We used Borth to perform a bathroom remodel in our master and some other general plumbing work around the house. Marah was a rockstar in helping me pick out selections and come up with a dream design I wasn't even aware I would like - but it turned out beautifully. Don is a really genuine nice person who remembered me even after months between the first visit and my selection meeting. He seemed to have my best interest in mind as a homeowner, which I appreciate. I trust their work and proven integrity of their overall business.

She ordered the seat I chose and coordinated the installation with the electrician and the plumber, so it all went seamlessly. Working with Barb was great and made the project stress free! Erik arrived within an hour of my request to repair a plumbing leak and to install a new kitchen faucet. He was prompt, friendly, professional , kept a clean work area and completed the work quickly and without incident. Billing for work performed was reasonable.

Professional pride is evident in everyone that remodeled our bathroom. They worked as a team and continuously demonstrated artistic craftsmanship—from the designers to the plumbers to the person who cut and placed the tile. Everything was done with pride and perfection.

We had a warranty issue with our new home. I was given a window of 11-1, he was there at 11. We ended up needing a new kitchen faucet. Nice guy, cleaned up afterwards, explained everything to my satisfaction. Even talked about doing an estimate for other work(not warranty). I am pleased.

Erik was able to come out and fix our drain the same day and was very helpful answering all my questions!

I called Borth-Wilson for an estimate on a kitchen remodel that I was looking at doing. I explained the situation that I was in and the timing that I was looking for this to be done (Spring 2023). The person I spoke to on the phone said this is no problem and that they will set something up for the owner to come out and give an estimate. When the owner came out to take a look it was pretty clear that they didn't want the job. The first thing he says to me was that they will not touch anything for a year or more because they are so busy, which was frustrating to hear because I told them what my timing was on the phone. So even though that timing wasn't really going to work for us, we still had him take a look at the kitchen. This is a 12x8 kitchen so it is very small. I wasn't looking to open any walls or do any major remodeling. It would have been new cabinets with countertops (7 feet long top and bottom), new sink and new floor with some updated lighting. I was not going to be going high end with any of this as it is a rental unit so it would have been medium quality cabinets, formica countertops, etc. As a rough estimate he said it'd be over $60k, which is way out of range for what needed to be done.

It was clear that they didn't want the job from the get go. Extremely disappointed in the fact that I called and explained the whole situation to them in regards to my timing and level of work needed to be done. They proceeded to schedule an appointment for an estimate and said that was no problem. Then they get there and immediately say they aren't looking at jobs until 6 months after my expected timeline and then quoted me a ridiculous price for the work. I understand contractors are extremely busy and the owner was nice enough, but what a waste of time for everyone. I took off work early to meet them for the appointment. Appointment took 5 minutes.

I had Eric out to fix my sewer back up. It turned out to be alot more than that so he couldnt finish in a day. Barb scheduled me for the next opening 2 days away and then was able to move things around so he could come the next day. It was a very extensive project, and while the price was much higher than I anticipated I feel the work was done very well and as quickly as possible.

Borth Wilson made our bathroom project easier than we would have thought possible. From an incredibly responsive project manager, to the talented and efficient designer, and the incredibly considerate workers, we always felt like they had the project in hand. They helped us trouble shoot a few tricky issues with our design and even found a window vendor to do the impossible in our very old space (who likes windows in showers...anyone???) Most importantly, they stayed true to the character of our 1929 Tudor home in Tosa...to the point that people will ask if our tile/floor is original (LOVE that!). If and when our kitchen is ready to be re-done...we know who we are calling.

And I have to add...they are the BEST for the one-off plumbing issue, too! Skillfull, efficient, friendly, AND a good value compared to others we have tried.

I am highly disappointed that I received a call 5 minutes before my appointment time informing me that my appointment was cancelled because of an unavailable employee. I would have imagined the employee would have been in route prior to 5 minutes before my appointment time. I waited 5 weeks for the appointment, confirmed it a week in advance along with several follow up calls and emails, that were about price increases, just days before my appointment. The newly discussed price was also baffling because I was informed that the job would be 2x as much as what I discussed initially over the phone. If there was such a large discrepancy I would've imagined that it would have been discussed more than 3 days prior to my appointment. I was told the price difference was due to permit issues they had recently discovered with other clients. However I was given an additional estimate 3 days before my appointment over the phone, which I do not know why it could not be done 5 weeks ago, if there was such a difference. So after several calls and emails concerning price all the way up until the day before my estimate appointment an employee is mysteriously unable to make it 5 minutes before the start of my appointment. They left a message stating they would contact me to reschedule but I never got a callback. In conclusion, my experience with the company was highly unpleasant. I have definitely been given the run around.

I had the main bathroom and the half bath remodeled. This included new counter tops/sinks, toilets, shower and tub, flooring, new lighting, and removal of old wall paper, with walls repaired and primed. The crew from Borth-Wilson worked everyday for a week until the job was done. They were polite, courteous, and worked around my schedule. I appreciate their efforts and their professional approach. I would definitely use Borth-Wilson again for other projects.

Major bathroom remodel. Generally speaking the workmanship was good and the tradesman were easy to deal with. There were a couple quality issues with both them and the Kohler products installed. Specifically the biggest issue is the new shower stall base does not drain well. Standing water is left in a couple areas and must be squeegied out, otherwise it remains indefinitely. This is very annoying. That's more a worker quality issue. The Kohler issues are , the toilet flush valve catches on the pull chain about once a month and holds open to continue running. The Kohler soaker tub(don't ever buy one) has a flat ledge from which water does not drain. so must be wiped down following a shower. The Kohler shower handle has very little variability from hot to cold. you get about 5 degrees rotation from hold to hot.

We chose Borth Wilson to remodel our bathroom because:
* They don’t use subcontractors (except for electricians).
* They have a designer on staff.
* They don’t need a dumpster - they take all their trash home at the end of each day.
* They don’t start demo until all cabinets and fixtures have arrived at their warehouse.

We are thrilled we chose Borth Wilson because:
* They were willing to work with and enhance our ideas, like finding wall tile to go with a specific floor tile we loved.
* Their crew was polite and collaborative.
* When they ran into the unexpected (like sideways wall studs or floor joists where the drain had been planned to go), they were able to make alternative plans and communicate new options to us on the same day so that our timeline didn’t get pushed out.
* They built us a lovely bathroom!

Owning properties is a hassle. Especially in Milwaukee. After letting the company know that
the property was located in Milwaukee, WI, they provided a blind estimate of an unreasonable $25,000.00 to install ONE bathroom for a residential property. THANKS!! But NO THANKS!!!

Had a simple leaky faucet that turned extreme on a Friday. Called in the morning and they had a guy out by 2:30pm the same day and resolved the issue.

Just called them for a dripping pipe problem i'm having.. I asked what their labor rate was and he said it could be anywhere from $250-$350/hr plus service call of $75.. more than double of what others charge.. make sure you check their prices!!

I had a partial bathroom renovation. Don came by first to evaluate and make recommendations. What I really appreciated from him was his expertise and recognition of my desire to keep things as simple as possible (knowing that nothing is ever truly simple in any renovation). He understood what I wanted and provided a good quote with all the details. I met with the designer and picked out tile, fixtures etc. She also helped me with picking out paint even though I was doing the painting myself. Then came the big part - demo. There was an unexpected air vent to work around and everyone was really responsive in figuring out the best way to get my bathroom done without adding a lot of cost, time and still meeting my goals. I was really impressed with this and the way the team worked together. Also, a small note but important, they really cleaned up after themselves every day. Very meticulous. We were completely satisfied with the work that Borth Wilson did. We have a very old house—the very definition of a “plumber’s nightmare”. The plumber had to get down on his hands and knees and crawl into a crawlspace to inspect and evaluate the problem drain lines. We were given an appointment time of about a week out, but when a spot opened up on the schedule, BW was able to come 3-4 days early. The plumber fixed the problem, and also replaced/upgraded other potential problem areas. We thought the invoice amount was very fair considering the amount of work done and the conditions under which the plumber had to work.

Eric was very nice and professional and cleaned up after himself. He explained things well and in detail. Highly recommend.

Borth Wilson showed up promptly and fixed my problem.

I had a small connecting warm water pipe that looked like it could burst any day, I was quoted $450-$600 after texting in some photos to their master plumber. Upon arrival our plumber, Dennis, knew exactly what had to be done and did a great job in less than an hour with little mess or any water issues. Then came the bill, $367. Many companies would look at the $450 as their minimum price and charge you $450+ as quoted, I am very impressed with their honesty & integrity. 5 Stars all day.

We had Borth Wilson remodel our half bathroom and add a shower to it. They installed a new toilet and sink in new locations, added a shower and shower stall, tiled, and painted. Their work was professional, all of their employees were polite, the project was done within time estimated and within budget. The bathroom looks even better than we imagined. They came out later and caulked for free even though that was not included in the original estimate. The workers said hello to our 2 year old daughter, who sat in her high chair near the bathroom, every time they came in and out of the house. They cleaned up after themselves every day.

We also hired Borth Wilson to fix a backed up drain in the basement and install a new faucet in the kitchen. They did both jobs professionally, quickly, and within the estimate.

I just bought a home and my kitchen sink was backing up. I made use of my home warranty and Borth-Wilson came out to fix the problem. Erik was so nice and helpful. He arrived on time, his work was very clean and everything seems to be working perfectly. I will defiantly keep their card (hopefully I will not need it) for future reference.

Plumber came out to the house to re-route a gas line that was previously for my washer and dryer to become a gas line for a cooktop. The contractor did something during installation that made our entire house smell like it was going to blow up. He told my husband this is normal (which it may be), but that the house should air out in 2 or 3 hours. 5 hours later we were all dizzy and had headaches. We went to dinner and left EVERY window open - only to come home and find that it was much better, but there was still a strong odor of gas. We called WE energies that night to take a look at things, and they said that there was certainly some kind of leak which seemed localized in the paneling between 2 cabinets (unaccessible visually or by hand), but they could not pinpoint the leak location exactly since it seemed to be seeping rather than leaking.

5 days later - we had started keeping our vent hood fan on 24/7 because of the gas smell in the house, and finally the technician came to install the gas range top, this guy was from SEARS. He was great, and told us right away that there was an existing smell of gas in the home. Upon him installing the equipment he noted that the joins that Brth Wilson did were extremely loose, and he had to tighten them up because they were all turning as he was trying to install the cooktop. He noted that the smell MAY have been because of the fact that the line was uncapped, and he suggested that we see if it cleared up after the cooktop was hooked up. It did not clear up, although it was much less after the lines were tightened and the cooktop was put in properly. So I called Borth Wilson a few days later to get them to come back out and fix the problem, because there was still a lingering gas smell.

The contractor came out and took a look at the joins, did the soap test on all of the joins and the piping that he had access to. He told his office that they believed the COOKTOP was leaking, and not the lines they had put in. I explained to Barb at the office that did not make sense since it was leaking WELL before the cooktop was put in, and WE had said they suspected the seepage was coming from the location that would not be accessible for a soap test. She argued this point with me for literally 10 minutes she insisted that they would not replace any lines or do any further work at this point because the equipment and labor is expensive. Then she informed me that essentially the only way they would reevaluate the issue is if I would do a test of the equipment, and shut off the valve to the cooktop itself, and see if the smell resolves. She also said she would contact the owner/Master Plumber to see what further they can do to resolve this issue.

My husband shut off the valve and it turned out the leak was exactly where we said it was, the plumber came back and was very courteous about the situation, he changed part after part until the issue was resolved. There was a faulty seal in one of the joins which was no fault of Borth Wilson in any way. I was very glad to get the problem taken care of over all, and I would use them again in the future. I do wish that the team would have listened to me as a customer more, but in the end the job got done right, and that is what I was paying for.

My husband and I hired Borth-Wilson for a water heater repair, and couldn't be happier with the service and final cost. The plumber arrived on time, worked quickly and left a beautiful finished product. We recommend BW to everyone looking for a plumber now!

We had a leaky shower that created a lot of problems with water in the basement and behind the drywall. Don came out and pointed out what needed to be done to resolve our issue. It required tearout and replacement of the shower unit. We are very happy with the new design and quality workmanship that was done. Other than a slight setback to install because of the COD-19 and the wrong door shower door delivered, we were extremely happy with the final product.

Had a problem with a check valve that had failed. Got a quick response to my inquiry for service. Erik handled it quickly and at the same time improved on the original installation so that service in the future will be easier.

We were impressed with this family owned business. They walked us through all of our options and made us feel very comfortable as we underwent a major bathroom remodel. All of the workers that came into our home were respectful and explained every detail of their work. We highly recommend Borth-Wilson!

Make sure you get all the information before accepting an estimate. Their quotes are misleading. For example, I was quoted around $375-$425 to install a gas line. The work was closer to $600 ($300 material, $300 labor (2hrs)). Seemed like a surprising jump where the work was roughly the same and only the material changed.

The difference from the original estimate is that instead of using 20-25 feet of hard pipe, they had to use 26 feet of trackpipe. Assuming that the original quote (minus $300 labor) of materials cost $125, that would mean that the new material cost twice that.

One more thing to be aware of, if you decide to turn the work down it will cost you $75 for the travel cost.

I spoke with the plumber and he said that, even he was not sure why they quoted me that price. Even if we went the hard-pipe route, the labor would have taken twice as long. So to save cost he used the tractpipe instead. (Lowered one star from 3 stars after this update).

Not too crazy about this businessAnd he told me it would be$ 65 for estimate and $400 for repair,the only thing he did was add a plumbing piece to fixture,prices are overpriced i ended up paying $400 for a ptrap.i won't be using g this service again

When we had a plumbing issue at our office building we called Borth-Wilson and they had someone over right away to fix the problem. The entire staff was friendly, knew what they were doing and the pricing was fair. A very nice company to do business with and one that I highly recommend.

We had a walk in shower floor replaced. Design, workmanship all superior and exactly what we wanted. Downside - re-installation of the glass wall panel removed for construction was not included in the work plan or cost. We had to arrange ourselves and the glass company recommended by Borth not very responsive. Added hassle and time that could have been avoided by the contractor including re-installation in the work plan and assuring project fully completed.

Called to get the key fixed on main pipe for water which I SPECIFICALLY said was on the bottom. Appointment was scheduled then the day of appointment told technician would be delayed. That’s understandable because jobs can have unexpected pop ups. My appointment was for nine he arrived at twelve. Goes to do the work and tells me it can’t be done as he had the wrong part Because was told by office it was the top part. Now I’ve wasted half a day for nothing.

Borth Wilson has been providing plumbing services for me for several years. They have provided such services as installing new toilets, sump pumps, connections for water/ice for my refrigerators, installing new shower rods and dealing with clogged drains. In summary, providing for plumbing services that most home owners might need. They are always prompt, knowledgeable and willing to help out in an emergency. Their staff is always professional and their work is always perfect. Their prices are reasonable.

Borth-Wilson is a great company! I had a great customer experience on all ends. Both Receptionist and Technicians were very easy to work with, Curtious, and answered any questions i have. We enjoyed a very positive experience with Borth-Wilson. The workmanship was excellent, as was their communication through the two projects. Their approach of waiting for all materials to arrive before beginning work ensured the projects would proceed on time. Each week, we received a schedule for the coming week’s work, and they were true to their word throughout. In addition to adhering to the schedule, they also stuck to the budget. I would recommend them without hesitation.

We called this company out for what was supposed to be a free estimate. After the estimate we were given a bill. We were very upset and took this company to court due to false advertising. No one from this company ever showed up at court to explain why they advertise free estimates but then charge the customer. We won a judgment against this company which has still not been paid. This was a horrible experience and we will not attempt to do business with this company again.

We had a issue with a previous plumbing company that our home warranty recommended. After not hearing from that plumbing company for three weeks, we decided to use this company which I googled and they came out a couple days later and fixed our issue with a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

The owner came over to do an estimate and take some measurements. He basically told me what I wanted done, he wouldnt do. Fine. He then told me he would get back to me with some estimates on what he could do with the space. I was lookIng to spend about 15K on the remodel. He never got back to me with an estimate and never called. Very rushed and short with me. I get that you are busy buddy. I own a business as well and can tell you know nothing of the business side of your outfit. Waste of time. Oh, and it took over a week to get an estimate appointment. They have all these great reviews which is why I called them. With all this said, I have to give them a 1 star. I’m sure they do ok work, just don’t see them as very professional.

We needed an old drain and pipe replaced. Erik arrived on time, was very professional, replaced the drain, updated the water lines, and even gave us advice on other issues. Price came in under the quote. We will definitely be using them for all of our plumbing needs!

We used our Home Warranty yesterday to bring in Borth for backed up shower/toilet issues. Since I know nothing about plumbing, I am always curious if the people I hire are legitimate and truly know the trade. Since my home warranty contacted them, I figured they have to be good. No warranty wants to pay for a shady plumber that will only create future plumbing claims with the warranty. Between our personal home and rental properties, they have lived up to do the work well. I had a burst water pipe to my outdoor hose that needed repair. Borth-Wilson was happy to come out at a time that was convenient for me. Their Customer Service was awesome & professional on the phone when I needed to schedule their visit. The repair man was on time, and worked quickly. He was friendly with great communication about what needed to be done. He also repaired another faucet for me and advised me on an easy fix in my shower so I could handle that myself! Happy to help.

I called this plumbing company for help with a sump-pump issue. At first I was pleased when they offered to come out, for free, to evaluate the sump-pump. They sent someone right out, who took a quick look, quoted me $140-150 to get it fixed up. We scheduled a time for them to come back within the week. However when they came back a week later another plumber showed up and stated the job would cost more like $450-500. When I told him that was more than expected and that I needed more time to evaluate my options, he charged me $68 for the service call, despite only spending 5 minutes at the house. I thought this charge was unfair given I was going off what their original quote was, and I wouldn't have booked the service if the original quote was honored or accurate. When I called the President of the company to discuss my experience he was quite dismissive and unapologetic, and did not reimbursement me any of the service charge. Definitely will not be using this company again!

Getting a quote or estimate starts with Don visiting your home. His knowledge and experience was great. He took quick measurements and started to rattle off makes and models for different options.

The remodel process went very good. The tile guy did a fantastic arch in our bathtub that is just beautiful. The wrong shower door was sent by the supplier - but they communicated well and we got the right door as quickly as possible.

All in all - no complaints. Job well done. Good crews. Good communication. Fair price.

Had Don come out, and go over with me all what is involved in replacing my pipes between the wall. Gave me a resonable price and the next week Eric came out and did the work. Very pleased, Wife and I are completely satis fied....

Had plumber come out for a floor drain cleaning. He was prompt, friendly and did a nice job spending two hours cleaning basement drains. However, we had drain back up again a week later. That's the reason for downgrade to 3 stars. Disappointed we have same problem after spending $400.

When I was getting estimates for our complete bathroom remodel, Borth-Wilson gave me a detailed line-by-line estimate and honed in on a $20K estimated cost. They also gave me a reasonable time estimate of 2 weeks. Three other companies said my bathroom could cost anywhere from $20K to $30K, and that it could take anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. That's a VERY large range. Borth-Wilson's workers were professional, clean, respectful, and skilled. They got the job done quickly and did it well. Communication with the project manager was great. We are more than happy with Borth-Wilson and recommend them.

My shower and bath was 1970s original salmon speckled tile and in major need of a redo. Don was very knowledgeable in the types of tile available for the job and helped us pick out the best stone for the job. And the installer was really friendly, very tidy and left our bathroom looking brand new! Good things do take time, and it did take longer than we were expecting, but we could not be happier with the final product and get compliments on it all the time.

We recently had Mark out to do about 700 sq ft of tile flooring through out the house, and it turned out amazing! The price was fair, the schedule date was right on time, and the estimated time of completion was earlier then expected!

I had a new toilet and both other toilets insides repaired. I was impressed with the professionalism of Eric, the Plummer. He was very knowledgeable, informative and even taught me how to use caulk. We have used Borth/Wilson for a couple years and find them very accommodating to our plumbing needs. I strongly recommend their services.

We filed a claim with Universal Home Protection because we had some water marks on the ceiling underneath where the upstairs shower drain is. UHP hired Borth-Wilson to come look at it. The gentlemen spent 30 minutes in the house, cut a hole in the ceiling and determined it wasn’t a “plumbing” issue, and therefore wasn’t covered by the warranty. That was all fine, but they charged us over $250 for this. He was professional, swept the floor, and gave us important information, but we feel that being charged $250 to “open living room ceiling and inspect 2nd floor master show plumbing” is excessive. We wouldn’t hire them ourselves, and will vet any contractors hired by UHP in the future.

Very professional and pleasant to work with. Very clean and polite in the house. The most affordable of numerous estimates and understood the job we wanted to have done. Punctual daily and the job finished on the date estimated. Will use again in future.

Don came out and was super reasonable. He called before dropping in because he was running ahead of schedule. Nice guy, knows his stuff.

Borth-Wilson was recommended by our neighbor who spoke highly of his experience, so we decided to use Borth- Wilson for the first time on a recent project in our basement. Don, the owner, came out for the estimate which is not just an estimate, but is what you will actually pay. He described what needed to be done and how long it would take. The technician who did the work was on time, courteous and finished on time, as promised. He ended up doing the work after a week of rain so created a muddy mess. Which he cleaned up completely.

Its not often that you get someone who quotes you a price and gives you a time estimate and then deliver both exactly as promised. Couple this with timely, polite and hard working people who like what they do, and you end up with a very nice experience. I would highly recommend this company.

WE had Borth-Wilson remodel our main Bathroom. Their work was exceptional in all aspects. Starting with Don ( owner) coming over for estimate then Marah and Carlie with putting the plans and selections into place. The specialists who did all the work, from Casey, Zack , Dave, Bill, John and Kevin. All were professional , clean, knowledgeable and helpful. The couple of minor glitches that we incurred, were resolved quickly and satisfactorily, and it was all on budget! ! ! They were Awesome ! !! 7 people were involved in remodeling 2 bathrooms. We found all of them to be personable, hard working, knowledgeable, and careful most of the time. Expediter needs to sharpen his communication skills. Would recommend the tarps be cleaned or replaced in between jobs. Would give the nod to Borth-Wilson if we had another remodel job unless a competitor knocked our socks off.

I originally tried working with separate contractors, but I had a hard time over the years finding reputable contractors with whom I could develop trust, get an honest quote from, that also provided personal service and wanted to do a small job. I decided to go with Borth-Wilson where everything was done at once. I would pay for the service again to not have to deal with seperate contractors and receive the professional relationship I did with them. Borth-Wilson kept me informed right from the start of what to expect and stayed with the quote. All of the workers were personable and nice from the beginning to the end. The result was a beautiful bathroom and exactly what they said they would do. Expect a little dust, expect them to take their time to do the job done right the first time, expect if there is a concern they get back to you ASAP and that they will work with you as best as they can. Pay a little more for the quality you want, spend time picking out what you want, and you will be satisfied with what they do as whole. I will work with them again.

Fantastic service!!! We had what we thought was a clogged pipe in the bathroom sink. The person who scheduled our appointment was pleasant and knowledgable, and so was the plumber that came out! He was able to get it all fixed up for us, and it turned out it was rust buildup in our pipes that could only be accessed from the roof. We made the mistake of calling roto-rooter the first time, and all they could tell us was that they didn't know but we could keep paying for labor to continue snaking the line. I would reccomend this business to anyone and everyone looking for services!! I feel like the price that we paid for the service was absolutely reasonable too!
