Alan's Flooring Flooring Contractor
I had to replace my Jacuzzi tub spigot. This require tile to be cut to permit my plumber to access it. Alan cut the tile neatly and after the plumber finished, he installed new tile cut perfectly to fit and sealed with caulking. This thoughtful touch will enable any future repair/replacements to be easily & less expensively made. Additionally, Alan replaced some 30 year old hallway floor tile grouting and installed silicon seal to close a gap between indoor tile flooring and the frames for 2 of my outdoor door frames.

He was a pleasure to deal with, did excellent work and cleaned up after himself!

Urban Customs Flooring Contractor
Rachel was terrific to work with. She understood what I needed and provided the best plan for cabinets. In addition, she looked for sales in Waypoint cabinets and passed on the savings to us. Then when she had the old cabinets removed, she donated them to a charity and gave us the receipt for our taxes. Few contractors do these services. She and Heath also stand by their product and do small tweaking (no large issues).

Express Flooring Phoenix Flooring Contractor
Their communication at this company is so bad that Kelly called me twice to see how my installation went. I told her it was never done on 9/5/2018. She then called me back again on 9/7/2018 in the evening to ask the same question and I had to explain the whole situation to her and that Henry had cancelled my order because I would not pay an additional $250.00 on top of the original agreed amount. I was told there would be a seem as the carpet roll is only 12 feet wide and he told me that he had the best quality padding with the great barrier that he would include. However, he did NOT tell me the whole installation process and what he told me he did not pass on to the installation crew. Kyle said I needed 31 yards, which I agreed to and he called and ordered it while I sat right next to him. I paid the $250.00 deposit right then with a balance of $750.00 due on 9/5/2018 when they come to do the install, however it was not enough carpet to create one seam. Instead, the installer told me he would have to cut the end of the roll off and then cut that into 4 pieces then seam all those pieces together creating 4 seams instead of one. The installer had less than 31 yards and was also missing the correct carpet padding with the barrier I was promised by Kyle. It is unprofessional and not recommended to have more than one or two seams in carpet as it will ruin the integrity of the carpet. That is not my fault it is their fault. They need to communicate with each other because it only upset me more to get another call from Express Flooring from someone who had no idea what was going on. It is not my fault that their so-called professionals did not measure correctly and misinformed me from the beginning. I found out more information from the installer than I did from the sales person. I told Henry, this was not my fault and they need to communicate better and send out the installer with the sales person so that they do not do this to anyone else again. They wasted my entire day as I moved all my furniture in anticipation of the installed new carpet and took the day off work without pay for nothing. I do not get paid to wait on carpet installation or to explain to their employees what they did wrong or to go back and forth over the phone for two days. I am still waiting for my refund and have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for fraud.

Guardian Garage Floors Flooring Contractor
Chase & Keenan did our floor, arrived at 7:15 & they worked very hard and were finished by 2:15. They went above & beyond accommodating the way I wanted the flooring to look. We could walk on the floor in 8 hrs if needed and put the car back in the garage in 48 hrs. They always communicated with us to ensure we understood the process. We also loved that the company & workers are veterans. The garage floor is beautiful we love it and have gotten so many compliments. The process that they use is Polyaspartic Polyurea a great product better than epoxy. and you get a lifetime guarantee in writing. We would definitely recommend the company and their staff

MicMar Demolition, Wood & Tile Contractors Flooring Contractor
My experience with MicMar wasn't as good. Started to plan my floor project and demo with them a few months ago. Spent a lot of time and many trips to their office for picking up samples to get the exact floor that we wanted and finally a few months later we were ready to get started. In the meantime we went thru 2 floor estimators (the first one was let go and the 2nd one left the company for medical reasons) and the 3rd estimator was about to cash in on all the hard work that was done by the previous estimator until I was told that he will do me a favor and honor the price that I was giving on the floor a few months ago because the material prices went up since. So just to be clear with his statement I specifically asked him on what he is referring to. Labor prices? Internal material prices? Manufacturer prices? His response was that they are charging me less for labor and the manufacturer increased the prices on the floors we picked out. The only thing he was not aware of is that I spoke directly to the manufacturer prior and specifically asked the regional representative if they increased any pricing on this specific flooring that we picked. His answer was no. When confronting the situation and flat out calling the estimator out on his lie in a chain of emails and I also had the owner Mike copied on the email. I got an answer from the owner right away to apologize for the misunderstanding and asked me how he can help. When I replied and asked him not to insult me with a misunderstanding statement since everything is in black and white on the email chain and challenge him to explain what I misunderstood. He went silent and received an email days later from another person that work there that she is trying to explain that their buying power is not as much and they're a small shop. According to the regional representative they did not increase any prices so I'm not sure where that is coming from.
Bottom line is if you want to get your floors or any demolition done by an honest company that don't lie to try to make a sale look elsewhere. I will NOT recommend them to any of my friends and family and I hope you do the same.
I do understand that they do have to make a profit but try to be honest and don't lie to your customers that are spending a lot of money. Also if they just admit to the lie since everything was documented in an email chain maybe I would have gave them another chance.
