We called Chris the day of my mother's issue. Her toilet was backed up and she was having all types of plumbing issues. Chris and his assistant came out in the middle of a winter storm to assess her plumbing issues. Sherry who was in constant contact with myself and my mother (71 yrs. young) informed us of when Chris and his assistant would come out to her home to look at the problem. They were there in no time. They fixed the plumbing in the home and even went outside underneath her trailer. He informed us of the problems under ground which clearly can't be rectified until Spring given the harsh winter weather and that was out of their control. However, the did fix the inside plumbing within the mobile home. They explained everything to us and charged a reasonable amount for coming on such short notice and working in a snow storm. They were very polite and did what they could thoroughly informing us that they clearly couldn't fix what was wrong underground due to the harsh winter weather, however they stated they would come back to fix the issue underground when the weather had subsided. Top notch job and we will certainly call them again to come out. Fantastic people, responsive immediately and tell you what's happen in layman's terms. We will certainly recommend Tuffys to other's in need of plumbing repair or diagnostics.

I had a major problem with a sewer line that needed significant repair. Jeff was able to quickly diagnose the problem and started working on the problem that day. He and his team were able to fix the problem quickly and efficiently. Good experience overall.

We heard of O & W Heating and Cooling through our local hardware store. We called them when we had an emergency leaking AC. Omer came out that day, he worked around our work schedule, he did an amazing job locating and fixing the problem. He explained everything he was doing to us so we understood, he gave us great tips for preventative maintenance. We also learned they do a wide variety of repair work on all types of things from Plumbing to Electrical in addition to the Heating/AC. The pricing was fair and the quality was well worth it! We will be using them for many more projects around our new home in the near future. Would highly recommend this company!

John (master plumber) was recommended by a friend of mine and he came out to look at the work needing to be done giving free advice. However even after hours of confirming he would be out here to do the work he never showed up. He never called back or returned any of the messages that were left. I waited all day for Friday and am now without any running water in my house for the weekend and gosh knows when until I can find another plumber to come out and fix my busted water pipe. I thought I could really trust this person and had he even called to tell me something came up or any reason he couldn’t do the job would have been acceptable but I heard nothing back! This company unfortunately can not be trusted to show up to do the work needed to fix any problems.

Chris was very kind and professional. He also drove from quite a ways away to address my emergency. He took the time to explain to me where our water shut off valves where to stop the leaking to prevent any more damage until he arrived. He also explained what he was going to do to repair the leaking pipes. Oftentimes, as a young woman, I have contractors come out for quotes, and they are condescending and rude and want to speak to the man in the house. Chris was not that way. He was courteous and respectful. I also felt very comfortable with him being in my home. He was quick and organized. He also cleaned up after himself. I will definitely be using him for my future plumbing needs.

This company never did any work for me so I can not complain or praise the type of work that they perform. I will say that I made an appointment for one of their technicians to come out to give me a quote on upgrading a boiler and I waited two hours and no one ever showed up nor did anyone call to cancel. I believe this is unprofessional and the sad part is this is a contractor whom number I got off the city website.

Called Alpine back in Feb 2017 because I wasn’t getting enough hot water. Was told I needed a new hot water heater, to the tune of around $1700. When I called back a few weeks later and explained that this didn’t fix the problem, I basically got the cold shoulder, no attempt to correct or address the issue.

Several months later, I had an issue with mold in the utility room. Upon investigating, my husband and I found that one of the HVAC drain hoses was up against the wall, nowhere near the floor drain, causing condensate to run under the wall. I can’t prove that their installer moved it, but he was the last one in there, and judging by the quality of the cleanup, I definitely wouldn’t be surprised.

A few weeks ago (June 2021), I noticed I had no hot water on a Sunday evening. Circuit breaker was tripped. Thought, “weird, but maybe has something to do with everyone running AC with the heat wave”, so reset it. Still no hot water. Called the 24 hour ‘hotline’ and left a message. No call back. Called Monday morning, left a message. Received a voicemail an hour or so later that someone could be out today in the afternoon, and I should call back to confirm if that worked for me, when I called back (within two minutes of it being left), a most unpleasant woman told me that they had a tech available, but was he now booked, as I hadn’t called back quickly enough and I could either pay them for overtime to come out that night or wait until tomorrow. When I explained how unhappy I was and how wrong I thought that was, I was told to call someone else.

After making a few more calls, my husband ended up taking a look at it. First thing he found was that the flexible conduit running to the heater was as loose as can be on the water heater end. On inspecting connections to the incoming power, one of the wire nuts had melted, then wires melted through the plastic inside the connection area, shorting to the shell of the heater (ground). Note that the melted wire nut was apparently yellow (see pic). My husband noted that per the package of wire nuts, ‘yellow’ is undersized for this application (2 x #10 AWG), they both should have been red, as the other one was. Oh, and the conduit was so loose because the hole in the cover was about 3 sizes too big for the fitting used- and rather than use a couple of $0.59 reducing washers, they just flopped it together as is.

As my husband put it, one doesn’t need to be an electrician to figure something like this out – I would surely expect someone who installs stuff like this to know how to use the right fittings and components. Thank God for circuit breakers, or my house almost surely would have burned down…

Switched a few years ago from Iron Fireman and so glad we did! Action does a complete and through job! Kurt B is the guy we trust to clean and check our boiler system! He is knowledgeable and makes us feel safe and we can rest easy knowing the heating system in the house will get us through our tough cold winters! I want to thank Paul and PJ's Plumbing for the service they have provided to me over the past 5 years. Most recently I called Paul because I lost a diamond pendant in my bathroom sink drain. Paul was out the same day and found my pendant. I cannot thank PJ's enough. Over the five years that I have used them for plumbing services, they have always been prompt and provided excellent service.
