Nick and his partner were great at the panel change out. They had it completed in little over 1/2 a day! The panel was so much better than the old one. Surge protection and 200 amp grid break away switch is something I have never had in the 45 years we’ve lived in this house we had built. I’m so happy with the new panel, it’s access. These fellows really know their electricity. I hired TruTech because they are not Jack of all trades as others are they are professional electricians. We have used Duhon for electrical work many times over the years and always had a great experience. Most recently Damien and William helped upgrade the electrical system in an older (1940s) home including: Cleaning up loose electrical wires under the house in a tiny crawl space (making it safe to enter), consolidating and cleaning up our main electrical panel, grounding all of the major appliances, installing new ceiling fans and recessed lighting, and addressing other items found on a recent home inspection report. They always took the time to explain the work that needed to be done and then got it done. They are very busy, so it helps to schedule in advance (which I was able to do). Thanks Damien and William for the fantastic attention to detail and taking such good care of our home! I for one will be sleeping better tonight knowing my electrical system is well cared for.

We had a main breaker issue which kept tripping. I contacted Dial One Electrical services multiple times. Eric helped answer all my questions and he is very patient during the process. They were also able to find the electrician to come to help us with very a short notice. Overall very happy.

I initially called Mr Sparky up to have a few Camera flood lights installed. Russell came out and was extremely professional and gave me a complete electrical inspection of my entire home and came back with few recommendations as to help me get my house back up to code. If it were not for Russell and his expertise, I would have had about 6-10 outlets fail or even worse. I am very grateful for the excellent work and peace of mind now that I have my house up to code. We lost power in the outlets in both our bathrooms and on the back wall of the house after I tried to remove an exterior light. Angel was able to diagnose the problem right away and he spent no extra time fixing it and charging me unnecessary fees. He added my new outlets in the garage in a timely and friendly manner. Joe Trevino was an excellent help.On arrival was very friendly and professional; He inspected the unit and gave me a full break down, educating this new homeowner. He was thorough and quick on his return (my unit was a block of ice on the first visit) kept me informed and provided friendly conversation. During the Austin Ice Storm in February 2023 my Generac Generator was having issues. Joe was responsive and put me in touch with a service technician/electrician (Mario) who could not make it out due to a full schedule. However Mario took the time he had to FaceTime with me and had me prepare to show him our generator installation and the associated wiring. I safely (with power disconnected) traced and walked him through the wiring as he directed via the phone in the rain/sleet. He identified that the wiring was incorrectly connected to the Automatic Transfer Switch by another electrician which is apparently fairly common. I contacted the electrician whom performed the original installation and he corrected the issue. Following that, our generator ran without issue and continues to power our house while we await local repairs to the blown transformer/bulk electric grid. Thank you Joe and Mario!

Used this company several times. James and his team are prompt, polite and efficient. They are my go to people for any residential electrical work. Additional circuits, outlets, ceiling fans, timers. Nothing seems too big or too small. Highly recommended.

I've owned my house for 28 years, so I've had a lot of maintenance and I can say without reservation that 1st Home & Commercial is in a class by itself. No offense to other good contractors, but the difference is stricking. I recently needed major plumbing repairs and 1st Home & Commercial was recommended by a neighbor and today, they did AC maintenance work. Clay & Darin did a great job installing our new Tesla Wall Connector here in San Antonio. There were a few obstacles to overcome since the attic didn't continue above the garage, but they quickly came up with a solution and completed the job without any delays. The unit looks amazing, the outdoor routing of the wires was very professionally done and finished. The whole team from management to installation was very helpful and the installation was very well coordinated. Please avoid using this company as the person who schedules ( Mindy) their work is The most unprofessional person ever! She just cost me 4 hours of pay doing exactly what she wanted and not what the customer told her she could do. Appointment was set for 9 rescheduled for 12 then she told the tech the appointment was at 2. UPDATE-BACK STORY. Mindy tried to schedule an appointment set by the previous owners of my home the same day and was mad that I could not comply with an appointment that i was just finding out about that day. I do work and can not just get off for something that was NOT scheduled through me. I asked her to set up an appointment for a week and for it to be in the morning due to my work schedule. We did this and then she tried to move the date and time. I explained that I already had scheduled time off and could not move it. She then asked to move it to 2 not 9. I said no it needs to be in the morning due to my work schedule. I then asked the previous owners to schedule it because she was difficult to work with. I have emails that show 12 today as the time. Not last week or the week before. Then after I chose to give this review she called me to yell at me for the giving her a bad review. And this is the owner none the less. I’m just glad I didn't pay for their service as she was so unprofessional. On the bright side, Austin their Tech was awesome and super friendly. Maybe the owner should take notes.
