This is the third time I had John Baethke & Son to fix the master bathroom toilet. The technician Eddie Walsh recommended replacing the flushing system. I agreed, and the work was done in a timely and professional manner. It looks like the toilet is fully refurbished. My concern is that it took three visits to fix the toilet.

Very disappointed. After seeing all the great Google reviews, I was looking forward to his visit today. He didn't show up at 7am as promised nor did he respond to my text and voicemail. I used the phone number listed on his Google page. Maybe something occurred but he should have called me and let me know. That is just good business!

Dimitry was quick to answer the phone and get a repair person scheduled to assess the issue. Lenny the plumber was friendly and worked quickly. Two quick visits later, and after tracking down the right part to repair the shower faucet, I now have hot water again. I recommend giving CJ Plumbing an opportunity to fix your issue.

Highly recommend these guys. Called in on a Sunday morning after another company canceled. I had had a different well known company snake line my sewer last year and never offered hydro jet and claimed I needed a 12k dig and installation for clean-out. I decided to hold off on that and see how things are progressed for the year. When the issue came back up on a Saturday night, I called this morning and spoke to Thomas, he clearly walked through how his team could be out later this afternoon to fix problem. David showed up on time and completed a thorough Hydro jet and fix my problems without me having to spend on unnecessary extensive repairs. I will use this company going forward for regular ongoing maintenance to make sure my issues with tree roots and other buildup is prevented. I highly recommend this honest reliable team.

Sam is an outstanding plumber. He responded to my request for his services very quickly, was highly professional, and completed all tasks requested of him very efficiently. He descaled and serviced my tankless water heater that was superior to any service i have had, improved flow in a few clogged faucet screens (unscheduled request), and installed an R/O water filtration system and instant hot. All of the work he did was top notch. He works quickly and works clean. I will recommend Sam without hesitation and am looking forward to working with him for all of our future plumbing, hot water and filtration needs. Thank you Sam!

I would not recommend using their service for several reason and based on a recent experience I had with them:
1. The person who came to my place to help with rodding the main sewage was rude and unprofessional.
2. Although I already told him the problem and the fact that the way to get there is through the street main basin, he came over and charged me the consultation fee of 100$ just to confirm what I already told him.
3. They are not honest. He told me the city would not allow using the main basin at all and would fine me 50k$ if we do so. I called Evanston Building Department the next day and they said they usually don’t have any problem with that as long as they get a call and be informed.
4. They are not good at what they do. He didn’t check to see what the other options would be to rod the pipe. He just wanted to get the 100$ and get out ASAP. I called another company an hour later, the evaluated the sewage system in detail and determined a way to get the job done and fixed the issue on the same day (on the weekend).

We had two emergencies during the extreme cold weather this past winter. Our water heater exploded followed within a week by a major pipe burst. We hired 4S to get us through it and they came through with flying colors. Knowledgeable, fast, efficient and caring are just a few of the words I would use to describe them. I paid $95 to John to diagnosis my sewer gas smell in my house which can be hazardous. He did not provide a diagnosis for what my issue was, mainly gave me a bunch of “maybe it’s this” or “maybe it’s this” or your house is just old and your going to have to replace the whole main pipe through the house resolve the issue. This was all in a span of 15 min and I gave $95 for this service call, so basically was left with more questions than answers. I even started to question my career choice, and thought about going into plumbing business and tell 9 out of 10 people what he said and make a quick $95 in 15 min. On the contrary, with Kennedy Plumbing located in Alsip, they were able to come in and find out what was going on and why I was getting the smell. They found out it was the P trap in the ground and gave a few options and how I can contain the smell until I’m ready to do the repair. Again, I highly recommend Kennedy plumbing!
