Best Kitchen Remodel Project in Phoenix AZ

My wife and I purchased our Home, a Midcentury Modern built in 1955 by Ralph Haver in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. The Home had original ungrounded wiring with exposed wire splicing. There were also two rooms that were added by a previous owner without permits.

Ultimately, we wanted to fully restore our Home to its original character, while at the same time, installing all of the safety, amenities and conveniences found in homes of new construction today.

We interviewed a handful of contactors for this task, Steve Shinn from Homework Remodels being one of them. Steve immediately stood out from the group. We found him easy to talk to, prompt and extremely knowledgeable with the historic characteristics of our Haver Home.

With Steve’s help, we nearly rebuilt most of the major components of our Home. When it was said and done, we upgraded the entire wiring and electric panel, installed new HVAC main unit and ducting lines, replaced all of the plumbing lines (both supply and drain lines including the sewer), installed LED recessed lighting throughout the Home, constructed a stem wall, a trench drain and added mini split HVAC units which the City required for issuing permits for the two unpermitted rooms, installed a 16” slider to the backyard, utilized steel beams to remove loan bearing walls in order to open up the kitchen and the living rooms, installed a tankless water heater system, applied sprayed insulation in the small attic, and performed various other upgrades.

We are very happy with Steve’s work. We found Steve’s work to be of high quality and found Steve’s expertise and creativity in helping rebuild our Haver Home to be invaluable.

We plan on hiring Steve in the near future to complete Phase 2 of our Home, which will include all of the finishes.

From beginning to end, we had a positive experience with Tim, Mark H., Blake K., and Korven. The finished product is beautiful!

I engaged Todd Whittaker Drywall to repair a whole in the side of my garage where we removed an old swamp cooler and thus had to patch up the wall inside and out. The company was very responsive in terms of wanting to engage on my project and sent someone out within about 2 weeks to scope the work. The scoping went fine, their price was reasonable and so scheduled the repair. Once they came to do the repair, it proceeded without a hitch and they basically finished it in one day and it looks great! I'm more than happy to recommend Todd Whittaker Drywall for this type of work.

I will start by saying that most of the trades people were very nice and happy to explain their process. The owner was responsive when we hit a plumbing snag. Unfortunately, that’s where it ends. Our rude project manager made the experience unpleasant. The completed project shows a definite lack of attention to detail and is not what one would expect from a professional remodeling company. We have two remaining rooms to complete in our home but will not be using Holtzman nor can we recommend based on our own personal experience.

Neoteric Builders completed a whole house remodel, top to bottom. The workers were friendly and professional, work completed as promised and the result is a beautiful “new” home! I would not hesitate to use them again and certainly recommend them.

The guy described things a lot more than others did. The pricing was maybe a little higher but it wasn't out of the realm and the thing I liked the most about them was their lifetime warranty. Highly satisfied.

Absolutely Amazing Transformation!
Everything was handled professionally. Zach clearly stated the cost, Process and schedule up front. The process that Kitchen revival use is incredible, i researched several companies regarding cost and process and decided to go with Kitchen Revival. I had the cabinets in a full kitchen and two bathrooms resurfaced with a hard wearing Laquer from a 1990's Whitewash Oak to a modern light gray with bronze hardware. Saved me thousands over a new kitchen or even door replacement.

Amber the owner is very professional. She came to our house and had her assistant take notes. The next appointment was in their showroom. We saw what she had envisioned for us based on our requests. The presentation was very much on point and we viewed our future kitchen on the TV screen. At first I didn't realize it was our kitchen as it looked like a commercial and so different than our present kitchen. We decided to sign up with them.

They did work on our bathroom 5 years ago finding out recently. That they cut so many corners on the work they did . Would highly recommend not using them.

I like to shop out getting things done before picking a company. Diamond Granite & Remodeling was my third quote that I received. Not only were they willing to do the entire job without me needing to outsource plumbing, electrical, cutting down a wall... their pricing was fair, they were able to give me a quote on the spot. And at the end of the project, there were no hidden or extra fee's. It truly was amazing working with them. Rachel was also fabulous with communicating through text and making sure everything through the process was taken care of.
