Fast service and good advice! Called at 7:30 am and plumber was here in about an hour, even though it wasn't an emergency call. Brian was quick to arrive and diagnose the problem. He cleared the kitchen sink clog and gave good advice on how to prevent problems in the future. Very thorough. He even noticed expired RotoRooter jug and advised us how to dispose of it. Overflow of basement floor drain, when the water backs up into basement with every drain usage, means a call to a plumber.It was 5 pm on a Wednesday night. Upon my third call to a plumbing service, I was transferred to Roto Rooter. It was a bit confusing that is who I was talking to, but after getting a technician call within 15 minutes I was happy. Within 30 minutes of my call, a professional plumber arrived ready to solve my problem. While I could watch videos to attempt to figure this out, this homeowner doesn’t need to tackle this skill.He was able to determine the problem, we discussed the cost for this service and with a trip to the truck was able to ‘snake’ the drain freeing the blockage.My only minor concern was the cost of service, which is the reason for only 4 stars.During the discussion with the technician, I found he was on a regular shift, 2 pm until midnight. While he was called to me, he was waiting on a tool to continue his job, which was outside in Minnesota. He was happy to be inside for my job. Because the technician was not outside of his regular hours, the $430 drain clear that lasted 30 minutes seems excessive. Maybe by me speaking up the excessive charges for all situations that require a quick response can be reviewed and this emergency cost can be reviewed.I will use this service again, but I hope I don’t need to.

They were very nice professional and did a wonderful job very quick as well and they showed me that everything I needed was done and they even cleaned up the mess from the drains I was very pleased and they put a new filter on my washer as well it was super cheap would highly recommend this company to anyone !!!! We had repeated problems with a backed-up toilet and had plumbers out many times to clear the clogs. Rob and Jose from General Rooter not only removed the clog but also determined why the toilet was clogged so often. By running their fiber optic camera down the pipe, they found two what they called “bellies,” low spots where the pipe had sagged and didn’t drain properly. This, along with cracks seen in the video, requires us to excavate the cement slab to replace the pipe, and Rob referred us to a plumber they trusted to do the job well.

They could have just cleared the clog but went further to provide a solution to prevent reoccurrences. Thank you General Rooter!

I woke up to a backed up basement floor drain, and called Roto-Rooter. They quickly found someone to come to my house, and started working late morning/early afternoon. I cannot speak for all of the plumbers/drain technicians, but Aaron (employee 221) was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and very respectful. Not only did he quickly solve my problem, he also provided me with numerous preventative tips to help avoid costly plumbing issues in the future. I also appreciate how transparent he was with respect to pricing, so I never felt like I would be ripped off, or pay more than the market price.

I had an appointment with Steinkraus for them to install a gas line in the morning. The plumber never called nor showed up. I called early afternoon and was told I would be called back once they find out what's going on. Never recieved a return call. Was told when I called them back again that evening that they might be able to do the job in a week. I took an entire day off of work to get the work done which was scheduled well before hand.

Ross fixed our basement mess in 1 and half hours. Cutting & replaced the pipes. Quick, effecient, professional!
