Best Main Drain in Anchorage AK

The team was knowledgeable and quickly found the issue with my water heater. They were awesome about working with my schedule to set up a time to come out as well. Will definitely use them if I have any future plumbing or heating issues.

Saturday morning I hear water running in the laundry room but no equipment running. I open the door to see the concrete floor covered in about a half inch of liquid. Judging from the food particles washing around I quickly deduct that the liquid is coming from the kitchen drain one floor above. I gave a quick shout out to my Mrs to stop whatever is draining. As I near the source I see that it's actually the laundry stand/drain pipe that is overflowing with kitchen waste.I grab the 16-gallon wet/dry vac and begin cleaning up the wet mess. I disconnect the clothes drier and haul it into the attached garage to make room for whatever repairs I'll need to make. I disconnect the clothes washer and slide it into a corner. Proudly I go to the garage and retrieve the Ridgid brand power snake/auger and a cordless drill. I got this! After running the small 1/4 line into the drain for the full 20 feet, I was surprised I hadn't hit any blockage although it was more difficult to remove the drain snake than to put it in. My victory dance was to flush the pipe with water from a garden hose... to my surprise, it filled and overflowed very quickly.Plan B. I used the wet/dry vac to remove the water from the stand pipe and held it in place for a few minutes, until no water was being removed. Then I placed the hose on the exhaust port of the vac and blew air into the pipe, thinking if I can pull the clog, I'll push it. Again, my victory dance was to flush the pipe with water from a garden hose... to my dismay, it again filled rather quickly.(A man with tools and no knowledge is dangerous and a man with knowledge and no tools is helpless.) I fall some place in between.Plan C. Swallowed ego, balanced the checkbook and began looking for plumbers. I contacted RotoRooter at approximately 2pm (it's Saturday) and told the lady my situation. She said she'd have her uncle call me. At 5pm I called RotoRooter again and reminded her. While I was waiting at my computer for a return call, I happen to read some reviews on the local company, I was none to impressed. I decided to look for an alternative. I contacted a plumber with Anchorage Plumbing and Heating after reading some good reviews. He explained that larger drains are a different type of plumbing shop and recommended Drain Masters.I contacted Drain Masters and was greeted by a pleasant lady who took my information and offered the option to have her tech come out after he finishes the job he was on or would I prefer to schedule an appointment. We elected to ask him to come out today, Saturday. Approximately 45 minutes later I received a call from the Tech, Steve, who said he was 15 minutes out.Steve arrived with tools and a great attitude. I told him I was going to ask him How's it going? But then I realized it was almost 9PM. He chuckled and asked, How can I help you? I took him to the laundry room and explained plans A and B with the failed victory dances. I told him I'm at his beckon call, whatever he needs, I'll get or do it for him. He explained he'd start with the auger and go from there. I got out of the way. I stopped about 20 minutes later and it had apparently cleared the drain and was snaking the floor drain Just in case. I told him that was good because both that floor drain and the garage floor drain were both very slow draining.When Steve had finished the floor drain in the laundry room he tested both that and the stand pipe, both worked well. Then, unexpectedly he moved to the garage floor drain. 10 minutes later he has that drain working better than it has in 10 years.Steve's attitude and work ethic reflect very, very well on Drain Masters. He has learned the fine art of a true service provider. He Under Promised and Over Delivered! (read that again). To top it all off, when Steve returned with the bill/invoice he had included the military discount without question. If the rest of Drain Masters technicians are as professional and service orientated as this man, there should be no hesitation by anyone to call them when needed.

Roy was on time and very professional. Was available same day which was wonderful and lucky. He made mounting tvs look easy peasy. In and out in a little over an hour for a 55 and 65 tv. Definitely will hire for future needs.

I had called Jacob at Sound Mechanical because I heard water dripping underneath the floor in my kitchen in the crawl space. I made the call around 7am and explained over the phone what I heard and was concerned that a pipe had burst or sprung a leak. Jacob responded that they had a full day of scheduled appointments but would send someone over as soon as they had met the needs of there previously scheduled appointments.He mentioned I would receive a call from one of the employees as soon as they became free. I went to my office and was Pleasantly surprised with a call around the noon hour. The said they could be at my house within a half hour. I went home and the plumber was there 10 minutes earlier than expected. I explained what was happening and showed where the crawl space access was. Within 30 minutes the plumber was completely done and the leak was found and repaired with explanation of what he had found. Problem solved! I have refereed Sound plumbing to multiple friends prior to this repair that I personally needed. All of them praised and thanked me for referring Sound plumbing to them and said they will be using them for all there plumbing needs! We are all happy satisfied customers. This guy rocks. He came out within a couple hours of me calling and was able to squeeze me in. He educated me along the process and was super efficient, professional, and communicative. We added a check valve to my sump pump and got everything working again. He knows what he’s doing for sure. I’ll go to him every time I have sewer or drain issues moving forward.

Very happy with the service from Burton Repair. First call was to replace a toilet and valve. We liked the work so much, we called back for repair of both garage doors. I was surprised at the variety of problems they repair.

I called on Sunday evening about a clog and told them it wasn’t an emergency and was okay with waiting until Monday. I had to work Monday afternoon, though, so first thing would be ideal.

Awesome company! Very responsive. All of my questions were answered and any concerns addressed. They removed a window and replaced it with a sliding patio door. In the process they had to move an electrical outlet and a baseboard heating resister. Now I have someone to tackle all of my projects big or small. I can’t recommend them enough! A+++++
