Kevin, the technician, went above and beyond after several tries and two tools he cleared a stubborn clog and adhered to the initial estimate. I would use this company again.

Called a plumber out to help me figure out where the leak was. Turns out two of the toilets were running when I was out of town. The techs solution was to replace the parts 2k or replace the toilets 4K and was pushing me to replace the toilets because who knows other parts might fail and I’ll have to replace the toilet in a month anyways. The 4 k price includes 2 toilets plus install and takeaway. I asked them how many hours this would take and what’s their hourly charge and material costs. And his response was we charge by job. I told them to email me the estimate which they never did. And when he left I went on Home Depot’s website and they charge 20 dollars for the parts to replace, 100-300 dollars for the toilet and Home Depot will install each toilet for 315 each. So even if I did go the route of two new toilets plus install and take away that’s still $1200. 4K for that same job is highway robbery. And I get it plumbers will often charge 4x more for an emergency call but this wasn’t an emergency call issue since I already had called the water department to turn off the water and had the water turned off at the main. And when I found out it was those two toilets I had turned off the water to those bathrooms. So there was no emergency and they weren’t offering to do it same day to fix my problem.

These people are either crooks or the tech gets paid hourly and was just killing time giving me an outrageous number while sitting in his van pretending to write up an estimate he never sent me. Because he had me wait a good 20 minuets before his estimate was “ready” to talk about.

Got the job done. Fast and neatly. Nothing you xan complain about. Pricey but I did not know there was an apple lodged in that toilet and even if I had known i would not have known what to do...

Best ability is availability and they’re always available we manage multiple bars and always need service late night without someone trying to charge us an arm and a leg so we’re grateful for their consistency (4years)

$325 to replace a max $20 fill valve on a toilet that took one hour of work is just crazy. Full Stop.
Why didn't I push back on the invoice at the moment I was asked to give my credit card you ask? I didn't want to make a scene in front of my invalid mother and her caretaker. To the latter, $325 would be 16 HOURS+ of my caregiver's wages if she needed to address the same issue. No wonder folks are fleeing SF to more affordable places.
Do better 24-7 Rooter & Plumbing and don't gouge your customers.

George Salet's company is very professional in interactions and expertise. Although my first experience wasn't perfect, they have followed up numerous times and the second visit was superb. We have used Ace a plumbing for over five years. Their teams are knowledgeable, hard working and have really helped us out multiple times. Jeff and Russ have been our points of contact and always show up on time and finish the job expertly. I really appreciate that this company has apprentices (or something like this) where the more experienced team member helps show the newer member the jobs. We had a severely clogged bathtub last week and Russ was here and allowed Roy to complete the job once he was certain what the job entailed. I think this form of training is really superb and I don’t know any other company that still does this. Ace plumbing has fixed or replaced half of our plumbing so far and is honest in price and the work never fails.

There are not enough good words I can say about Ben Jacobs plumbing!!! In those stormy crazy rainy days we had recently in Oakland our whole basement and crawl space was completely Flooded . Water started to accumulate every were to the point it's stated
To get scary I couldn't even see the wine bottles I had on there. And that's because our sump pump burned out cause it couldn't handle with this heavy rain . I called few companies on a Sunday noon but non of them responded . Ben Jacob answered ride a a way and was real Pleasent to talk with . I explained to him the problems and within 24 hours I had new pump installed and all water was gone .super responsive and and amazingly professional solved it super quick I will definitely recommend this company.
