For instance, he recommended we do nothing for a small shower handle leak (I appreciate someone who recommends what’s best for us, rather than trying to push for a project we’re better off without). Company responded to my request quickly. David arrived a few hours later, as planned. Diagnosed and fixed a difficult drainpipe clog. Repaired pipes. Also, diagnosed an old bathroom faucet leak. Family plumbing plan will probably work out well for us.

Geo installed a new water heater in the basement of our hundred year old house. He gave us important advice and information on what size and type of heater we needed, and even advised us to spend less money than we might have otherwise.

I have been utilizing Mikes Plumbing and Heating since the fall of 2010. They made my transition into my new old home much smoother and livable. They gave a reasonable quote, thoroughly explained why, and were immediately available to do the work.

They charged me $175 for a visit to diagnoses a knocking pipe noise. Obviously the tech they sent wasn’t experienced enough to be able to diagnose a faulty PVR (pressure regulating valve). This is after showing the noise was emanating from pipes near the main water line. He went around house turning on and off smaller shut off valves, didn’t test water pressure or anything and just said I’d maybe have to do a costly repair and cut through dry wall to diagnose where the noise and still he wasn’t sure of the cause. $175 for a non reliable assessment and I would come to find out later a very inaccurate assessment.

I was later able to deduce on my own through research and a utility website tip that it was the PVR. Annoying since I could have used that $175 to fix the issue either with this company, had they had a clue what to do, but instead I had to endure the noise longer for months until I was able figure out the issue myself. After giving this company $175 of my money and time, I went this time with a more knowledgeable master plumber who was able to fix the issue and under $300.
