Our home had an electrical box from the 60's which was likely the same time as when the service wires from the street were installed. In the middle of a Sunday night I was woken up by a loud bang and all of our lights flickering. I went to the basement to find the wires entering the house scorched, smoking, and buzzing. Since the wires in the wall were still live, we shut the power off to the house. I spent the rest of the night with a flashlight, fire extinguisher, and googling local electricians.Since this was an emergency situation I called several electricians the next morning with the hope someone would get back to me asap. Lauterborn Electric had great reviews and even had examples of our exact issue on their website so my hope was to get through to them.One of the reviews had mentioned to call the mobile # for Lauterborn and to not be discouraged if you went to the voicemail because Larry, the owner, would call you back in a few minutes. Sure enough, this is exactly what happened. I left a voicemail and he called me back within 5 minutes. No other electrician called me back, still hasn't.Larry was very friendly, listened to my issues, and said he would be out that afternoon to look into it. Him and his son Larry showed up, assessed the wires, let me know exactly what I needed and the exact cost it would be and that they could get it done the next day. They also cut the lines to the house so I didn't have a live wire in my wall over night.Sure enough, they showed up when they said they would the next day and finished everything up by that afternoon. Larry and his sons were very courteous, kept the work space clean, and took any residual trash with them.I have some electrical knowledge so I can tell you the work they did was beyond exceptional, they built a wall for the new service box and meter, they installed all of our existing circuits into the new box extremely neatly, they properly grounded everything with the cold water line and a ground rod (which you don't typically have in older row homes), weather proofed and protected the service line from the street all the way down and into the house, and did it all at a great price.I can't say enough good things about these guys. Larry said they do work all over, but we're in Port Richmond so they're local and will be who we call for any electrical work in the future. Thanks again Larry.

I used Linc Electric to trouble shoot a bad neutral wire in a circuit that past electricians could not fix. Linc’s electrician showed up on time and was very professional. We discussed my options and potential costs. He resolved the issue, explained to me in depth what the problem was, and how to prevent it in the future. Overall my experience was excellent, Linc was professional and reliable; I would use their services for all future electrical needs.

After an initial miscommunication and misunderstanding, I got a call from the co-owner Ryan, who introduced himself, apologized profusely for the confusion, and promised to PERSONALLY make it right and have me as a customer. I decided to accept the contrition... we set up another appointment, and Ryan (and his work partner) arrived promptly. They were clean, respectful of my home (wrapped their boots, etc), and professional without being stiff. Overall I am pleased with the result of their work... if AngiesList website wasn't currently broken I'd have liked to edit this review and add a picture. Maybe someday. Anyway now I am enjoying cooking smokey-smelly foods while the fumes vent OUTSIDE the house, instead of filling up my kitchen and house. So I recommend EP Electric for your future electrical projects... however don't bother communicating with them on AngiesList... apparently whoever is handling their AngiesList messages/chat isn't doing their job right and needs to be retrained. So call EP Electric directly, and if possible ask for RYAN... he can take care of you the way he took care of me. OK wait, that sounded way creepier than intended but you know what I meant ?

After dealing with no calls back, no shows & condescending contractors, I was lucky to come across Protech Electrical Services. They had great reviews on Google & that held true for my experience. They returned my calls promptly, scheduled me quickly, & arrived on time. Melvin was extremely helpful explaining the situation and my options since I don’t know much about electrical work. He was very professional, friendly, and went above and beyond my expectations in completing the job. As a woman, it was relieving to be dealing with someone who wasn’t mansplaining or patronizing. I will definitely be using their services again & will recommend them to my friends.

Tom did a great job and was very reasonable in price. I am a general contractor with electrical experience and I needed Tom to finish a project for me. He did not make the the job into a bigger project than needed, most electricians with large overhead would have! Definitely would recommend

We had a breaker go out with no apparent cause in our new construction home. Had to get my house re-wired,some light that weren't up to code replaced, replace some wiring that was chewed up, and install an attic fan. They did an excellent job. The work was done in a timely fashion and they were there each day at 8 AM. Would recommend them for any electrical work that needs to be done. Also, they were very fair with the pricing.

After doing an assestment of the work I need done, he explained the job and gave me a written list of all cost.The very next Saturday they arrived at my home and completed the job. We used this service for a wire that was outside of our home to be fixed. They did the work . But with a two week something went wrong. I had to call a 24 hour electrician to come out and help us. Apparently the electrician split the wires and caused a shortage in my panel box. Never again.

Showed up the day after he did the work, early in the Am during a blizzard just make sure everything was ok.

Calvin was amazing. He was on time, professional, and meticulous. Calvin installed three lights for us and went above and beyond by patching some areas of drywall, thoroughly cleaning the task area, and even removed the trash from the new lights for us. endorse this company and Calvin/Trevor/Brett in particular. My experience with DMS Electric was absolutely great from start to finish.
