Update to review. Please note after my review I was contacted by A1 and to their credit they took ownership and rectified the issue.Old review-Be careful using A-1 plus electrical. They quoted us almost $800 to tighten a few outlets, replace a couple of light switches and install a ceiling fan and light fixture that were provide and purchased by me (customer). While this is expensive, I went ahead as we did not have the time to shop around and get other quotes. They call me with the work is completed and said they misidentified one an issue as a bad switch and said a separate light fixture need to be replaced. They then told me they need another $250 to replace the fixture due to a separate trip charge. This is outrageous, a proper electrician would have identified the fixture in the first place to avoid separate trips and an ethical electrician would have replaced the light fixture for just the fixture cost and not try and up-charge the customer a separate trip charge due to their own error in identifying a simple issue.

My income could not afford the job but they were so nice and courteous.

Called for estimate on Saturday afternoon. Electrician Ruben showed up early Monday morning. He contacted me and addressed all my voncerns.

I had my old breaker panel replaced with a new one ,installed a complete home surge protection system, installed a 50 amp outlet for a portable generator emergency backup system and had other electrical wiring check for safety. I must say I am completely satisfied with Oscar and his team they were very knowledgeable ,professional and answered all my questions and gave me a total price of all work to be done up front and in writing. They were on time did a great job installing everything and cleaned up the area before leaving. I will be using them for a few more jobs and I highly recommend for your electrical work.

My wife and I needed a generator receptacle installed next to the breaker panel, and also a transfer switch [to switch your power source from electricity provider to electric generator, in case the power went out].He presented our options, and we agreed on the job. Along the way we learned we needed to update the breaker panel, so he gave us a good deal on all three jobs. I called Excel Electricians Houston to help install a new bathroom light. The old fluorescent light was installed on the ceiling and the wires were coming from the side, so for the new light we needed a new wall box above the mirror. The electrician was very friendly and the job was done quickly and very well from start to finish. I am very satisfied with the price he gave and with the quality of the work.

Ohms did some work for me a couple years ago and did an excellent job. So I recently asked for a quote to do some additional work and they were very disappointing to work with this time around. It is unfortunate that their customer service is going to cost them this work and future work with me.The details - They failed to get me the first quote, and I had to call them to find out what happened and to get a second visit arranged. They then failed to show up for the second visit. When I called to find out what was going on, they fabricated a story that I had called them and said that “I was confused and didn’t want to get the work done”. After expressing my frustration, Tonya at Ohms proposed sending me a quote without having to do another visit, and recommended that it would make sense for my situation to split the work up into two quotes to tackle one at a time. The quote I received was not split and was incorrect in a few places. When I asked her to make the corrections, part of which was reducing the scope of work, she increased the cost by 30% in the updated quote, citing that the reason was efficiencies lost by having to make multiple trips (Ohms is 10 min from my house). She then lied to me for a second time when she stated that she never recommended multiple trips. It was at this point that I chose to go with another service provider.

Brian did an amazing job installing some window shades I bought online. He fixed the holes in my walls, hung up a mirror I needed help with, reinforced all my other pictures and hangings so they were secure, and made sure everything was to my liking. He even fixed my squeaking door on his way out! Brian was very efficient with his time and was very professional. He even brought his own booties so the house wouldn't get dirty! I would definitely recommend Brian and this company for any handyman needs. My money was well spent!

I was selling my home, and the potential buyer's home inspector said my breaker box needed to be replaced. Sean with The Local Electrician quoted me about 20% lower than other companies. I will be using them from now on.

I was referred fo them by family ! He had a great experience with a single electrician who came and got the job done ! I got sent a team of 3, the lead lied about how the outlet needs to go over the roof and gave an unrealistic fake situation to over charge us. Tried reaching out to the owner and help desk to hear various excuses ! Charging 1700$ for installing a Tesla wall plug which costs $400 is outrageous! They ended connecting using a 8ft cord but quoted us a 50 ft quote ! Will try this method and will be reaching out to Texas licensing authority in Austin !

Jolt installed a whole house generator for me. I paid for the generator upfront which was ~half of the cost, then the balance after install. Marilu took care of the administrative part dealing w/ permits & CenterPoint Energy. Vladimir handled the install. They both did a great job & made the process as painless as possible. They're also both very friendly & great about addressing any questions or comments I had.
