We called Blackburn Davis to help install a smart toilet, upon arrival the two men stated they had never installed a toilet like that and did not like fancy toilets, they spent over an hour on the telephone (mostly on hold) with the manufacturer. I was eventually handed the phone to explain the issue and was told parts were missing. Granted missing parts were not Blackburns' fault and ultimately the toilet was sent back and replaced and we installed it personally (all handled by ourselves, not them). However, we were charged $220.00 for a phone call (I did most of the explaining). I called owner/manager and was told the charge was the charge and it did not matter if they did anything; the meer fact they were dispatched was the reasoning. I offered half the service charge as a consult/estimate a very average charge for other services but was told it was unacceptable. We will NEVER use them again and will not recommend them either.

Service was fine, just very dissatisfied with the installation charges. I heard the tech ask someone on the phone what to charge for the installation of a furnace part. The part price was covered under warranty. He responded to who ever he was talking to that it took about an hour tp go get the part and about an hour to install. Well he was here about a half hour total to remove and replace the part. So I didn't know part of the installation would be to pay the tech to go where ever to pick up the part. Anyway I was charged $175.00 for a half hour part replacement. I think that is way out of bounds. I won't be calling them back.

Schardein has been a #1 service contractor with our facilities. This is a top notch company who will deal with all the customers needs. Each service person is a professional and well versed in make and models in the industry.
Dealing with all levels of office staff, we are treated as a customer with number one priority. There are much larger customers Schardein has. We feel we are job one. A very well rounded company.

UPDATE: A representative called to discuss the surprise charge and was very polite and listened to my feedback and helped make things right.Quick fix that was covered by our parts warranty but still charged me a lot of money for just coming to my house and installation of covered part.

Eric, the service technician, was on time, professional and did a great job on cleaning our furnace unit!

He also answered any questions I had. We had an early bird discount too that helped save us $$$$.

Eric also wore his plastic cover booties which was much appreciated!

I will be calling them before summer to clean and check my central air-conditioning unit as well! 😁
