I was very impressed with the professionalism with each person I spoke to when I established an appointment time and call back time. Daniel, the plumber was friendly, informative and took his time explaining my plumbing issues and solutions with me. If I need assistance in the future, I will definitely request Daniel!

The receptionist never answer’s and say she’ll call back and never does
Schedule’s appointments wrong and makes you wait again for service, very upset I’ve been waiting for over a month and still waiting
And if they’re having problems and delays with staff they should let people know, not until they review poorly so they wait till they have staff and then respond to bad reviews because they obviously don’t help

From the moment I called in, their scheduler prioritized my issue by moving my original appointment up. By doing so, she made me feel as though my leaky bathroom faucet was equally as important to her. The technician was here within an hour of our phone call, and it was Christmas Eve. Once James arrived he immediately found the leak, and repaired it in less than 10 minutes tops!! This is hands-down the best Home Warranty experience I’ve ever had!! Thank you!!

City plumbing came out this week because my washing machine wasn’t draining. They walked in looked at the washer and said they needed to install a clean out. This is the second time my insurance sent them for plumbing issues that they could not fix. They said they needed to install another clean out under my sink. After a long week my insurance finally sent P&R Plumbing out I had a clean out under my sink and P & R fixed the stoppage. City plumbing told me they needed to install a clean out for my washing machine. I told them thank you and they left charging my insurance co and charging me 100.00 deductible. If you need a professional don’t call city plumbing. Call P & R Plumbing. I called them today they sent someone out he cleaned the drain at a cost of 90.00. Less than my insurance charges me. Great Job! P&R Plumbing.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! they left me with no hot water for two weeks continuing to say the part was on the way. Came to find out from American home shield they never ordered the part! BAD.

It's been about a week since they came out I need water heater replaced but the just keep telling me they'll call me back and they never do

Water heater was broken...No hot water and no heat for 1 week! Water heater is used to heat the home as well. Called my home warranty, they charged me 75 dollars and ended up denying my service call. Called City Plumbing and they squeezed me in the next day! Ramon came out, had the parts he needed, and fixed it in just a few short hours! My bill was way below what I was expecting to pay. What they did to help me was above and beyond what a normal company would do. I HIGHLY recommend City Plumbing for promptness, pricing, and willingness to help me out during this busy time of the year. Call City Plumbing for all your plumbing needs, you won't regret it!

I had a horrible experience with them... there seem to always be a delay in their service. Service tech was late.. also late to write a report. The last who answers the phone was sweet but seem to be confused about what’s going on .. my insurance was charged for service that wasn’t completed..
I went 3 weeks without warm water . I told my insurance to Never send them again. What a complete joke. The negative reports are very true about city plumbing.

The pilot light went out on our water heater and our warranty service dispatched City Plumbing to the service call. Dale from City Plumbing was our technician and he was polite and made sure to call ahead letting me know he was en route. Dale was very knowledgeable and took time to explain everything to me. I would definitely recommend him and I was very pleased with his service. If I have any plumbing issues in the future, I will definitely be asking for Dale from City Plumbing!

I met ROCKY with City Plumbing when he came out to fix my garbage disposal. Rocky was one of the nicest men I've ever met. He fixed my problem in about 30 minutes and now it works perfectly. He's one of the best plumbers I've ever met. He did a wonderful job by replacing my disposal and did it with a beautiful attitude. Thank you Rocky and City Plumbing. Don Hathaway

These guys are total scammers. I had a clogged toilet that backed up my main line. The plumber came out and said he couldn’t access the main line, told me I needed to dig up my backyard and put a T-joint in to access the main line for $2500.00 I called Valley Star Plumbing and they came out, very professional and friendly, diagnosed the exact same issue and cleared the main line in one hour for $175.00. Stay away from City Plumbing if you value your dollar. There really should be an opportunity to put a no star for companies like this.

Needed a plumber asap - City was there the same day, and had the problem completely resolved by the next afternoon. Very happy.

not sure about their service, because they NEVER came out to service my plumbing issues. I received a missed call from them and IMMEDIATELY called back. No answer. I get it, they're probably busy. I proceeded to call back 3 times of the course of a week, and left 2 messages. A week and half has passed and I still have received NO communication. Got in contact with American Home Shield, they said a woman named Hannah would call me. 4 days pass. Still no contact from the company. I finally got the okay to cancel this contractor. if you're looking up this company's reviews because they were dispatched to you through AHS, get in contact with customer service now. This contractor is NOT reliable at all. Save your time and go with someone else. This company deserves to be taken off their contractor list.

City plumbing gives excellent service and clearly explains what the problems are. They are prepared to fix the plumbing problem on the spot given there are extra parts that may have to be ordered. I would recommend their service anytime.

Had a plumber come out today provided by my home warranty company and they completed half the job. He did unclog our line but did not fix the leak under our sink because he said he couldn't diagnos since it was tooken apart. So I called the office and said my sink is still unusable they said ok let me call the technician and see what's going on and we'll give you a call back. Ok well a few hours pass and no call back so I call them and ask what happened. They told me the same thing they couldn't diagnos the problem because it was tooken apart mind you all the parts were there it was just a p trap. They are the experts in plumbing so who is is to diagnose the situation? This is why they were hired! Pure laziness!!!!

Pilot light wasn’t staying lit. Plumber didn’t say when he was leaving or what work was done. Pilot went out again next day. When I went to turn it back on manually, I found that the plumber had forcibly broken what I think is a thermocouple reset switch and left it hanging loose barely connected still. Not happy with this jerry rig type workmanship. Would not recommend.

Problem solved, first visit. Leaky fill valve in 1 toilet, toilet uncloged, sink leak fix, and clog removed.

Worst plumbing company. Unreliable and thieves. Owner nelson has an excuse for all his garbage Plumbers. Receptionist is the same, tells you one thing and never follows through. How insurance keep using this company is beyond me, NELSON NO NEED TO RESPOND, DONT NEED TO HEAR YOUR EXCUSES. YOUR A LIAR...

Horrible!!!! STAY AWAY! They don't turn in their reports so that insurance can get things done. We have been calling and emailing them and still no response from them!!!! IT'S BEEN A MONTH!!! Still waiting! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY TO AVOID A HEADACHE!!

Plumbing had to be done where digging was required to repair pipe, put camera down and marked partly on sidewalk + partly on street, quoted us $9500 for repair claiming a city permit was needed before digging on actual city street + our property etc, ended up repairing the pipe in a 4-5 hours (most of which was digging), did NOT have to touch the street where it was marked, just dug under grass, still wanted $9500 eventhough permit not required as street wasn’t touched, as a “courtesy” deducted 500 and ended up charging $9000 for several hours of work, customer representative Leah was very unprofessional, disrespectful tone, then backpedals when you match her energy, highly recommend AVOIDING this company, owner had a down to earth personality but price was ridiculously high, for something which wasn’t major work and not covered by home warranty or home insurance since it is not directly underneath the house. Pretty well known in the city and I’ll tell everyone I know to avoid doing business with this company, karma is a B though, what goes around comes around.

City Plumbing was assigned to me on 12/6/21 by my home warranty company. My issue was tagged as an emergency by my warranty company advising that the vendor would call to schedule. City plumbing came out on 12/9/21 and stated that warranty company will need to approve work to move forward. City Plumbing to call back once they hear back from warranty company. City Plumbing NEVER reached out to follow up. Warranty company approved work so I had to call City Plumbing to try to move forward.

GOOD LUCK trying to reach them. They never answer, they do not return your call if you leave a message. I had to just keep calling until somebody picked up. Once the call was answered, they put you on hold. I had a hold time of 45 minutes before my call was dropped.
There seems to be a lack of communication between the office staff and technicians. I spoke City Plumbing 4 times, different staff, each needing to “look further” into my situation and assuring me they would call me back. NO CALL BACK RECEIVED.

I was told that warranty only covered X amount and I would need to pay out of pocket to allow tech to gain access to plumbing (removal of sink and cabinets). I decided to pay somebody else to remove sink so City Plumbing could access plumbing issue. Next office staff said there was $0 out of pocket after I confirmed access would be available. Technician was FINALLY scheduled for 2/25/22 at 8am to fix my plumbing issue.

Morning of 2/25/22 no show at 8am. I called several times to find out if they were on route. Office staff called me back to confirm that sink was removed so tech could leave to perform work, I confirmed sink was removed. Office staff tried to collect $500 from me before sending tech out. I was furious, this was an ongoing conversation that took them forever to figure out. I was told was $0 out f pocket when tech was scheduled. Office staff stated that she had to call off tech from doing work. I requested an itemized invoice which office staff stated she would email before end of day, and she would give me a call back as well. NO CALL BACK of course.

I still have a plumbing issue and now no sink because of City Plumbing. As of 3/4/22, City Plumbing had not made an attempt to call me back or send me an invoice to show why they were charging me $500. I called my warranty company and filed an official complaint. A new vendor has been assigned.

I had my garbage disposal go out and was leaking terribly. My Home warranty booked me up with City plumbing. They were professional and friendly right from the start. Technician once he arrived was super friendly professional and efficient. Got the job done and I'm back up and running again. I would recommend this company.

Had them come out from AHS warranty, they so called found the leak in my slab. Older gentleman stated that it's most likely a galvanized pipe due to the age of the home which is non repairable quoted me 15k for the hot water line to be rerouted and 20k for both lines to be rerouted without even looking at the pipe They came to find the pipe and after over 10 hours and 3 holes in my foundation of my home they didn't find the pipe. They reported to my homewarranty multiple leaks reroute only my warranty declined and I hired my own person since it has been a month without water in my home and I was frustrated that company came out detects the leak and fixes the pipe for $95 and their detection was accurate!

They also over priced their rerouted which after reading many of these reviews I think they try to get over on the home warranties customers the company I hired which is well known and has amazing reviews quoted me 5k for hot and 7k for both if the pipe wasnt repairable.

City Plumbing has state of the art equipment to get the job done. The technician did his job and gave some feedback. David #2 was a nice gentleman.

Submitted a request with my home warrenty to get a leak fixed they called Nelson City Plumbinh out there and they told me I needed to repipe the entire home and insisted that I pay for it upfront. I told them submit it to my home warrenty. Sure enough they approved the request. This was back in March I continue to call Nelson city Plumping about the repipe and everytime they say they will get to it and just blow me off. We are now in Sept and still no work has been done. Worst Plumping company in Fresno.

Daniel and Chance were very professional and nice. Explained to us what was wrong and what needed to be fixed and replaced. They got the job done quickly. Great customer service. Definitely recommend!

If negative stars are possible I would give them a solid -12.. Owner told me to shut the hell up because I got upset his plumber left my house with water leaking when there was no leak prior to them showing up.. Instead of driving down the street to get the part Needed they want to order it and pay over 100$ more because they are billing my Home warranty Company. Meanwhile I still have No hot water, water is leaking and No fix in sight.. This place is an absolute joke. I wouldnt recommend them to an enemy..

They came out about 2-3 months ago to fix some leaks. Less than 30 days later the leak is still there. They are unprofessional. We were without use of our tub for two days. The customers are not priority. I recommend not using them.

Justin arrived on time, was very professional and knowledgeable. My sewer line needed replacement and we scheduled a day for the job. Justin and Sean arrived in the morning and worked hard all day and into the evening to get the job done. They used pipe burst technology to replace my sewer line from the house to the street. They were able to complete the installation with just about 6 feet of excavation, so my lawn was minimally impacted. By that evening, my sewage line was replaced! It couldn’t have been a better experience!

Very unprofessional. I had to use this company because my homeowners insurance assigned them to me. This company rarely answers the phone, doesn’t return phone calls and even when they answered- put me on hold for over 40 minutes and than over an hour and hung up twice without talking to me. Service was scheduled weeks in advanced and technician never showed up. Office representatives should be fired. It is no way to run business this way.

City Plumbing did replaced my garbage disposer through my home warranty insurance. After completion of job technician informed me about one year warranty on this item, we all know yes it was true in majority of the cases. My garbage disposer failed after 6 months ( in between I changed my warranty now) when I contacted city plumbing I was shocked they are saying now 90 days warranty only. I was trying to get hold of owner called three time but he never takes my call and never returned my call.
He always answer anybody writes comments on-line but he never ready to speak to me.
Warranty is given by OEM, on the disposer also it is mentioned one year warranty.
I NEVER TAKES 90 DAYS WARRANTY SERVICE PROVIDER IN FUTURE.

Your customer writes negative comment, it was good opportunity for your company to address that problem. Personally I don't know you and your company City Plumbing, why should I write negative comment. It was genuine mistake did by your staff correct them.

Just bought this house about a year ago started having issues with the hallway bathroom the contractor was able to come out and fix the issue

Worst plumbing company I have ever dealt with. Over 6 weeks of giving me the run around to get them to try fix a running toilet. They order the wrong parts, don't call back when they say they will, say they showed up and no one was home when they never showed up because I was home all day waiting for them. Have been late to every scheduled job at my house. Incompetent plumber doesn't know what he is doing. 4th visit and job still not done.

I had to replace a water line. It was done in a professional manner. The wall was corrected back which looks great.

Had to replace an old water heater. Home owners insurance dispatched City Plumbing for the job. The technician, Daniel, was on time, professional, friendly, and did a great job on the work overall. Would definitely call again but hoping not to have any reasons to :-)

Rocky was our technician and he was punctual and took care of business! We had a blockage in our system and Rocky came out and got it all taken care of

Came out and fixed only one of the two repairs needed.. Never called back to schedual an appointment to finish job.. Left leaking faucet in kitchen and no water access .. Water damage to my wood floors and cabinets.. Mildew stains and odor throughout. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. Anywhere but here!

Worse service , waste of my time

I spoke to Nelson at Citi Plumbing because I had no hot water in my home. I never realized how important hot water was. Nelson dispatched David, who was an excellent technician. David quickly and easily diagnosed a valve in my tankless water heater and it’s Pump.Hot water is now flowing in my home again, and I am very thankful to David, and to Nelson at City plumbing.

These are the worst plumbers in the area. STAY AWAY FROM CITY PLUMBING IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!!!! I had a work order that was created in JULY and I am STILL waiting on them to fix the issue- it is now October 6th. They came out to fix a leak in our kitchen faucet and the plumber said that the whole unit needed to be replaced, but he told my wife one thing, but none of it was true. There was a month of back and forth between them, me and my home warranty because of the miscommunication on their end- there were 3 different versions of the story from their end. At the end, I had to go through the manufacturer and am still waiting on the unit to come in. The only reason I am still waiting and using City Plumbing is because they are the ones contracted with my home warranty and I already paid for it, otherwise I would dump this joke of a company asap!

The professional showed up on time to fix the toilet, and completed the repair very quickly. I noticed a small leak after he was done and sitting in his truck. He came back in and fixed it in seconds. I would recommend City Plumbing to all my customers.

Our home warranty company sent City Plumbing to replace our old water heater with a tankless water heater. City Plumbing sent Daniel and he was a true professional. Very friendly and easy to talk to. I periodically checked on the progress and was very impressed with the way Daniel works. He was fast, informative and my wife was very please with how clean he left his work area. Not good have been waiting for my water heater to be fixed . Called city plumbing multiple times never could get a straight answer on when I was going to get my water heater fixed. . These people never returning calls back. Very poor customer service. Not professional at all. Excuses ever-time they are short staff. I get it.

My home warranty sent City Plumbing to my home to assess debris backfilling in my laundry room sink. They told my wife that they don't ever approve replacing pipes but would submit a request to flush the pipe. 2 weeks later I contacted the warranty company and they closed the claim because City Plumbing said there was nothing wrong. I had to resubmit the claim to get someone back out. Hopefully on the 2nd trip they can get this figured out.

The workers were very patient and got the job done.

Ramon was great, as well as the other two technicians. He explained in detail the problem I was having under the house and why. He also gave me a lesson on how home insurance and home warranty programs work. The job was done in one day. I will no longer use the other plumbing company, only City Plumbing. Money well spent, no more smell under my home and standing water. Thank you!

Pathetic, not even a call back... Yes another incompetent service from AHS... It sad that very few take pride in their service these days. My opinion, call someone else! I read your reply, you did not call back, nor did you attempt...if you respond to your calls for service as quickly as replies to negative reviews, I'd have to believe I wouldn't have had to write this review. So your response back is gibberish at best...perhaps better to apologize...ya think?

Rocky at City Plumbing did an outstanding job replacing a gas valve on my water heater. He was professional, friendly and shared helpful information throughout the repair!! Highly recommend City Plumbing!

I requested they put in a hot water heater due to a leak. They turned off the hot water and proceeded to wait a full month before gracing me with a date to install the hot water heater. I have called 5 times and asked to speak with a manager and have yet to receive a call back. The Bill was ridiculously high but I allowed them to rip me off because I needed hot water. Had I known I was going to get robbed snd get terrible service I would have gone elsewhere. I recommmend avoiding this company like the plague.

Went through our home warranty and they sent out City Plumbing. We were informed the plumber would be out between 3-6 PM and took time off work early to be present for the repair. Ramon showed up at 5:20 and even before inspecting anything, told my wife and I that our house is a older house so that means that the main line has a trap and he cannot clean out the trap unless we spend $1,000 to dig down and install a T. He then takes out a small auger which repeatedly stopped spinning as he would hit the clog. He brought it back up and told us that there were roots present and his small auger could not get it out. He refused to try using the auger again and stated in order to use his larger auger we needed to install the T pipe. He then went on to tell us that since there were roots, our warranty would not cover it and even with the $1,000 T install and larger auger clean out, without paying $11,000 for them to redo all our pipes, the issue will continue to reoccur. We had someone else come out about an hour later and using the same size small auger, was able to get the blockage cleared within 20 minutes. Turns out someone had flushed some flushable wipes and there were a few roots that it was caught in causing the blockage. The other plumber informed us of root killer that would help since the roots in the system were hairline roots. We will never recommend City Plumbing to any of our friends or relatives.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Their contractor came out for a very basic shower backup, told me that he would need more equipment and a second man to be able to do the job and left. I had to call another plumber (who was able to fix the problem in about 20 minutes by himself) to come fix it. Now they are trying to get me to pay the service fee for them coming out here and not doing anything. Terrible.

David, Was very professional went above the call of duty and most of ALL he was very kind.

Horrible horrible service. I recommend do NOT use. Took over 2 months to get here and change shower valves. And it was done incorrectly, when i called them to tell them i need then back over to fix the problem they failed to complete. They told me i had call insurance back and set up a new work order. Not only that, they had to shut off my water heater, and its been leaking since. I had called numerous times to get someone to fix what they broke, all they tell me is “ give me an hour and let me see what's going on ill call you back”
Its a run around with them and straight up joke.

Took them a week to come out just to look at my water heater and say I needed a new one. Said they would submit a report to my home warranty company only to take another week and it still hasn't been submitted. It wouldn't have been so bad if they would reach out or atleast respond to let you know what's going on.

Our home warranty paired us with this company. I was a bit apprehensive based on some of the reviews on here, but the experience was great all around. We submitted a claim that our garbage disposal was malfunctioning on Sunday, they called Monday, and set-up a 12-3 appt. window for Wednesday. Called 20 minutes before arriving and came within the window time. The guy assessed the issue, fixed it, noticed other issues and decided to replace the disposal completely. He was in and out within about a half hour and everything was covered under our home warranty.

Justin is the best!!!...he was all business very professional he doesn't waste any time...he gets the job done and fast...definitely recommend!

Not happy with the service. They are collaborators in bad faith with American Home Sheild. They took my money, spent 5 minutes in the house, gave me a Phone number to the manufacturer and said the manufacturer will probably take care of it. I believe they act with American home sheild to collect fees and not honor replacement products or installation. My sink leaks still. Out 75 for the service fee and out 70 a month with American home sheild. Very disappointed.

AHS made me use this company. They never answered or returned my phone calls when I called to set up an appointment for my water heater. I called AHS and they set up an appointment for Monday between 3 and 5. The company was a no show and they didn’t even call to reschedule!

The owner of City Plumbing (who of course did not give his name) tried to save face by rambling on about parts, protocol, policies etc. THIS WAS NEVER THE ISSUE.
As I said in my original review, they totally ghosted us. Never returned any of our numerous calls, texts or emails. All we wanted was for someone there to let us know the status of our repair. After the initial visit from their tech Jorge who said he didn’t have the part, we never heard from them again.
As for the owner personally following up with us directly, HE NEVER DID. No call, no text, no email. No surprise there. We ended up calling Fresno Plumbing and buying (out of pocket) a new water heater.
Shame on City Plumbing for shoddy business practices, and shame on American Home Shield for sending out such lousy contractors.

Our home warranty company American Home Shield sent them to us to diagnose and fix our water heater problem.... we had no hot water. The tech named Jorge came out on a Tuesday, told us he needed a part and would call back later that day, never heard from him again. Throughout the rest of the week we called, texted and emailed them numerous times and not once did they ever respond. They totally GHOSTED US. On Saturday I called AHS to complain and the rep there called City Plumbing and they answered.... still no part. A couple minutes later after hanging up with AHS I called City Plumbing and once again they wouldn't answer MY call. My husband tried calling again the following Monday and the gal actually picked up. She told him she had to check with the tech to find out the status of the part and she'd call him right back. NO ONE EVER CALLED HIM BACK. After bathing in cold water for over a week (it's January) and having no idea when we would actually have hot water again we decided to pay for the repairs out of pocket and we called Fresno Plumbing who had been referred to us. They were out the same day, and will be bringing our new water heater ($1700) to us on Thursday. It's worth the money to be rid of City Plumbing. If you want great service and someone who will answer the phone CALL FRESNO PLUMBING.

Unfortunately when dealing with a home warranty company, we have to follow their guidelines and replace faulty parts before choosing to replace a water heater. Trust me, we make more money if we replace your unit but that is not honest or following your home warranty guidelines. The new part was ordered from Bradford White with an ETA of 01/06/2021 for a new gas control valve.

We would have gladly sold you a new Bradford white water heater on a retail basis for less than you paid with city permit and haul away of your old unit included.

Too often, contractor and home warranty policy holders are limited in options due to policy guidelines, shipping delays and other common issues.

As for no call back, I will personally look into this issue as that should never happen.

We service 100 or more customers a day and use the latest scheduling and dispatch technology available including Dispatch.me, office wide call back notification and roll over answering.

I will personally follow up with you directly, once the issue is identified and corrected. No one should have to go without something as simple as a call back or as important as hot water.

Very professional, took care of problem with one trip. Definitely would use them again.

I would just like to Thank Justin for being so considerate, helpful and kind to me. As an 88 year old disabled lady you don't find too many like him nowadays. I was so pleased with not only his service but also his mannerisms and the fact that he took his time to make sure I understood what was going on, what the problem was and what he did to resolve the issue. I would reccomend Justin 100 percent.

These guys do not know what they are doing. AHS warranty sent them out. they came out the same day to look at my garbage disposal. the guy didn't even know a part broke off, he didn't care to check. then he says the caulking needs to be re-done when no calking is necessarily needed for this type of garbage disposal (whirlaway, so AHS decline the claim.) the disposal is leaking because it is broken. technician said he is not used to working with this type of disposal, doesn't know where to find it... it's cheap i agree... but totally misdiagnosed the problem because he is not aware of this type of unit. his solution was to put in a different type of garbage disposal and charge $325. what a scam. part of the problem too i think is ahs doesn't pay the plumbers enough to care about replacing garbage disposal units.. so they make every excuse to do no further work! they rather just leave and get paid for the service call. really unreliable by both ahs and this plumbing service.

Horrible service! We have been waiting 6 weeks for our part. The lady on the phone keeps giving us different stories. First it was the part not in then it’s we have to test the part. Finally got them to bring it last week only for the tech to call and say that they didn’t give him the part! Fought with them all day long yesterday they where supposed to call me back and never did. Still don’t have hot water!! They won’t even give us a supervisor number! Never use this company

Back for another review! They still haven’t fizzed our issues! Come to find out we have GAS LEAK in our pipelines! They finally came out last week and they knew they where coming to test the lines but instead the guy didn’t want to work!!! James?
Then we finally got a hold of them yesterday and they said it would be another week and after much fighting we got them to come out today. They tested to pipes only to tell me that it’s going to be 3200$ in repairs and they don’t even want to turn it into the warranty because they aren’t going to cover it. No sounds like city plumbing doesn’t want to work because I called my home warranty and they said they cover gas pipes! We are going 3 months without hot water! 3 months!!! Does city plumbing know how it feels to take cold showers? How about the fact that we can’t even cook because we had to turn our gas off because of the leak! This is ridiculous! And they aren’t in a hurry to do anything.

Our service tech was Daniel and rescued us with quickness. He was honest with the pricing and completed our leak from under our home. Called other places and their time frame was lengthy and City Plumbing was there with out a doubt quick. Thank you again

Wonderful company to work with!!! They did work on our rentals, re-piped our home, and installed tankless water heaters. Very professional and impeccable service, would highly recommend!!!

Corry is an excellent technician. Very courteous and informing. He got there when the dispatcher said he would. I will definitely use them again.

Use them through my home warranty. They came out said we needed a new toilet. Didn’t ask us which type of toilet we wanted just picked one on their own put it in my bathroom and it’s way too big. They asked me to send photos of the restroom showing the toilet which I did And to send photos of my old toilet which had been thrown out. So I had to take a photo of the toilet in my other restroom so they could compare and have yet to heard back this whole process started in February. I would avoid using them they don’t call back and one of their office girls is untruthful and tried to get me to pay out of pocket saying that the home warranty wouldn’t cover the replacement. That was a lie they never sent it in until I called and complained.

My home warranty company contacted City Plumbing when the first plumber they had sent the order to would not respond to calls or voicemail. City Plumbing called me almost immediately to give me a time window to come out that day to repair my water heater. The technician called me almost an hour before the time window even began, to let me know he was on his way to my house! He had it fixed within 20 minutes. I definitely recommend Ramon and City Plumbing!!!

Plumber was super disgusting. He tried unclogging toilet with a device and then placed that device on restroom carpets after using it inside toilet. He stained my carpets with waste, they had to be thrown away. Reached out to owner Nelson and no response. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Do yourself a favor and stay far away as possible from this company. It all starts with the girls at the front desk with their unpleasant and disrespectful manorism. They don’t always answer phones and when you leave a message, your call is never returned. The communication with in this company is as terrible as it could be. And when you try to speak with the owner, your out on hold long enough for the receptionist to explain the situation to owner, then she gets back on line to say that he has stepped out of the office and takes your name and number only for the owner to never get back to you. It truly is by far the worst experience anyone could ever have. They are not even deserving of the one star that I had to pick. Best of luck to y’all.

My Home Warranty company dispatched the job to replace a water heater in one of my duplex to City Plumbing . It is a standard hot water heater replacement job.

City Plumbing charged me for $750 for the non covered charges. The complete job of replacing the heater took about an hour. City Plumbing is gouging the home warranty customers. I have asked City Plumbing to send me a receipt with the job breakdown. As of today, I have not received any detail of the job performed.

Professional service at fair rates. Would use City Plumbing for any plumbing issue anytime. A+++

Tech Daniel did an excellent job, would have him back out in a heartbeat if something goes wrong!

I was having issues with my house flooding washing machine water/bath water out of my downstairs toilet. I contacted my home warranty and they sent out plumbers who came twice and were still unable to fix the problem. After going back and forth they sent City Plumbing out who were able to detect the problem within minutes. Unfortunately I had a root in my pipe causing the problem and it was not covered under my warranty, however, Justin the plumber was very informative and helpful so I chose to go through this company. He came out a week later and installed a new access point and clean out. I’ve been back at my house for about a week and everything is great. Justin was wonderful and very patient with all my questions. If any other problems should arise in the future I will be doing business with them again.

If I could give 0 Stars I would. This company is fraudulent, they were sent to our house by my home warranty company, for a covered repair. City Plumbing tried to charge me $1200 in uncovered cost. Price gouging with every line item billed, $200 for an $89 county permit, $345 for a $30 water heater stand, $175 for $20 eathquake straps. When I contacted Nelson Blakeman regarding negotiating charges or allowing me to purchase my own accessories from Home Depot due to what I thought was excessive charges he would not return my call or emails. Total charges for a standard 40 gal Water Heater is over $1800, even though I can purchase from Home Depot for less than $500. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT!

What a joke...was referred to this company by my home warranty for a possible water leak underneath my home. The tech came out and did everything possible (which wasn't much) to avoid going under the house to investigate. Finally he stepped down into the crawlspace, poked his head down and said it's coming from the master bathroom which is funny since he didnt bother to get down there and see...instead of fixing a leak he says the house needs to be replumbed and was going to cut me a deal for 10k...leak was detected (nowhere near the master bath) and fixed within 30 min by a much better company

Plumbing problems are never fun. We had only been in our house for a little over a month and the sewer began to back up. The Home Warranty sent out City Plumbing. I was so impressed with Daniel and his team. They worked hard to save us money and help us with replacing the sewer. The owner Nelson was very impressive too. I felt taken care of and informed through the entire process. Even though it was a huge unexpected expense Daniel worked hard into the night to make sure our plumbing was working before they went home. I highly recommend City Plumbing! If you are buying a house that's more than 10 years old I highly recommend you get a sewer inspection. The Home Warranty DOES NOT cover main drain replacements! Home inspectors don't inspect your sewer! So spend a few bucks up front to avoid thousands later! City Plumbing made the best out a bad situation. They are the best in Fresno!

The technician was very nice , was on time and explained what he was going to do after he examined my water heater. He did the work and called me out to see the part he replaced and how he had cleaved out the underside of the water heater He appeared very knowledgeable and stated it should work well now. I would welcome him back if I have another problem with it.

My home warranty contracted with City Plumbing to execute work orders for my water heater and other plumbing issues. I provided my home warranty company all the details to include water heater manufacturer and model information. They provided the same information to City Plumbing verified by a copy of the email AHS sent City Plumbing with service request. Once City plumbing received the work order they contacted me to set up an appointment. The receptionists was very rude and lacked professionalism. It seemed to bother her that I was asking basic questions about Covid-19 procedures, in stock parts and anything in general. She was not interested confirming the service request details. Even after I told her I just wanted to make sure they had everything the same as what AHS had provided. She said I did not need to tell her anything and the tech would know what needed to be accomplished (through magic I guess). Only to have the technician show up and tell me that the water heater was not on the service order. Words cannot describe the disappointment and frustration I felt. Even after I explained to him that I attempted to confirm the service request with his office and the young lady refused. We had been dealing with his issue for 2 days (no hot water). I called to speak to the owner according to the same receptionists he doesn't like to talk to customers and requested I email them instead. I left several messages for Nelson (owner) to call me. I doubt that he will. I called AHS and asked them to remove City Plumbing from there contracts and explained why. They appreciated the feedback and offered to send a new company. Save your money and time. Look at all the reviews this company is not someone you can trust with your plumbing needs. The receptionists is costing the company customers while the owner refuses to address the customers concerns. I hope this saves someone headache, time and money.

On the first time Corey showed up to take a look at my plugged bath tub he knew what needed to be done and although City Pluming had no sooner appointment besides a few days out when he did arrive to repair the clog he was in and out and got it done and the drainage is working great. Thank you.

SAL is the guy you want! He is very knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. He explained and educated us about everything that he did and what was going on. After having a plumber out twice from another company, with no success, Sal came in and took care of the problem.
After placing a service trade call through the home warranty, the secretary at City Plumbing called to schedule an appointment the very next day. The secretary was very nice.
We highly recommend City Plumbing for their fantasic customer services and knowledge!

Noticed the popcorn ceiling in our daughters room was ballooning out. Figured there was a pipe leak coming from our master bathroom above. Made a service request and after being assigned to City Plumbing I was nervous after reading the bad reviews. This was far from the truth for us. David was the assigned plumber from our home warranty. He arrived wearing a mask and appreciated that he took his health and ours seriously during this pandemic. He went to our bathroom and discovered several small issues that contributed to the leak. He was thorough and clear in his education and we are appreciative for it and the peace of mind he gave us.

Home warranty company forced me to use these people. Took a week to send someone out, they showed up, confirmed that my fill valve was broken, and then said they would reschedule an appointment for repair. For a $12 fill valve. Took them another week to schedule appointment. If you want to pay a plumber to tell you what you already know- that you have a plumbing problem- then call these incompetent people. If you want to get something repaired, go elsewhere.

Shamara at city plumbing is one of the most professional people I have had the pleasure of speaking with. My home warranty, First American home warranty, tried to screw me over, approved then cancelled my claim five times, without a call. When Shamara found out, she took matters into her own hands and took care of everything for me. When the technician Daniel came over, he was equally helpful, incredibly friendly and helped me trouble shoot water pressure issues I was having, which wasn’t part of the work order.

I used City plumbing because they are contractors for American Home Shield. I had a water heater issue. City came out and said it needed to be replaced. AHS were going to pay for new water heater and installation. They did say that there were some cost that AHS didn't cover. City wanted to charge me 900.00 above the installation. What a joke. They listed all sorts of stuff that I didn't need. They get low balled by AHS and the City tries to pass it on to the consumer. I ended up not using them. Can't be trusted.

Told me I needed a new water heater, paid over $600 out of pocket along with what my home warranty covered, and I STILL DO NOT HAVE HOT WATER FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES.

Technician said that it is normal to only have hot water for 5 minutes with a 40-gallon water heater..... LIE.

I have only had a 40-gallon water heater my entire life and have comfortably taken long showers I can enjoy and do my self-care and manage my personal needs.

When the technician refused to investigate other potential issues that may be causing this, the OWNER said it could be a bad water heater that THEY installed but it is NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILTY TO FIX IT.

They did not resolve the issue of not having hot water, charged me over $600 and yet, the owner has the AUDACITY to tell me it's not their responsibility to fix it.

Lazy. FRAUDULENT company. It is fraud to say I need a new water heater if they knew that would not fix the issue at hand. And then, to top it off, James and the Owner are refusing to do further investigating to solve the ACTUAL issue.

Still can't believe James, the technician refused to look into the hot water line or other potential causes for the water not staying hot. Soooo sooooo lazy. Or just inexperienced or incapable of determining the root of the problem.

Our home warranty, after 6 months, had to refer us to a different company to do the job City Plumbing refused to take seriously.

Looked up the new company and its a 4-star company. I am hopeful they can resolve it so my family can finally use the shower, comfortably.

I paid this company $1100 to replace a tankless water heater. They charged me $200 for a permit which they never pulled I called over five times to get my money back or permit and they won’t call me backvery dishonest company. Don’t use them!

Worst service I have ever paid for. Plumber 1 came out to service the water heater. Heating element was bad. He said they’d get the part ordered and call the next day. No one called. I called the office and they said the plumber had not reported what needed done. Called again the next day and was told the plumber called in sick. Once the part finally got ordered, it came in a day late. Plumber 2 came to install the heating element. Left before checking anything. Had no water running. Called the office again and they said they’d have him call back. Still never heard back from him. I had to go out myself to fix the issue. If I could give less than the 1 star I would. Save your money and find a different company.

Corey called to let me know that he was on his way and arrived within 15 minutes. He came to assess the issue with both of the restroom plumbing for the showers. My faucets would leak water even though the faucets where off. Cory was accurate, explained what was going on, and he repaired then quickly. He was kind, polite, and very professional. I had a leak in my plumbing that seemed like it was a leak coming from the floor. I was super worried that I had a slab leak, which I Dr. Googled and was afraid would cost me thousands. The plumber sent by my home warranty from city plumbing found the source, fixed it, and explained what happened. I am so grateful he was honest, polite, and helpful!

Slow, unorganized, unprofessional, rude

We have been waiting for months to have our tub fixed. The plumber came out, looked at a few things, said parts were needed, left and we never heard from him again. We called and left messages, finally reached someone, plumber came back out, said a part was needed, never heard from him. We call, leave messages, and never receive a call back. I finally spoke to Norman, who said he’s the owner, telling me he’d look into the problem and call me back the same day, still waiting for that return call days later. Do not hire this company to fix your plumbing issues as they almost always have their message machine on, never return calls, and our tub is still not working.

My insurance send this company to do a repair. 2 weeks went by and no response. I contact city plumbing and they did not know the reason for the delay. I then contacted my insurance and said they did not cover it due to lies from the plumber. Maybe he was upset that I did not want to pay until the service was done (I don't know) but I never dealt with someone so insisting to get money the same day. Long story short after reading this company's reviews something that I should have done before it seems this plumbing company is terrible and shady.

David was not onky on time he took the time to explain it all to me. I will most likely obly use this company/technician for all my plumbing issues in the future

George Lopez from City Plumbing is the man! He is honest, upfront, and tells you the situation regardless of gaining your business or not. I had a clogged drain line in my kitchen for weeks I failed to fix. He came in and got my line back up and running. I picked his brain for his professional option on my new house. He gave me the cold hard truth about my system, but it was good to know. My home warranty covered me, less my deductible, so the cost was excellent. I asked him for a follow up quote for more work, which he did. George is a great guy to talk to, shoot the breeze, and is very personable. I respect professional men like George. Because of his work ethic, honesty, and pleasant demeanor I will be calling City Plumbing again. FYI if you are going to buy a home call this guy out before you sign for the house. He can tell you what the plumbing system is missing and will need once you move in. Give these a shot.

What an amazing company! They will be my first go to for all my plumbing needs. The tech that came out replaced my 29 year old water heater neatly and professionally. They were prompt, courteous, and on time. Just amazing.

Home warranty customer here. I cant say enough on how great the service was from Patrick. He was awesome fixed both our plumbing issues. On time, quick and was very knowledgeable. City plumbing is lucky to have him.

This company is a joke have plumbers with very limited skills...not good at finding slab leaks made two pot holes inside my home and ran a air test twice and still couldn't find it the crew that was out here at my home was not much of use for anything but smoke cigarettes and walk around till the lift with out fixing jack very limited...as plumbing company goes

Rude abrupt does not conduct good business uncompromising unfriendly mistreats home warranty customers causes a lot of red tape and start over see on insurance claims closes requests prematurely.Said to be running scams because will quote higher prices for simple jobs more than usual looking for monies outside of insurance and home warranties claim as to still get cash out of service call or they will close a service call for missed appointments whether you have paid the service call fee or not and not service you unless you call to file new claim see others are not being specific. But I will give specific examples of mine and others interactions I know first has had experience with city plumbing

Used this company because they were referred by my home warranty (AHS). They had to come out 3 times to fix the same leaking bath faucet problem. On the 3rd time, the leak had gotten so bad, it was pouring into the apartment below. Finally just fixed the problem myself with help from family. Apparently, the plumber had used old parts to try and fix the problem - only making it worse. I should have listened to these other reviews. Stay away from City Plumbing!

Had a leak from the water meter to our house. Corey and his team spent 13 hours , digging up and fixing the leak. Then put the front lawn back together again. Very hard work

I was having a plumbing issue at my home and was unable to use the toilets in the house until someone showed up. My home warranty company dispatched City Plumbing and the tech that showed up was Daniel with City Plumbing. Daniel was fantastic. Extremely nice and friendly. He called first to let me know he was on his way and about 10 min. out. I let him know that I was leaving to meet him ASAP and he was very polite about not rushing and that he had no problem waiting a few min. When I arrived he was very professional and very courteous. He immediately go to work diagnosing the problem and was able to flush the line and clear whatever blockage I was having. He was patient with me in answering all of my questions and making sure that I understood what had happened and tips of what I should do moving forward. It was a wonderful experience with Daniel with City Plumbing. I highly recommend City Plumbing and Daniel with City Plumbing as a wonderful service tech. I will be calling them to come back out to help me further with any future issues I may have at my home. Thank you again Daniel and City Plumbing for the quick response and fitting me into the schedule and helping me with my plumbing problem.

I am so glad they did, my work was done quickly and professionally. “Dale” was very professional and actually listened to my concerns! He got the extreme pleasure to come to our home twice. Both time he was patient and I didn’t feel rushed, in fact he wanted to make sure I didn’t need anything else before he left.
When I need a plumber again, I will request City Plumbing to do the work. There are many company’s in the valley that can fix a leak, but
I immediately felt comfortable having Dale in my home.

Home warranty company sent City plumbing to address water leak in our house. First Tech said he was not physically able to to climb a ladder to access the attic to find the leak and would need to reschedule another tech later in the week. mean while we have no running water. Second tech arrives a day later and after accessing the attic fails to find the leak and again says a reschedule appointment is required. We canceled the resceduled visit, hired a certified plumber recommended by a friend who arrived promptly, found the leak with in 20 minutes and repaired it with in another 20 minutes. We will not be using City Plumbing again.

Thank you for the response, FYI the Plumber that fixed the leak did not cut or go through any sheetrock or walls to find or repair the leak. It was such an easy job that he only charged $100.

This was the worst experience I have ever gone thru with any contractor. The crew first game out in Dec.2021. The were to come back in two weeks, they never called. I called them after the new years and they were to come out in two weeks between 8 and noon. They showed up at 3:30 and said he didn't have the correct tools and left. I called again on a Monday, the secretary said she would call me back to reset another appointment, she never did. I would never recommend this company to any one.

City plumbing was called out by my AHS because 2 sinks weren't supplying much water due to faucet hot and cold knob internal parts were messed up.(have had this fixed in the past) after 30 days I finally got a service report from them saying that my water pressure was bad, the technician that came out had said it was the knows at the time and after a week I called back to see what was going on and Leah the receptionist didn't know anything and had to contact the tech, later told me they couldn't find the part and it was going to take time to look for. After bugging them to get the report we received it over 30 days of them coming out and just said it was due to mineral build up. Note the house has had a water system for years and the only problem is the 2 sinks. These guys don't know what they're doing. Stay away!!

I called a competitor that was available previous to City Plumbing, they told me I needed a complete new hot water heater and quoted me $2500. I was put in contact with Corey at City Plumbing, he fixed my hot water heater in 15 minutes. Thank you.

WOW, had an issue with out electric under the counter mini water heater, it failed after 10 years. 10/14 Called our home warranty company, they assigned City Plumbing, tech cam out to inspect, stated he needed authorization from warranty company. Called Warranty company after 4 days, they stated City never processed a diagnostic evaluation report. Called City, they stated they were waiting for the warranty company.

Called City 10/20, stated they were still waiting. Called the warranty 10/20 they stated they would cover the heater but, City was going to charge me an out of pocket expense modifications to install a heater drain pan, which already exists, a drain pan drain, which already exists, and a tank overflow drain, which already exists, all to the tune of 1300.00 dollars.

Called City again asked why the delay and the modification charges. They first stated that the heater was actually a horse trailer heater which it isn't, it's a Home Mini Water Heater. Then I asked what modifications are they insisting needed to be done? He stated the heater needed all the drains leading out of the house to be installed. Told him they are pre-existing so what is the delay? Then he stated that the warranty company is probablly looking for a replacement heater and they will ship it to them.

Called the warranty company, relayed the info I was givien. They stated City Plumbing is the one stating the modifications needed and no, they don't supply the contracting business with parts.

All in all, I can deal with a warranty company making sure the work being done is warranted. I can not deal with an establishment that flat out lies to a client and tries to charge an exorbitant amount of money to make unnecessary modifications especailly, ones that are pre-existing and was installed by a licensed contractor when our kitchen was remodeled.

I can not and will not reccomed City Plumbing in fact, I caution you when contacting an establishment that flat out lies to a potential customer. I consider this to be highly unethical and have requested the warranty company use a different contractor for my home.

Excellent company. Showed up on time Robert was very professional replaced the Garbage disposal in and out. Used company through Home Shield will use them again.

Terrible experience. I had to go through them because of AHS. It took them over a week to diagnose my gas leak to AHS, even though my gas was off the whole time. Time after time city plumbing held up moving forward. Finally got 2 guys to come out after 2 weeks and AHS cleared for the repairs on my gas lines. 2 guys were here 8 hours and still didn’t fix the gas lines . The whole time the owner kept telling me that my gas lines needed to be replaced and to pay 5000 out of pocket to him. Then kept lowering the price finally trying to get me to pay 1900. What he didn’t know was I had 2 other second opinions and both said the leaks only needed to repaired, the lines were good. The second plumber I hired fixed the problem for me by himself at 2 easy to reach places. City plumbing claimed they couldn’t find the leaks. I had my gas off for almost a month and the owner himself answered one of my 10 phone calls and would email me at his own convenience. This is one is the worst experiences I have ever went through either a company and advise anyone even AHS customers. Go somewhere else. Do not listen to the owners reply. They missed 2 easy to fix leaks and kept wanting me to pay out of pocket even though 2 other plumbers said system was good. He does not answer phone calls ever and does not help in a timely manner. Take your business elsewhere!!!!! PS look at yelp, similar reviews to mine.

I tend to be a very skeptical person when dealing with companies I don’t know. But I’m extremely pleased with both City Plumbing and the technician James. I had a problem with my disposal. Funny that you say that I refused the 1200 dollar repair when i continuously called for months saying that I would cover the 1200 as long as the 4500 was covered by the warranty company. I went as far as did a conference call with you and the warranty company to get this done and finished but you as a company failed and still tell lies to all saying i refused. I refused to pay the full amount without you submitting the request and once they approved you guys just ghosted me. I just called your office and you hung up on me. worst plumbing company in all of fresno county.

They came to assess the issue. That was over a week ago...no call back about the job.

Would not recommend this company. My home warranty sent them to me and I didn’t have a pleasant experience. They’re very unprofessional because they wouldn’t answer the phone for me unless I called them numerous times. I eventually had to block my number before calling just to talk to someone. The only reason I called them so much is because they didn’t show up to my first appointment and I have to take off of work for them to enter. I had a no show on the first appointment, the second appointment was more than an hour late, and the third appointment was successful but it took them about a month to fix one facet that took only 20 minutes to install. Danny was the plumber that helped me and he was really cool and professional. Maybe they’re understaffed but this company needs to work on their communication to their customers!!. They also quoted me over $800 to fix a stopped up bathroom sink which I got fixed for $85 by another plumber.

Technician arrived timely, was pleasant and performed repair efficiently, then cleaned up the work area. Will use this business in the future.

They were assigned by my home warranty company to come out and fix my water heater. They were supposed to contact me the next business day but they never did. I had to call them and see if they can do it sooner which they couldn't and I told them to keep me on the book and I was gonna call American home shield to see if I could get something sooner. Unfortunately I was not able to get a sooner appointment . American home shield confirmed that I still had an open ticket with city plumbing. I called back a few days later just to touch base about my appointment And I had to leave a voicemail. No one ever called me back or made any attempt of communication. So my appointment was for this morning between 8 and 12 and I call to see if I can get a more precise time and they don't even have me on their book!!! Yet it was still a confirmed appointment through AHS and no one canceled it AND they never contacted me after my detailed voicemail that was left 2 days prior to the appointment date. I initiated a complaint with AHS about them. Unprofessional. No communication. And sadly, the techs are probably great but the administration staff was not and I will not be using this company in the future.

Stay away from City plumbing.They are there to get your share of cost from insurance company.
The tech showed up late after calling them few times hooks all unprofessional and disoriented.
Shower was leaking and he send false report by stating this is our fault due to mishandling.I reopened the claim paid another deductible and the new plumbing company fixed it without any question.
I will be complaining to BBB too.

If you are referred to this company through AHS or another warranty company, request someone else. I came here with the intention of sharing my experience dealing with services provided by City Plumbing only to find numerous stories and experiences similar to mine. I wish I'd recorded the visit with the Tech who provided inaccurate information to as he verbally quoted $1000 for repair and then sent a completely different diagnostic when I refused to authorize without calling AHS. Between the BBB compliants and review sites you will get a feel for the level of respect and integrity of this company. No respect for customers. Do better!

The technician broke our cabinet he had the top half of his body in. He tried to pull himself up while under kitchen sink and broke our cabinet frame. 2 pieces of wood came down to the floor. He did not say a word until I asked him a few minutes later how he would repair the damage he caused and he reapondedsomebody would come back out from his company(City Plumbing) and we have yet to hear back and that was a couple months ago. The kid was even bad mouthing his own boss and saying the real money is in working for yourself! Anyways class act people! Beware of this company City Plumbing by American Home Shield!!!

Service, Timeliness, Technician] I was very pleased with the service provided by city plumbing. The technician was prompt and he cleared the pipes in my home quickly. I appreciated his explanation of what caused the problem to begin with.

UPDATE: Nelson contacted me the next day and informed me that he had dealt with Corey and insisted on making it right. Even offered to work with my work schedule so that I wouldn’t need to take time off. He got another plumber back out here as soon as he could to replace the water heater with the one I had requested. Patrick was great, very profesional, on time, and hardworking. He got the job done quick and got my hot water going in no time. The ladies in the office were very polite, great to work with and made it easy to schedule the replacement. It’s nice to see company owners that truly care about their customers experience and want to take care of them. My home warranty had city plumbing replace my water heater for me. Jorge was a great plumber, very professional and polite. He helped me understand what was going wrong with my water heater and my options as far as replacements. Nelson was also great, he helped me get my work approved through my home warranty who was taking forever. Only reason I rate 2 stars is because of Corey, the plumber who came to install the water heater after Jorge had diagnosed it. First he showed up one hour late, with the wrong water heater. I had requested a Bradford White self flushing water heater and he showed up with an American standard water heater. When I brought it up he proceeded to lie to me and tell me that water heaters do not flush themselves, that whoever told me that didn’t know what they were talking about. Once I showed him the exact model number of the water heater I requested, he changed his answer from water heaters like that don’t exist to to “oh yes, we have one, but it’s at the shop” and began talking trash on his coworker who had diagnosed my water heater and his company saying that “it’s not his fault because he wasn’t the one that diagnosed it”. he then started to tell me how bad the one he was installing was and how I should sell my house as soon as I could after installing that one. He said he could return the next day to install the bradford white I had requested. I told him no, To install the one he already had with him because I can’t afford to take more time off of work for another appointment. Overall, Corey was untrustworthy and unprofessional, but everyone else i dealt with was great.

James actually came early and fixed the problem with my toilet within 5 minutes. Great service!

Daniel, the plumber, took care of business by quickly and properly repairing my kitchen sink drain leak. He repaired the problem created by a previous plumber. Very satisfied with his and City Plumbing’s work!

I reached out so many times and it was just over a toilet leaking. To get basic repairs like a wax seal and kit your company had to come out multiple times and at the end of it all I still had issues. Your plumbers and secretary and home warranty do not work together. I wasted sooo many hours on the phone. The home warranty just needed clarification from your company which you failed to provide! We valued our time and ended up fixing the issue ourselves despite paying the service fee for subpar work.

The technician was courteous, knew what the problem was, and fixed it quickly.

These guys are great. Fidelity, my home warranty company, had them replace a water heater. Prompt, polite, professional. I was a little taken aback by some of the reviews at first but in talking with the guys and re-reading the reviews, a lot of them are negative toward the warranty company. The water heater was 36 years old, and yes I had to come out of pocket for some of the state mandated upgrades not covered by my warranty. That has nothing to do with City Plumbing. Still saved a chunk of money. Thanks, City.

I've been using City Plumbing for about 10 years now, I've always been very happy with their work, reasonably priced and great quality work. They've installed 2 tankless water heaters and 5 regular water heaters in all of my properties, I recommend them to all of my friends.

Came 30 mins later than the time frame they gave me. Very rude didn’t want to work. Told my warranty I broke my plumbing problem so they wouldn’t cover it. I had to go through someone else to fix my problem that was actually covered. I wish they had a negative star they don’t deserve one. The repair man Daniel told us we should go through them bc they are too expensive anyways wow.

Absolutely Super Service!

On a Friday evening at 5:30, my husband discovered that we had no hot water. Oh boy, this is great - I now get to use the new home warranty we purchased - on a weekend. I don't even know how to find the website, forgot my password I set up 6 weeks ago - argh! Finally put in the service request online with First American at 5:50, and City Plumbing was assigned to our call. They called Saturday morning at 9:30 to schedule the service appointment for later that day. Ramon arrived within the Noon to 3pm window. He was polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. He quickly found - and fixed - the issue that had caused the pilot light to go out: a burned-out thermocouple. The whole visit was less than a half hour, and we were back in hot water again! (In this case, that was a good thing!)

City plumbing has now completed a few jobs for me . One major and 2 minor repairs. Their technicians are knowledgeable, work quickly yet throughly and not to to mention friendly. There’s not anything too big or small for them to handle. Very pleased with their services all around!

My experience with your service was very good, the plumber was on time and did his work professionally and very polite.

I read the reviews prior to requesting service from American Home Shield and I should have asked to change companies to start. They were able to come out that day, which was great, but unfortunately that was the best part of their service. I spoke to the repair tech on his way out to the home, as I was not there, to explain the situation. I explained to him that I had replaced the entire pilot assembly, including the thermocouple and thermopile and that the problem was either the gas valve and temperature control assembly or possibly an issue with the supply itself. At that time the tech discovered I have a LP tank and not NG and he said that he doesn't know how to work on LP systems and may need to get someone else out. He still came out checked my tank (to see if I have LP in it I assume) and then checked my water heater. He was out my house for about 10 minutes and according to my wife and mother, was in a hurry to leave. I was surprised when I found out that he didn't remove the manifold door to check any issues. I called him and asked what he found out and told me that heard a large flame up (I again assume the burner igniting) and he had never seen that before (I am not making this up) and he would have to speak with manager. I called his office and the home warranty company to voice my concern with his initial diagnoses. I also told them that the part was in town locally and asked if they could purchase and install that day (still Friday). They said they would contact me later that day (it is Monday now and I have called 3x and American Home Shield has emailed and called with no response). I also tell City plumbing on that call and AHS that I will go get the part myself if that will help. Again no reply and we go through the weekend with no hot water. I call first thing Monday AM, no answer and I leave a message. I call AHS and they email again and include that the part is in town if needed. I get though finally at 1:30pm on Monday and am told they bought the part on Amazon (Amazon is not an authorized Bradford White dealer) and that the part would be in tomorrow and they would call me back with an appointment AFTER they receive it (they wouldn't set an appointment then). I can't wait until Wednesday. I asked the young lady who answers the phone, the same young lady that I told that the part was available in town on FRIDAY and where it was located, if they could get the part locally and fix the water heater. I was told that she would contact dispatch and the manager (the same reply I got on Friday and never heard back from anyone.) So now is a waiting game. I called AHS again to see if they can help. We will see what happens, but based on my experience, I would ask for a different vendor. (Side note: I understand that they may not have been able to fix it Friday due to authorization, but when the part is in town and communication with the customer is avoided and ignored it is hard to believe that they care about the customer.
UPDATE: Guess what...no call back on Monday either, yay!! ANOTHER night of no hot water for my 3 kids, my wife, and I!! We will see what tomorrow brings!!

Had them through my AHS insurance. Terrible service. No communication. No status update when they would return to fix the items requested or follow up. Just overall terrible company. Do not recommend and a lot of headache. The first technician came and was there and out in like 10 minutes. Said he needed to order parts. “Fixed” my toilet valve since it was continuously running but he left the water tank leaking and so the bathroom was soaked. Called next to have it fixed. Nothing. Called 2 days later and they said that technician was out and they could read the handwriting on the invoice. They said they will call back. Never did. Had to call again for movement.
Finally I had a call saying the parts came and they were scheduling a time to come on a Tuesday. Tuesday that just passed came and technician came only to fix 1 thing out of the 3 item I requested. I asked if he was going to do them and he said he only had one on his work order. Called City Plumbing after that conversation and they didn’t pick and I left a voicemail. I called about 4th within a 2 hour timeframe finally someone picked and I asked why the other work orders were not getting taken care of. (Technician already left at this point) she said she doesn’t know and that I would need to request from my insurance to have someone come again since they closed the order. I told her that there are 3 things on the request and two have not been addressed she stated she needed to wait for the invoice tomorrow. She was rude about it. I called AHS after that and they asked that they call me the next day ( which would be today) with update and communicate. Nothing. Already knew that would happen. It’s fine… enough people complain about them I’m sure business will not be so profitable. I mean I told my AHS to release them from the contract. Gives them a bad review. If I can give the no stars definitely would. Good luck but not really. It’s a business and if that’s how they handle business sucks. Will not use them again or recommend. If you’re using your insurance don’t use them. If your doing water heater through AHS there is another company. Because luckily when my water heater broke I was given another company and my goodness they were quick and efficient and AHS covers so DO NOT use this company.

This is the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with.

They promised to show up two days in a row, with me confirming MULTIPLE times. After the first day of no show, I called the office the next morning and they assure me they will be out and they didn't show the prior day because they are down a technician. Notice how no one apologized for wasting my time.

On day two, near the end of the window - I call again and they put me on hold to supposedly call the technician to make sure they were coming. They did not.

So, I call my Home Warranty and they told me that this scam of a company told them they came out and solved my issue.

The owner is clearly on here responding to some bad reviews, why are you okay with running a scam of a company? Why do you continually blame the customers on here for your poor business judgement and attitude?

Why do you even have this company if you're not going to run it like someone who wants business?

Retire, sell, close it down. Take your pick.

The toilet in one of my properties developed a leak in the water supply line and the water valve would not shut off to stem the leak. I contacted my home warranty insurance company (Fidelity) on a Thursday and they arranged for a plumbing company to come out and do the repair. By that Saturday, I was still waiting for a call back from the plumbing company and still hadn't heard from them by noon Tuesday (this, after I left a detailed phone message on Saturday) so I called Fidelity back and let them know I hadn't been contacted to set up an appointment date/time. Fidelity then arranged for another plumbing company to repair the toilet. However, when I arrived at the house on Wednesday morning I was met by a toilet whose small leak turned into a big one with water gushing out of the water supply line. I immediately called the second plumbing company Fidelity had dispatched for the repair and had to leave a message explaining the urgency of the situation. Two hours passed and no one called me back so I again called Fidelity as now the bathroom floor was flooded and water had seeped into the carpeted hall. To make a long story short, Fidelity contacted a third plumbing company, City Plumbing, and about three hours later Ramon and James came to my rescue. It took these gentlemen no more than 30 minutes to replace the water supply line, water turn off valve, and they even replaced the fill valve, flapper and tighten the loose flush handle. Before leaving the house Ramon explained the 60-day warranty provided with the service. Both Ramon and James were not only prompt in diagnosing and completing the toilet repair, they were professional and courteous the entire time. I would recommend City Plumbing to other homeowners and won't hesitate to use them again when needed.

They are a joke! I went through AHS home insurance and used them. Thank God I got a second opinion beforehand. I just knew off top the guy who came to look at my leak was so unprofessional. All he did was shine a flashlight behind my washer and then says wait for insurance to contact me.
The next day I get a email saying I need to pay $500.00 for a busted pipe. That was caused by myself. The owner..FYI..the pipe is in the wall... made no sense.. long story short. I went with someone else and got the issue resolved. ANd there was no busted pipe it was blockage...
