Wonderful experience with this company and the owner! My laundry room flooded when I was doing a load of laundry and water was simultaneously backing up into my kitchen sink. When I originally called to see if they could help me I was immediately put at ease by the phone call - James (the owner) answered all of my questions and was very kind and patient. When he came out to my house he was very nice and professional and fixed the issue easily! Well under an hour, and he had me run the washer while he was there just to be sure it was all draining properly again and to put my mind at ease. I’m so thankful! I’m also happy to find out they do general plumbing repairs/work too, so this will be my go-to company from now on! Yay! Highly recommend!

Chris is amazing. We bought a house with a known long-standing drainage and flooding problem, and found out how bad it was only two months into home ownership, when our sunken living room flooded. Several contractors estimated $20-$30K to rip out and replace the entire area drainage, without even knowing what or where the actual problem was. Chris spent over an hour with us explaining the most common problems, and providing substantial free expertise. He brought his equipment the next day and cleaned out our area drainage system, removing 30+ years of dirt, rocks, and roots. He also pinpointed the real problem: a redwood root that completely crushed the drain pipe. He even ran through our sewer pipe as a bonus and found where the original landscapers put a hole in the pipe to plant a bush that was slowly clogging it. Thanks to his camera diagnostics, we could see the problems clearly. We can make some of the fixes ourselves and are ultimately spending a few thousand, rather than replacing the entire system AND eventually having the sewer clog (yuck!). We will absolutely be hiring him to come back and do regular maintenance so our drainage doesn't get full of roots again. I highly recommend him - he has the tools and the expertise to find the problem areas so you aren't flying blind trying to fix things, and he is great at showing and explaining what happened so we can avoid repeating the mistakes the prior homeowner made. Great job reasonably price

The owner's son, Ron, came to the house to scope out our sewer line problem. Paid his fee of $249 at the time, he diagnosed the problem, quoted a price of $250 to take care of it and we scheduled an appointment for 10:00 on the morning of 1-7-20. Got a call that morning that their serviceman was running behind and to expect him around 12 noon. He arrived at 1:00 p.m. Then he proceeded to tell me that he did not bring the proper equipment and we rescheduled for 10:00 a.m. on the 9th. I received a call that morning at 9:15 to say that the service man was on his way over. Normally that would not be a problem but I was on my way to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription for my wife. Never made it, I turned around and came back home. This time I was presented an invoice for $175 more that the original quote. When I objected, the service man called the shop and then told me that he did not have the proper equipment with him to do the job. This was a scenario that the Three Stooges would have been proud of. I told him to go on to his next job and not bother coming back. I've found that communications among the management and employees at Vern's to be suspect, appointments with them are merely a suggestion and common courtesy non-existent. Ron, if you're reading this, when we first met I told you that our former plumber, one we had depended on for more than 10 years, and passed away in 2019 and that we were looking for a new service provider. At this point, you were replaced before you even began
