5-Star Air and Plumbing

5 Star Air is fantastic. Brian came here twice. Once for my furnace and again for leaks in my bathroom. Excellent work. Fast and reasonable! They are now my go to for any heat/plumbing. If only they were electricians too! I highly recommend!

I moved into a new house with a clogged tub. We had another company come look at it. They quoted us over 1000 dollars to fix it and disnt even attempt to snake it. Dan came out and did his thing and now our tub drains fantastic. 👌

Brian was very professional and efficient. I needed a new float valve and a new seat (the old one was stuck and I couldn’t remove it). I was very pleased with the workmanship and that he was able to fit me in the same day. Very impressed.

Dan V is the best. He shows up on time, communicates well and does the job well. We've had him come multiple times and every time it's been an amazing job. Dave is great as well but nothing beats Dan coming to our house and getting the job done.

Dan did an excellent job. He replaced our hot water tank and expansion tank in less than two hours. He answered all of our questions and did an excellent job cleaning up as well. I spoke multiple times to the owner of 5 star as well who was very helpful and worked through all of our issues with our home warranty. I would highly recommend and we will be using them again.

After 4 no show appointments by another plumber (without even calling to say they weren't going to show up), I found 5-Star Air through Yelp. A few messages back and forth to outline what we needed (a new gas fireplace hooked up), we had an estimate, date and time established. The serviceman showed up exactly within the window I was given, looked at the work to be done, quoted an exact price (by the way it was actually LESS than the estimate...that NEVER happens!) and got to work. The tech was totally professional and knew exactly what needed to be done. Few hours later we were enjoying our newly installed fireplace! Great job and many thanks to 5-Star Air. These guys are now our go to plumbers!! Follow up: the owner even called to be sure we were 100% satisfied with the job.

I called several companies to get some assistance with my heating situation I called five star the woman I spoke to she was very nice and very helpful with my concern she immediately got someone on the phone to call me to set up an appointment to come out and evaluate my situation and within days they were out here to install a brand new heating system the gentleman who showed up he was very professional kind and courteous he understood my situation and was very sensitive to my problem he immediately got to work no problems no concerns he came back to finish what he has started on the schedule day as promised and also took care of all clean up he did an amazing job And I would definitely recommend five star for your needs I will definitely use them again thank you five-star for helping me out of my situation great job.

This company is impressive. They were able to come right away and fix an issue with the garbage disposal. The owner was so helpful. The tech that came went above and beyond. He dealt with the home warranty company easily and professionally. He even let my 1year old sit by him and “ help” him fix the sink. He was great and super friendly with our dog. He replaced our disposal perfectly and quickly.
These guys are great! Great customer service! Great people! We will only use them now.

I recently had my AC unit checked and cleaned. The tech Josh did an awesome job. He arrived on time, explained the work he was doing, and provided recommendations for how to keep the unit running efficiently. Will definitely use them again.

Josh is the man! After a terrible time with the warranty company Josh and 5 star air really came through and fixed everything.

I can't say it enough-the service and experience excellent! Our AC stopped working, and an appointment was promptly made to get it fixed. Josh was punctual, very friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled. Our thermostat also gave us trouble which he kindly helped to set up and get things running. He did a great job diagnosing and fixing the problems with our older unit and explained everything to us, which is something other companies won't always do. Pricing was very reasonable, and our AC is working again. We will definitely use the company again

We just moved to Pittsburgh, and when a wayward pipe decided to spew unmentionable stuff all over our cellar floor and we discovered there was no way to stopper our main bathroom sink, we needed help fast. Dave and his team at 5-Star Air came to our rescue. They were fast, friendly and professional, and they got the jobs done at a reasonable price. I had a clogged main sewer line. Dan V came out and cleared the line for me. He also went as far as using the hose to completely clean out the trap. Great work!

These guys went above and beyond, staying and working for 14 hours to get our furnace replaced, gas lines updated, and all of our radiators bled and putting out heat. They didn't charge more for the extra time it ended up taking, they just did it all cheerfully. Highly recommend,

We would highly recommend 5 Star for any job you need! We had renters smell gas, and the gas company informed us that some of the old valves in the basement were leaking. Dan came out first thing the following morning to assess the situation. He was thorough and explained the various issues. They gave us options and answered any and all questions we had. It allowed us to make a decision that was best for us.
They scheduled us the following day and had the job done! They communicated every step of the way (both Dan and Dave) and were friendly, fair, and professional. We highly recommend them!

Dave and crew have bailed us out of emergency plumbing issues multiple times. They are exceptional to work with and will always be our go-to

The job I needed wasn't major, but still needed done. Brian came and assessed what needed to be done. Luckily, he was the one who came to repair it. He showed up on time and got it done very quickly. Not a fan of this company. We have been without working A/C for over 3 months because they kept running into more issues. Also, their employees are very unreliable and never on time. Do not use this company if you have an option.

Call these guys for your service needs. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Dave is a skilled, honest, and pleasant-mannered technician. He had our AC up and running in less than two hours; it would have been less, but he was handling calls to the main office from his mobile that day, as well.

Another local HVAC company with a very good rating and reputation had previously sent a tech out that replaced the electronic board inside, but he took one look at the AC unit outside and said we needed a new unit. Then, that company priced out a new unit with labor between $4000 and $6000 depending on which new AC unit we wanted based on brand and SEER (efficiency) rating.

Dave came in and assured us he could fix it...that day. Parts on-hand. He replaced the parts in the AC unit. Then he looked at the HVAC system in the house and confirmed that the tech from the other company had not wired the system properly, so the furnace was not operational. Dave fixed that, too. Then he repaired the severed wire to the thermostat that the tech from the other company had cut.

For just a few hundred dollars, the issue was fixed. Instantly, my stress level decreased. The heat and humidity in the house dissipated and we were all comfortable. It didn't require thousands of dollars and a new AC unit, just someone skilled and honest enough to do the job right. Dave delivered! 5-Star gets a five-star rating from us. Don't bother calling the other guys. Call 5-Star!

Dave and Bryan were great. They were friendly, helpful, and honest and also helped us out in a tight time frame on two separate occasions. One of the times was around the holidays and they did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend 5-Star Air, as Dave is great and very responsive. Bryan did an excellent job fixing the plumbing issue (water heater and pressure regulator) at our house. They are my first phone call if I have a plumbing issue in the future!

These people apparently can’t drive to save their lives. One of their vans completely ignored the yield sign when merging onto 376 in Edgewood and almost hit me.

The tech who came to my house was very knowledgeable of the problem took him a few minutes and he was done repairing my furnace very nice and pleasant guy thank you

I called 5 Star at 5pm because my AC was not cooling, and the owner came out the same day and promptly fixed my system. He was very professional, friendly, and honest. He explained the problem clearly and gave me great advice for future maintenance. He also was very upfront about all the service needed and the price without pressuring me in any way. I highly recommend this company and plan to use them for all my heating and cooling maintenance and repair.

I called 10 places this morning to get our AC up and running after a sweltering 36 hours without it, and these were the first to have someone actually pick up the phone. And I'm glad they did because they talked to us like human beings and got us exactly what we needed within a couple hours. Prices were reasonable, and they were able to get their hands on a very specific part reality quickly. We will continue doing business with these folks as my roommates are working on a DIY zoned heating system and sound dampening for our home HVAC system.

5-Star is a great, reliable company that actually answers your phone calls and gets you quick, quality service. We had Dan V. out to fix some leaky pipes under the sink and install a garden hose bib. He did a great job and worked very quickly and even went out of his way to diagnose a few other issues we have with the plumbing around the house. Their prices are fair and we plan to have him back soon for more great work!

So thankful for Brian and this company! They drove almost an hour to my house to repair a problem with my AC unit after another Pittsburgh company wouldn’t tackle the job.

Disgusted repairman writes up air conditioning puts it was a problem before we moved in which is a total lie now warranty wont cover it!
