My wife and I did a lot of research collecting and formulating in advance our goals for our kitchen remodel. Steve Shinn and Aaron Thomas were extremely professional in every phase of the project. Our 1981 semi-custom home in Tempe was not an open floorplan by design. Steve listened and looked at all our research and together we came up with solutions that met our expectations and budget. Steve applied the classic work space triangle concept that is the cornerstone to making our new kitchen chef friendly. He included some extras like the pull out vertical pantry cabinets, deep appliance drawer cabinets and two waist-high spice drawers that are all utilized daily. Soffits were removed to allow full height upper cabinets greatly expanding cabinet capacities.

We wanted the warm look and feel of wood cabinetry. In particular we liked the minimum reveal look associated with modern European style cabinets. Steve did trade-off comparisons for us on locally crafted vs factory cabinets from the east coast. The local source worked out well as some unplanned adjustments were quickly crafted with little delay to the project.

We further challenged Steve with our lighting and power requirements. We have zoned ceiling lighting with small LED can lights as LED's were then becoming reasonably priced. All the appliance power outlets are hidden under the cabinets and under the granite breakfast bar. This solution allowed for a plug free stainless steel continuous backsplash with under cabinet mounted LED lighting.

In summary: Our experience using Homework Remodels was beyond our expectations. They should be high on your list to talk to and see if they can be the solution you have been looking for your remodel.

True professionals, everything was right on time they were reliable we put off doing the kitchen and bathroom remodel just because of the headache of dealing with non-professionals and contractors who will take your deposit and show up whenever it’s convenient for them and take weeks longer than they anticipated we have had night contractor stories In the past... If there is one contractor in the state of Az that I trust, it would be Ben Shoval. After dealing with Az slimy contractors, Ben presented himself very honestly. If I had an issue, he took care of it. He took our feedback with grace, and dignified it with a positive result. He also hired 2 very nice steady subcontractors that did an amazing job. We will use him again for future business.

I utilized the services of Handyman connection on two occasions and was very pleased with the service and work i received. David DePaul did a great job for me. He is professional, timely, thoughtful, insightful and knowledgeable about the work he does and willing to make suggestions and recommendations regarding the work he is doing while he is doing it. I really appreciated all the work he did including replacing a ceiling fan, centering my dining room chandelier, installing dimmer switches, replacing my bathroom shower head and assembling/hanging an outdoor wall water fountain in my back yard. I would highly recommend Handyman Connection and David.

Quentin and his team do some of the best work I have ever experienced. I recently had pavers put in my backyard and received many bids. Some contractors told me it would take 4-5 days. Urban Element completed the project in 2 days and even rerouted our sprinkler system lining the pavers. They gave us 6 extra spouts ensuring the coverage was accurate for our size lawn. This is what it is about!! I need someone that will do what is RIGHT not what is easiest. Thank you Urban Element for a job well done.
