Had my boiler serviced by Kelley from Jake the Plumber today...very happy with his work, and with the overall experience with Jake the Plumber!

Kelley was very friendly and knowledgeable, and didn't seem to mind me being around, watching and learning...educating me a bit, answering questions. Also very friendly with our kids. Got our boiler back up and running after some efficient troubleshooting.

After having called around to a lot of the other plumbing and heating companies, I was very turned off by the few bigger ones charging a hefty service call / travel fee (ranging from $68 to $149)...just to come out to see what's wrong / give you a price!...and then hearing in reviews they quote very hefty, flat-rate, non-transparent fees. I liked, first off, that Jake the Plumber charges hourly -- then you know how the pricing works before getting into it...and, for me, I don't mind being around to make sure they work efficiently, not working up the clock.

To that end, I REALLY liked that they gave me the option to text or email photos of my boiler / the issues needing addressed, and Kelley was able to call me the evening before service to ask me more detailed questions and get an idea of what was up, giving me a ballpark range of how many labor hours the job should cost. They do have a $68 travel fee (halved when you commit to service)...but with that call from Kelley, I at least had an idea of what I was getting into -- enough to feel comfortable committing with the travel fee beforehand.

He was running a little bit behind schedule after having to track down a unique part for my boiler but called before he was actually late to let me know, so I was never wondering (all fine with me).

The only thing I would suggest / appreciate in the future using Jake the Plumber, is that they have a detailed list of parts on their invoices -- was left to Kelley's memory when I asked him how much all the parts were. But, all sounded about right, so I took his word for it.

Very happy...boiler's running better than ever! Thanks again, Kelley!

Will definitely use one of their free quote Friday's for a new sump pump quote in the near future!

I had the pleasure of working with Standard in May of 2018. I originally heard an ad on the radio and got several quotes from local contractors to replace both my AC and furnace. The entire process, from the estimate to the additional requested work after the fact, was absolutely stunning.The estimate was the most detailed out of the all five estimates I received. Rich walked me through each room, counted windows, vents, and took measurements. He talked me through every option, was transparent (you don't need this, Marshall), and came in right in the middle for pricing.The installation was much quicker than expected. Under promise, over deliver is their mantra. Originally scheduled to take all day, they were out in about five hours. When I requested additional work while they were here, they looked at it, gave me a new estimate and came out within the next week to finish. He even capped off an old exhaust vent for free!Overall, highly recommend Standard. Everyone I spoke to from customer service to the installer was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and followed up.

Our furnace failed as we faced the coldest few days in the last 25 years. From the beginning contact this company's personnel was helpful and understanding. We saw a technician in about 3 hours (Ken) who detailed our difficulties and tried to help us get a new furnace ASAP. He left space heaters and said with our fireplaces, we should be okay till the furnace arrived in about 36 hours. Our installer Chad was prompt and efficient and explained what he was doing and why we'd need an electrician to finish the job. However our new furnace was up and running in less than 3 hours using our old thermostat. Chad was thoughtful, careful and very complete in his explanations and cleanup. We had a very satisfactory experience with this company!

I have used Janecky plumbing for several projects and they have exceeded my expectations every time. They do great work are respectful and clean. I recently had a neighbor call with an AC emergency on a 100 degree day. They called me for a referral. I texted Janecky for them and they came out and within hours of me calling. Most AC companies would have said your unit is too old and try to sell a new one. But they fixed the problem. They have compassion and the knowledge to to do what was right. Thanks Dave!

Pronto was a great experience. It was a one stop shop for financing, knowledge, and repairs. Our sales person was great and was willing to answer questions any time of day, even during weekends. The install staff was courteous, conscious of my situation, and was willing to go above and beyond to get the job done quickly. The whole process was complete in less than one week. I would highly recommend them.

Where is the button for zero stars? This company is a joke, bid quote is nowhere near reality. You can always screw someone over one time, I will never give them the opportunity to do it to me a second.

The city told us that our stop box (water shutoff) wasn't working and needed to replace it 20 days before we closed on selling our house. Cichy's came out to fix it and found that it actually worked. Not only did they NOT charge us the thousands of dollars it would have cost to fix, they worked with the city to get them to agree that it worked and provide documentation for the new homeowners. They totally went above and beyond in, what was to us, a very stressful situation. Can't recommend them enough.

Our experience with AAA was awesome. Dave and his sons were friendly, helpful, and patient with us as we figured out exactly what we needed done. They were also super fast and got to work right away!

My first interactions with RightMark were positive. Mark took the time to talk us through a whole list of minor issues that were flagged in our home inspection. When he let us know his pricey hourly rate, we pared down our list significantly to the red-flagged items only. By then, however, we'd shown our cards as naive first-time homeowners.

When Mark's plumber arrived, he didn't have the updated pared down list, so we had to pay for the time it took to explain the updated list. When the plumber took off the toilet to change the wax ring, he told us our toilet was beyond repair and asked us whether we wanted to buy a new toilet then and there. We had to take him at his word, and we really had no choice but to say yes because we only have one bathroom and we don't have a car.

We ended up having to pay for the plumber's time to pick up the toilet plus the marked-up price on the toilet plus time to retrieve a different seat because he picked up the wrong one the first time around. We also had to pay for the time it took for the plumber to find out from Mark how much the toilet would cost. Mark was in a meeting when the plumber first called, so we had to pay for the plumber to wait for Mark's response. And the plumber wasn't clear in the quote that he gave for the toilet whether it was for parts or parts and labor. I misunderstood that the quote was for parts and labor.

In the end, to replace the wax ring and the toilet, dispose of the old toilet, and to have one pipe connection manually tightened and one gas pipe capped, we paid a whopping $851.

RightMark doesn't provide a fairly priced service.

I have been using Cyrus plumbing services for well over four years now. He is on time and very professional. He explains what the problem is and completes the repair in a timely manner. Anytime I needed emergency repairs, Cyrus was there.

Our water heater went out at the worst possible time just before New Years Eve. No one had availability so I scheduled for Sunday with Mr. Rooter. They called me on New Years Eve because they had a change in their schedule. Our issue was diagnosed quickly.

Two days no return call. I called again to find out they are NOT taking residential work.
