!

I’m giving three stars on this. The technicians that came were extremely knowledgeable and hard working. My issue was not with them, they were consummate professionals. My problem was with the pricing that this job entailed. I had a leaking bypass valve on a water softener that I need to replace. The Mr. Rooter company charged me $540 to essentially put in a small piece of pipe to disconnect the leaking valve and remove the water softener from our plumbing system. The entire job took less than an hour and the pipe that was installed was less than 1ft of copper. Because Mr. Rooter works on pre-determined flat-rate pricing, the stock price for the piece pipe was $438 plus a flat dispatch fee of $90 and a fuel surcharge of $10... I’m sorry but this amounted to highway robbery... Mr. Rooter can do better with their pricing, this was excessively expensive for so simple a job.

Had our water header worked on twice. Replaced elements, work for a day but no hot water again. Called Mr Rooter back sent someone out within an hour. Found out was a bad wire inside. Thank you for your fast service.

Dealt with me honestly in extremely difficult circumstances. My main sewer line failed, and they quoted me a price to replace it. Then they started digging, and discovered that the city sewer was absurdly deep, and that the repair would therefore be much more time consuming and difficult than expected. Nonetheless, they honored their original price quote, knowing full well that the price couldn't possibly cover the cost of digging that deep. Six months later, the sewer blocked again. They investigated at no cost, and discovered that the ground had settled a lot (again because of the extreme depth), and the settling had broken the pipe. They fixed it again at no cost, saying we stand by our work. There's no question that they absorbed a big economic loss in order to be honest and provide the service that they promised. Exceptional. When I told a friend, he said, wow, that's an honest plumber.

Cody came on short notice to fix a leak in our upstairs bathroom floor by the sink. Once he got a look at the pipes in the wall, it turned out they were corroded all the way down to the basement and it turned into a big and complex project. He worked late to make sure we could turn the water on to the rest of the house for the evening. He cleaned up each day and was careful not to leave any messes. We really appreciated his three days of work replacing all the pipes in the bathroom. Thanks to his efforts we have a working shower upstairs with new pipes which we can use until we can schedule a full renovation to update the bathroom. He made this process less stressful because by the end of the first day we felt like the project was in good hands.

After being nearly 3 hours late which I believe is more the company's fault than the plumbers' which turned out to be a small fiasco (between us and their dispatch) over a scheduled appointment that they were unable to keep their word on... Two gentlemen showed up to repair and rebuild a clogged sewer in our basement, and did a fantastic job! They really put some thought into their work, to make sure that we would be absolutely happy with the final product. It's only been a few minutes since they've left but I've got a good feeling that they did a great job, as they didn't hesitate to explain their process and thoughts throughout. Also both gentlemen were extremely polite and very nice to our young children. I would highly recommend Adam and his associate.
