Brent was in communication with me from the time we set the appointment and he showed up when he said he would. Quick diagnosis and fixed for a reasonable price. The home warranty people would have let us go two weeks with no hot water but Strittmatter took care of us the same day.

Quality of plumbing repair was typical of an average plumber. Pricing was outrageous. Scheduling was difficult - had an appointment on Friday morning, the guy came and looked at the issue (apparently the initial appointment is not for plumbing but for some sort of scheduler to come out???) - I had opened the drywall to expose a plumbing leak in the upstairs bathroom, and there was a leak at the valve at the house in the main line from the street / meter. Was given estimates based on worst-case repair of line from the street, which would require replacement of the entire line, or repair of supply line somewhere under the slab (issue was neither - the valve had given way and needed to be replaced). Guy scheduled service maybe Saturday or probably Monday, depending on availability of plumbers. Plumbers came on Saturday afternoon, with no call letting us know when they would arrive. Leak in bathroom was repaired, although they did not relieve pressure in the line before cutting the pipe and made a mess in the wall and the kitchen below. The main line leak issue was identified as the valve and repaired. They insisted the repair estimate applied and that the correct pricing for replacing a valve is thousands of dollars.

I'd go elsewhere for a slab leak, these guys had a hard time locating what was a very audible leak...ended up tunneling about 20ft to the left when the leak was always about 6ft to the right. Of course they found some marginal things along the way, so it was all on my dime. Going in from the foundation vs through the floor seems like a good idea until you realize how crude the detection method is. The sub-floor reroutes reduced the hot water flow...still annoying a year later.

Alex arrived right on time, was professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Really great experience, particularly given the subpar experience I have had recently with numerous contractors! We will definitely use Legacy Plumbing again and will request Alex specifically!
