Robert at SOS plumbing has helped me out with several plumbing issues over the past year including installing a new toilet, making several smaller repairs and installing/upgrading a water heater. Robert was on time or early for all the jobs and offered clear information on the projects he was performing. He was quick to figure out our issues and kept the prices affordable. Left a giant mess from drywall dust, as well as black sludge footprints in my (I have carpet in my place) and my downstairs neighbor's (he has all hardwood floors) apartments, the main stairwell and entryway (all carpeted), the steps to the basement, and finally black sludge water all over the basement floor, where we do laundry. None of the workers wore shoe coverings, and apparently Jason, the owner, expect his guys to take their shoes off, I guess so they could soak up the water with their socks. They were here to replace the old lead stacks in the plumbing with new PVC, they old replaced a part of it. They were supposed to do all 4 apartments in a 4-family flat, hopefully they will not be returning to do the other 2 apartments.

As a property manager, it is very important that we respond quickly when our tenants have problems in the home. We recently had a water heater go bad within days of a tenant moving in and no more than 2 weeks later we had issues with the furnace. On both occasions Jim came to the rescue. Not only did he take care of the problem quickly, but his knowledge and professionalism made a lasting impression.He takes the time to explain everything and you will have no doubt about what the problem is and how it is being fixed. I had an extensive plumbing problem which involved replacing all my sewer pipes the entire length of my split level home. I called numerous well known plumbing companies and none wanted to tackle such an extensive project. Vince from Byrd Plumbing in St Charles came out and did an assessment of the project. He gave me a bid that seemed reasonable. The plumbers who worked on the job were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They far exceeded my expectations in completing the work. When the project was finished, the cost was lower than I expected. Vince, the owner of the company, could not have been nicer. He is a genuine, sincere and honest man who I trust completely. I would highly recommend Byrd Plumping to any of my family or friends.

My recent experience with this company was awful. I REPEAT DO NOT refer anyone to this company. They were called out to run a diagnostic on a AC unit. The guy washed it off and then told me I had too much pressure so he took refrigerant out ( 2lbs). It got cooler after a new filter and the rinse. The next day it got worse. And they want to charge me to come out again and fix or run another diagnostic. After they took the r-22 out. They should’ve paid me instead they charged me $319. RUN BEFOREy THEY OVERCHARGE AND TAKE YOUR REFRIGERANT ( r-22) just to have your compressor break down and cause you to purchase an entire unit.
