My family very recently moved to the area from the West Coast and purchased a new home that had multiple red-line electrical inspection items that were called out. Our next-door neighbor had a great experience with Carolina Electric Pro's and suggested that we give them a call, and I'm glad that we did. We were having a new hot tub delivered and needed the power ran because the hot tub company would not do it. North Carolina electrical contractors came out and helped us upgrade our service from an old 60 amp panel and meter base to a whole new 200 amp service in order to accommodate the new load from the hot tub. We now have plenty of power for a possible electric car in the future which we were beginning to contemplate as well. They were on time and did amazing work, we thought it would be three day process and they knocked it out in 1 1/2 days. Extremely impressed, will refer this company to anyone I know looking for or needing any type of electrical work.

I called Ronnie at Sky Electric based on the reviews here, and he did not disappoint! I needed lights and outlets installed for a newly built detached garage/workshop, and his bid came in at roughly half of what others had quoted me (I suspected many of the other bids were inflated b/c the job was small-ish and they didn't want the work). He started on time, ran the permitting himself, and finished the job on time and on budget. He was great to work with, friendly and immediately responsive at all times! Even when there was some additional work needed, he stuck to his original bid. This is clearly an electrician who wants long-term clients, not one-off customers. Will gladly recommend Sky Electric to anyone who needs a quality job done at a fair and honest price.

We are very happy with Bates Electric! Peter Herres was very professional! He installed 3 dimmers, and fixed an outage issue in our bonus room. He did it all in two hours. Other companies were looking to overcharge us, and said it would take hours to fix the issue. Peter figured it out right away. I appreciate his honesty, and patience with us. Below is a picture of the flashing at the mast head. When brought to the electrician's attention, it was repaired (somewhat). Anyone who installs mast heads needs to know how to install the roof flashing that goes with it. Recommendation for improvement. Overall, from what I can see it was a good job. Got a quick quote. Company go the job done quickly. Lots of communication from the office staff about scheduling. Thanks.

The name discount electrical is a joke!. We had a light fixture that needed repair and thought it was wiring. However we only needed a different type of bulb. I was shocked when we received a bill for $125 yes $125 to change a lightbulb. He showed up an hour late and had to use our ladder! We don't mind paying for someones time but this is price gauging at its finest. Someone with this type of ethics to charge that much for that level of work should not be in business. Please do your research and be aware so you don't have to over pay like we just did.
