If you value your money, don't use this business.We had a water heater installed in our attic to replace the old one. We were charged $4593.95. That is about 4x the cost of an average water heater install in Raleigh, NC ($1356 according to Angi).I can in no way justify that price. They charged almost $600 to plug in a flood detecter into an outlet ($50 on amazon), and $700 for a mixing valve. I feel absolutely gutted and disgusted that we spent that much. Were first time home owners and maybe they took advantage of our lack of experience. We asked the company to reimburse to match the market price and they only returned about $500, so we still paid over $4000...still about $2500 more than market price.We were hoping the BBB would aide us in getting some reimbursement from the company.UPDATE: We have been contacted by the company several times in an attempt to resolve this. They even came out to check on some concerns we had addressed. Although I still feel we paid too much, I will say the company does have people in it who really seem to care about their customers and their employees. It seems they may be making some adjustments in the future with their flat rates according to what services the customer needs. For that reason I'll move from a 1 star to a 3 star.

During a time when customer service is at an all time low, due to worker shortages and increased demand, it's incredibly refreshing to call a business, have the owner answer the phone and and have same-day availability! Mr. William arrived within an hour of my call to fix my HVAC system that was not blowing hot or cold air. He asked if I wanted to watch him repair the unit and I enthusiastically said yes! Not many people take the time to walk you through through every step of the diagnostic tests. Once he pinpointed the issues (a safety feature that cut the system off and some faulty repairs from a previous HVAC company), I was quoted a price to repair, I signed off on the work and and my unit was back to operational within the hour. The whole process was informative, transparent and easy. Then I found out he not only repairs HVAC, but also plumbing and electrical. Last but not least, I love to support locally owned and operated, Black businesses. This was an all-around great experience and I will be calling again.

We are very pleased with the quality of work as well as the promptness of service from the time of the estimate til the work was completed. Will definitely call again if needed.

Bobby Bailey has rescued us twice during plumbing emergencies - once in 2004 and today in 2016. He is thorough, priced fairly, responsive, and a very calm presence. His staff was outstanding, also: when I called after hours, Jamela, his scheduler, was unable to find an available truck, but took my number and called me back after 10pm having contacted a service manager who was not on call. I would highly recommend Bailey's for routine and emergency plumbing jobs.

We have used JD Service now for both our HVAC and plumbing. We are moving out of state and wanted to leave our review for them (no incentives from the business were offered for our reviews anyways). Always prompt response and scheduling at a good value. They are up-front and honest about the cost of their service and have always given us multiple options so we can choose the best option. No pressure from their technicians or service experts to purchase a more expensive item or quote. The experts do a good job at explaining why something may need repairs now, or what they would recommend to prevent damage in the future (with again, no intense pressure to buy preventative items). Their experts are mindful of your time and the situation. They have always been respectful of our home and property. Would reccomend to anyone who needs quality hvac or plumbing service done quickly. We've used their services for a few years and would continue to do so if we remained in the region. Excellent work and thank you!
