We scheduled a time for EZ Plumbing to look at my plumbing issue. They never showed up. They didn't let me know beforehand or during the window. They didn't reply to my communication. They never followed up. My time is valuable. I expect yours is as well. So, I do not recommend.

I called my home warranty company HWA to report that my evaporative cooler wasn't working and they assigned me to Ashcraft Mechanical. After performing a quick Google search for the company and saw the sole review they had, which was on Yelp with 1 star. To say the least I wasn't too enthusiastic about using them and decided to call the home warranty company to have another company assigned to assist us.

After 4 days of waiting for HWA to find another company we decided to use Ashcraft despite the review. During their first visit to evaluate the problem, the techs were on time, polite and very efficient. They told us the problem with the cooler and the it would require replacement as it wasn't worth it to fix. By this time we had been dealing with the high heat outside and it was even hotter in our house. The tech managed to do what I couldn't do, get the cooler to limp along and provide some cooling while they did the quote and submitted it to HWA. HWA sat on the quote for a few days and after repeated calls the quote was approved and we called Ashcraft late Thursday to let them know as they had been calling HWA also. Their office staff was incredibly polite and said they needed to confirm and would call us back. In less than 5 minutes they called us back and asked if we would be home the next day, which was a Friday. The techs showed up around noon and in less than an hour and a half they removed the old cooler and installed the new one and had it up and running.

I know the other review used HWA also, and felt that Ashcraft was the cause of the issues they experienced. But in my family's experience, it was HWA that caused the delays and issues not Ashcraft Mechanical. I would highly recommend Ashcraft to anyone, while advising those same people to stay away from HWA.

Donny doesn't return calls and has even said, I'm lucky that he even works with me since he's old and trying to retire. I've used him on several projects both as a homeowner and as a contractor, but he's unreliable at best. He knows his stuff, but doesn't answer phone calls, text messages or emails, and his son is a COMPLETE clown. If Donny ever tells you that he's bringing Donny Junior to a job, lock the doors and put anything valuable away. If you want stuff done cheap and maybe done right, Donny is the right guy. If you want it done right and possibly cheap, keep shopping.

If I could leave negative stars I freakin would!! My home warranty company Contracted this so-called company to come out between 11 and 3 PM for a major sewage back up I’m talking about sewer water in both of my bathrooms in my home. They showed up at 6 o’clock did not even introduce him selves or show any kind of identification that they worked for the company came in took pictures asked me for $65 and I ask them when they were going to do the work they said they weren’t sure they were going to be able to that they had to submit it to my warranty company first which was a lie when I told him I wasn’t giving them $65 telling you something was going to be done they got in the truck and left!!! Disgusting scammers !!!!
