Simon of Clearwater Leak Detection, Inc. arrived as scheduled. A little early if I recall but I was happy that he was. It Shows professionalism and integrity in my estimation.
Using his test equipment he set out to locate the underground pipes and find the leak. He was meticulous and seemed to be very precise in his testing and evaluation. In under two hours he had laid out and marked the location of the underground pipe. He located the source of the leak and marked the asphalt/grass accordingly. (See Photo)
He used had sensitive sound sensing equipment to locate the pipe run and the leak. He did this by turning off the water supply at the water meter. He pressurized the water line with compressed air from his truck. His air line was connected to one of the hose bibs at the residence. Using the sound generated by the air pressure escaping from the line underground, he systematically located the pipe run and isolated the leak. His methods, equipment and the use of that equipment was very impressive. The leak was 26 Inches underground and approximately 24 inches from the Blue X (See Photo). The entire water pipe run is about 60 feet end to end and he located the leak within two feet.
In November of 2018 I had experience with another leak detector. Due to their lack of professionalism, they were NOT on my call back list.
If I ever need leak detection service again, I sincerely hope that Clearwater Leak Detection will be available. They are highly recommended.
As to cost of the service, I believe all the leak detection services charge within a few dollars of one another, about $450. But I have to tell you, after I spent two days digging up my yard to locate a leak in my rocky Spanaway property, I am kicking myself for not calling them sooner.

HD partner's are always a pleasure to work with. Brian and Nick are both kind, responsive and knowledgeable professionals. They always arrive when they say they will and work quickly to get the job done. They have been my go-to plumbing partner for years, and have always delivered on their promises.

I am a home owner and a landlord, so I have had experience with plumbers and dealing with sewers. Wasn't quiet sure at first about the man of few words. Then he quoted my job, made a couple of jokes and did the best most efficient job ever! He was timely, had hard workers and was the best price outta my 3 bids. Super pleased. I highly recommend Paul and his crew.

I came back from vacation and my dishwasher had some standing water. I called Joe and he immediately got back with me about some troubleshooting on it. Thankfully it was just a tripped breaker.

Thanks for the Excellent Work. The courteous technicians at Seattle Plumbing performed a very professional evaluation of what was required to bring this 1976-built home up to modern heating and cooling efficiency standards. And that translates to SAVING MONEY! We decided to switch to a gas system rather than maintain a completely electric home. A BIG JOB? YES! The extent of our residence. Two furnaces and two air handlers are required. NOT A PROBLEM FOR SEATTLE PLUMBING-TRAINED PROFESSIONALS! The amiable group. Phil and Cass confirmed to my wife and me that (WE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE IN HIRING SEATTLE TO DO THE JOB). Thank you for a JOB WELL DONE. Nick and Bruen. THE HUDGINES FAMILY.. while KUDO wags his tail.

I called Washington Rooter in an absolute panic watching water pool out of my water heater. Within 20 minutes of calling, Farid was in my garage diagnosing the issue and stopping the water. Being a first time home buyer I felt extremely confident and comfortable as he explained what happened and that I needed a new water heater. He coordinated the purchase of a new water heater and completely white glove did everything while keeping me in the loop throughout. I highly recommend!!

Watch out for these guys, as they will try to rip you off as much as possible! Very dishonest people.
They inspected our 5-yr old tankless water heater and identified that a part had to be replaced. After we gave them the go ahead on replacing the part (heat exchanger) worth < $300, without our consent, they replaced the whole unit (which they provided themselves with a 60% mark-up for $2,000). And then they threatened consequences if we didn't pay the price immediately.
When we asked in a respectful manner why the mark-up was unreasonable and why we hadn't been notified of switch from part replacement to unit, Evan (owner) started using curse words and started threatening.
After we paid them, we asked for our old unit (one day after their service), they said they had tossed it out and it couldn't be retrieved.
Having said all of that, they responded promptly with a same day service and everything was back online and working after 3 hours, so if you don't mind them stealing from you, this business can be a good choice.
We recommend getting a 2nd opinion if they tell you the unit has to go.
