These guys were the best. We had a sewer backup issue, and after a couple visits from another company, they determined there was massive blockage in the sewer pipes from at least a year ago. Jesse came out and started tearing up the floor to access the pipes, and the team came out the next day to replace everything. Fantastic job. Friendly, explained everything. Highly recommended

We recently moved to Pittsburgh and were looking for a solid plumbing and heating company. Based on South Side Plumbing & Heating's reviews and my conversations with Bill and John, we hired them for a major plumbing fix and new A/C installation and couldn't be happier. Ryan and Josh were fantastic installing our new Trane A/C system! The entire team, from the front office to the expert technicians are professional, knowledgeable and responsive! Amazing company! We’ve used them for multiple projects and they have been very professional and great on pricing. Definitely recommend if you want an honest company that cares about building good relationships with their customers.

We have an old house with lots of repairs over the years. The guys at Jaros were responsive to our inspection request and helped us prioritize projects. When we discovered a damaged cast iron drain in a wall, they came out asap to replace it. Thanks guys.

Matt Mertz Plumbing was recommended to us by two of our clients so we reached out when we needed to address an issue pertaining to our storm/sewer lateral. Technician, Chris Sperl, stopped by our home and gave me excellent advice, though it cost him the opportunity to do the work I thought I wanted. Chris was experienced, friendly, and professional. The least I can do is leave Matt Mertz Plumbing a good review!

These are the most inefficient, disrespectful, unorganized and forgetful group of plumbers in Pittsburgh. If they show up, you may get an hour or two of solid work from them. Otherwise, they are the least professional plumbing bunch that I’ve met in all of my work and construction experience. Almost everything they installed or repaired is unfinished or leaking. Did I mention they have no concept of time management?

I have never dealt with such a lack of customer service in my life. There is a significant lack of communication between the in field plumbers and office staff. When I called to schedule them to come back, the woman who answered only wanted to argue her point rather than listening to the customer or being apologetic that they could not deliver on what was communicated to me by the plumbers. Then they sent me a bill for their service even though they were not able to do anything to fix my issue while they were here. I had 2 plumbing companies come out to try to solve the issue. Neither could solve it at the time but, they were the only company that sent us a bill. When I called to talk to the owner about my bill, the woman who answers their phones AGAIN argued with me and did not allow me to speak to anyone else. I have never experienced such horrid customer service. Do yourself a favor and go with a company that cares about their customers like Trout plumbing!

Edited to add**** Even their response to this review is about them trying to argue their point! No desire to make it right with the customer. Only concerned with being right and getting the last word! Obviously, I'm not alone as there are many other 1 star reviews here.

Vince did a good job with some plumbing work for me. He was able to diagnose my real issue (unlike multiple other plumbers who came out to look at the job) and saved me some money. He knows his stuff and is very observant.

I got a hold of them through one of the task apps. Then the guy text me and said he was at the door. No one was there and I checked the video cameras. When I told him about it, they just simply stop responding. I don’t know how they got such high reviews on the other place because the three-point something on Google reviews seems more like it for the customer service provided.
