Recently had Daniels come out and look at my roof top furnace/AC unit. I don't usually write reviews and judging from the good reviews Daniels has I was hesitant about this one. The tech showed up as promised and I explained I had my unit converted to natural gas in Feb.and the ignite replaced. When the weather changed recently I had no heat. He was on my roof maybe 15 mins, which I understood it was cold and windy out. He came in house with his little iPad thing and said your circuit board is burnt, your inducer fan is on its last leg and you have hail damage to the fins on the coil. You need a new furnace Then the really bad news, $8,000 and we have a different in stock. So I wrote a check (deposit) for $4000 and he photoed it and it was automatically deposited. Two weeks till installation. Within next week I had unexpected expenses come in and I had to cancel the whole thing. So I called Daniels for a refund, don't think they wanted to do that. They finally agreed to send me a check, minus service charge, diagnostic fee, and possibly restocking charge. That was now 11 days ago. Hmmm, in mean time I decided to look at my furnace. First hail damage to cooling fins has nothing to do with heat, next I looked at my neighbors circuit board, hmmm same dark spots where resistor was soldered in, third my board was winking and blinking at me with a code, if it has enough life to tell me something is wrong then it should have life to give me some heat. I looked around and voila, found mounting screws for igniter really loose, tightened them, pulled fuse on circuit board, checked ok and put it back, voila again, no more winking and blinking just steady red light. Guess what, my furnace now works as well if not better than it ever has. Hope to see a refund check soon

First off, I called several companies and Simmons promptly returned my call and fit our service into their schedule just two days later. I was given an arrival window of 8:30 to 9:00. At precisely 8:30 I received a call that Dean was 5-10 minutes away. Sure enough, Dean showed up as he said he would. This is shocking to me because we have used a larger company in town many times for our plumbing and cooling needs and they always give a 4-hour window and often show up much later with zero apologies for making you wait 5 hours (I suspect said big company overbooks its technicians which can be awful for the technicians and customers).

Dean serviced our swamp coolers and found a problem that the big company missed (likely because that big company splits their focus on trying to sell me a new system or their annual service contract). Dean fixed the problem and got the coolers up and running in short order. The price was commensurate with his time.

Based on this experience, I recommend Simmons Plumbing without hesitation.
