Our A/C went out in one part of our home (we have several heating and cooling systems.) This wasn't the first time, and it seemed like it would be appropriate to get a quote for a replacement. We had several comfort specialists out from various companies, and I learned more than I ever could have imagined about how these systems heat and cool your home!I really liked Tim Jones from Max Mechanical. No pressure, no hard sell, just a sincere willingness to work with us to find the correct system for our home. We initially tried to repair the problem, and they sent Richard out to diagnose. A repair was cost-prohibitive, but Richard was excellent. He took the time to look at our other system too, and confirmed what we already knew--old and tired. So we decided to replace the two systems simultaneously and just get it over with. We figure it is an investment in our future long-term comfort level.It was a long hot day in our house when they installed, but by the end of the day we were cooling again. The team, Alex, Javier, Jean and Jairo, hardly stopped working all day. They were courteous and professional and efficient! They said it could have been a two-day job, and I believe it.After we discovered one very minor problem later that night and called Max Mechanical, Jessica answered and scheduled us first thing in the morning. Our tech Alex came out first thing in the morning, diagnosed the problem very quickly and solved it. Ashley in the office provided me with excellent service over the phone regarding payment and follow up. When I had a question for Tim after the installation, he was happy to help. At that point it felt like I had met or talked to almost everyone in the company and that everyone would spring into action if I had any issues.We're really happy with how the house feels with these new more efficient quieter systems. We're very pleased with the service and guidance we were provided by every employee with which we communicated. We would highly recommend working with Max Mechanical for your current and future heating and cooling needs.

I first used Fischer & Boone when I had a pipe burst under my Fort Worth 1940 home back in August 2015. I was a new home owner, having just purchased the place in April. While some plumbers did suggest they could fix the old galvanized steel pipe, the writing on the wall was full replacement would be necessary.
Fischer & Boone were direct in saying what was needed to be done and the cost. While others night be able to patch things cheaper, that would put stress on the rest of the system and future issues may arise. It wasn't something I as a 24 year old new homeowner may have wanted, but the full replacement to PEX piping was what was needed for the then 85 year old home.

Since then, I have used Fischer & Boone for a water heater replacement in 2018 after
returning from a deployment, and most recently a leak fix at the water meter box where there was a small leak. They have always been quick in response, professional in their work, and reasonable and direct in their cost. They didn't try to direct me to perhaps additional unnecessary work, and I appreciated that as a then new homeowner and now a bit more seasoned one.

Miles came out and was very kind about answering all my dumb questions and then pointed out some issues that may come up if and when a new water heater would be needed which was exactly what I needed to know. Turns out the only issue I had was not igniting the pilot light correctly even after several tries and Miles did that for me and that was that. I fully understand each of these type reviews only relate to the visit you had at the time and can also depend on the person you deal with. Miles was the perfect professional and damn sure represented Ernie's Plumbing well. I'll be using them again.

Nov19,2020Daikin solutions are outstanding but can be hard to navigate their comprehensive portfolio especially when trying to figure out which pieces to combine. The versatility of Daikin is a compelling advantage in providing the right system for any environment but it is also the challenge in educating the average consumer on which one to use if they can get them over the hurdle of their relatively low market share in the US consumer household space. You need an expert to help you through this.This company is only one of two residential dealers in the local DFW area that I could find. My first encounter was great. Timely, professional and very knowledgeable. I am a local contractor looking for a solution for my own home so I'm more hands on and techy than your avg consumer. They spent time digging into my home design and the layout challenges it presents. They provided a couple options for me which I reviewed and then researched. This is where it starts falling apart. After the initial consult and quote, it has been very hard to get answers beyond the quote. Follow-up on actions promised by the company to provide were neglected. I've called the office several times which they assured me would be addressed ASAP. A week has gone by and I've now had to move my foam install date twice. The last of which has resulted in a nearly month out scheduling. This has put my schedule in a rough state trying to beat the winter. Simply put, if it weren't for the fact that Daikin dealers are so limited and they are indeed the better of the two around, I would have moved on to another. That being said, picking the lesser of two evils is never a good situation. I'm to the point of selecting Bosch systems even though the solution is weaker. In the end, HVAC is an expensive home solution which requires maintenance and support so picking a vendor who is responsive is just as important as the right brand if not more so. In this case, I'm inclined to pick the lesser product but better vendor.I've called today and voiced my frustration. I'm hopeful, it gets the right attention for my situation and other customers to follow.I'll update accordingly. Stay tuned.Update: 10DEC2020I'm speechless and gobsmacked at how this ordeal ended. As I left off above, the office did respond and jump right on my issue. We went though several iterations of errors on quotes again and lagging responses. In fairness I certainly asked more questions and research than likely any of their previous customers. They did put in a lot of time to get my questions answered. That being said, I felt horrible but we couldn't justify spending more money for a solution that was A-typical if we couldn't get timely responses nor accurate quotes so I advised them we were going to use another vendor. Nathan took the news gracefully but obviously disappointed but I told him we would try again on my next house I'm building in late 2021. Both he and I certainly learned a lot about Daikin's other solutions like VRV and the FIT so we're the better for the experience in the end. Nathan's attitude was very professional. Conner Jones however was shockingly rude. He somehow blamed me when I clearly told him the reasons they didn't get the job. His title is Finance Manager but he told me he was the GM when I asked to speak to his manager. He literally said even if I changed my mind he wouldn't do business with me. His tone was adolescent, angry and hung up. I felt horrible we couldn't give them the job but that is now changed to relief. While I have a hard time believing Connor represents Metro's leadership attitudes. I hope this finds its way to right eye's and ears. I'd put Conner back in the field and put Nathan in charge (if indeed Connor is GM as he claims). I'll continue one more push to the owner of Metro, Paul Adams.Fortunately, I've kept every correspondence and am happy to show the long trail of quote errors and limited knowledge depth they have of other Daikin solutions should this complaint be challenged.
