Best Water Leak Repair in Fresno CA

I have used Vern’s Plumbing, for several years now, for all of my plumbing and heating/cooling needs. I have always found them to be very honest in their dealings. They are always very quick to respond and they are pretty accurate when they estimate a time of arrival. I would highly recommend them.

Horrible experience! Before even working on the water heater, I was told that I needed a new one and it was going to cost me at least $600 to install. The reason for a new water heater? It was more than 10 years old. The thermal couple was replaced but they said that it would probably not fix the problem. They left the water heater off because they could not get it started. That evening, I smelled gas from the water heater so I called the gas company. The gas company came, noticed that the fittings were very loose and leaking plus they got the pilot on and the heater working! I got a second opinion from another plumbing company and they did not see a need for a new water heater since it wasn't leaking water. More importantly, their install (with modifications) was nowhere near the $600+ estimate from Pacific plumbing.

Dave is truly an honest and and competent craftsman. I would not think of calling anyone else for any Plumbing needs.

Chris is amazing. We bought a house with a known long-standing drainage and flooding problem, and found out how bad it was only two months into home ownership, when our sunken living room flooded. Several contractors estimated $20-$30K to rip out and replace the entire area drainage, without even knowing what or where the actual problem was. Chris spent over an hour with us explaining the most common problems, and providing substantial free expertise. He brought his equipment the next day and cleaned out our area drainage system, removing 30+ years of dirt, rocks, and roots. He also pinpointed the real problem: a redwood root that completely crushed the drain pipe. He even ran through our sewer pipe as a bonus and found where the original landscapers put a hole in the pipe to plant a bush that was slowly clogging it. Thanks to his camera diagnostics, we could see the problems clearly. We can make some of the fixes ourselves and are ultimately spending a few thousand, rather than replacing the entire system AND eventually having the sewer clog (yuck!). We will absolutely be hiring him to come back and do regular maintenance so our drainage doesn't get full of roots again. I highly recommend him - he has the tools and the expertise to find the problem areas so you aren't flying blind trying to fix things, and he is great at showing and explaining what happened so we can avoid repeating the mistakes the prior homeowner made. Was told that I'd get a free estimate, then plumber showed up and said that to get an accurate estimate, he'd have to put a camera and charge me $100. The city would have put the camera for free. Only reason I agreed is because he said he'd also snake the line. After I saw the size whole he made with the Lil bit that he used; it was not worth it at all. He had other sizes with him that he could have used. But then again, they do need to get the call back. Just don't promise a free estimate if it's not. Only got a star because it won't let me post without one!
