Jake the Plumber was our first experience with hiring a plumber, and we were very pleased. They were prompt, the cost was reasonable, they took the time to go over the repair in detail, and thoroughly answered any questions that we had. We live on the opposite side of the metro from Jake's, and thus had a travel cost, but it was well worth it. We will definitely use them again the next time we need a plumber.

Drain backed-up and they arrived the same day and didnt charge me extra for it being 6:30pm at night.

They came to unclog the floor drain in our basement. Drain got cleared up fine but scratched paint off floor in multiple spots and took the backflow ball from drain. Called multiple times to see about getting it back and they always said someone will call you and no one ever did. That ball keeps sewer gasses from coming into the house. Also the plumber seemed to think his mask was a chin guard.

I had a leak in one of my water main shut off valves. I got quotes from three places, Welder and Sons came in at about 2/3 the price of the next cheapest option. The receptionists I spoke to were kind and knowledgeable. I was able to get a slot first thing the following morning and the plumber came on time and ready for the job. It was done within the quoted time and he was very personable answering additional questions I had. The work looks professional and I would absolutely recommend this company based on my experience

Mike from Roto-Rooter put in a new garbage disposal for me on the spot, after diagnosing the issue I was having with my old one. Quick, knowledgeable and kind. Even looked for any available discounts he could get for me which was appreciated with the unforeseen expense! Thanks, Mike!

Right off the bat when talking to the scheduler/operator I had a feeling this place was not at all professional. When the tech arrived with tools in a bucket I didn't feel any better.

And then the time came for the fix...
The tech didn't have a handle puller to pull my shower faucet handle off. I stupidly agreed to pay a visit fee of $80 on the weekend. I regretted it right away because the tech had no shot to fix the problem, not having the tool to get past step one.

Don't go with this place. Absolutely no reason to pick them over an Eric Nelson Plumbing or Athena or Burnomatic or Uptown Plumbing.

Didn't get the refund I was after either,
A week later (Saturday) I called them to ask for some sort of refund. The person on the other end said it was busy that Easter weekend and told me they'd look into it and call me back on Tuesday. It's now the following Monday and I never got a call. Called them and ranted as politely as I could. He offered me 10% off my next plumbing job with them. Ha.

They are the real deal! They texted and showed up during the estimated time window and they were very courteous and professional. They cleaned and scoped our sewer main very quickly and at a fair price. (Much better than our previous rooter in speed and service.) I absolutely recommend them to everyone!

They charge you an arm and a leg just to come out. $127 just to come our and gave me wrong einformation. Definitely not recommended
