Remarkably good and honest. Here's one story that illustrates:

- We had raw sewage coming out of our basement drain - the result of some odd plumbing decisions made by a prior owner combined with a grey water system modern houses don't have (our house was built in the 1930s)

- Given the odd setup, the team initially tasked with our house decided to bring in Curry, the firm's owner, for additional perspective. On his first visit (the firm's second), he outlined a fairly extensive (and expensive!) rerouting of the plumbing. We readily agreed to that.

- But Curry acknowledged that he wasn't sure - and asked if he could return again with additional equipment before we moved forward. Of course, we agreed. On his return, Curry was able to identify the odd but generally workable setup that had caused the original problem and confirm that so long as a key pipe that had become blocked up is properly maintained, the multi-day plumbing exercise we'd been braced for was not needed.

The gentleman Dalton Bass came over and was very nice and friendly and professional. He came over and did his job really quick and gave a fair price. Definitely will be using this company again. Thank you Dalton !! Great worker !!

It was great; fast friendly service that fixed all our plumbing issues. Couldn't have had an easier and more pleasant experience.

I was about to give a 5-star review for coming same day to fix my sewer main and complete the job within 1 hour.

Then they charged me for 15 min of driving (ok, fine), 20 min of casual tool cleaning (really?), and 15 MIN FOR WRITING UP THE BILL! Yes, they charged me for the time it took to calculate and type up the total—ridiculous!

UPDATE RESPONSE: Jamie and the technician were courteous and helpful, and I appreciated the same-day service. I also I agree people should get paid; no one is disputing that.

But I just can’t stomach being charged $125/hr to write up my bill. I just spoke with another plumber who said he doesn’t charge for cleaning tools or writing up the bill and that it is not industry practice.

Can’t believe the world’s come to this, but now I know to ask whether a service contractor will charge me to calculate how much to charge me.

I recently relocated to Raleigh and had some work done on the house that required the carpenters to remove the toilet to lay down a wood floor. It was obvious that the wax seal had deteriorated and needed to be replaced. I researched plumbers on YELP and found that CK Plumbing had excellent reviews. I called to make an appointment and everyone I dealt with was helpful and friendly. Sean and his coworker showed up at my house on schedule, re-placed the wax ring and re-seated the toilet. The charge was what was quoted. I won't hesitate to call them again for more work, or when I redo my bathroom.

Eddie is a scam artist don't use him . Called Eddie gave me price of 100 dollars to come to the house I said ok . He came to the house and was done in two and a half hours emailed me a bill of 1255.00 of work I did not ask him to do. Horrible customer service and a total rip off . If I could give no stars I would .

Roto-rooter did a fantastic job on a leaking toilet that I had on the Fourth of July. Nyshiem was a knowledgable and personable individual. He took the time to walk me through our options and broke down the cost for each option. He got the job done efficiently and effectively.

I have used PK Plumbing twice now, and have been very impressed with their skill, service, and attention to detail. I used them first for an emergency issue, which they responded to promptly and stayed into the evening to resolve for me. I then used them for a larger more intensive plumbing pipe project--their quote was competitive, they scheduled it quickly, and despite the challenging nature of the outdoor project, they made it completely painless for me. Edwin is a great communicator, has the advanced equipment to handle even the toughest jobs, and just plain knows his stuff! Will be relying on him in the future for sure.

Bb plumbing was on-time, courteous, and knowledgeable. Seth was thorough, and took me through each issue I had in a simplistic way to ensure I understood what was going on, and more importantly, what his recommendation was & why. I will be calling Bb again when it's time for a plumber.

Carl did a great job explaining the process he was using. He got the downspout cleared and was very efficient and polite the whole time.

They fixed a recurring leak problem that 3 other plumbers weren't able to diagnose. Good job to Jordan Plumbing and thanks so much!

When we were moving into our house and setting up our laundry room I noticed the hot water was leaking where the hose connected to the wall. Called Waite and they came out the same day which was awesome. The guy came in changed the spouts and was on his way, quick response, top notch service and reasonable prices.

This is the second time we've dealt with Durham Plumbing Services. Both times they've been very respectful of our home and did their best to get things fixed right with minimum disruption. I really appreciate the professionalism and the level of customer service they provide. I would readily recommend them to a friend, without hesitation!

Brown Brothers installed a wax ring for my toilet with a very quick response time. Appreciated the sense of urgency and expertise.

Dp&m was the company assigned through my home warranty company. May be an ok company for unclogging toilets, but anything beyond running a snake down the drain, I advise anyone using this company to watch the result of snaking the drain, as they will not bring anything to your attention, and will claim you need something beyond their ability, like a camera. You'll find out they (Elaine) says they assume finding something in you line, because they cant fix the issue, thus voiding the warranty company from fixing or addressing the problem further. I did not feel valued as a customer, and will never use or recommend this company. Elaine was rude, argumentative and unhelpful, just responds with this isn't our first rodeo.

There was no evidence of any blockage from the line that was run, I did not sign any report, and still have a blocked drain. Thanks for nothing, both the technician and Elaine.
