I would not recommend using this contractor for any repairs, I would give zero stars if possible. I recently hired this company to repair some broken pieces of siding on my home. Mike (the owner) came out and did a horrible job. He left pieces cracked, cut and crooked, it was a disaster. Anyone would be able to tell the job was not done correctly. When I inspected his work and informed him that there were pieces that needed to be corrected, Mike got very angry. He was extremely unprofessional and downright disrespectful to both me and my wife. In the end, Mike got paid in full and we still have to hire and pay someone else to fix all of the areas Mike did not fix correctly.

Trust me, you do NOT want to deal with Accent Home Improvements. ITS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE.

We have used Mr. Dodd for over 30 years because we can always rely on excellent service. He has completed several HVAC jobs for us during that time. When you call James Dodd Heating Cooling and Plumbing, the phone is answered by his wife Carolyn. With her pleasant manner, she does a thorough job getting detailed information about the HVAC problem. When Mr. Dodd arrives, he has a base of information to assess the problem. He then prepares a detailed work order including the material needed to complete the job, the amount of time to complete the job, and the cost.

Over the years, Mr. Dodd has replaced an entire HVAC system in an older house we owned, completed a tune-up on an existing system (several times), replaced just a part of an HVAC system rather than the whole system, and this week, replaced a gas hot water heater for our home.

Several years ago, Mr. Dodd hired his grandson as an assistant. The two work as a great team. So, when you call Dodd Heating Cooling and Plumbing, the same team arrives to do the job every time.

Our latest plumbing problem had the team arrive, check the type of water heater needed, and locate where the water heater was in the house. The Dodd team was back in a short period of time. They removed the old water heater, installed the new water heater, and hauled the old water heater away. From start to finish, the job was completed in a timely fashion.

When Mr. Dodd left to purchase a new water heater, he could have easily stopped at a nearby Big Box store. Instead, he went to a wholesaler and purchased a higher quality water heater at a much lower price.

We highly recommend James Dodd Heating Cooling and Plumbing. They’ve become like family!

The service is great. The people are are too. Scheduling is great also. But it’s gonna hit you in the pockets a little bit. But you get what you pay for.

Robin at Baybreeze made a shocking number of mistakes when hired to fix an exterior gas leak, dragging out what should have been done in 3 days to a full 3 weeks.

After ‘fixing’ the leak the first time, we learned from the city that his work failed inspection, and the lines were still leaking. After ‘fixing’ it a second time, VBG turned our gas back on, but the technician discovered an uncapped line spilling out beneath our deck. Had the technician not caught this and corrected Robin’s negligence, the consequences could have easily been catastrophic for us.

After coming out a third time, the leaks were finally fixed and the lines capped, but he proceeded to install a valve he’d removed earlier for no clear reason (it wasn’t the one leaking) in the wrong spot, and we ended up once again with gas cut off to our gas pack furnace, and our tankless water heater.

After all of this was finally settled, he proceeded to overcharge us by about $250 above what we’d agreed upon, citing the cost of a second pressure test (a test that would not have been necessary had he simply done his job right the first, or even second time around).

Robin was full of excuses at every turn, but all in all, based on my experience he and his company did not demonstrate the competence or reliability necessary to safely work on natural gas. I feel he left my home and my family at risk, and I cannot recommend that anyone hire him in the future.

We just purchased a home with an electric water heater and have 0 experience in plumbing. Set up an appointment last night, got a call this morning telling us they had a cancelation and a plumber was 30 minutes out (score!!). William (tech #3066 I’m giving him full credit cuz he was a life saver!!) came out, looked at the issue, fixed it in less than an hour and got us hot water! He showed us everything we needed and gave us some much needed tips. For new home owners, he’s a much needed asset. Defiantly calling William in the future for all our issues. 100/10 service!

My family and I would like to thank Lamonte Gatling for his service. He was very professional and detailed. He took his time to analyze the root cause of our leak. We will definitely request him in the event future issues arise.

Terrible customer service. Did not listen to my problem, told me something needed to be fixed on my system and I paid a lot of money for it to be fixed, it did not fix my problem, and then found out they had left a reversing valve off one of my units since the last time I had work done (6 months ago). They came back out again and put that piece back in which did fix the problem (which they caused), and then they would not refund me for the work that they told me needed to be done that did not fix anything. Took them 3 weeks to call me back after my complaint. And they treated me like I was not intelligent. I would not recommend them to anyone.
