It was a Sunday afternoon, everything was closed and I couldn’t get the water off to a broken sprinkler head spraying water everywhere. Anthony answered the customer service line, and instead of charging me a arm and leg sending someone on a Sunday, he calmly talked me through turning the water off myself till i can get someone to repair it during the week. I love it when companies show human decency and a spirit of helping over their bottom line. Would definitely recommend this company and Anthony in particular.

Ideal has been by three times in the past month for a few different items. Ample time to see if they’re the kind of company that tries to turn everything into an up sell (it’s worth it, right? Instead of a $100 repair, they could try to talk you into a $5,000 replacement!).But no. I got awesome repairs and intelligent description of my heating or plumbing problems. These guys are great!Oh, this last time they also showed up early. That was refreshing.

I appreciated the advice and options discussed during the bid process. The install was made with the most professional work. The installer was kind and helpful.

Our installer (Jonathan) did an excellent job installing our new water heater. He fixed a lot of the issues with the original install of the previous water heater, I was very impressed with his attention to detail and he didn't hesistate to answer any questions I had for him. Appointment person wouldn’t listen to Clients availability and instead hang-up on me while trying to explain tine restrictions of my Tenants.After explaining twice about time constraints, this Appointment person insisted that their contract with the Home Warranty Company is such and would not listen to my Tenants availability and work around their schedule.Poor Service provider from setting up appointment, how much more when it comes to the actual work.I feel sorry for the owner of this business.

Had a leak behind my refridgerator. Called Carmel Valley Plumbing and Jeff returned my call promptly. Despite his busy schedule, he came by in a few hours to assess the problem. He explained the issue thoroughly and was able to fix it. Jeff is professional and conscientious. I'd highly recommend Carmel Valley Plumbing!

Background: Our condo HOA is using ProTec for repairs. I get the invoices and review them. They routinely charge for basic tools such as a hammer, nail puller, caulk gun, bucket, bottled water for the workers etc. etc. They keep the tools! They add a 30% handling fee to invoices from Home Depot, Dixieline etc. unless we give them an HOA credit card which we won't do. Work example: They used regular nails on a dry rotted exterior deck handrail and trim repair. Best practice is to use galvanized fasteners that don't rust through the paint. Very poor value for what amounts to handyman level work.
