Professional, prompt, tidy, and efficient installation of my Tesla wall charger. They had to install pipes and wire around the back of the house to a carport.

They arrived on time, were very professional, very fair pricing, and completed the work quickly.

I haven't even paid them for work yet, but the quote process alone was amazing! They helped me better understand the safety hazards in my home, and went above and beyond by actually fixing one of the smaller electrical problems I was having. For example, I actually just installed an HVAC system in my home to find it wouldn't power on! But they traced the problem down to a tripped breaker during the quote process, and went ahead and just fixed it for me. Professional guys, did excellent work. Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable. Took care to do the job right — implementing a utility disconnect capability on the house breaker panel and adding both a generator inlet box and a RV power circuit. They thought the job through, pointing out all the implications, and tested the system after completing the work. Highly recommended!

Called about a GFCI plug that kept tripping. The electrician was able to help resolve the issue over the phone at no cost to me. He also offered some suggestions for improvements to get our home up to code. Decided to book them to come out and look at some other electrical work we've been putting off in addition to the suggestions for code improvements. Really appreciated their help getting our stuff working again without charging.

Hands down the best electrician we have used in Austin. Paul, and his son, were on time, did a great job of communicating issues and were reasonably priced. Two other items worth sharing: 1. Paul documented all his work - after the job, he sent me pictures (before and after) along with suggestions on how to address issues in the future. 2. I was extremely impressed with Paul operating a family business - his son is learning the trade and was involved in all the work. Kudos to ATEC for having a great family run business and providing excellent service!

Jonathan was, hands-down, the best home repair/tradesperson we have ever worked with in over 30 years of homeownership. When we had a near electrical fire because of a much-outdated breaker panel in our 1922 house and Jonathan found out about our situation, he began managing our project at a moment's notice. While larger companies were wanting to set up appointments for the future, Jonathan immediately understood the emergency nature of our problem and instantly engaged with our project with photos and questions. He proceeded to coordinate the permits needed with the city and the energy department right away, and he even drove to the city office in person to move our work along faster when city office workers didn't return his calls. He communicated clearly about the process every step of the way; he was efficient and on time; and he was a strong advocate for our emergency project with the horrible bureaucracy that is the City of Austin. We lost power in the outlets in both our bathrooms and on the back wall of the house after I tried to remove an exterior light. Angel was able to diagnose the problem right away and he spent no extra time fixing it and charging me unnecessary fees. He added my new outlets in the garage in a timely and friendly manner. Great Company! Very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. Very professional! I had a breaker panel replaced and they did an amazing job! They had to cut out sheetrock because the new panel was bigger than the old breaker panel I had. They left no mess and fit the new panel in as if it was the always there! I will definitely use them again!

I cannot recommend A-One Electric. I had an issue with a bedroom where every time I flipped on a light switch it tripped the breaker for the bedroom. A-One's technician arrived unprepared (without even the right type of breaker to swap into my panel) and without the necessary expertise to diagnose the problem. He looked in the light switch box and, without unscrewing anything, concluded everything looks right to me. He told me he could hunt around for the problem, but since he didn't know what he was looking for, he would only find it by luck. I told him no thanks. I gave a call to a friend of mine, and he explained that what I was looking for was something that was causing current to leak onto the ground wire, because this would cause the breaker to read a higher than normal change when the switch was flipped, and therefore trip the breaker. I found the problem - a wire with a slice in its protective coating - in the same switch box the technician had glanced in. A one-inch piece of electrical tape and the problem was solved. A-One sent me a bill for $95 for doing nothing. I understand the trip charge concept, but considering the details of the trip, I don't think it was deserved. I offered to split it with them ($45) and they said they would take me to small claims court. Nice.
