Best Plumbing Maintenance in Durham NC

Had noticed a water mark on the wood threshold leading to our master bathroom, next to the tiled shower. Checked underneath the shower and inside it and couldn't figure out its source.

Sim came out and tested several possible sources of the leak and found it to be coming from a (manufacturers') hole in the aluminum shower threshold by the hinge. Thankful to learn the source of the problem so we can fix it!!!

The American Home Shield assigned a plumbing technician Nick Pleasants come to my home and suppose to repair the Toilet and the upstairs two shower tubs cartridge, garbage disposal, and the master bath aerator. I have requested the After Hours Plumbing and Pump company to wear the shoe protective cover before walk into my home. The plumbing technician his name is Nick Pleasants did wear the protective shoe cover when he left his service truck and walk through the dirty driveway and the dirty garage floor and try to walk into my home with the white carpet. I give him the clean paper towel to clean the bottom of his protective shoe cover and he don’t like it. When he walk into my home and look at the Toilet and the upstairs two shower tubs, garbage disposal, and the master bath aerator and refuse to repair any of the above items and make the un-professional judgement to report to American Home Shield that all of my claim is not covered by American Home Shield Home Warranty Nick provided un-professional and non experience judgement and not listen to the home owner explaining the problems and refuse to repair and said they are existing condition and refuse to repair. I purchased the home repair insurance over one month ago and if something not working that according to the American Home Shields should be cover by the home repair warranty. Nick Pleasants not doing his job and not perform any repair and not following the customer instruction to wear the protective shoe cover before step inside the customer home and provided the faulty information to American Home Shield and not performing any service repairs. I will stronger not recommend Nick Pleasants from After Hours Plumbing and Pump company to provide any plumbing services to any Home Owners.

Rob called en route (right on time!) and was a pleasure to work with. He spent some time investigating, addressed the exact issue and when I shared I was a new homeowner, he encouraged me to learn alongside him so I was more informed about how the different pieces worked and some tips for the future. By far the best plumbing/service technician I have ever met. He was extremely knowledgeable regarding a variety of processes in my home--from water quality and filtration, pressure, water softener and reverse-osmosis unit. Fixed my issue quickly and then took the time to review and offer options for additional problems/changes I requested. Also, the company was very responsive when I called for an appointment and made sure to send out someone who specializes in the area of my concern. I received multiple notifications letting me know the status of the technician's arrival time and he was prompt--thank you! Very fairly priced and a great value. I highly recommend this company!

One of the worst companies I had to deal with. my installation job was given to them by Lowes, the guy that was supposed to install my stove was rude, they treat customers with suspicion, rude. I doubt the installer even knows NC code.

The tech came in and got to work. Thinking he was going to do a great job the way he moved. I told him when I had a leak years back it was an issue with a switch. He said something wasn't sealed right and he stated he corrected it. About to leave I saw it was still leaking and he used a wet vac so I was thinking it should stop but he said give it two days. Really two days to stop leaking after you used a wet vac. I said ok and this morning got up and it's leaking worse than it was. Coming out my smoke detector and I know that's a hazard.Update after 2nd techAfter the first tech came out it was worse the 2nd tech sounded like he knew more and stayed longer working hard. He lef and now it’s even worse and now leaking in more places. I keep saying it’s not draining outside and it’s still not. I don’t know much about how this work but I know water should go outside some kind of way and it’s not. Fixing the issue with this company is making it worse.

Dalton removed my water heater tank and installed a tankless unit. He and his team were fast, thorough, and courteous throughout. I appreciate how they took the time to explain everything to me, and invited me to reach out to them afterwards with questions I might have down the line. I'll definitely be reaching out to Bar D with future plumbing needs.

They replaced the water main (meter to house).

Super response to my initial request for quote and were out the same afternoon. They explained all that would be done. I got a detailed estimate with full listing of all the steps and work within a couple of hours of the visit.

They were here the next morning to begin work. After locating a drainage culvert and underground utilities they got to work. To locate the sewer line, they used a camera system. They let me know they did not see any issues with the line from my house to the utility's connection point. (An unexpected report and well appreciated.)

Both men answered all my questions. They finished the work, did an excellent job of back filling and cleaning up the debris. The amount of time estimated for the work was 1/2 of a day and finished within that time frame.

I knew replacing a water main is expensive. Based on another quote I had received, Out the Door Plumbing pricing was reasonable for the amount of work done. At all times they were professional and friendly. They had all the supplies and tools necessary (including gravel to do a temporary fix to the driveway).

I highly recommend Out the Door Plumbing for your water and sewer line works. They deserve the 5-star rating and all the check boxes above.

Bernie did an excellent job with several small jobs I needed done. The jobs included replace ceiling fan, replace smoke detector, seal storage room walls, repair storage room door that was sticking, repair floor transition, move shower curtain rod higher, replace insulation on front door and fix front door leaning to side. I received a detailed quote within two days of the consult visit. The quote was reasonable and included all supplies. Communication was excellent during the job. Bernie offered advice regarding the jobs that I really appreciated. I am recommending Bernie to my neighbors and will use him again.

Devlin Plumbing came to fix our tankless hot water heater. They promptly responded to our call about the issue and provided us timely, friendly service all for a fair price. Will definitely use them again.

I had this company give me a couple of estimates and ultimately had them do some work on my water treatment system. On the plus side, one of the plumbers and the office personnel were initially friendly, helpful, and responsive. On the other hand, the prices were at the high end. And now the reason for the poor rating... I couldn't get enough pressure from my well. They suggested a unique solution that apparently worked for someone else. I went with it for $600. Didn't fix the problem. Ultimately I got another company to come in and they explained why this solution would not work at all. The valve and very small tank they installed kept cycling my well pump on and off every time any amount of water was drawn. I provided detailed feedback in a polite lengthy email to the company. I primarily wanted them to avoid doing this for someone else. I also did ask for them to consider some type of refund. I followed up with emails and calls and never got a reply. Eventually I gave up. Even with no refund, a thanks for the feedback would have gone a long way. I do not recommend.
