I received another text when he was actually heading my way. He was very personable, polite, and professional, and my kitchen sink drain was clear within an hour of his arrival. The cost was affordable and reasonable for quality work, which is what he delivered. After payment, I received a thank you, receipt, and review request via email. I first contacted these guys more than a month ago after a recommendation from a neighbor who had them install a pump.They initially came out in two days and told me the shower head needed to be replaced. I bought several that weekend, tried them all, and the issue did not go away. Called these guys all first thing the next week to tell them.The technician came out again a couple days later and took photos. He told me the cartridge usually takes just one or two days.Nobody called me for several days. So I called them again. The woman I spoke to said they must not have heard back from the supplier but they would contact me as soon as they did.Another week went by and still no phone call from the plumber. So I had to call them back again. This time I was told the photos the technician took were not clear. I immediately walked downstairs, took several photos, emailed them, and asked for confirmation they were okay.Another week went by. Again nobody responded. So I called and left a detailed urgent message with their answering service.The owner and namesake emailed me the next day early in the morning asking if he could come by. I replied within ten minutes despite being before 5am out West where I was traveling, explaining that would not work and asking if they revived the part. Nobody responded.So after 5 days I contacted them again. The woman I spoke to had the owner call me while I was on the line. Joseph explained this is is not how he does business and asked if he could come by today at 6:00am. I asked about a later time and he offered 6:30. Seeing he wouldn’t go much later, and given he seemed apologetic, I reluctantly agreed. We confirmed the 6:30 visit.Joseph also explained the supply house told them were two cartridges, they didn’t know which, and he would show me all the communication. He mentioned they wouldn’t charge me a service fee for the instal - only for the part. It was odd he didn’t tell me the price but I didn’t think anything of it at the time. Another odd thing was that I asked several times how long it would take to get the part and install it if we agreed though Joseph did not give me any answer.So this morning I awoke at 5:00 and was on my stoep from 6:25-7:05. Nobody came by.When I emailed to inquire and express my bewilderment, Joseph responded saying he called me this morning and left a voicemail. My phone has so not disturb on before 8am for obvious reasons so I did not see. I checked and did in fact have a voicemail - but it just asked me to call back. And it’s a moot point because we confirmed the 630 time. Backed by the word of the owner and namesake.I responded to his reply not even fifteen minutes later simply asking for the price of the part. This time Joseph did not respond.After more than a month, the office staff has now not responded at all a few times, responded extremely slowly others, and lied. Now the owner and namesake did not show up.And they haven’t even told me the price for the cartridge now that they heard back from the supply house. While I didn’t know why before, I do now. Just look at other google reviews.Don’t waste your time.

I paid over $180 for 15 min evaluation to check where is the leak noise coming from. I was told $50 for the eval then got charged 180. Ridiculous.
The best part is there was no solution to the problem.

Mr. Rooter was a great business to work with. The technician was very informative and helpful and they bailed us out of a plumbing emergency in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend!

This has been an absolutely horrible experience using Edward Hughes & Sons. I originally had a plumber from their company come out and evaluate my leaking shower and what is needed to fix it. They even ordered a part. Then trying to schedule the follow up appointment to actually come out and fix the issue was a complete nightmare. They actually stood me up 6 times and never showed up! Good luck if you use these guys.

I highly recommend Adelphia Plumbing to anyone who is having plumbing or leaking issues. I called and spoke with Monique, who was very knowledgeable and competent, and took the time to listen carefully to the four issues I was having. She was very prompt in writing a work order for me and got a technician out the next day. Ryan came and did a wonderful job with everything on the work order. He took his time and when he was finished, he called me to let me know how it all went since I was at work. It is clear that Ryan is very proficient and undoubtedly skilled in his profession, and I am very glad to know that I have a plumbing service I can rely on. Thank you, Adelphia Plumbing!

They do a good job and are knowledgeable! I have only used them for commercial properties but they have been great to work with. Drain cleaning, roof drains, and building main shut off valves, great job on all!
