Once he begins the repairs, it is like a tactical strike. He is highly quick and proficient in his repairs without cutting corners. He also takes time to explain what was done and go over repairs and over tips for future things.

Nick was awesome! Showed up early, got right to the root of the situation, shared some advice for some other questions we had. We learned some things that will help us out in the future as well. He was down to earth, really nice, and let me tell am I relieved to get my dishwasher, sink, and washer back. All the reviews I read rang true and im so glad I called. Getting a new faucet and will be calling them again to help us get it installed.

Very knowledgeable and thorough in his explanations on what the problem was and what he was going to do to correct it. When my son put a wooden ball down the toilet I didn’t think we’d be able to get it fixed the same day but Mr. Bertolino was able to fit us in. He explained everything and told us up front all of the possibilities and what it would mean for the bill. He was able to get the ball out much quicker than we expected too. Professional and quick. I have known the owners Patrick and Virginia for many years, and I will tell anyone that they are a premier company who listens to the customer first, and works their magic second. They are on time, very responsive and understanding in a customers expectations. As a past customer myself, I would recommend them to anyone for anything from a small plumbing repair to a major renovation to a middle of the night emergency need. Great thing is, they do residential and commercial.

We had a natural gas pipe develop a leak, which resulted in the gas company shutting off and locking our meter. Without gas, we had no stove, but worse, no hot water. This was on a Tuesday night. He came out on Wednesday, replaced to leaky pipe, and contacted the city inspector (part of the process). They came out on Thursday, and we had hot water! He did not gouge us on price and he worked really quickly. THANK YOU! I would recommend him to anyone.

We were in the final week of selling our house so finding a good contractor was critical to completing the sale. Aaron and Dave from A-1 came to the house and fixed all the inspection discrepancies and found other plumbing and HVAC issues that needed corrected. They finished all the work in one afternoon and I wasn't even in town. There work was noted as exceptional by the inspector and they were key to allowing us to complete the house sale. They are A-1 !!

If I could give him a zero star, I would. AVOID Star Rooter and Plumbing, unless you like to be taken advantage of and made to pay more than the estimate. They are dishonest.
Got an estimate for a sewer lateral and they tried to charge us about $1500 more during the job on some b.s. that the pipe would not go all the way back to our property line. What was the estimate for then?
At the end, he finished the job, but we ended up paying more because they are dishonest. Go with someone else.
