I called the number listed on their page and was directly connected to Gerald (the owner I believe) to schedule a service consultation. I've already had two companies come out before to come out for a hydronic heater that seemingly no-one in the bay had knowledge to service. Over the phone, Gerald went over things that could have gone wrong and provided an in-depth analysis and even agreed to come out without a charge if nothing required work.

He arrived ontime, ready to work with equipment and tools in hand and with a courteous and professional attitude. He spent the next 45 minutes diagnosing the air heater and running me through all the things that could go wrong. In the end, he flushed the system and provided an honest opinion that the air handler was working correctly, just that the water heater temperature had to be raised in order to generate hotter air.

Gerald was honest, knowledgeable and provided possible next steps to improving heating performance. He stayed true to his word and did not bill me as nothing needed immediate replacement. (I still tipped to cover his time and gas). Should something go wrong with my heater in the future, California Plumbing & Radiant Heating will be the first people I call!

This company was our second opinion. The first company Oakland Rooter wanted to charge us for redoing the whole plumbing system in our house. But Jose from Mr. Rooter came in diagnosed the problem, showed me the details of his method fixing it, He had the right tools and proceeded to do what the previous company could not do which was unclog our drains. They even provided us with a environmental safe drain cleaner to follow up the unclogging of the drain

The first company also had problems with the little thinGs like respecting the cleanliness of our house. Jose put protective booties over his shoes every time he entered our house. And even laid out a mat at our front door.

I had a clogged kitchen drain and called Mauro's. Javier came out a couple of hours later, fixed the problem, cleaned up perfectly and charged a very reasonable amount (about one-half of what Rooter Hero wanted!). I recommend Mauro's very highly.

Of course, the hot water heater decided to leak all over the garage floor on a Friday night about 7pm! Emergency plumbing services were hard to find so I was lucky I had seen Larrat brothers plumbing trucks driving around my neighborhood and decided to look them up. Sure enough - emergency services offered!! What a gift. My call was promptly answered, they asked a few questions to see if solutions over the phone could fix the problem but, sadly, we needed a replacement. When I sent pictures we came up with a plan and Saturday morning within an hour we had hot water again!!! Larratt was prompt, professional, did great work and even followed up later in the day to be sure everything was working correctly!
