Best Water Heater Systems in Milwaukee WI

The floor drain in our basement backed up after a load of laundry. After reading many positive reviews we went with Tuffy’s.

The following is a summary of our appointment. I will itemize my issues (there are many) for easier reading.

1. The two employees did not introduce themselves upon arrival.

2. The older employee was slurring his speech and could hardly walk. The company said (after the fact) that he has a disability, but he could easily have been mistaken for drunk. Disability or no, his condition affected his ability to do the work in a safe and efficient manner. I’m glad we weren’t paying by the hour.

3. This employee was so unsteady on his feet that he was holding onto the copper pipes in our basement ceiling and running into items in our basement. Our young son was interested in watching the work, but was sent upstairs for fear he would be injured by this employee.

4. The employees did not listen to my wife when she tried to tell them where the access pipe was. They proceeded to move boxes and items in our basement even after my wife asked them to stop. Communication may have been better had the older employee been able to speak clearly. The younger employee hardly spoke at all.

5. The younger employee dropped their large piece of gravy equipment halfway down our basement stairs.

6. The older employee began to cut the cap off our access pipes without asking if this was ok. My wife had to stop him to get an explanation. Clearly it needed to be done to complete the work, but again, he couldn’t communicate clearly. At $40 per cap, this is not something you just do without explanation.

7. After the employees left, I noticed a large puddle in our driveway. Upon closer inspection, it was URINE. We have a dog, but he does not urinate in that quantity, much less on the driveway. I smelled it. I’m positive it was HUMAN URINE, in the location of the work truck door. The only explanation I can think of is that one of the employees pissed in our driveway. Perhaps it wasn’t overtly malicious...perhaps one of the employees pissed their pants. I’m more inclined to believe that they used a bottle to piss in while on the road, and decided to dump their piss in our driveway. Regardless, this is inexcusable.

8. I wanted to contact the company the evening of our appointment, but my wife, who was visibly upset over all of this, said she would contact the company the following day after she had time to calm down. When she called, we were berated for not being more understanding of the older employees condition. No apologies. Only unkind words.

In summary, the work that needed to be done was eventually completed, but our experience with the employees was poor. The employees that did work for us were bumbling, at best. The word I’m more inclined to use is “incompetent.” Were a simple disability the only issue, I might be able to give a more positive review, but I cannot overlook the safety issues, the lack of communication, or the PISS in our driveway. On top of it all, the company was not able to offer an apology. Would not recommend.

Adam Wellner was polite and knowledgeable when it came to looking at the furnace and AC. Showed me pictures of the inside of the heater and explained the status of both machine units!

They responded to my plumbing emergency promptly, professionally, and completely. I signed up for their maintenance plan to be sure nothing like this happens again. They were great at explaining everything, and the results of their work are outstanding! I've got a new plumber for life!

Never showed up for my service in December

Really, really expensive

Excellent service. He legitimately cares about his customers. I will always have his magnet on my fridge and I will always use Darrel.

I needed a plumber for a backed up sewer drain. I called Dave and left a message. I called another plumbing service with good ratings and setup an appointment with them. Dave (or i think it was Dave) called me back shortly after I explained I already booked with an other company. He asked about the rate and when I told him the rate and other company. He assured me they do good work at a great price. Seems super professional to speak well of his competition I'll definitely call Dave in the future if I have plumbing needs.

They do professional work and like animals. They replaced traps, installed shower heads and faucets in old house , and replaced our old concrete laundry sink.

I was immediately confident that the work on both of our bathrooms was being done with quality and care. All of the staff of Borth-Wilson were excellent and accommodating. I was updated daily and more often if I had questions. I would definitely use them in again the future.

I will start with: I did not use this company for service. I did, however, get an estimate from them. I am rating them 2 stars because the person who inspected didn't even look at anything closely. He just took my input and assumed I knew what I was talking about. Note: I am not a plumber so how would I know what is wrong.

I had an issue with the hot water pressure to my kitchen sink and basement utility sink. The estimate said I would need the pipes leading to that to be replaced. They quoted me for 940 dollars total.

Flash forward and I got a second opinion. Turns out the aerator was the issue on the utility sink. How do you not check the aerator if you are a plumber? That's the most common issue. Anyways, the work on the pipes still needs to be done, but I have a different professional coming in for half the cost now.

I'm giving them 3 stars still, because the women on the phone were nice and I didn't get any work from them to know what kind of job they do.

Always get multiple bids when hiring contractors. Don't always take the lowest bid, but definitely use logic in picking workers.

Call never returned

I had a heating issue on a Sunday (Super Bowl) Night where my furnace was only blowing cool air (mind you it was probably the coldest night .

Nevertheless, I made it through! I called Monday and spoke with Gloria and explained what the issues were with the furnace, she asked a series of questions in regards to what was happening. She then suggest I check the filter, in which I am smh because it should have been changed months ago.

I changed the filter and the heat kick in...I want to let everyone know Action Heating & Cooling are the BEST because of people like GLORIA! Thank you so much for saving what could have been hundreds of $$$ dollar to buying filters that cost less than $20 buck. Gloria you ROCK!!

I’ve heard nothing but horrible experiences with this company. I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
