We used to call them when we lived in Chapel Hill and I wish I could teleport them to Charlotte! 😭 Absolutely reliable, only ever met Ryan and talked to Tim on the phone. never ever BS'd us at all, didn't waste our time, gave helpful information first about if a job was easy enough for us to do ourselves and then *asking* if we still wanted him to do it, just totally respectful of their clients.

Called them for second opinion on a potential safety hazard involving our water heater because we haven't found a place we can trust yet in Charlotte, and they took the time to examine some photographs and asked penetrating questions to make sure they werent missing anything, just to help my partner and I make sure we weren't about to get unnecessary work done. Lifesavers, and I mean this in the literal sense because a gas water heater with problems can *kill you*

My friend referred me to this company after having a stoppage in my kitchen and laundry. I called the receptionist and she told me everyone was dispatched, but she would try to accommodate me. They came to my house the same day and swap all the pipes in my house. Also found out that the main line was cracked. Plumber ask for my permission to change the main line. Also switch the P trap and the lines behind my washing machine. I am very satisfied with the quality of work and the price. I will definitely reach out to them for any plumbing issues. Chris was great when I came home from vacation to a leaking pipe. He came out right away to help stop the leak and communicated well about coming back to fix the leak. I would recommend Chapman Plumbing to anyone who is looking for a quality plumber!

Backflow Testing

My outside hose was stuck and I tried to remove it, but it didn't matter how careful I was, I still broke the copper pipe. I was able to book them the next day, they were professional and reasonably priced. Will definitely use their services again.

We had cabinet damage where a water heater leaked. Ed K. was the technician to come and do repairs. He did an amazing job and the cabinet looks better than the original. Ed was very polite and professional. We will certainly use Mr. Handyman again.

Wallace was out here the same day when we had a pipe break in our crawl space. He was direct and honest in addressing what should be fixed and the costs of doing so. He was very knowledgeable and the finished work looks great.

Had a toilet that I couldn't get the bolts loose and it was running constantly. The plumber came on time and was great about identifying why the toilet was running. Replaced the apparatus in the tank and got it all fixed and ready in no time. Great job! I'll call them again.

Logan was referred to me by a friend who has used his services. I had a broken Bib Hose and Logan was able to make it to my house within a few days. Showed up on time, did a great job and was quick! I have him coming back for additional work and look forward to referring him going forward.

Steve has been to my house twice and has been incredibly professional, kind, and clean both times. The first time, there was a leaking bathtub in my 2nd floor bathroom and although he had to cut the ceiling in the living room, he identified the problem and fixed it quickly and cleanly. He came the second time to my house to address a non-working kitchen sink garbage disposal and did it on the day I was moving! I couldn't have been more grateful for his services that day!

They installed a new HVAC in 2018 and did an adequate job. Today they came out to diagnose an issue with the air handler blower motor not running properly. It was still under warranty according to the quote I signed which had a five-year parts warranty on the inside air handler and ten-years on the outside condenser. The technician was very professional and friendly. He determined the capacitor for the blower motor was weak and needed to be replaced. He quoted a warranty replacement price of $226, which was for labor basically. The capacitor itself probably costs around $15 so they are charging over $200 for five minutes' worth of labor to unplug the old capacitor and plug a new one back in. That's in addition to the $89 service call, which he said covers testing of the unit, although he admitted it wouldn't be worth testing the outside condenser and refrigerant levels since the fan was not operating properly on the inside. I understand they are in business to make money but charging such an outrageous price for a simple repair for a customer who has spent money with them on a new system before is unacceptable. I will know who NOT to call for any future HVAC business and I recommend you stay away from them as well.
