Called on recommendation of appliance repairman. Timely response but regardless of issue or time spent, lowest level charge is $485. Seems grossly excessive and bears no relation to problem found. Tech spent equal time trying to up sell.

As a general contractor of over 10 years, I do not believe the company is capable of managing any work that requires a permit or is complex in nature. The electrician performing the work (Ben) was easy to work with, communicated well, and provided a great installation that easily passed inspection. My compliant lies with the permitting/inspection process for a $14,000 project involving a new 200A service to my outbuilding. Inspection has been called for by The Wire Nut three times, and either no one was present for the inspection, or the permit card was not on-site. As of today, after 8 business days of trying to get this inspection performed, I finally went to the Arapahoe County building department, paid a $42 re-inspection fee on the permit originally obtained by The Wire Nut, obtained a duplicated permit card, and scheduled my own trench and meter inspection so I can bury the line that has been open for 5 weeks myself just so I can get this project over with. I'm sure the company is great for adding light fixtures, outlets, or even a panel swap, but I would be very wary of hiring them for a project of any complexity or size.

We had Ryan out this morning to assist with a plumbing issue in our kitchen sink, and he was outstanding. Very friendly, professional, and honest. Would gladly have him back anytime. He quickly diagnosed the issue and went out of his way to fix it for us. Very impressed with him!

Frank installed central A/C for us for the second time and we always enjoy his services. Every time we use Frank, he ends up fixing other areas around the appliance to ensure that his work is 100% correct and safe. He always goes above and beyond and cant recommend him highly enough

William T replaced our hot water heater but he really went above and beyond. He installed the new unit and completely repiped the equipment, and spent almost 12 hours working on it to ensure that it was done before I left on a business trip the next day. I can’t speak highly enough about his professionalism, which is what I’ve always experienced with Applewood. This company isn’t the cheapest, but they are the best. You really do get what you pay for with Applewood.

Brian is very professional and did a great job replacing a hose bib and cut off valve. The working area of the pipe was very small but Brian handed it with great skill Left everything tidy when he was finished.

We had our sewer line replaced and requested an additional cleanout be installed near the edge of the property. It needed to have a traffic rated box installed over it. The box was not available at the time of the repair. I reached out numerous times to get them to come back to install it. When they finally did, they did not encase it in concrete as originally specified. They simply set it on the ground, with no attempt to make it secure. Now once again I cannot get a reply. It is very frustrating when you pay for something and you cannot get them to follow through.

July 2020 - Two very professional service calls by GW this week. Their technician Greg Smith, was polite courteous and extremely neat. He replaced a hose bib, toilet and replaced a leaking drain for the bathroom vanity sinks. To complete the last job he had to open up the wall to gain the needed access. he took the time to make the hole as neat as possible and preserve the tile so that it could be replaced.June 2018 - We really appreciated the service that Golden West provided when our sewer pipes backed up on a Saturday night. Despite the late night call out Monica was understanding and got a technician out to us promptly who solved our problem. Jose was pleasant, courteous and efficient. Can't recommend them enough and will definitely call them next time we need work done.Highly satisfied in Littleton!
