Avoid! Steve (big guy with pony tail) came to look at my leaking shower. He tried to persuade me to avoid my insurance company, pointed his finger in my face several times, called me stupid, tried to instigate an argument between me and my neighbor, insulted my girlfriend, refused to provide a formal estimate before beginning work, sought for me to admit all liabilities prior to work (and diagnosis), and was told by my management to leave the building due to his inappropriate behavior. His assistant gave me a ballpark estimate for the work, which was 3.5 times the amount my insurance company would authorize. I went to Jiffy plumbing, who did it for 1/4 the price, and they were nice.

I would run swiftly in the other direction if you are considering using this company! Save yourself the headache.

Contracted Mr. Super Plumber (Maurice Walton), on Thursday, December 10 to do a very simple install and exchanging out of pipes and rough-in in the basement before concrete was poured. I hesitantly gave him a 40% upfront and he also asked for another 10% when the job began. Regrettably, I did this and this is where the nightmare began. I know the job was simple because we hired a plumber afterwards who did the job in a half of day with a complete crew. Hindsight is always 20/20!

He showed up the following Tuesday with one worker that did not speak english (called him his helper) and was completely unprepared to do what we had contracted him to do. He spent most of that first day talking and making excuses about why he could only work 4 hours the first day instead of 8. He said that he was tired from having to respond to an emergency at a woman's house the day before. He asked me if it was ok for him to leave early after the first day because he was tired and that he was ahead of schedule. The work that he did on the 1st day could have been done in one hour with a skilled crew.

Day 2 and 3 were much of the same, he showed up late, left early, left the jobsite on multiple occasions for product runs, and had tons of excuses why a one day job had turned into 5. Maurice also communicated to me that my presence on the job site (the house that I own) made him nervous and asked me to trust him and that good work takes time. This was just another ploy and pressure tactic for him to avoid doing what he said that he would do. Aside from all of these other issues, Mr. Super Plumber was just unprofessional. There was zero urgency to do what he communicated at the time that he said we was going to do it. These were signs that I missed.

The entire time that he was on site he kept reminding me of how much money I was saving by using him and how he wasn't charing me more for things that he began to see that he did not anticipate. I regret that I did not follow my first instinct when I met him and went elsewhere.

To date he has received $3700 dollars from me and on the following Monday when he promised he was going to get the job done has disappeared and is not answering my phone calls or that of our general contractor. He told me that $2700 were for materials and all he bought was $100 worth of PVC pipe at best which are still left on site. I intend to file a police report as well because of this money that was stolen from me. To date he has not returned the deposit that we gave him and stated on the phone in our last conversation that he does not intend to.

I would run swiftly in the other direction if you are considering using this company or guy. I can not say this strongly enough!

Robert Boyle is a first class plumber. He immediately saw the problem with the metal fatigue of a kind of flimsy knob and suggested a more secure fix for it that involved re-piping and a blow torch. He helped with the repair of another part of the water filter, and re-installed it, cleaning up the hoses and mounting to keep it out of the way more. First-class. He advised me on the damage that had been done and brought in another top notch expert in his area, Hillel Schwartzman, who was checking for the extent of the water damage from the water filter leak and immediately made preparations to help me report the damage to my insurance company and call in a team to remove water-damaged flooring and install fans, dehumidifiers and an air scrubber--all done with little waiting even though it was a Sunday afternoon and early evening. I appreciate the way both men took the time to educate me about the damage and the needed repairs--they clearly have a wealth of knowledge and great people skills to boot. The team who came in to do the removal of damaged materials and set up the fans and other equipment were Manny 5434 and Mike 4724. They were polite, efficient (finishing within the estimated time, even 15 minute early), and neat (moving things out of a pantry as needed after asking me my preference for re-locations and cleaning up debris from the removal of the damaged materials). After they left, I felt assured I was in good hands, and my dollars were well-spent.From my experiences with these several different employees, I have the impression Roto-Rooter hires people with versatile skills and, equally important, thinking skills to decide on the best actions to take in addressing damage. They also show authentic respect for the customer. Many companies say they put customers first, but this company sent me people who fully walked the talk.

These folks do great work. When the pilot light on our year-old hot water heater wouldn't stay lit, they correctly diagnosed the problem and made the necessary repairs (as oppossed to the first folks we called who tried to sell us a new water heater), including making sure that all the parts were covered under warranty, correctly diagnosed an additional problem with the heater venting and recommended a great service to fix it. They are our plumber from now on.

I found Eric to be very knowledgeable about the work that I needed. He explains things very well, and gives you options on how you want to approach a job if there is more than one way to do so. He is very efficient and arrived promptly and understood the problems I had immediately. He is very good about explaining the cost of the job, which I found reasonable. His work is excellent and he took the time to show me how things worked after the job was done. I highly recommend him, and I would be pleased to have him return for any other work that I might need to have done.

I have been using this compony services for several years now. It does not matter if you have major project or just need small repair they are always available, come on time , reasonably priced and do quality work .Highly recommend .

R&G Plumbing came out to repair a burst pipe. They capped the pipes (for about $300), but did not fix it, telling me they'll come back in a few days. They then quoted me over $4000 to finish the job (we found someone else who did a great job for less than $500). Lastly, they damaged some of the siding when they were working and have refused to fix or replace it. Working with them was a horrible experience. I will never use them again.
