Best Storm Sewer in Cleveland OH

I edited from a 1 star to a 3 because of honest feedback from the owner. It is true- I appreciated the free estimate on a Saturday. I wish they were able to come down in price on their units and labor.

They were great.

The techs were very professional and talked me through everything they were doing and why. They worked quickly and did an excellent job.

Terrible company. Absolutely avoid. Rude, unprofessional, lacks communication.

First, the guy they sent out was incredibly nosy, looking into rooms he wasnt working in and making unneccesary comments like, how is this your master bedroom? Where is your bed? None of your business (in fact the bed simply hadnt arrived yet, duh).

Secondly, no one wears shoes in our home as we feel it is unhygenic. He initially shows up wearing booties but then on the second trips to and from the house, he comes in wearing his boots.

Overall, simply an unpleasant person to deal with.

So it turns out that we needed a part for our toilet. The part took 4 weeks to arrive. I called our local hardware store and they had the same part in stock so why did it take so long?? Further more, no one ever called to give us an update, we had to continuously call.

Finally, the part arrives. The guy shows up to our house on a random day. No one was at home because there was NO advanced notice. Then the guy proceeds to tell us Oh I was supposed to be here at 8am but I forgot the part so here I am now. Mind you, it was 10am at this point. So I speak with him and I say, okay, I am not home, please come tomorrow. He says he will be there first thing in the morning.

So I am prepared for his arrival at 8am and made the proper arrangements with work so that this could happen. 8am goes by, 830 goes by. No one is here. Finally at 9 I call. They said, oh he should be here at 10. 10 comes and goes. 11 comes and goes. Finally at 11:40, I call to ask, what is going on. Apparently he was tied up with another customer still. How could that be the case when literally yesterday he said he would be here first thing in the morning??

Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. And the guy was rude as well!!

I had noticed a terrible sewer gas smell in my house, particularly in the basement. I looked for a plumber, and I chose Alert based on the stellar reviews. Fred and Gabe were able to come to my house within a few days of my call (I want to stress that this wasn't at all an emergency, so there was no rush). They arrived within the given time and even texted to let me know they were on the way (a huge help, since it allowed me to wrangle my dog). They figured out the problem very quickly and took immediate action to correct it. I was initially worried that it was going to be a costly repair, but the fix wound up being very reasonable, and Fred was communicative about price every step of the way. The entire process, from booking to payment, was very easy, and Fred and Gabe were both great at communicating the problem and were both very professional. I hope to not need a plumber again for a while, but, if I do, Alert will definitely be my first call!
