DrainMaster in one word. Phenomenal! We had a clogged sewer line that flooded a basement in our rental property. We had 2 different plumbing companies come and check the issue. Both recommend excavation in order to clear or replace the line. Their estimates were extremely high ($6,000 - $16,000). We couldn't afford those prices.

So, I went online to look for different methods to fix this issue with mininal cost. One of the first companies to show up in the search results was DrainMaster. I decided to give them a call. Spoke with Charles and explained my situation. He immediately provide excellent advice. He was straight forward, and professional. He gave us a date and price which was very reasonable.

They arrive at the property, assessed the problem and began work immediately. At one piont it seem like they hit a wall and couldn't push through the clog. Charles got on the phone called for the drill snake and got back to working the problem. After about 10 mins, breakthrough!! The clogged sewer line was cleared. The crew stayed to make sure the water was flowing freely. Needless to say, we were very happy with their persistence and professional work.

Sterling replaced my existing 1/2” Id galvanized steel pipes with 3/8” and 1/4” plastic pipes and connectors. Claimed it was apples to apples exchange. I lost all my delivery and pressure. He never secured my outdoor spicket to my foundation, put one shut off in the wrong place and completely eliminated 2 other shut offs to my hot water tank. He removed my grounding line to my electrical panel box and never returned to hook it up. I called him for a year to get these issues resolved and he never answered my phone calls. Worst contractor and experience I ever had in my life.

We have been customers of Calhoun since we moved into our home in 2011. Between 2011-2018, they provided good service to us when we needed their services. However, after bad multiple encounters in 2019, we have stopped using this company.

In early 2019, we booked them to help us put in a new line for a gas stove into our kitchen. They gave us a quote and we scheduled the date. The gas line needed to be placed before other work in the kitchen could be done. They also noted that we need to replace a pipe on our water heater. They never showed up on the day of the appointment. They never reached out to us to let us know something changed, so we called to inquire. We were told that they wouldn't be able to reschedule for several days.

We found another company who came the next day and installed the gas line. The new company also noted that the line to our water heater was fine and no replacement was needed. Calhoun had quoted us for over $150 for the water heater work in addition to installing the gas line to the kitchen.

We most recently had a clog in an upstairs drain. Again, we called them and scheduled an appointment. And again, they did not show up for the appointment. And again, they did not call us to let us know that they appointment needed move--they just didn't show up.

We are disappointed by the significant shift in Calhoun's reliability and they lost a loyal customer after multiple instances of not arriving for the scheduled appointments.

Had multiple plumbing repairs needed. Called a plumbing company to schedule an appt.They gave me a 6 hour window on when to expect the tech. Didn't want to waste a day so on a whim called Columbus Handyman. I had used them on electrical and carpentry jobs in past and they had done a great job. Didn't know they did plumbing. They gave me a time when the plumber was to arrive and he showed 10 minutes early. Once he got here I explained the problems and found that he could do much more than I anticipated so we rescheduled him to come back the next day with the parts and time to complete all the plumbing repairs .
He showed up again early and did not waste anytime in completing the projects. He even came in under quoted price. This plumber has experience, works fast, knows what he is doing and is friendly. Highly recommend him and Columbus Handyman.
